Hot Sarah Palin rumor of the day.

Okay I was not going to post this but then I noticed that Alaska Report had already broached the subject so...what the hell.

When Sarah first pulled her Houdini there was a lot of joking about why she might be in hiding and what she might be doing there.

Everything from "She is learning how to turn those letters on Wheel of Fortune, because Vanna White has suddenly developed dyslexia", to "She is being trained to read off of a cue card, without inserting her own made up words, in order to host her own prime time FOX show called Are you crazier than Sarah Palin?", to "She has been getting cosmetic surgery to have a useless blemish removed called Todd Palin."

Now these were obviously not exactly serious considerations (Though that second one has the ring of truth to it), but as time has gone on, and on, and on. The one that keeps rising to the top is the question of whether Sarah is getting some "work" done.

Now this would not be the most unusual thing for a public figure, including a politician, to do. I mean either Nancy Pelosi has had some work done or she is the most easily surprised woman I have ever seen.

And who can forget Joe Biden's horrible hair plugs?

(See? I can be non-partisan sometimes.)

So is Sarah getting something tucked, implanted, or permanently tattooed on her face? I have no idea.

But what I do know is that this is the longest Sarah Palin has been out of the public eye since the soothing radiance of a flash bulb first bathed her face. "Oh daddy that made me feel special please take my picture again!"

She has stood up Republican bigwigs, anti-abortion advocates, and just about everybody who ever supported her. Oh sure her ghostwriter occasionally posts an anti-Obama diatribe on her Facebook page or the Wall Street Journal, but other than that...no hide nor hair of her has been spotted since that suspicious story out of San Diego back in August. But that thing had more holes in it than her version of Trig's birth.

So what could be keeping Sarah from rushing back to the spotlight and the adulation of her bat guano (thanks Shannyn) fans? Could it be this?

After the surgery, the surgeon is going to put bandages to prevent swelling. The bandages are worn for several days. After they are removed, you will need to follow other instructions from the surgeon if the swelling does not go away. While it may seem that plastic surgery is no different than a visit to a spa, the reality is that you may not be able to go in public for days/weeks. Many people find it awkward to go to work with bandages particularly if they are in an area visible to everyone. That means that you may either need to take time off or work from home, if that is an option.

All I know is there are reporters all over the country who have telephoto lenses ready to zoom in to record any tell tale signs of "improvement" on Palin's face. If she has tried to improve on God's work we will definitely know it.

So what do you think she might have had done?

A) Tummy Tuck: "Gotta compete with that Carrie Prejean bitch."
B) Ass lift: "Make sure it is high and tight for my many admirers to kiss."
C) Botox: "Smiling like a ninny through that whole stupid campaign has created a lot of wear and tear and my beautiful face."
D) Breast enhancement: "These ought to help open a few Republican donor wallets!"
E) All of the above: "Why go in for a simple oil change when you get a whole new chassis?"

Yeah I know that this post may seem a little mean spirited, but hey at least I know she was the Governor of Alaska unlike a certain ex-Republican President: "I'm trying to remember if I've met her before. What is she, the governor of Guam?"

Ouch! Now THAT hurts.

That would not have stopped her from being on twitter like she was just before she left.

Having worked at a plastic surgeon's office, I can say with some knowledge that facelifts take 6-8 weeks MINIMUM recovery time.

she won't look like Nancy Pelosi, though; Nancy got her's years ago, so she has the old school face lift with the wind tunnel look.

Now days they do the lift and inject with patient's own fat to round the features back out.

The fat can take a long time to settle as well.

I'm beginning to wonder if the surgery was botched somehow. Risks of facelift can be facial nerve paralysis, eyelid drooping, one side of the face drooping, smile asymmetry, etc.

I've never seen a Pitbull get plastic surgery, so I can't say how they usually recover, but I will say that my one fear is that somehow her inner self came out during surgery. Which would mean that Sarah Palin is now hideously ugly..so ugly and deformed that she can't show her face in public without being confused for being the devil.

But that's just a silly fear. We'll see how the pitbull pulled when she rears her head to spew her next lie.

  5. What is sad is that SP did not need plastic surgery - the INSIDE is what needed work.
I think plastic surgery can be a dangerous thing to do (the anestesia alone can be traumatic to some). If Murdock is behind this, no surprise - look what they did to Greta on FOX. If this happened, it is disrespectful to Sarah - not pitying her though - she sold herself to the devil.

If it was surgery, she still could twitter, and do phone interviews with her favorite conservative radio host in Alaska. Unless the surgeon was a Democrat.

I am inclined to think of places that put the person out of all forms of contact, period. No blackberry, no cell phone, no TV, no nothing with the goal to - let's just say - give the old system a good cleaning, get rid of stuff that could make your hair fall out, make you nervous and skinny. Just a guess.

