Sarah Palin to make appearance on Oprah in November.

Harpo announced the booking today, adding that Winfrey and Palin will meet for the very first time on the episode.

Palin has been courted by numerous talk shows. Other than news-channel interviews and a cameo on "Saturday Night Live," she hasn't made it to Leno, Letterman, etc.

Of course, there's really one reason Palin chose Oprah: She's got a book to sell. And Oprah can move tanker-loads of books. Palin will be hawking her upcoming memoir,Going Rogue: An American Life.

I am beyond nauseous that Oprah would provide a venue for this woman to promote her book of lies and half-truths.

We all know she did not write a word of it, and I have no idea how she will even be able to have an intelligent conversation about what is in it.

But Oprah is powerful enough to give Sarah the credibility that she simply cannot attain on her own, and that really bothers me.

Update: But what if Oprah decided to treat Palin like a real interview subject? Perhaps Oprah could get answers to questions that even Katie Couric never had the guts to ask Sarah about? Say for instance about a certain pregnancy?

Perhaps she just needs a nudge to inspire her to ask the questions that all of us would like the answers to. Perhaps receiving a few links to some of the relevant information from Palin's Deceptions, Palingates, Bree Palin, and this site might help Oprah come up with some truly fascinating questions. We could all provide that nudge by going here.

I am just saying.

Ergh. Oprah just went down a few notches in my book. Not quite sure I respect her as much now.

Unbelievable, is all I can say.

My friend, who actually TIVO's Oprah, will be devastated. I don't watch her show but I do respect her.

    Now? Not so much.

She is getting away with everything and no one calls her out on it. I don't understand it. The rest of us would never get away with a tenth of what she has done.

    Disheartening, to say the least.

PS...Oprah, we're through...I defended you after the Michigan Avenue closing, now we're THROUGH...

I gave up on Oprah several years ago, when she started getting more sensational, sleazy stories and whatnot...

Whatever "journalism" abilities she might have once possessed have long flown the coop...

I do however think that Oprahs audience is way more liberal than conservative, so she'd be preaching to the choir having Palin on, kinda like making fun of her in a backhanded way...

I doubt she will, but HOPE she will call Palin on the mat. We'll see...

I think it would be safe to say Palin feels safe going on Oprah... but wish she had the barracuda/pitbull guts to face John Stewart... he promotes ALOT of authors and their books and doesn't let anybody get away with anything... THAT would be the interview of the century.

Totally sef-serving for Oprah's ratings since Palin is the reason that threates against the President have risen 400%.

    She is also a racist.

I am very, very disappointed that as you say Gryphen, that Oprah would give this woman an ounce of credibility. Can we maybe hope Oprah will call her out on anything? I guess only time will tell. But in the meantime, it would not hurt to bombard Oprah with emails expressing extreme concern.

Oprah has been burned by a couple of authors in the past........maybe she will nail $P on all her lies..... I'm sure Oprah's research department will give her good questions to ask.

  9. One of the few times I caught Oprah's show recently, she was chatting "panel-style" with Gayle, and two other "celebs." It seemed to be an attempt to present her as one of us, just chatting with friends. My jaw dropped though, when she agreed that all couples share "couples-speak," and her and Steadman's went something like this..."Should we take your jet or mine?"
    Ugh!

I also am very disappointed in Oprah. Sarah Palin, who campaigned against President Obama in the manner she did and now Oprah is giving her a voice on her show? Amazing! I wonder how many questions Palin is going to 'allow' her to ask?

Oprah is no fool. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that she's supporting the ex-gov. In fact, it may be impossible to do the show since it seems the terms of all her appearences these days stipulate no cameras, no questions. Just saying :)

I'm not writing Oprah off just yet
I think she has that Katie Couric bend to her and see's through Palin
She definitely will not fawn all over her like Greta does

Oprah isnt a big Palin fan.. from all Ive gathered
She didnt want her on the show during the election.. said AFTER was fine but not during

She is a HUGE Obama and Michelle supporter.. and is smart enough to know Palin incites hate and racism

Yes Palin will get promotion but if it is a flop of an interview like the Katie one.. look how that followed her around and gave people a sick feeling in the gut and saw her as a crazy fool

