Get ready to have your blood pressure go through the roof! If this picture does not make your blood boil than you are truly a Palin-bot.

A Colorado state employee could be disciplined for sending an e-mail showing President Barack Obama shining the shoes of former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

The 73-year-old Colorado Department of Transportation worker forwarded the e-mail to at least four co-workers and others on Dec. 22 using her state e-mail account. One of the recipients outside the agency complained.

The original sender of the e-mail, who isn't a state employee, wrote "It appears he (Obama) has found his niche."

CDOT spokeswoman Mindy Crane says the worker could face discipline ranging from a written reprimand to suspension. Employment rules require that she meet with personnel officials first and have a chance to respond in writing. That meeting is scheduled for next week.

First things first, that is a REALLY bad job of photoshopping.

Second, the state worker that sent this needs to lose her fucking job.

And third, you can have any racist fantasy you want, but the facts are that Caribou Barbie destroyed the Republicans chances of winning the 2008 election.

And just to give the people who support this kind of thing a little reality check. Barack Obama is our president, while Sarah Palin is a woman who quit her job, wrote a book full of lies, and is so terrified of me that she had me banned from a public event.

And if Sarah Palin has an ounce of class she will rattle the chains that connect RAM to her keyboard and make her write a repudiation of this image on her Facebook page. Okay, half an ounce of class. She might have at least that much, right?

The story says it's a she. I guess it's a sign of the economy that this 73 year old is still working-- but apparently she has way too much time on her hands! I don't think the state is getting its money's worth out of her.

"And if Sarah Palin has an ounce of class...." Ha! thanks for the laugh!

I saw this weeks ago on a right wing site where they post demeaning pictures of Michelle or the President.

The site took on a southern woman a year or so ago and this is her idea of how life should be. Two women one in California and the other down south are incredibly bigoted.

  3. Gryphen, my friend-- quite frankly, I don't know why you devoted a post to this garbage. You are simply feeding the trolls in a different way here. These folks are sick -- why give them any more public attention ?? I suggest that you take it down.

Cheers Buddy and Happy New Year

  4. I monitor her FB page pretty closely ... this type of stuff is on there all the time.

Along with prayers for President Obama's death, failure ... anti-Obama conspiracies etc ...

Sarah doesn't have the class OR the inclination to denounce this. She would alienate her fans if she did that!

BTW ... the Wasilla banning got a couple of minutes on MSNBC this morning!

  5. There's no accounting for stupid. You'd think a 73-year-old Colorado Department of Transportation worker would have enough respect for her JOB if not our legitimately, legally elected President.

I hope she's forceably retired, and loses her cushy government retirement package in the bargain. Surely there's some younger, less racist person in Colorado who needs a job and doesn't mind working for the gummint...

THIS is the photo I brought up this photo on Team Sarah.. I think on either Bree's site or Palingates.
I was trying to see how much Sarah P. was affiliated with Team Sarah as if she were close.. then it means she is supporting a group that allows these type of photos.

The photo is no longer at that site (well I just searched "Obama" .. could be hidden in there) but others I have seen this past year that were racially offensive have been removed.. so I think they do monitor their site.

  7. Even half an ounce of class? Her?? Somehow, I doubt it!

And, I agree---the worker should lose her fucking job!

  8. Sadly, Gryphen, Palin has NO fucking class what so ever.
She's probably getting her rocks off on this. She encourages people to do these nasty, hateful things all the time that she is putting down OUR President Obama.
This is just one example of why I cannot stand this woman. I even hate to refer to her as a woman because a REAL woman wouldn't be so freakin childish.
Yes, this pic has my blood boiling. My BP must have shot up, too.
But what can we do about this kind of crap?
Gryphen, you've got to convince people that the time to talk is NOW. The longer that Palin gets away with these types of things, the worse she and her sicko followers get.
Please, for the love of all that is Holy.............

You know actually it is good that you posted this. People really need to get a good look at what is currently passing for polite society and class these days.

The ugly racism needs to be "outed". We have always had this dirty little secret, and now the racist clowns seems to think that it is O.K.

Well it's not. It's hideous and ugly and shameful. It makes our country look disgusting.

When did ugliness and bad taste become normal? And yes, fire the person that did it, using a STATE computer.

We used to keep our racism under wraps...it's always been there, but since we have a black president, it seems to be gloves off and no holds barred. I don't think it is anything to be proud of. Then again, neither is torturing human beings.

