Well, of course $P could only agree with what the President says if she takes credit for saying it first! It's so sad that her followers can't see the hypocrisy that is Sarah. I really feel bad that she lies to them and manipulates them so much. They get all puffed up when she calls them "Patriots" but they don't even see that she's trying to sell them books! She wants their cash! And these poor folks don't even get mad when she charges them to have a picture taken with her! Can you imagine what they would've said if Hillary or Obama did that??? But in the spirit of Christmas, don't get upset with Sarah's followers; they can't help it that they're too blinded by her winking, wrapping herself in the flag and praising Jesus to see the truth. Besides, they'll need our kindness and understanding when she finally falls on her own sword.

Ya know those old farts who learn one joke and tell it over and over because they're so stupid they don't realize that everyone is laughing AT them and not WITH them? Well, looks like someone gave one of the geezers a computer and taught him how to peck out "Take back our country..."

Yo, idioto! You can't have my country back! The last intellectually deficient pretty face you guys elected fucked it up royally.

  7. Holy moose eyeballs! The funniest thing I've ever heard come out of Sarah Palin's mouth...her appearance on Conan O'Brien/Tonight with William Shatner -- dueling readings from, first her book by him, then his book by her.

She really does a credible job, I think.

I think all this moneygrubbing for politically charged speaking engagements is the wrong path for her after seeing her emote here (well, I thought that before tonight, too).

She should sashay down to Hollywood and look up her good buddy Janine Turner, get a few gigs on "Desperate Housewives"...

What in the world is that furry bubble on her head???!!! Awful!!!!! Looks like a throwback to Annette Funicello. $P is completely addicted to bad wigs and trying to look like a 60's teenager. I believe that's called "arrested development." LOL

Obama is such a copycat! First he stole her campaign slogan and now he's stealing what should have been HER speech in Oslo.
This woman's sense of entitlement and self-importance is staggering. is there a more sanctimoneous, self-righteous, over-inflated, vacuous, vain, self-aggrandizing person in the world right now? She makes Bill O'Reilly look modest!
The bigger her ego gets, the more Bumpits she slaps under that hair-do. WOW!!!

  11. Richard Wolffe's wry comment that, say, the Bible and St. Augustine might have been the inspiration for some of President Obama's remarks rather than "little ol' Sarah from Wasilla" -- I thought that zinger was hilarious.

  12. Tea People:

Yes, by all means, take back "your country" from the smart and educated people and give it back to the knee jerk idiots that spout talking points from the Bible and Fox News.

The current crop of "take back our country" people don't realize the "their country" and "my country" are really not the same America at all.

There is a vast cultural divide in this country and the only way to bridge it is through education. The Tea Children need to become educated (despite the Tea Adults abhorrence of education) and move beyond the stupidity of the Tea Adults. Only then will we have a next generation with cohesive thoughts and ideas regarding what path this country should travel.

This is my America: The Progressives are purchasing the new Sub Zero fridge and the Tea Party folks are fixing it when it breaks.

We do so love you for being so handy though, and for cleaning our houses when they get dirty, I just hate to do windows....

  13. Aside from the ridiculousness of the whole "I said it first" stance, has anyone fact checked to see whether she did actually say what she says that she said?

  14. To the Editor:

I'm not proud of the fact, but YES I am one of those Long March vets who bought Going Rogue and read it. Now, as for Ms. Palin's allegation that President Obama's Nobel lecture (or at least some of the ideas/concepts) are in Going Rogue--that's just wrong. I don't know how much Private Citizen Palin "flipped through" her book (and you HAVE to flip through it: no real table of contents and no index), but NO-THING in Going Rogue even VAGUELY resembles President Obama's speech.

I was disappointed with President Obama's speech--especially when you stack that lecture next to Harold Pinter's lecture "Art, Truth, and Politics" for Mr. Pinter's 2005 Nobel for literature.

In the immortal words of Margaret Hamilton: What a world, what a world.
