I have to imagine that this is not what FOX had in mind when it imagined how their fake protest would be covered by the media. But you know what they say, "be careful what you wish for, for you will surely get it."

This is a fantastic piece. So Dick Armey's meme went from "Hillarycare" to "Obamacare." And no one but Bill Moyers will call them out on it?
ReplyDeleteArmey is sueing to separate his Medicare & SS for his own personal benefit (so he can keep his SS now that he's so rich), and no one but Bill Moyers will cover it?
Armey, as head of Freedom Works, partners with Glenn Beck for phony protests which gathers seniors to protest against what Armey has and wants to keep for himself (gov't-sponsored health care) and only Bill Moyers will provide the details? Bill Moyers deserves a Pulitzer.
Is this all the major news stations have to report on now days? Each other? And all lies and accusations?

Go Bill Moyers! Moyers is one of the few on air TV news media personalities that has consistently been willing to question authority, even during the Bush years when most of Moyers' colleagues were obsequious sycophants.
ReplyDeleteAs for Dick Armey and his Army of Dicks, I go way back with him. He was my congressman and he taught at the University of North Texas, where I did my graduate work. The general consensus of his fellow faculty members was that he was a moron. This guy has a Ph.D. in economics and he couldn't balance his own checkbook, if you remember the House check kiting scandal. He was a lying buffoon when he was in congress and he's a lying buffoon now. We affectionately referred to him as "our Dick in congress." Now, he's just a dick.
He is bought and paid for by the insurance and pharma lobbies and gleefully does their bidding.
