That the health-care debate in this country has crossed the line far too many times goes without saying. But what Republican congressman Joe Wilson of South Carolina did tonight was shameful and disgusting. He should resign immediately. If he doesn't resign immediately, he should be recalled by his constituents. He has disgraced them and the entire State of South Carolina by his actions.
Well I certainly cannot disagree with that sentiment.

OT - huffington post had some info about the ebay auction for the dinner with Sarah the Quitter - she gets to decide where and for how long (so even if she showed up she only has to stay a minute), and she gets to bring 3 people along.
ReplyDeleteSo not only does the winner get to shell out thousands of dollars, but they have to pay for the flight to Alaska, and I wonder who has to pick up the tab for dinner (probably the winner - and Sarah the Quitter would probably pick the most expensive place to eat, stop in for a minute and ask for a doggie bag).
The winner only gets to bring 1 item with them - I guess that means no more then 1 autograph.
Also all bidders but be approved and the winner has to be approved too - I'm not not many people would be saintly enough to qualify to dine with Sarah the quitter.

Right after Levi's VF story was released, I read an article that I can't find again to save my soul. It stated that a number of bloggers were working on uncovering and revealing info that would tell the truth about Sarah. It said that one blogger was so disturbed by certain info found that he/she shut down their blog.

I'm not sure if this is the reason why Audrey has been quiet on Palin Deceptions, but I do know that Audrey was attacked by a blogger/conservative columnist named Robert Stacey McCain on his blog on Aug 25. I won't link to his blog/specific post about her, but go to Google and I'm sure you can find it easily. Basically, the guy said that he had some "inside" info on her and he emailed her to say that if she posted anything else on her blog he would reveal said info. I don't believe he has anything that would discredit her (he said he didn't immediately disseminate his info on her because "her husband likes Ron Paul"). He's just another one of Palin's hawks.

I think someone (Geoffrey Dunn) should do a story about Sarah Palin's comments about Medicare. Palin has NO IDEA what she is talking about. What she wants to do is get rid of Medicare in its current form and make it all private. Right now the way it is, you get a choice of Federal Medicare or you can pick a private HMO or PPO. There is no need for a voucher-we have that choice now. The Republicans want to get rid of the Federal Medicare which is much better by the way and have it all be privatized. This is a TERRIBLE IDEA..Actually it makes more sense money wise to get rid of the Medicare HMOs - called Medicare Advantage Plans - they cost much more to administer and they aren't as good even though they advertise that they are. I know every state is different but where I live, not a single doctor of mine is on a medicare advantage plan - they are all unknown unpopular doctors. With Federal medicare you can go to any doctor in the country or any medical center if they take Medicare. This is a huge advantage if you have an unusual or complicated illness.
I hope Geoffrey does do a story about this. Everyone ignores the fact that Medicare is not just for old people. There are MILLIONS of younger people in our country on Medicare because of disability. If they are forced into a private plan, they will never get well - the HMOs limit everything....
Sarah Palin is LYING when she says she does not want to get rid of Medicare. She wants to get rid of Medicare in its current form and give VOUCHERS for people to buy private insurance. Sorry Sarah but the millions on Medicare will not stand for this. There are many other ways to improve Medicare. Some people can pay higher premiums as an example. Why should a very wealthy American pay the same Medicare premium as someone who is at poverty level?
I hate Sarah Palin. I can't stand reading those snarky negative posts. I do believe she has more input now but she is not writing them. She must have gotten out of rehab or the mental ward..
I am going to write all news media and ask them to not publish Sarah's articles until their is proof she is writing them - if she cannot discuss these issues live, then there is no proof.