I find this aspect of my country shameful. The idea that Mrs. Palin wouldn't denounce this speaks volumes about her lack of character. We seem to have lowered our standards and frankly I want better for my grandchildren.

Thank you for everything your doing I've been with you since I first saw Sarah Palin like everyone else and I was stunned by his pick and something about her I just didn't trust And then found these blogs Thank you again but please get this nightmare over with! Someday I wish to be as cool as him.

  15. Sorry, but I am NOT taking it down.

As uncomfortable as it makes us, we need to confront exactly what kind of racist garbage is being passed around by Palin supporters.

As has already been reported here, THIS image is old news to the people who support Palin. It has appeared prominently on sites that Palin refers to in her Tweets and endorses by posting messages to them. These are the kinds of people who Sarah calls friends.

I think Americans need to know that.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anonymous12:22 PM

yup...leave it up man. These are exactly the slimey bastards Sarah Palin embraces. I monitor her FB often as well and from my point of view, her not admonishing this kind of racist filth...makes her complicit to it.
Exposing these scumbags exposes Sarah also, too vice versa.

Oooh, I agree. I don't like the image here. The palinbots will love this, and then people will copy it use it for even more hateful e-mails. Don't feed the trolls.

As far as getting fired, I wonder what rules they have for racist, political, personal e-mails on company time -- if it is grounds for firing, then they should. Otherwise, if they have a good record, I don't think it is necessary to get fired over just one. But, I agree something needs to go into their employee file.

Yeah I think you should take it down too. It just allows others to find this picture and keep passing it on with their venom. I don't think it adds anything to your mission. Putting stuff like this on your blog is like us visiting the Urinal. It feeds the wrong people. Ever since you pointed out that clicking on the urinal was benefiting them, I quit. I think you should take your own advice and remove this picture. It is benefiting the wrong people.

I think it's a really good thing that you posted this. I think people need to be aware of what types of things her supporters are saying. I had to report a death threat to President Obama from over on her FB page, it's a regular occurance. I think this stuff needs to be seen and rejected. This type of thing combined with the horrible things said at her rally's that she never repudiated, her situation with the Juneteenth celebration will all come back to haunt her eventually. Sooner rather than later would be nice. Frank Schaeffer said on Rachel Maddow's show that this type of talk and silent approval of such talk is purposely aimed at enciting violence against our President.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Anonymous12:43 PM

Gryphen, I entirely understand your point about why you won't take it down. You've got to stare down racism in the face to get some folks to believe it exists. But at the same time, you gotta know that Palin-bots will defend this stupidity as "justice" for the famous photoshopped "iconic mother-and child" images of Trig and SP. Because they're just that stupid not to see the difference.

As I said, this stuff, along with conspiracies, anti=Obama lies is often on Sarah's OFFICIAL site, and she is too dumb to see that it reflects on her amongst the THINKING people .. she knows that her support comes from the 'type' of people who hate Obama MORE than they love their country!

The more people SEE what a Sarah supporter is, the more disgusting they appear!

Here's the good news and some perspective. This was forwarded by a woman in her 70s, SP's key demographic. They are longing for a time that's past and is not returning. It's okay. I'm black, and did find this picture offensive, but it didn't make my blood boil, and you know why? Because Obama is President, and no email or photo they can come up with can change that. They are only acting out like this because they lost, will continue to lose, and are so pissed about it they don't know what else to do. It's fantasy. I'm sure there's been an uptick in "Gone with the Wind" movie rentals too, ha ha! Who cares, Obama will succeed, SP will fail and they are going to have to watch the whole thing go down from their easy chairs and nurse their wounds and remember the good old days when minorities knew their place. But those days are long gone and aren't coming back! The good guys (black, white, brown, yellow) won in Nov!

Sorry but I disagree. These kinds of things need to be held up to the ridicule they deserve.
If there is not outrage then there is no motivation for the owner of the site that was used, the state, to punish this individual.

    No harm, no foul.

Since many and maybe even most of the people who will stand in judgement of this empolyee may be as biggoted as she is, their motivation to behave correctly is public outrage and fear for their own behinds if they do not do what is correct under their responsibilites as state employees.

Gryphen: Agreed to leave it up. The racism in the US is and has always been with us. To most of us, it is sick and disgusting. Racism is based on a lack of education and fear (two things that Sarah trades in).

She won't disavow it. She eats this sh*t for breakfast. It's what gives her power and strength to feed her masses. It's red meat to the Sarahphiles. It's who and WHAT she is.

