Sarah Palin's triumphant return to Twitter!

Here are some details of the upcoming book tour. I’m starting in Michigan and you’ll understand why when you read the book. Last year, I made a promise to the good people of Michigan that I would be back, and now I’m keeping that promise. (Michigan is near and dear to my family’s heart! Our eldest son, Track, lived with a great host family there during his hockey days.) (Yes but WHY did he have to leave school and stay with the host family to "play hockey"? Hmmm?)

From Michigan, the “Going Rogue” tour will cover as much of the country as possible. I’ve decided to stop in cities that are not usually included in a typical book tour. (But ARE very Republican and therefore will not chase me out of town with pitchforks and torches.) For instance, I’m looking forward to meeting our honorable men in women in uniform and their families at a Fort Bragg book signing, and to reconnecting with friends my family made last year on the campaign trail in different book signing venues.

We have a tight schedule, but I’m working with the publisher to allow possibilities of stopping at a few unannounced places, too.

I’ll Twitter information when the tour starts, so I’ll post our progress from the road. You can follow on Twitter at SarahPalinUSA.
(Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Quick somebody warm up the Shatner!)

(By the way HERE is the link to Palin's Twitter page. There are no updates yet and you are going to want to where sunglasses before opening it up. I think it blistered my corneas.)

Below are dates, times, and locations for the first part of the tour – this schedule brings us up to Thanksgiving, where I’ll get to connect with family in Washington state for the holiday. Stay tuned for our post-Thanksgiving schedule coming soon.

Please contact each venue for more information. Can’t wait to see you soon!

- Sarah Palin

(And I can't wait to call you out on your lies every step of the way. Maybe we should carpool?)

  1. ya know, that is a thought...what is she going to do when we all show up at her book signings and ask her "pointed" questions? she couldn't possibly pre screen everyone. this could be quite fun.

Thought: Will there be as many people controlling all this like there was for a Presidential campaign? Or will it be the PR person and Meg?

Who will keep the protesters away in the "free speech zone?"

She may quit this sooner than she thinks if she has to get close to people who don't worship her.

Will the press be following her? We get the medium and large trucks with all the equipment when a celebrity has a local court appearance. Why can't they caravan with her little bus?

As noted elsewhere, the number of venues does not equal the number of stars on the map. I counted 13 book signings, and thirty-five stars on the map. "Headed west after Thanksgiving" doesn't explain it either, as 17 of the stars are located in, arguably, the eastern fourth of the country. And that's even if we count everything beyond the Mississippi as "the West". But, whatever.

I cain't wait ta hear the magic that is about to be bestowed across this great Merican country to the "real" Mericans. We "fake" Mericans are at a huge disadvantage not being able to be blessed with her saintly presence.

I can just picture the lines of worshippers all getting autographs from "the author", and all asking her how her little blessed angel baby is doing. BTW where IS your blessed little angel baby, Sarah? Oh, you had to leave him at home with Bristol? Well, at least he gets to play with his brother Tripp....oh gosh sorry Sarah, I meant his NEPHEW Tripp.

BTW and OT--it is really really hard to put back a key on this laptop----but I DID it, yes I did, after hubbie swore and gave up on it (shhhhhhhh!)

Wow, Palin is hardly hitting the "major players" on the You Betcha book tour, is she? An Indiana "hypermarket", Sam's Club, an independent bookstore - what, she couldn't get onto any third-tier cable station news shows in the deep South?

Roanoke, VA is a BLUE city surrounded by red counties, so XINO might be in for a bit of a "warm" welcome there. (Wish I wasn't going to be out of town so I could be there with my own torch and pitchfork!)

    Wait a minute..
    Hold the phone!
Is this really a bus tour? Are we / is she sure?

On November 23rd she is going to be at Fort Bragg, NC from 11:00 until 2:00 p.m. and then in Birmingham, AL from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.?

I just checked MapQuest--unless I'm putting in the wrong Fort Bragg, NC or the wrong Birmingham, AL, the driving distance (i.e. a bus ride) is 536.93 miles and said to take something like 8 1/2 hours. But there are only 2 1/2 hours between her "appearance" in each place. Hmmm. What, does she think she can hijack a military jet from NC to AL?

While over at wonkette I found this blog dedicated to Sarah. It is called "Sarah Palins Accomplishments."

And here is the one whacko comment posted there. The only thing Sarah attracks are the whacko's just like herself.

pray for the safety of Gov Mother Sarah Palin as she heads over to sell her New Book in Grand Rapids MI-the well known enclave for the North American islamist culture.

    November 21:
    Washington, PA 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
    Rochester, NY 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Whew, Sarah P is getting a much needed 4 hour break--that's good--especially since the distance between Washington, PA and Rochester, NY is 307.46 miles and is over a 5 hour drive.

Hmmm. How does she do that???

Maybe the wheels on the bus won't be going round and round--maybe the engine on the plane will be going vrooom, vrooom!

Something doesn't add up here. Number of stars on the map--number of hours alloted for road trips between signings venues. Maybe she's counting on Tina Fey to take up the slack.

Maybe she is using a body double on the bus and she has a private jet at her disposal.

  13. Hey-Wait a second here-- is anyone trying to suggest that our Sarah isn't being honest with us ?? NO WAY !! She just got ta' come on the bus because she still has so many more folks to throw under it.

Well, at least those six long grueling days on the road end up in Orlando... Hey! Maybe Goofy and his friends will greet her at the Greyhound Bus Terminal. D'ya suppose?