Remember, GWB just shot her a good one, and she hasn't responded. Now, is that like our Sarah?

She could still be on Murdoch's yacht.

Bangkok would be a logical place to look, it's on the way to Australia.

It's also the gender re-assignment capitol of the world.

Gender re-assignment takes a bit longer to recover from so she might be out of the public eye for quite some time.

While we would like to see Sarah crash & burn, I believe her absence can easily be explained. She is being groomed by Murdock who has gained her trust and he explained to her that her first step must be the professional and speaking finishing class that she skipped while bouncing around colleges and eloping with Todd. She is receiving an intensive professional makeover with Murdock's handlers who will remain with her. Murdock's organization will continue to be her handlers into her speaker's tour future as well as her 2012 run at the presidency. Powerful people don't actually want to be president, but they want the perks that go with the power. Sarah is being prepped to handle the national stage, but she'll be the puppet on that stage. Others will be controlling the strings. She's an easily manipulated puppet. One doesn't need the entire nation watching to make a boatload of money. With only the support of the 25% who make up the extreme right wing, there's a boatload of money to be made. And, that 25% is so passionate they make eyes light up like dollar signs.

  32. Slightly OT -- but since it still concerns Sarah Palin, not too much OT -- Geoffrey Dunn has written an absolutely SCATHING indictment of Palin's -- and now Parnell's -- Alaska Personnel Board, over at HuffPo. He actually posted it Sept. 12th, so I might be mentioning something most of you already have read... :)

Wow, Andree McLeod sure landed an articulate defender in her corner. Dunn was as appalled as the rest of us when he read of the confrontation recently between McLeod and the Board members.

  34. I don't think she's getting a facelift or any other plastic surgery. I have no idea what she IS doing. The only thing that the rational side of me knows is that there is NO way in the world that this woman will run for POTUS. The scrutiny that she would come under would make what she couldn't deal with in AK look like a walk in the park. I'm sure we've not seen the last of her, but I don't think we need to worry about her running for national office. Not that the thought of that doesn't make me want to vomit.

    ReplyDelete
  35. whereever she is , and I tend to agree with Dobermen(that neck was pretty waddly) It's too bad that she has abandoned a special needs child to "do her own thing". She says he is her baby but she is not acting like any good mother I know. Is she in a longer term rehab program?? She's been away from the cameras for a long time and her followers have short attention spans. At her "I'm quitting" speech she certainly acted like someone with a "habit".

  36. SoCalWolfGal8:32 AM

She could have had some sort of plastic surgery. We all know the size of her ego, and she may have felt the need to be "more perfect". I think Murdoch has her on a strict program of how to act on the international stage. Who else could have kept her and Meg the Mouth from reacting to Levi, all the jokes that have been floating around? None other than the man who is going to make her incredibly rich, who will have as many servants to wait on her and anticipate her every whim, AND have people that write her scripts for the many public appearances he can buy for her. He also has the power to protect her from all those trick questions she couldn't handle. She thinks she is going to finally live the fairytale life she deserves. She's not very intelligent, so maybe that will be enough for her. Only time will tell.

I don't know... I read the article/bio on the above mentioned speakers site, and almost barfed a couple of times.

Then I thought about the fact that if she had plastic surgery, she definitely would still be able to twit/call-in, etc.

So, I have come to the conclusion that she is in seclusion on one of Murdochs yachts or wherever, undergoing very rigorous indoctrination/brainwashing.
To do that, she will have to be completely cut off from any type of media - including phone, computer, radio, newspapers etc. They probably first try to break her spirit ala Chinese/Korean style, and then build her up again - in the image *they* want her to be. Obedient puppy. If she tries to raise her 'mavericky' head, it will be squashed again, and the procedure of brainwashing will start all over again.

I guess they are shooting for her to be ready on the 23rd in Hong Kong, but just to make sure, they have banned the Media for her debut. (They didn't count with the ingenuity of the Chinese to use nowadays' technology, where you can have a camera or microphone inside a working pen etc)

  38. Oh really Gryphen, stop the wishful thinking. Palin is laying low in order to give the blogs that are bashing at her some time to cool off a little. She's taking the advice of her handlers of course who said she had to lay low for a while. That's also the reason why everybody is being threatened with a lawsuit if they keep on about Palin. She wants to come out in a year or so as a new Sarah without the babygate baggage and the rest of the destroying history she's made for herself.

Not to mention that everybody who is threatened is rolling over like a bunch of dead fish! What a bunch of losers the left are in America. Most don't even have the courage to call themselves the left and most are religious nutcases just like the righties. Like I said Gryphen, Americans are not ready for good affordable healthcare for everyone and they're not ready for any change that will take some social responsibility on their part. More likely, they empower dopes like Palin by submitting to her idiot threats.