A live national interview like this (heck isnt Oprah international?) may be just the right thing
Palin is so sneaky and invisible noone can call her on anything..
all her appearances are behind closed doors and without the Gov title.. is no longer held accountable..
She needs another Katie type interview to remind people what a nut case she really is

and Oprah's followers are also Obama/Michelle lovers.. Oprah isn't going to ditch her fan base by giving Palin a glowing interview
I give her a little credit... hope I am not proven wrong

Next Oprah will put up one of those Obama poster like from the Chimo Gun shop in Wasilla. The fans who love Palin because she is so much like them.

Send Oprah a poster, Chimo, she is ready to support your cause.

  19. I suppose I am the only one here who is THRILLED!
Palin is coming out of hiding - likely she HAS to, due to the contract she has with her publisher. YAAY I say! When Palin talks, word salad spews forth and her idiocy is revealed!
I never thought SP would have the guts to face anyone other than her rabid base. I wonder if she will throw up, like the balloon boy.
Again - I am thrilled. Let her speak and continue to show the world what a complete MORON she is.

well I just hope that oprah doesn't include the book in her book club. that would be worse than having palin on the show.

I think that oprah's audience wouldn't be interested in paying money for palin's book anyway. perhaps oprah already knows this.

How sad! Oprah is in the business to make money and she knows that having Palin on her show will be huge. As far as waiting for it and hoping to hear Oprah direct some hard questions at Palin, forget it. Everything will be prearranged as far as questions go in order to protect Palin until her time is right. Palin's handlers will make sure this is a safe trial balloon for her.

    Luv from Canada!

I thought the law was that only after Stapletongue and Van Flea have stated something is it going to happen. Then only if she shows up. Booking is the easy part. Will Palin henchmen announce it is official? Will she show?

It will be interesting to see if Palin shows up, and allows Oprah to ask the questions she wants and not questions Palin wants. I will believe $P will be on the show when I see her on it. She's played the game of saying yes, then no, then we never said we'd be there, way too many times. I have faith in Oprah to be honest, but face it, this is not Face the Nation. Start your letter campaigns to Oprah now, with all the questions you'd like answered. She may surprise us and actually ask the hard questions.

  29. I'm going to give Oprah the benefit of the doubt here. This will be an excellent opportunity for more Americans to see the former half term Alaska governor for what she is-in over her head and a fraud. Oprah's not stupid, she'll go into the interview prepared with some hard-hitting questions.

    ReplyDelete

I agree with anon at 11;13 - Give Oprah some credit for getting Palin to even agree to be on the show. Imagine the fallout when/if Palin backs out from this one. Besides everyone on these blogs have been wanting Palin to come out of hiding, I think this should be pretty good. Just because Palin is on her show doesn't mean Oprah will put her book on the list. I think Oprah knows exactly what she is doing. :)

    11:13 AM

It is not a secret how Oprah feels about the Obama's. Palin handlers would know. She is not going where she thinks there is a possibility of "gotcha moment."

I rarely watch Oprah. I can see her being hard hitting in some circumstances. How does she handle her book club guests? If she is just into promoting those guests then that is how it will be with Palin. Does she rip controversial book guests a new one? It didn't go south for Frye until he was caught in his lie.

Will Oprah actually read her book? What kind of research will she do? If she takes a good look at the Dr. Baldwin-Johnson letter that could be some interesting exchange. When her guests have dark questions lurking in their history will she confront it?

Was Blogo ever an Oprah guest?

What say Meg? Is it official or is it only Oprah that thinks it is official?

    ReplyDelete
  33. WalterNeff11:35 AM

Palin is an idiot to do this. Jon Stewart would actually be a friendlier venue and she would only have to keep her stories straight for 7 minutes. An hour with Oprah who tore James Frey a new asshole? This is must see tv.

  34. Anonymous11:39 AM

Please email Oprah at Harpo Productions and remind them that Palin is being sued for her failure to eclare Juneteenth a holiday, as well as letting Oprah know that there are likely many, many lies in the book (troopergate?!) and so if she's going to associate with it, she might want to do some major gact checking before she does that.

