Today is a busy day.

I have quite a full day today so I am not sure when I will be back to post. But let me give you a few things to ponder.

First let me address the question I constantly get about why I just don't post EVERYTHING I know about Sarah Palin, babygate, and other potential scandals.

Though many of you may believe that I am an unimpeachable source and that everything I say is beyond reproach (and by the way thank you for that) the rest of the world does not necessarily share your confidence.

In other words if I post something to this blog that cannot be independently verified by other sources than it is just a rumor and it will be ignored. Now I could go to other, more reliable news outlets, like MSNBC or CNN, and tell them my story. But unless my sources are willing to talk directly to them then once again it will do me no good. And currently they are not.

And I learned a little something with my last explosive post. Even stories that you have been told are about to be published on a given day or time, may not be. There were a few articles that I knew were being written, and interviews about to be given, that have not yet seen the light of day.

There is a lot happening behind the scenes. Some of which I do know, and much I do not know. But before I go forward with another bombshell I am going to make damn sure backup is only a day or so away.

Another question I have been asked is about Thomas Van Flein. Did he pursue legal action?

No, he did not, and I don't believe he ever intended to do so. He was simply trying to intimidate me. When that did not work, according to certain websites, he started working with a couple of less then reputable bloggers, who decided to out me, and then make up lies about me. All of which resulted in a slew of new fans, some journalistic credibility, and a higher profile at my job. (They had no idea what I do and are now big supporters.)

As some of you may know those same tactics are being used to go after other bloggers who are also working to reveal Palin's dirty secrets. Remember as much as you may want to go over and defend your favorite bloggers, please know that these sites make money from an increase in visits. By giving them more hits you also give them more cash.

For some of them picking fights with us is the only way to get anybody to even pay attention to them. Just like Sarah Palin, they want to steal the attention that others have earned legitimately. Do not give them that satisfaction.

I will leave you with the wise words of my friend Shannyn Moore, who leaned over to me in the middle of my very bad week and said, "If you were not over the target, you would not be receiving so much flak".

And how much has the lovely Ms. Moore suffered from the attack that the Palin-bots launched against her? Well I will let this picture tell the story:

So you keep the faith my friends. With your support we can move mountains.

As Fox Mulder might say, "The truth is out there", and you can count on the fact we will reveal it.

Go for the truth Gryphen. There are a lot of folks who love and count on you out here!

Gryphen, I am keeping the faith. Glad you are following your instincts and doing things in your own time. The truth will come out eventually. I do not visit C4P or any of the "other sites" because as you pointed out, it only brings attention to them. Well, that and the fact I simply have no stomach for Sarah worship.

You are right, the Bots didn't seem to do anything for Shannyn but make her more popular. Bet that makes them apoplectic!

Hang tough Gryphen! SP is an extraordinarily ruthless bully, without a shred of conscience. Be safe, first. The truth will reveal itself with time.

Some of us may be impatient to see her behind bars, but remember how far she has fallen. Less than a year ago she was introduced as the "pitbull" of the republican party. Since that time, she has become a laughing-stock, her popularity has nose-dived, and she has made enemies left and right with her reckless and ignorant decisions. Today she does not dare show her face in public and her inane twittering has gone silent.

I don't think we have seen the last of her, but her golden chance at unearned power has passed her by, and she will NEVER EVER be supported by the majority of American citizens.

  4. Van Flea can't sue anyone who reports a Sarah Plain "rumour" because he doesn't have a case, and Sarah will never appear in court to be deposed...it's just that simple. Gryphen reported about the divorce because he knew people in Alaska were talking to Star and the Globe.
We all know if Sarah had proof of Trig's biological parentage she would have produced it. She doesn't, so she just points to Bristol and Tripp, and says I told ya so....

I've never gone to those horrid sites, because I don't want to contribute to their attempt to profit off of their bad behavior.

Sometimes I wish you didn't link to their sites when they link here, because I was taken there by accident one day, as I tried to hit "post comment" and the screen scrolled up, as it does all of the time, and my attempt to hit enter, clicked on the icky site and contaminated my computer with filth. I had to shut down all of my open browsers and clean cookies before I could come back!