We are a huge country and we have an ugly streak a mile wide. Most of us find this type of thing really offensive but I think it's important for people to recognize what is considered "classy" by her rabid racist flying monkeys.

She is slightly below pond scum on the intelligence quota and her fans prove every day what type of demographic she appeals to. To those of us that actually got an education and were raised to be civil and polite, her minions are disgusting.

I am in her demographic but I wouldn't touch that piece of slime with a 10 foot pole. She is horrible and she is embarrassing. I know she supposedly appeals to older Americans but all of us "oldies" that I know find her disgusting.

My dad was Primitive Baptist - the foot washing folks. There's not a whole lot of difference between shining somebody's shoes and washing their feet.

The strength, honor, 'servant's heart' rests in the shiner/washer. Humility = the lion's heart.

I bet our President would happily shine her shoes or wash her feet if it meant a change in her heart.
And that's why I voted for him and why I'll vote for him again. I just wish he could serve 3 terms.

Sad to say, that's never gonna happen. Because she is one selfish, stupid, sociopathic b-tch.

Thanks Gryph. I do believe it needs to stay. It is representative of the racist makeup of the Palinistas.

The fact is, Scarah FAILED to help McInsane win the Presidency of the U.S. She LOST to a black man.

She also lost a pageant to a black girl, right?

The virulent racism of the C4Peers is known and needs to be shown in all of its glory. It is why many of us grandmas find her disgusting and why she LOST.

Look everyone - she's been a loser her whole life. The fact is, there are not enough racists in this country to get her elected and the independents and dems already know what she is and represents. She's DONE. You cannot win a national election with only the Aryan Nation and AIP voting for you.

  71. Right after the election I had a "discussion" with an acquaintance (picture this: big, fat, greasy redneck, complete with sleeveless tshirt barely covering his beer gut, and incidentally was dishonorably discharged from the navy) whose racism is so ingrained in him it doesn't occur to him there actually are white people who don't hate blacks.

What shocked him the most about President Obama winning is that white people actually voted for him. That fact chaps his ass to this day, and I don't think he'll ever be able to accept it.

This guy personifies ignorance, in all its glory. But you know what? At least he's honest about it (he's too dumb to be otherwise). I'm from Virginia, and even though Obama won this state it's still extremely conservative outside the DC metro area. (Remember, Roanoke was on SP's book tour.) There are lots of conservatives around me who can't stand that Obama won and continue to find negativity in every single thing he does. But they're not fooling me one bit--for the most part it's (barely) veiled racism.

I don't think racism will ever completely go away because it's learned. Ignorant people pass it down to their chidren and granchildren. Thankfully many of those children recognize how wrong and ugly it is to be racist and reject those ideas, but some do not, or cannot. That segment of the population that wants to "take our country back" is always going to exist. And it's that segment that feeds Sister Sarah's monstrous ego.

Sister Sarah will never sincerely renounce this picture, or any like it, for that matter. Unlike our president, she doesn't have enough character or dignity or poise for that.

  72. She'll just say she didn't know...

Similar to the day after her bus pulled away from the disappointed crowd of fans who had bought her book, got wristbands that supposedly ensured an autograph, but didn't it because she stiffed them by leaving at her scheduled time.

She issued a Facebook message the next day saying I've been told that yesterday there were supporters in Noblesville who stood in long lines for hours in the cold and rain...[etc]

She had to be TOLD that there were people outside her bus who'd been waiting all day and into the evening for that chance to meet her. Was she deaf? Wearing celebrity dark glasses?

I'm originally from Oklahoma, lived in TX for 25 years plus I've got a lot of stupid, stupid friends and relatives who won't listen to reason about Palin or about fundies. I've been forwarded a lot of emails like this.

At first, I was just deleting the emails. Then I stepped it up to sending an email to them "I won't forward your email, it's offensive for these reasons...etc.". My complaints increased the traffic from some. Sadism I guess. I decided that not only would I write and tell them I was offended, etc. but I'd send them a LENGTHY email about all the reasons I couldn't stand Palin.

Then I'd badger them: Did you read my email? Did you understand my email? What is your opinion?

None of them can offer up any logical reasons..."she's just like we are" or "she's a good Christian". What a load of bullshit.

I've lost a lot of (not friends) but acquaintances in the last year. Alienated a lot of relatives. Works for me. I'm 67 and I don't need stupidity and bigotry in my life.

The 73 year old should be fired.