Palin is racist SCUM and she doesn't deserve to be on OPrah.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous11:40 AM

I am not a huge Oprah fan BUT I can't believe what I am seeing! Everyone here is ready to savage Oprah over this. Let's not jump to conclusions and behave like the other side! Perhaps Oprah just needs to be educated about the Palin lies. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't know a thing about this, with as little coverage as there is from the MSM. Don't condemn Oprah; she's a busy lady. I hope someone can get the info she needs to conduct a professional interview with Palin in time.

    ReplyDelete

I doubt this book will be on Oprah's book club which is reserved for books Oprah loves and ones she wants to share with her readers.

And, as is the case in all of Palin's supposed appearances, I'll believe it when I see it.

Oprah's staff will be shocked at the full inbox of babygate photos and links and many on the other babygate sites are going to man the message boards and discuss the lack of belly.

    this should be good!!
Not that she will say anything, but the staff will be warned that she may not be all that truthful. And the message board are a GREAT way to start the country talking and then one day, someone WILL confront her with photos.

    I can dream.

There is NO way that Oprah will fawn all over Palin, but there is also no way that she'll bring up babygate. No chance, nada. I don't even want Oprah to get into Babygate. Just let her ask Palin about everything else: 1) Why she quit 2) Why she said Pres. Obama was "pallin' around with terrorist" 3) Her future plans 4) Her OPINION ON THE ISSUES SHE POSTS ABOUT ON FACEBOOK. 5) Why she was against Juneteenth 6) Fill in your favorite Palin scandal issue here (Troopergate)?)

Oprah is a strong supporter of Obama and promoted him throughout the primaries(even though several years ago I remember her interviewing Hillary on the show and telling her she should run for president!). She even stood with the Obamas in support of the Chicago Olympics if you don't remember! I doubt she will let Sarah get away unscathed. She cannot have missed the 'palin' around with terrorists', death panels, racism et al. Sarah is in for a tough interview, I'm surprised she agreed. Don't scare Sarah away from Oprah by making a big deal of it! I think Oprah will tear her apart.

I live near Oprah. She hugs homeless strangers and her dogs have a house bigger than mine. One of the people that worked on the tile was very impressed.

Oprah has an excellent business sense. I don't know much about her show. Some generic version of Fox News would be sickening. I'm not convinced Palin will show. More anticipation drama can't hurt book sales.

  47. Can anyone name ONE instance when SP has sounded sane when she is NOT reading a script? ONE instance? I cannot think of any. This is going to be GOOD! I cannot think of better entertainment than letting Sarah BE Sarah.
NO WAY did Oprah miss the vile hatred and racism SP promoted at her rallies. Palin will not know what hit her.

    ReplyDelete

I am beginning to wonder if maybe Sarah is going to out herself on Oprah about babygate, to prevent anyone else from doing it first, make up a big sob story and of course to make book sales skyrocket. Maybe taking a leaf out of Mackenzie Phillips book...

  49. So the same Sarah that uttered hateful racist remarks like "Sambo beat the bitch" (re: Obama getting the Dem nomination over Hillary) and telling Gregory Charles Royal, a jazz musician that filed suit over the Juneteenth snub, that "she does't mess with black men".

Perhaps Palin only has a problem with black men and not black women? Or perhaps Sarah will just get into bed with anyone that can "progress" her wallet....

I hope that Oprah will at least call her out on her racist behavior.

If not, well Oprah is as big a sellout as Palin is.

    To Anon 11:13.

Trust me, Palin's book won't be in Oprah's book club. Palin will be appearing promoting her book, but based on books Oprah has on her Book Club reading list, this is not one of them.

And to people who now want to boycott or stop watching Oprah...she is a big reason Obama had gotten more of a name recognition before he ran for president. He was on her show as someone to be watched. An up-and-comer. In one of her interviews, she asked him if he'd ever run for president. This was right after he gave the address in 2004 to the Democratic Convention. He wasn't any where near people's radar as a consideration. Because of Oprah and Ted Kennedy, we now have Barack Obama.