Dog knows Gryphen, I keep trying to help but nobody wants to listen! Don't blame me when she reappears and runs for VP or even worse, the top job. Duhhhhhh!

She wouldn't need any time off for botox, and it's clear she's been getting botox and fillers for a while now. Her forehead barely moves.

Her lips are fuller and her cheeks have definitely had filler, if not implants.

What's so funny is that she goes on about the "hollywood starlets" and the copies them in everything she does- her plastic face and chicklet teeth not the least of it.

if she's taking time off (what is it, 6 weeks now?) she's had major surgery. Surgery sometimes leads to mental problems for those disposed to it. NOt sure if it's going under or the major changes in the face, but it can be disturbing for some.

Baby Jane Palin is probably holed up in a mental institution somewhere, screeching about how everyone is out to get her.

I think you people have got to come to some sort of concensus. At least that would suggest there's a plurality of thinking with respect to the Dr. Richard Kimball act Palin seemingly is playing.

There's strength in numbers so find a theory, however wild-assed it could be, and run with it.

The cosmetic surgery business is really a non-issue. Most human beings find something about their physical appearance they would change if the procedure was affordable and the post-op pain and/or
    temporary disfigurement minimal.

Rehab? Now that would stick and let's face it: it's far more repugnant and therefore newsworthy to suggest someone is in hiding to prevent the discovery of runaway alcoholism or drug use than it is to make a tepid accusation of vanity.

Involuntary admission to a psychiatric facility: THIS would be the motherload, wouldn't it? It would tie everything up in put a nice little bow on it.

Just think of the blowback! Possible twelve-step admissions by Palin that yes, the pregnancy was faked. So, too, was the reason behind the
creation of SarahPac (she needed the money to pay off bookies on losses she incurred betting on the Iditarod.

And imagine this: to have any chance at recovery she has to admit that
Levi's spin on the tell-all circuit was because he was angry that she broke off an affair with him.

I think you can see where you have to stop throwing shit up against a wall and hoping enough of it sticks. Follow the example of the 9-11
conspirator-buffs and stick with a single theory about Palin's depravity.

There are so many possibilities but a multiplicity of speculation dilutes the force of any one theory.

    Was Oswald a scapegoat?
    A soviet agent?
    A Cuban hitman?
A fall guy for Sam Giancana.
A button-man in the employ of French assassin Jean Soutre?

Any one of these can be fertile ground to keep the mystery
percolating but when you bounce from one to the other, you
(or any other emotionally stable group) will seem a touch, and I'm sorry to have to say it, comically paranoid.

So, please: gather your forces. Advance a single unified theory and your efforts are far more likely to harvest that for which you hunger: complete and utter destruction of Palin's attraction to certain fringe groups and the infliction of a devastating psychological wound on her from which she will likely never recover.

Despite, Gibson, Couric, 385 ethics complaints (and another 600 on the way); despite resigning from office with a stream-of-consciousness farewell speech, the woman still has a humongous New York book deal Anyone who knows a thing about about publishing (Was it Harper Collins she signed with?) must see the tag-team of HC and Zondervan is a masterstroke of collaboration that will ensure Palin's beaming face is seen in every Barnes and Noble as well as the NYT Non-fiction best seller list for months after publication.

The "eye-only" speech delivered away from the cameras of the media is another masterstroke insofar as it is guaranteed to keep bloggers like the intrepid host of this blog on a feverish mission to discover the contents of the speech and how it went.

(I've been discreet in not mentioning her drive-by's on the health bill,
the A.P. photo controversy and one or two other whack-a-mole appearances.)

This is fun for those of you who want her set adrift on a raft in the Bering Sea?

I don't think so. It's like sleeping on the banks of the Mississippi without a mosquito net.

Anybody who has played a sport knows it's not fun when you can't put away your opponent and they keep clawing back every time you think
    you've put them away.

I'm sure it's occurred to many of you that Palin's trip to China is occurring at a time when Obama is about as popular in China as Falun Gong? The 35% tariff on Chinese tires has brought the countries leaders
to a boil which will no-doubt give China the impetus to place its own
restrictions on U.S. exports such as auto parts and chicken. The result:

    From China Daily:

"Since many American tire makers produce inexpensive tires in China and higher quality ones at home, efforts to protect US tire producers will lead to a chain of events, including unemployment and price rise in that country. Medium- and low-income consumers stop changing their car tires because of high prices, it could cause more traffic accidents and fatalities. An estimated 100,000 Chinese workers will be affected, too, because the tire industry back home will suffer a loss of up to $1 billion."

    What an opening for Palin.

