Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, has finished her memoir just four months after the book deal was announced, and the release date has been moved up from the spring to Nov. 17, her publisher said
Does anybody else find it extremely coincidental that Sarah's book gets moved up the day after Bree Palin's earth shattering post?
I was told a long time ago that Sarah reads the blogs. Especially the Alaskan blogs and Palin's Deceptions. I would not at all be surprised to learn that she has expanded her reading list and made this decision in response to this new damaging information.
So now the question is can we reveal the lies that are undoubtedly in her book and make it impossible for her publishers to put it out there?
My money is on the bloggers. What do you think?
Go bloggers! This "book" must already be headed to galleys. No doubt that you all can break the truth so that the book is outdated by the time it is released. This is a very bad business sign--shocking.

The title is at heart an oxymoron. Oh, my.
And it is reported to be 400 pages! holy moly...
Sounds to me like HarperCollins has realized that the value of the project declines with the passage of time--as in, who knows if there will be anyone left who wants to buy the book in the spring.

ReplyDeleteSarah needs her Facebook friends to buy the book for Christmas...you know the holiday where Jesus was born so we can put her book under the Christmas tree. If she had waited, and published it in the Spring, there is no Easter tree to put it under and she would make fewer millions of dollars. Because that's how you fight hard for Alaska without the title of Governor.

She will need to go under the television lights to promote it to a wider audience. I say that would be more laughing stalk time. What a great opportunity to ask questions and present the pictures.

It looks like Bree Palin's blog was deleted. This can happen when enough people flag a blog as "bad" by the way. It puts every blog hosted at Blogger in jeopardy and Google will often pull blogs for very little reason. I hope you're self-hosting, Gryphen? If not, please let us know where to find you in case you are forced offline. I've had tiny little non controversial blogs deleted by Blogger and Wordpress over the years for absolutely no reason. So no wonder a truly controversial blog like Bree Palin is ruffling a few feathers - especially this particular week! Think Murdoch doesn't have the Google CEO's home phone number? Think again.

Well for goodness sake, how long CAN it take her to write a book? I mean, she's not accomplished a great deal in her life. I'm not surprised the book is being released in November; it was probably thrown together and will be tossed out there. Her "public" will buy it - but probably not read it - and right-wing organisations will buy boatloads of it to push it up on the best seller lists. And in a year, it'll be in remainder bins...

If she hastily writes a chapter of I was too pregnant, it will be obvious. Those that believe her will believe her no matter what. Nothing she says is going to convince those that see the video and other evidence and buy the facts. She won't talk them out of what they can see with their own eyes. In fact, they'll doubt her all the more.
ReplyDeleteSo she moves the date up. It won't do her any good. There's still 6 weeks until it's released. By then, she can say anything she wants. She can't put the genie back in the bottle.
However, the November date does make it perfect for Christmas sales. Palin is all about the money.
I have to wonder if Sarah is going to spill the beans herself in her book. She has to know its only a matter of time before the story comes out anyway. If not from the bloggers, or MSM, there is still the threat of Levi hanging over her head. She (or Murdock) may have decided to just get it out there. That way she gets to put her own spin on what a sacrifice she made and what a wonderful mom she is. She also gets to trump Levi in the book sales. Just how many will buy Levi's book if Sarah has already told the story? Everyone will buy Sarah's just from the sensationalism in the news. She makes a fortune, deprives Levi of a fortune, and Murdock gets his investment back and can walk away from her.

ReplyDeleteAnother reason to rush the writing of the book (although the reasons listed already are way better): Advances are often paid to the author in chunks: 1/3 at signing of the contract; 1/3 upon the author's delivery of the completed manuscript; and 1/3 upon publication. Or it could be in some other number of installments, wth different milestones. If I were SP. I'd sure want to get my money ASAP, esp as things seem to be starting to fall apart.

ReplyDeleteI worked for many years as an author-editor for a "major" publisher--in my case an academic reference outfit, but I think all publishers operate on the same basic premise. One-third of the advance is paid upon signing the contract; 1/3 comes in increments as the manuscript is produced; and the final 1/3 is paid upon delivery of the approved manuscript to the printer.
The crucial part is the second phase. With a decent publisher, producing an approved manuscript can be harrowing: copyeditor queries, fact-checker corrections, and line-editing changes can take an enormous amount of time and effort. Often the publication date is delayed.
Sarah Palin (Lynn Vincent) has her work cut out for her, especially with a 400-page book (jeez, I can't even comprehend researching and writing that amount of material in just four months!!). But she doesn't have time for such fine points, and HarperCollins (i.e., its Christian imprint) at this point isn't concerned about publishing a good book. Not in the next six weeks.... No, Palin needs the money, and Murdoch wants to be shed of her.
I'm convinced the main factor in pushing up the pub date has to be that babygate and other gates--known and known--are looming. Excellent work, Alaska bloggers.

There is no way palin will admit the fake pregnancy in her book, no way-no how. She is too narcissitic and mentally I'll to even contemplate it in fact, often when you are I'll, the more you lie the more you believe it. She probably has a hard time distinguishing fact from reality anymore . But a part of her is in panic mode, probably, paranoid that 'they're after me' so wants as much cash as possible. Watching her implode is better than any present. UsuAlly I have pity for sick people, but her illness stems from yeas of immature behavior that was never called to task and she is rotting from the inside out.

I think the Publisher realizes they only have a brief window to get this book published. Palin will manage to only embarrass herself further and any MORE revelations comin' down the road (Bree Palin, Levi's book) will simply make her more of a laughingstock than she already is.

As a published author, this is how my payouts work, 1/3 on signing of book deal, 1/3 on acceptance of edited manuscript and 1/3 on pub. date.
ReplyDeleteI can easily believe that she has finished the book so quickly. I can imagine that quite a bit of the her material was dictated by SP before being transcribed by her co-author.
Regarding the Levi's role in all of this Babygate adventure. I wonder if he really has anything at all that could damage SP. He didn't or couldn't save his mother, whose sentencing is coming in January. Rex Butler may be much smarter and tougher than Levi and SP, but he doesn't have the political muscle behind him that SP has behind her.
I would like nothing better than to see SP crash in the open forum and but I just do not think that Levi Johnston is the one who is going to put the tree in her face. His world is too small to see the big picture.
She wants the money NOW, because later she will not be able to get it - she will be rotting in jail...

ReplyDeleteIt will take some time but the SS Palin will sink. Has anyone heard about the Hansen affair re-emerging? Also her friend in telecommunications? Babygates is growing legs and not over, along with a few more troublesome problems for her.
Timing is important, too bad for Levi. He can get a mud wrestling stint if he is lucky. Nudies and the like is his level. No he doesn't get the scope of things. He will have plenty of time to hunt and contemplate.
The book scam will follow the same pattern as those before her. Except she will not be able to do anything more than a well orchestrated Fox type closed and scripted attempt at an interview. The Repubs are happy to sell her in that way. They see the people of the US as very dumb.
Face it guys, there is no physical proof that Palin is not Trigs mother. No one can prove it and no one believes the pictures or the videos, its not enough. Levi is never going to come forward, he would look awful to the public if he did and no one has the balls to out her, even Gryphen will not divulge all that he knows. So unless Palin admits it herself this is going nowhere and Palin knows it.