She campaigned for him. She supported him...and it is no secret that her ratings fell for doing this. Palin supporters started boycotting the show. Go read their thoughts on the interview at C4P. I bet it's not pretty.

I look forward to the interview. Oprah can be tough and I believe will not let Palin skate.

hm. oprah is now friends with Michelle. I'm sure Michelle has her ear.

Considering what they know, and we probably don't know, I wouldn't be surprised if Palin got her head handed to her on the show. If nothing else for that Death Panel, kerkuffle.

  52. Ok folks ... let's give Oprah a chance here. Personally, I probably will not watch the show and just wait for Gryphen, and AKM, Shannyn to do their analyses and imbed any pertinent parts (sorry guys, but I have come to depend on you SO MUCH!). But, seriously, where else other than Fox could she peddle the book? So .. let's just see what Oprah does with this opportunity. We KNOW that she did not write the book and that unless there is some major surprise awaiting us, there will be many, many falsehoods in the book. Also, Oprah usually reads a book before she has the author on the show, so ... let's just wait and see what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Anonymous12:31 PM

If she shows up at all. I know that Oprah will have her book factchecked before the show. All she has to do is just question her on her own words. She will not be able to keep her lies in a row. she will be seen as the liar that she is. She will still say she was duped.

My guess is Palin thinks she can snowjob her way through this and promote herself at the same time. Remember, Palin actually believes she is brilliant and would have done more interviews had Mccain's folks not finally wised up.

My guess is Oprah will chew her up and spit her out and also have already fact checked the book before the show airs.

Don't be too hasty to bash Oprah just yet folks.

Remember, she absolutely tore apart James Frey and his publisher on Live TeeVee and exposed the lies in his "memoir." She even forced them to make changes to future editions of the book.

This is what the media had to say about what Oprah did to expose James Frey (from Wikipedia):

The media feasted over the televised showdown. David Carr of the New York Times wrote, "Both Mr. Frey and Ms. Talese were snapped in two like dry winter twigs." "Oprah annihilates Frey," proclaimed Larry King. New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd wrote, "It was a huge relief, after our long national slide into untruth and no consequences, into Swift boating and swift bucks, into W.'s delusion and denial, to see the Empress of Empathy icily hold someone accountable for lying," and the Washington Post's Richard Cohen was so impressed by the confrontation that he crowned Winfrey "Mensch of the Year."

So, it's our job to send emails, phone calls and letters to Oprah exposing the many, many lies of Sarah Palin.

Oprah could very well be the one to bring Palin down for good. She's already done it before.

Please ask Oprah to ask Palin if she condones the hatred of the teabagfers as it pertains to our President.

That is a very simple question; and relevant because the teabaggers are a cross over of Palin istas.

The two cults are made up of the same people. We'd alll like to know WHY she didn't knock if off after the Secret Service asked her to and WHY she doesn't ask them to tamp it down now, knowing she's riling up 400% increase in death threats.

Can't help but wonder about the reasoning for this interview... must be all about ratings... maybe they ALL are... who knows...

We all know that no substance would ever leave S Palins lips... so the project is a comedy show before it even starts... I'd rather have a fresh garden salad served up by Oprah than another wilted word salad by S Palin on Oprah's show...

My call on this upcoming show is that...

The liberal audience will be hoping Palin just tugs the noose around her (hopeful 1012) political neck tighter, and the few conservatives who watch O will feel vindicated that her presence on the Oprah Winfrey Show proves her a still viable political candidate... lol...

Having said that, I am disappointed that Oprah would have her on as a guest... but at least glad it's LIVE, as I've read... at least LIVE we may get a more realistic impression, a taped and edited version I would NEVER trust w Palin involved... even though it feels safe to assume that questions will be proposed by, approved and monitored by whatever handlers Palin will have involved in this...

ha, if Meg Stapletongue is involved, S Palin won't say anything... someone else will be present to answer for the quitter Guv...