  15. Ooo, I'm so excited--there appears to be a star in NJ. Maybe after Rochester she'll swing by on her super fast bus to a town near me?? I won't tell a soul, Sarah, you come on over!!! Maybe Christie told her the coast was clear now and NJ is all red.

wes_ben has the right idea, and it has me wondering-- how many people in line will be there waiting for the chance to ask Sarah some question that they have been waiting all year to ask. I can see some of those pesky reporters who never had access getting access for the price of a book. (Go to Sam's Club where they are discounted). I can see the anonymous bloggers in line, twittering about their experience, cell phone camera in hand, maybe one of those pens in their pocket with the tiny video camera.

Here's an idea for a contest: What is the one question that you would ask Sarah Palin if someone gave you a book and a spot in her line?

I hate the flyer it's what I call "trash American style." call me an elitest I don't care but Sarah trying to act like the all American apple pie mom is a crock of bullshit

yeah SAMs club is a perfect venue! Aren't there any walmart stops and why is she not visiting Arizona to see the McCains!
She just wants to relive the days of people cheering and this time no meenies to hold her back from saying whatever she wants.
(this is great news! Wait and see!) watch when pundits and media start analyzing and she starts fighting with then again

Yup- as a number of people have noted she even lies in her poster. The number of stars is to give the impression that she is touring all over th country- when she is not-

because she is gutless to face the American people without all of her handlers, spinmeisters, and ghostwriters.

    Sick and pathetic.

I am disappointed, I was getting that warm & cozy company's coming feeling, but "Gov Mother Sarah Palin" in not coming anywhere near my home in Northern Calif. There's a star somewhere in the middle of the state but CA is not on the agenda. It does seem like a curious schedule, can you get a drink at Sam's Club while waiting for an autograph? I too have relatives in the great state of Michigan & wonder how well she will be received. This book signing could be quite an adventure.

Gryphen, You are too funny. Seconding guessing everything she or her family has done (the son living in Michigan).

I noticed that She is not coming anywhere near Philly on her book tour. In Fact, she is going to the farthest town way over there on the other end of the state. I guess she got her feelings hurt when Philly folks booed her at a hockey game on her last visit.

The scary rednecks out there can have her.

Did you count the number of different fonts used on that poster? 8, 9, 10? Man, this is a huge mess! Who designed that? No professional ad/marketing firm would put out a mess like that!

I read her full schedule (Huffington Post)after Thanksgiving..you know...where she says she is "headed west?" Notice all the pretty little stars in the WEST? Well, she is making ONE stop in New Mexico...that is it! She is not even going to make one stop in Alaska even though she has a really big pretty star there. Sarah, do you think we are all stupid and don't read? Sheesh......will she ever go away?

At www.frontiersman.com over 60% of the valley residents will not buy her book and the rest of the votes are a little lukewarm...like they will wait to borrow it from a friend.

I just had a capital idea:

How about a Tina Fey lookalike, dressed precisely like Palin, who hawks "Going Rouge" at the same locations at the same time.

OK, in all fairness, there's nothing sinister about Track going off to live with a host family in Michigan -- that's how the junior (farm league) hockey leagues work; when I volunteered with the hockey team in Texas, we had kids from Canada, Alaska, even Sweden living with host families all over the county.

There's plenty to beat up Sarah with, we don't need to stretch.

I just realized that I'm going to be in Orlando at the same time as Palin (taking the kiddo to DisneyWorld - maybe I'll bump into Piper there). But since I will have kid in tow, I'll have to skip checking out the book signing.

  42. Anonymous6:15 AM

Really? Are you kidding? Do you actually think anyone is going to question Palin about babygate on her book tour. Or anyone will show up to protest a book signing!

Here is what will really happen.

She is only going to friendly territory, the general public has no idea about babygate. She has gotten much better about controlling the media stories about her as well.

She will scream from the rooftops how welcoming and friendly everyone has been. She will release some video clips of fawning fans and maybe a small well practiced speech to show her popularity. She will control this message, make no mistake.

The MSM is not going to cover anything themselves, they may cover the tour with released footage given to them by Palin but thats it.

Dont get your hopes up that this is going to make her look bad. It wont. Be prepared to be thouroughly disgusted by the press.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Anonymous6:37 AM

The Oprah show will be by satellite and her bus schedule doesn't match with real time travel? She continues to be a card board cut out candidate with a moving mouth. I'd like to see Rupert Pupkin interview her from the basement.

  44. Merry@St.Louis (like your name, btw), that is very funny.

"How can Sarah Palin come out and endorse someone who can't answer some basic questions," Scozzafava asked. "Do these people even know who they are endorsing?"

That quote would apply perfectly to anyone who endorsed or might endorse Sarah Palin. I wonder if Scozzafava got the irony.

Ratfish, I was not defending Track's entire career, which as we all know has been dismal, and we all know why he got shipped off to Iraq. I was just pointing out that making a big deal out of the hockey host family was an error. Chill, dude. We're all on the same side here.

    Another tool, like GBeck.

SP should be outed soon enough. Pro-life is the issue now; the stumbling block for health care reform. SP will be using her prop against choice. That should prompt others once silent to speak out about that fake pregnancy.

Thanks for all the info, Gryphen. Honestly, I wouldn't walk across the street to see her, much less buy her book. Although I would hold a sign with that state photo of her and Parnell standing on steps dated March 08, asking "Where's Trig?" But her bus will not be rolling through my neighborhood anyway.

It's no surprise she's using Twitter again; to build up her fan base and inspire those spiritual warfare soldiers.

Pat in Texas is absolutely right about the Michigan/hockey thing. It's very common for talented high school age hockey players to move to Michigan, Minnesota, etc to stay with a host family and play hockey. And he's right, too, that there's plenty else to bash the Palin's about. We don't need to, as he argues, stretch.