If Sarah had any class, LOL! Gryphen, she's already proven she has no problem with anyone demeaning our President in her presence--remember the guy handing out pics of Obama as Hitler, she was obviously OK with that. If she wasn't, she would have "twitted" something by now as we know she reads the blogs and is well aware of what has been going on. She doesn't care what anyone says or does about the President, but God forbid, they say something about her and she makes it out be of major importance. What a friggin' ego this woman has! She really needs to be taken down and quick. Please post any new dirt, Gryphen.

I'm 67. Born in OK, lived in TX for 25 years & other parts of the south for many more years. I'm white. 3 of my great-grandfathers & 1 great-great-grandfather fought FOR the Conderacy. One great-grandfather fought in the Union army. I also do genealogy so I know my family history as well as the country's history. I am NOT a racist but boy do I recognize it when I see it - code words & all.

My point is that when I blast my old friends & relatives about how wrong racism is, how disgusting it is...I bygod know what I'm talking about. Except for my kids - not even my grandkids - few can boast a "pedigree" that's more "Southern gentility" than mine. (Not that there is such a thing as southern gentility but they like to think there is..that's where the MY REAL America bullshit comes from).

Gryphen, don't take the post down. It's disgusting but has to be held up to ridicule. Otherwise, we lose. Speak out folks. Everytime you encounter racism, bigotry, hate-filled emails or speech, speak out. Hit the REPLY ALL button. But do it calmly and logically -- which can be be the most difficult thing to do. Do my emails to them work? I don't think so but maybe someday...

You need to add the Hilterized Obama picture that was handed out at Sarah's Wasilla book signing as an example of what kind of garbage Sarah will allow. If Sarah is for total full expression of the 1st amendment's freedom of speech and of the press, then she had no business banning members of the reporting media.

That image is more than a year old, as I saw it during the campaign. It is no less offensive, it just means that the Colorado sender isn't even creative enough to produce lame photoshop racist garbage. I hope the bigoted teabagging moron was fired.

Why do the teabaggers seem to feel that President Obama is scared of Sarah Palin? I keep reading crap about her mopping the floor with him in a debate. Have these imbeciles HEARD her speak? She couldn't make a subject and predicate agree at gunpoint. She is a buffoon.

The teabaggers are predictably stupid, but they can be mildly amusing. I will sincerely enjoy watching their bewildered reaction when the Tundra Twit is ground into political oblivion. She couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel. She is a feckless moron. THAT must be why she resonates so with the teabaggers. Birds of a feather, and all.

I sincerely hope that she runs for POTUS. I might even make a small contribution to her campaign prior to any primaries.

I hope we can finally get this crazy woman to sit down and shut up.

Only a LOSER would ever do this and find it rewarding -- because only a loser needs to fool themselves into feeling like they are better than the person who beat their running mate by 9 million votes.

Palin got Wasilla by 616 votes. LOL. She's never gotten a million votes for anything, except to GO HOME, and that came from Real Americans all over this great land who saw through her and wanted nothing to do with her skanky, low class white trash self.

She is trash, not fit to be walked on by our President. She deserves to be ridiculed relentlessly.

Only a fool would allow their followers to create stuff like this and not call it out. Because only a fool didn't understand the message on Nov 4, 2008.

Sarah, we see who you are. Go FU*K yourself. And keep your trashy hands off our government.

Crappy photooshpped dreams are all you will ever have, Sarah. LOL. Americans will never let you get anywhere near the WH.

As for this image, spread it far and wide if you want to keep this country safe. Label it "Sarah Palin's fan page" and email it to every moderate you know.

    Nothings turns them off faster.

    Thanks, Sarah.

Someone has to clean the shi..off of her shoes. She has been an embarrasement to the United States of America and President Obama has enough class to help her clean herself up before she goes out in public' Its like cleaning up after a child and trying to make them socialbly acceptable. Quite frankly, she will never by acceptable to me. Thank you President Obama for being our President.

Many African Americans have thick skins about racist depictions of President Obama because we're not surprised by racism. We expect to encounter it and put up with it in subtle and blatant ways in our daily lives. The existence and virulence of racism tends to surprise those who held onto the belief that our country had matured and had reached some kind of racial milestone. Let's give the Palin followers some credit. They've lifted the veil on the level of hatred and bigotry in this country, and we're all witnesses to their sordidness.