They're just trying to get noticed. I've seen the Palin cult going a little nuts on social networking sites, trying desperately to redirect the conversation to her.

    She's irrelevant.

  6. Gee, looking at that pic, Rachel Maddow looks taller than I thought, only because Shannyn doesn't look short in any of the pictures I've seen of her, but Rachel looks like she has at least two inches on her.

Gryphen, something unrelated to what you normally post on, I remember the Alaska Report having a blurb that a former Palin staffer was trying to shop a book on SP. Is that still true? Any rumors floating around on that?

Gryph: couldn't you post EVERYTHING you know by making it into a fiction piece, labelled it as such? Even speculating a little re things you think are true but don't yet know for sure. All fiction, of course. I am thinking that would elicit small bits of info from others who actually have a small shred of proof, but not enough to take a risk for. That such a piece would move things along. Like stone soup, with you providing the ketttle and the water -- and the stone.

Of course, you already are. And I thank you for that. Truly. I would just like to have SP over, ASAP, so we can all move on without her disruptive presence.

I'd be happy to have you rewrite MY fictional piece, but I do trust you to do the right thing.

Thanks Gryphen, I support you 150%. I totally agree with not going to those other guys blogs. What for. They both are so full of crap it is unreal. What a way to spend your days. It is kind of sad actually. Also someone wrote a great thing on another blog and that is how stupid they are being (the Palin thugs, Palin and Van Wiesel). They just bring greater attention to babygate which is not too bright, is it?

When I read Sarah's wild ride (IN HER WORDS) I could not believe any person would do such a stupid thing. That is why I believe Trig is not hers. I would like to hear those jerks defend her story. No woman pregnant with a high risk infant with leaking amniotic fluid would get on a plane for hours. If she did that, it was unbelievable irresponsible. I don't know another word to use. I mean for someone who preaches life? I'd like those jerks to defend her story, but I am sure they won't, because they can't.

I am kind of starting to feel sorry for the people who have given money and believe in Sarah. She has scammed them and continues to! Is she still taking money from people?

Anyhow, keep up with the good work. There are a lot of really sick minds on the far right. They are insane and they hate our government. They need to be exposed.

  9. Sounds good Gryphen - I'm glad the VanFlea issue was just cheap lawyer Palin bullying but then, it couldn't be anything else. When you stood by your post, it said a lot about your information.

I'm running a new MACBook and have a feature on Firefox called "private browsing" which is nice. I CAN (if I chose and I DO NOT) hit the vomiting viral sites without tracking so their traffic does not see me. However since it is a monstrous waste of time and energy, I leave it too others to keep track of the braindead.

I must admit, following someone blindly off of a cliff that hasn't been seen or heard of for almost a month seems a bit stupid don't you think? Especially when it is obvious she isn't writing her own stuff.

The C4P's must be getting nervous. The Wicked Witch may have been hit by that house after all. (Poor House)

Keep at it. I love your posts and I love, even more (also too) the gossip. I am not interested in her politics or her "career" or anything serious about the woman. I DO have an enquiring mind, though, and do want to learn about the divorce and her faked pregnancy and her sorted and sordid family affairs. So keep 'em coming as soon as you can confirm stuff. I check you first every day!

  11. Stay faithful, my friend. I am thrilled that you have new readers, and that your place of work is happy with who and what you are... when you're not at work.

That photo of Rachel and Shannyn is a keeper--I'm keeping it where I can look at it when I need a shot of happy!

Take your time Gryphen... we will wait for the truth to come out.

I would like to see you open a website... SarahsHouse dot com. Dedicated to finding out who built and paid for her house.

Collect donations, hire investigators to track down the real builders of the house, find out who paid them and find out how materials were bought and paid for.

Break the housegate story and Sarah will be done for good.... and maybe do jail time as a bonus.

  14. That's a very nice picture of Rachel Maddow and Shannyn Moore. If I ever met Rachel in person, I'd probably be as tongue-tied as AKM said she was in her post.

Maybe I should write some general-purpose-meeting-a-celebrity mumble-mumble down on an index card and carry it around with me....

