Sadly the only way that Levi can hope to escape is to gnaw his own arm off.
I still believe that Levi should stop all of this Hollywood nonsense and just sit down to write his book. I mean what is he waiting for?
Honestly, what I see is someone playing a role and feeling kinda silly. I don't see Levi as either totally bad or totally innocent and truthful. I do wish him well, and hope he stays safe and doesn't sell his soul. weird--my wv is solfur. As in what Hugo Chavez said Bush left behind when he left the room. Watch out Levi!!!

ReplyDeleteI disagree. If Levi has something to tell, and what he tells is the true parentage of Trig, not even Sister Sarah will be able to subvert the system to such a degree that he'd be kept from his child. She'd look diabolical,if she tried.
On the other hand, if Trig is not his (which I personnaly doubt), whatever he might have to say about the Palins should not be predicated on whether or not Sarah is going to go hunting for his head. As long as he talks truth, he should be free to respond to any question asked.
I, for one, hope he's harboring a juicy nugget. Sarah deserves what she gets.

ReplyDeleteKathy is a very funny lady. She does not hold back just because a subject is going to be controversial. She is on it about religions and homophobes. If some of her attitude rubs off on Levi to take back to his Wasilla it will be an improvement. His handlers are aware that timing is everything. I think Sherry Johnston's case is a snag.
ReplyDeleteLevi is that wide eyed kid that was plucked by a black helicopter to go center stage. He does need time to build confidence and find that man inside to handle all the madness. I don't have a problem if he wants to pursue a variety of career potentials. In a capitalist society that is the way it goes. You work with what you have. He would rather be hunting and if all goes well he will eventually be able to make that life out of the spotlight.
It is almost a sure betcha that Sarah Palin's book will be moosecrap, scooped up by a targeted group. It will not be easy on Levi if he offers another kind of moosecrap. He really needs to get it all out about the Wasilla he grew up in, set the background. Hockey, school, church, sex and peers. The unvarnished truth about what happened to him at the Palin house. I don't know how they handled Piper when her sister was sleeping with a teen age boyfriend. Was Levi the only one? At six the precocious kids I know are aware of any and everything in their environment. Alcohol and drugs are a problem for kids everywhere. How could the parents miss what is so obvious about Wasilla teens? Bristol was not one of the studious ones that avoided the lake front party scenes. The best of kids when under the influence do things to get knocked up. Levi and Mercedes know specifics about Wasilla. They could help open up a national conversation. The problems of drugs and unwed teenagers aren't going away. You may have seen the CNN report about young children in Maine getting heroin for five bucks? A man reported that increase of heroin and Oxycontin is in rapid growth. Come on Levi, you know the world is not going to be better for your son if the adults don't get on these problems. You can't just wall in a compound and keep your kids on lock up. I rather he skip the book if he can't tell it all. I know everyone is interested in the baby gate incidents and dates. With or without a book that is a must.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't worry too much about Kathy Griffin getting her claws into Levi. That "date" was set up to mutually benefit both exposure and media wise. It was a "career" date. Kathy was doing Levi a favor and vice versa. Kathy is no fan of Sarah so I'm sure that was an added perk.

Sadly, I had to admit "B 6:20" has a good point. Levi should have partnered up with a decent editor by now, and have at least an outline and maybe even a first draft of his book to show publishers. The Palin's will be the grandparents of the boy(s) forever, so he has good reason to pull his punches.
ReplyDeleteThe book that will not be swayed by family entanglements would be the book Geoffrey Dunn is researching. I have little doubt Meghan McCain's upcoming book will be a bit sugar-coated for her dad's sake and we can discount Quittypant's book as pure self-serving fiction.
I hope to hear more about "the former staff member's" upcoming eye witness accounts - I hope s/he gets a decent offer fast, and is at the keyboard right now.

All I saw was the Anchorage Press article on Levi which didn't have any new information in it. Did I miss something? Gryphen, I recall you writing that you'd be pissed if what you promised your readers didn't come about. There was news from DZ on a civil suit, but that didn't strike me as related to the information you had. What's the update on your story, plz?

I think that Levi will keep quiet about Trig. I truly believe that he and Bristol both were so devastated that Trig was born with DS that they are just very thankful to Sarah and Todd for taking Trig as their own. Remember on the Tyra show how Sherry talked about how Levi wanted a boy to hunt with and do boy things with and how he always wanted a perfect little boy? Remember how Bristol talked so much about how healthy Tripp was on the GVS show? I just found it odd that both Levi and Bristol put so much emphasis on the health of Tripp. Not saying that teenagers don't want healthy babies but most just assume that their babies will be healthy and put more emphasis on the baby being cute and precious, if you know what I mean.

There's a clip of Kathy and Levi's interview at E Online. Looks like they both had fun - Kathy Griffin is a funny lady so I think Levi had an entertaining evening. Plus all the teen celebs were there -how cool is that for someone his age to experience? Kathy joked that Levi is her lover and that she'd have his baby just like Bristol did. Too funny.

ReplyDeleteI've said it before and I'll say it again. The rumors that Levi and Bristol are the parents of Trig are widespread. Levi has had a million chances to deny the rumors. That he has not done so peaks volumes. It would be very easy for him to say the rumors are crazy and he knows that Sarah Palin is the birth mother of Trig.

I also agree that he & Bristol were in no position to handle a down syndrome child, in fact any baby while still teenagers in high school. Add the complication that Sarah had her eye on that VP nomination, so it makes perfectly good sense for Sarah & Todd to raise Trig as their own. Sarah & Todd were in a better position to cover added medical expenses, and Sarah could cash in on pro-life, pro-disabled agendas.
ReplyDeleteI will also make a guess, and this is only my opinion based on nothing but my over active imagination (no law suits, please), that in the course of the adoption process, the few people close to Levi and Levi had to sign confidentiality agreements or risk serious penalty.
The part of the story that is difficult to figure out is why Levi was living at the Palin's house when Bristol was pregnant with Trip. Unless they were married, he would have no reason to be there. In fact, they were home schooling then. I understand Bristol not going to school, but Levi wasn't getting morning sickness, gaining weight or anything else. Unless he was there following the birth of Trig, helping Bristol take care of that baby. S We have all seen the photo of Levi and Bristol tenderly holding and kissing Trig at the Republican Convention.
If Levi had a really juicy book to sell, I think that someone would have snapped it up by now. If he is being muzzled, and his only stories involve the campaign trail, hunting, fishing and life in Alaska, he is lucky to get another 15 minutes, courtesy of Kathy Griffin.
I think Levi is doing just fine. He is living his life, and not getting into the mud. He has more smarts (with the aide of his attorney) than Palin. Being on a career date with an older woman.. big deal. I have a great man friend, a cutie 20 years younger than me who goes to company parties with me (I'm a woman by the way). Actually, a juicy book may not be a good thing, it could tell all, but why? Levi's son will have to read it when he grows up. Who benefits? Sarah Baracuda is taking herself down.

Actually, this is all a good thing: Levi did fine on the stupid "date" video with her, it was mildly funny, now he sees how cheap that all is. Great experience for him. I agree with previous poster that Rex is grooming him for either greater exposure, or for realizing how thin all this is so he can decide to go home. Still, he wants to make some money -- I sure would -- so he can get set up in Alaska.