Given Oprah's demographics she will be preaching more to the choir than anything... I hope she doesn't "softball" it... I hope she asks some very tough questions... and INSISTS on answers, unlike Katie Couric & Charlie Gibson... they managed to hang her out to dry by emphasizing with reiterated questions that she wasn't prepared for the interviews ALONE, not to mention the VP seat... I just hope that Oprah insists on direct answers... and doesn't settle for the famous word salad blitz... afterall she is no longer a candidate for ANYTHING except self promotion... how hard could that be to flub???

This is great news. Look at all of the people Oprah has interviewed over the years--plenty of unsavory characters. Most recently, Tyson who was convicted of rape. Her interviewing SP doesn't mean she is going to give her a comfortable platform to sell her book. I expect firm but fair questions. Plus, from what I hear, the interview will be live. I'm expecting a Tom Cruise jumping on the couch moment. Oprah doesn't need to grill her for SP to expose herself.

Even though I know Oprah won't be a complete pushover, I can't help feeling that Palin would never consent to an "uncontrolled" interview, where questions weren't prescreened and agreed-upon. I know she isn't that smart, but she is very good at self-preservation. We'll see.

I am confused by the people who have said they are disheartened by Oprah, their opinion of her has lowered, will protest etc etc. Haven't you all been annoyed that Sarah has been shielded from mainstream media, particularly anyone who might criticize her? Would you prefer Faux news do an interview? Someone has to get the truth(or blatant lies) straight from the horse's mouth, wouldn't you prefer an Obama supporting talk show host who can say what she wants on her show to do it rather than faux news or even a liberal news media who has to watch what they say and avoid inappropriate questions? You should be supporting Oprah for giving us what we have been waiting for, not boycotting her. If Jon Stewart interviewed Palin would you boycott him? Didn't think so.

Have we forgotten that Oprah campaigned for Barack??? And, let's not forget that Oprah's ratings have been slipping lately. Another cheery thought, remember the Frey book was outed as a lie. Last encouraging thought: Tom Cruise made a national fool of himself jumping up and down on Oprah's sofa. All appearances on Oprah are not always a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Anonymous2:27 PM

Well, good. It could be an excellent show if Oprah is allowed to run it. But like so many have pointed out here, Sarah has rules to her appearances. So it remains to be seen.

A couple of responses to comments:

Oprah's audience is broad, but I would guess she mostly appeals to middle-of-the-road folk and probably more Republicans (if there's any correlation with party) are viewers. She's a little 'girly' and plays to the conventional feminine side of things. Democrat women are watching Tavis Smiley and sports. :] Generalizing, most Democrat women work and many have decided not to have TVs.
I really don't like the show. I find it stifling and frankly, boring and shallow. I'm good for about 10 minutes. I don't get the appeal. But I'm an Andy Rooney girl. And I like Iron Chef.

Something to keep in mind - Oprah Winfrey is a marketed entertainment personality. She/it is a commodity. What you see on the show is not the 'real' Oprah.
Similar to Sarah Palin, Oprah is an iconic figure of American womanhood. "She's one of us!"
She brings natural charism, a sense of personal familiarity, and some esoteric quality of common-sense/successful/connection that appeals to Americans drowning in a world of artifice and fake beauty.
Oprah is an actress. She's in the entertainment industry. And she's one of the most successful women in this millenium.

Contacting the show - neither Oprah nor her producers care what you think. They care what you'll buy.
The ratings? As accurate as polls. It's systems that generate a number to apply to emotion, preference, intangible unidentifiable stuff. These things can only measure what those particular respondents thought on that day and time.

Here's a challenge. Let's have the entire westernized world turn off the television on November 16th for the one hour that Oprah airs. It can't be just changing the channel; it has to be the collective turning it off.

Think the television industry or the Nielsen guys will notice?
    I wonder.

Okay, after having thought about this a little bit, here is my take. Oprah Winfrey is far from a pushover. She is a very sharp lady with a good business head on her shoulders. I think you can forget the Trig issue coming up on Oprah; she simply is not going to go there. I do think she is going to call $arah Palin's sorry ass on the carpet about all the racist remarks, issues and situations that she is responsible for, both directly and indirectly. Oprah's audience is certainly more liberal than Queen Esther has ever been exposed to. These are Oprah's people, not Palin's. Plus as numerous people have pointed out Oprah is close to the Obama Family and supported President Obama since his run for the Senate. She is capable of making mincemeat out of $P and I believe she will do it. What I cannot figure is why Palin agreed to go on her show in the first place. My guess is she is desperate for money, there is nothing so near and dear to her heart and may well have clouded her thinking. All Palin is looking at is dollar signs.