I'm not surprised by racism in this country, but I am saddened by its long and protracted history. I am black and American and my African ancestors arrived in this country in the 18th century and have probably lived here longer than Palins' ancestors or those of her small-minded followers. And because of my family's long sojourn in this country, we are also Dutch and Irish and Native American. This is my country as much as it is theirs and watching them degrade it even more is painful.

We finally have a president that actually loves America and wants what's best for all of its citizens. Instead, the media promote Sarah Palin as a legitimate counterpoint to the president. What does she offer America? Hatred, stupidity, ignorance, lies, racism, xenophobia, arrogance, deception. What does her prominence say about this nation?

  85. Gryphen, I agree--leave the photo and story up. The pic is available all over the internet anyway, it's not as if you are providing a picture that people aren't seeing elsewhere.

The goal is to lift up the log so the cockroaches are in the sunlight....This picture illustrates exactly what Sarah Palin has encouraged in her mentally-challenged devotees: disrespect toward our country and our President. The more people who are aware of this, the less likely she will ever be anything more than a quitter ex-Governor, plastic surgery addict, and publicity whore. She most definitely will never be in the White House, thanks to slamming doors.

I live in KY and travel throughout the south and can tell you this hateful, angry attitude toward African Americans still exists in the USA. It is ugly and very unpleasant to look at, but it is still a reality and needs to be faced.

Show the Palinbots for what they really are: racists. Educated people who happen by IM will see your post, stop to read about it, and think carefully about the danger Palin's ignorant zealots pose to our country. That's excellent.

I don't like the term white trash, but sad as it is. let's face it, this is the white trash queen Esther as seen by her white trash following.

Now that you have broached the subject, I am fascinated to learn about the REAL reason the Alaskan Independent Party wants to secede, and why Sarah and Todd are so drawn to this party. I assume (and want Gryph and the readers to verify and instruct, yeay or nay), that the purpose of AIP's secession is for WHITE people to secede from the natives of the state, taking their Alaskan land with them. In other words, am I correct that the real purpose of the AIP is to separate from native Alaskans (and steal their land) EVEN MORE than to escape the clutch of the federal government? And that their real quibble against the feds is that the feds demand that Alaskan lands be set aside for the natives? After all, Alaska is so far from Washington, DC, that in other areas of life the feds really have little influence there, as I see it. Gryph, readers, please elaborate on this question now that we have opened the Pandora's box to peer into the real racism that drives the Palin clan and their followers.

While it is vile and disgusting, I have to agree with the others, leaving it up would be best.

After Presient Obama declared people's children should be left out of political debate, Sarah continued to pander to the family values folks by keeping her kids out of school, draging them around the country as props, while whining that people are only paying attention to her family, and it's sexist and unfair.

Sarah only sees things in black and white- good (white) vs evil (black) and has no qualms at all about speaking out against racism.

No other candidate in history had to make a speech on racism before our President, and one would think our society was beyond that.

"Sarah" and "class" are two mutually exclusive terms.

    ReplyDelete
  92. First of all, aren’t we a little bit too eager to see "racism" in everything? This photo seems to me to be more about qualifications. "He's only barely qualified to shine her shoes." -- Get it?

The good guys won and a lot of people are having a hard time getting over it. As a person she's a pathetic racist. As a state employee she's guilty of misusing their email system, bad taste and poor judgment. -- previous comment

Secondly, it hasn't (unless I missed it) but needs to be pointed out that the emailer was a registered Democrat.

So there's your "racism". But I don't see it as racist, and the emailer probably didn't either. Poor judgement, obviously. Your tax dollars at work, being used by your employees to play on the computer on your time/dime.

    ReplyDelete
  93. It still seems like racism to me. And I'm sure a lot of older white Democrats couldn't bring themselves to vote for a black man for President (I have no idea, of course, if that's the case for this person. I don't know her.)

  95. Mr. Szulaski, I appreciate your comment. I hope that you realize that I did not alter your photograph in any way.

I found it posted on the Huffington Post and after reading the article, and following the links, felt that it was a story that needed to be seen by a large number of people to illustrate how some people are using racism to denigrate our president while elevating a woman who does not even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath.

If you read the comments you will learn that this altered version of your picture has been in circulation for a year or more, and has been distributed widely.

As for defaming your name, until you left this comment I am not sure anybody knew it was originally your picture.

If you are asking that I take the altered version of your picture down I would ask that you reconsider, as I feel this does NOTHING to hurt you since your original photograph seems innocuous. However this photoshopped version has an entirely different intent, and it is that intent which I felt should be understood.