  15. You're wise, Gryphen. Much as I'd love to hear your gossip, a blog is a public forum. While it often feels like we're just a bunch of friends gathered around for a friendly visit, their are beasties also lurking here.

    And I love Shannyn's quip!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Gryphen, I'd like to thank you for the efforts you've put into this blog. And I hope all the other Alaskan bloggers will read, and take a bow, too. When Sarah Palin first appeared in the news last summer, I recognized the insanity. It's an echo of something dark that ruled my childhood. I became addicted to any kind of report that would let me hope that she would NOT be elected V.P. From Audrey's elegant blog, I found many others, including the delightfully named Immoral Minority. Thank you, to all of you.
And now it really does look as if that poor, twisted woman has shot herself in all ten feet, and we can soon stop listening for her scratch at the door. But the Alaska blogs have given me something besides a comforter against childhood nightmares. I didn't know that Alaska is so beautiful, and so terrible. I didn't know that Alaskan First Nations are still hanging onto their culture. The humor and verve that shows up at Mudflats and others is a treat. After Sarah Palin and her madness have left the public view, I'll still be reading the Alaska blogs. And still praying for a group of admirable people. Grammy

What a great picture! Two great ladies.

Thanks for all the info, Gryphen. I learn something every time I visit! You know, there is one picture that was on the State's website now being used to prove that fake pregnancy. Wonder why that's not enough proof?

Anyway, keep up the good work!!

This is OT and please forgive the shameless solicitation but...

    Hey guys,

    pant pant pant…

I got a shout out at a the DailyGeorge.com regarding a poetry submission.

It’s a poem I wrote when staying in a hotel during the winter, on the shores of lake Superior (like 100 yards away or so).

It’s a contest, and it takes votes. So iffen’ ya want could you at least check it out- and if you think it’s worth a vote- and better than the other nine options, send me one?

    Here is the link:

    http://thedailygeorge.com/poetryentries.html

The beginning of the poem is as follows:

    THE ROUGH STUFF
    By Frank Aprile

Water is casual as it drips – callous – and suggestive…
It can be rough, flat, but never indifferent…
    Salient it is…
    Expressionless, remorseless, relentless.

  22. in 2000 when the Supreme Court gave us GWBco, alot of us hunkered down to ride it out...of course, 9/11 changed many things, but I was so disgusted by the official response - let's go kill people too - and then the Iraq invasion...as a feminist progressive I was screaming I want my country back. And in 2004 I really thought we were going to elect Kerry...when he lost, I took my oil pastels and wrote on my front window, backwards, big enough to be read from the street, MLK's quote, "The arc of history is long, but it bends towards justice."...and look what happened....
    keep the faith Gryphen...

  24. I think I need to make a prediction here (and Gryphen you can hold me to it ok?) - I believe Sarah Palin will resurface and will make a HUGE splash when she does it - she will try to energize the Repukes and once again, she will have the same 8% support her.

She will be even more violent and provocative than before.

She will split the party - and will not be able to draw new support. But she will be back. Just think of her as recurrent malaria.

  25. CGinWI5:18 PM

I meant to add my favorite quote from the TPM article.

"It appears that this is probably not a matter of corruption. Rather, it may simply involve a level of negligence and ineptitude beyond the norm."

Why does the phrase "negligence and ineptitude beyond the norm" not surprise me?

The simplest point about the wild ride is...
Sarah loves Sarah more than anyone or anything else. She never would risk hurting Sarah by giving birth enroute. Had she really been pregnant and in labor, she would have been in the nearest hospital screaming for an epidural.

Snarky Anon @ 3:41 "wonder if they slept together after the show"

I doubt it. I don't know much about Shannyn, but Rachel is in a committed relationship. Since her qualities of honesty, dignity, class, and integrity coming shining through on the screen, I'd bet my pinky finger that fidelity can be counted as well.

Or were you, perhaps, inferring that ...... nah, that would just be too narrow minded, and I'm sure you didn't mean THAT!

Have you ever considered therapy for these obsessions into other people's private lives?