Maybe Oprah will talk about her own pregnancy that she hid at 14 after being raped and abused for 5 years. Maybe she will have some questions about Cathy Baldwin Johnson's work with child abuse survivors. Or about charging rape victims for rape kits. If any of you were unaware of Oprah's life story:

    http://news.softpedia.com/news/Oprah-Raped-At-9-Years-Old-10402.shtml

She is not afraid to ask personal questions. Maybe she will get Sarah to breakdown and spill whatever has made her insane. Who else could get Tom Cruise to jump up and down on a couch like an idiot but Oprah?

    ReplyDelete
  83. After this appearance, Sarah will hate Oprah as much as she hates Katie Couric, you betcha. Oprah will ask some tough questions and Palin better be ready to answer them. I really don't understand why everybody is dissing Oprah so hard. First off, ask yourselves; "What business is she in?" She's in the "Talk" business, and like it/her or not, Palin is probably the biggest "Get" there is in the business. Given how many times she has been a no show, there's no guarantee she will even show up for this one. However, should she not show up,she will probably be savaged by Oprah, and further cement her image as worthless.
One other thing. Give Oprah a chance before you all start drawing your conclusions as to whether you like or respect her. She's no dummy, and I'm sure cognizant of the "moment" she will be part of. I will hold off with my judgment until I see what she does with it.
I hope she nails Palin to the floor.

I don't mind Oprah having her on, I will be disgusted if she doesn't confront a few things.

I am not an admirer of Geraldo or his shows. I do recall he is half Jewish and he had a show with white racists that hated Jews. Oprah will not get into chair throwing and Sarah is not wearing white sheets that I've heard.

Homeland Security and others do have reports and information on the racists, threats and crimes. There is no direct link to Sarah as instructing any one to do anything. there is a lot of data and Oprah can't be ignorant about the severe danger the Obama's live with each day. Even with great security they have. She must be aware of those that incite violence. It is clear there are many who are on the edge and think the worst. I don't see how Oprah can miss the influence of Sarah Palin on those that are calling for Obama to be killed and for the Army and police to revolt.

I would not like to see that Oprah is only doing this for the ratings and that she isn't going to confront what is happening to Our President and the dangerous world his adversaries are making for us all to live in. The threats for civil war are getting louder and they are saying they want people killed or to kill right out loud. The people they follow will not be that combative but they are all the same.

I would hope Oprah already knows about "little black Sambo," Juneteenth, Lyda Greene and all others. When they exist that she has heard the tapes.

I don't know how Oprah could do a show and not deal with reality.

I don't see her showing, unless she is positive there will be Fox like coddling. If they put her on anti-anxiety meds that will be obvious under the television lights.
We thought she was getting rewired to appear in Hong Kong. It didn't happen.

It's Oprah's show and I hope she laughs at any attempt by Sarah to control the questions or the type of audience, etc. Man, what an opportunity for putting Sarah in her place once and for all for good.
I wrote to Harpo and mentioned the wild ride and asked them to ask Sarah why she did soemthing so irresponsible. I also mentioned CBJ horrific prenatal advice and asked Oprah to do a "public service announcement" type angle of things "not to do while pregnant". I also spoke of Sarah's statement of having "tight abs" and how that is physiologically impossible during pregnancy, and how smug Sarah was when she spoke of hiding her pregnancy.
I don't plan to watch the show, but will find out from the blogs what happened and catch it on youtube later.
    Write letters to Harpo.

Also, the show isn't live. I bet they'll do it in Wasilla, unless SP is afraid of people getting wind of all the AlaskaTrustFund money going into her property..I guess technically, real estate lawyers are legal defense...