Being the loose cannon she is, she now has an opportunity to sound like a historian, economist and statesman by memorizing one simple paragraph after opening with a line about America and China's security being bound to each other:

    THE PARAGRAPH:

In 1930, the federal government in an effort to alleviate the effects of the Great Depression, passed The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act which, raised tariffs, in an effort to collect more revenue for the federal gov’t. Did it work? It did not work, and the US sank deeper into the Great Depression. Over 7 days right before and after the Smoot-Hawley act was passed in mid June 1930, the DJIA fell 15% but got most of the decline back by late July before falling more than 30% into year end. Let’s hope the just announced tire tariff on China and their possible response is just a one off spat but global stocks are down as a result."

    Is this fun, really?

If she runs again, it will be interesting to see if the plastic surgery shows up on her medical records. The silence is increasing her price for speeches, autographs and pictures. Sarah is learning people won't pay for stuff she has been giving away free for years. This is a marketing ploy. This is about the selling of Sarah!

You may be onto something there. Just when Sarah was flummoxed as to what in heaven's name she would discuss, Obama delivers her the perfect Toastmaster's solution:

DEATH PANEL II - CHINESE TIRE TARIFF TO RESULT IN OBAMA ORCHESTRATED DEATH OF 1 MILLION AMERICANS (complete with Emanuelized graphs targeting Tea Bagger tire demographics. . .).

SARAH'S TIRES. You heard it here first (compliments of the above poster). Chinese tires will become her Nixon-Republican-Cloth-Coat and she will ride an over-inflated set right back onto the national stage.

But onto something far more important. What will Sarah wear (apart from cunning little tire earrings)? Perhaps a stunning number from China's Ellassay fashion house which Fred Malek's Carlyle Group just invested $20 mil in last spring?

    Follow the clothes. . .

Here's what I do, and I recommend it to others: I go into bookstores (in airports, in malls) and turn the covers of rightwing books around so no one can find them. I was very effective yesterday with Beck's book and Malkin's book.

I did it throughout the 2008 campaign with Kaylene Johnson's book on Palin.

Join me! We can do it en masse with Lynn Vincent's book on Palin. I cannot wait!

    Maria's post was hella funny :) :)
    A idiot kissass!
I'm gonna tell and you'll be in trouble!
Where have we heard that? in 1st grade?
    lololol!
Hey Maria, Sarah aka "the Quitter from Wasilla" had plastic surgery, now, screen shot for vanflea.
These bots are just so stupid...pitiful.

I'm still waiting for Obama to release his college transcripts. What the hell could be in them that is "Eyes Only"?

Seriously, you have so much substantive things to drop Palin with why would you think anyone would care about a little nip or tuck?

That can't be the best YOU have--or is it?

NO President or Presidential Contender EVER releases their college records or is required to. Palin hasn't done it either. So what's the point?

Are you suggesting that Palin should?

Sure, let's see Palin's college records. Could she possibly be dumber in college than she is in vivo.

I had to allow my transcripts to be reviewed as part of an investigation for Air Force Pilot Training.

He's the Commander in Chief and he get's a pass while a candidate for a seat on the Supreme Court is probed just this side of a colonoscopy.

George Bush's evaluations as a pilot in the Guard were made public.
Why can't we see how President Obama did in Civ. Pro. at Harvard?

Is my watch slow? In eight or nine months she'll have a best selling biography which I'm sure you folks will discuss ad nauseam. This is the longest five minutes of fame in Western Civilization.

Think about this: JFK had Ted Sorenson do all the heavy lifting for "Profiles in Courage" which brought the ill-fated senator a Pulitzer. At a time when Al Gore, the Tony Robbins of Climatology, can win the Nobel Prize it is entirely plausible that Murdoch, the world of publishing's Mephistopheles, could hook a young comer, promise him more money than Moses, to ghost the book, and land Palin the same kind of bogus
international bouquet that Gore reeled in.

Gryphen, it is Thursday the 17th.

I just noted that Pajamas Media has instituted a PalinWatch column on their front page...hmmm...wonder what they know/think is coming in the next week or so.

The blogs discussing the Glen Beck Time magazine cover story are making interesting points about the polarization happening; the people are not served by this. I see this blog as an opportunity to help us all work together for clarity, humanity, dare I say peace?

It cannot always be easy for you to keep this site going; I thank you for your efforts.

Hang in there; keep calm n focused. New moon tomorrow, time of darkness and possibility.

    Blessings on the Work.

    Gryphen,

    Aurora here, again.

I may have missed it if you posted this before; even if, it would bear another looksee.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/frank-schaeffer/glenn-beck-and-the-912-ma_b_284387.html

Frank Schaeffer's life story and courage are inspiring and painful to witness. Yet, if he can do it, how can we refuse the call to speak truth to power?

    Best.