I can't imagine this High Definition gig will go well for her. Cults support a system that share the same fantasy, they can keep her floating longer then a Balloon Boy Made for TV Family. Kate Grosslin would build her man a cave if he would come back and run the house executive who takes care of all the business and runs the house. We live in a society that tolerates a tasteless right wing anarchy, sedition, intimidation, bully network and violence from on high.

First, Oprah did say she'd be happy to have Palin on AFTER the election. Palin is hawking her book and it's not like Oprah can say no.

Oprah will read the book. Oprah is not stupid. Oprah will do her homework. Oprah will be very polite. Oprah will ask questions about the book.

I don't think Palin will find a sympathetic shoulder in Oprah. She will not be able to manipulate her or pull some of her usual tactics on her.

Okay, so I went to Oprah comment site and filled-in all my personal information, and then set to writing my list of suggested questions and added a few careful comments reminding Oprah that she has a unique opportunity to help us set the real Sarah. Then, to my dismay I noted the 2000-character restriction.

It can't be done. There are too many questions, too many topics to cover, too much Sarah shit to slog through.

I felt discouraged. I copied what I wrote and put it into a nice little word processing file. If I feel up to whittling down my 8,000-plus-character interrogatory, I will try again, but task is going to be so hard because there are so many critical questions that must be asked. So many facts to expose. Egads.

    Sigh.

I do hope someone asks her about the witch killing in Africa and her ties to the American-based church movement that has spurred it on - plus her being blessed by an anti-witch African pastor. That seems a topic just made for Oprah to run with because of her commitment to education in Africa. I think she'd love to see where Sarah stands on this.

So much stuff, so little space.

That is powerful." If Oprah is getting enough letters like mine written by informed citizens who know Palin's "track record," I'm sure Oprah will prepare for this carefully. So keep up the good work, folks!

    Palin should be very afraid.

This is fabulous news. Oprah is giving SP an hour in which to metaphorically hang herself.

We all know that Oprah is one smart lady.
We all know that Sarah is an ignorant woman.
Oprah, no doubt, is completely aware of this, too.

On the other hand, Sarah no doubt thinks that she is smarter--after all, Oprah is part of the "liberal elite media," supported Obama and is black to boot.

Come November 16, I intend to tune in to watch Oprah. By this time, she will have completely dissected Sarah's book. She will be courteous, but ask pertinent questions and demand answers.

Sarah will walk away knowing that Oprah outsmarted her. But, within a few minutes, she (Sarah) will, without a doubt, twist this fact around in her brain and will probably blame her less than glowing interview on, oh say, something like the "Color Purple."

  119. I am positive that Scarah has a list of questions that Oprah will NOT be able to ask.
But Oprah is a good interviewer. She can steer the conversation so subtle, Palin won't know what hit her. Oprah will call her out on obvious lies (especially if she does her homework, as I'm pretty sure she will).
I wonder if Scarah will be taking along her children to use as human shields?

  120. This is not going to be an interview where Oprah tells everyone in the audience that a copy of Palin's book is under their chair.

For everyone who says that Oprah is just in it for the money...PLEASE. Don't be so provincial. She stopped being "in it for the money," like, a decade ago. There comes a point when you already have so much money that making even more is sometimes just an afterthought.

Oprah is no weakling and no dummy. This might not be a tough interview (for that, Palin needs to sit down with Rachel Maddow) - but it won't be a walk in the park either. Because Oprah won't be banned by Palin from asking pretty much whatever she wants. Palin NEEDS to be on Oprah, so she's in no position to set interview conditions and "no-no" topics. Now, I'm sure to be nice (throwing a dog a bone) Oprah has perhaps said she won't ask about Palin's kids or whatever.

This is far from Meg giving the she will be on Oprah announcement.

Which means Sarah is not committed to anything.

Has anyone asked Oprah staff what they are going on to make their announcement?

If it is so solid for Oprah, why is Meg teasing C4P? Cruel Meg because she can?

GeeZ! What a bunch of losers these Palin haters are on here.

Have many of you have even held a public office or governed a state; or even picked to run as VP of any country?

You're all sour and jealous about Palin who has never known any one of you personally and has never treated you wrong personally.

Some of you may be pretty on the outside, but your souls and heart speak sewage on the inside. Shame on you losers!
