Wow!

Well it came as no surprise that Levi did not divulge anything new on the Joy Behar show.

But he did do a good job of standing by his statements, defending Bristol, and pointing out how often Sarah lies. Nicely done.

But the BIG story is that Andrew Sullivan got to put the ENTIRE wild ride story out on a cable news station!

Now I know that Behar does not have a huge following yet, which means it is up to us to talk about what he said and perhaps contact other shows so that they can cover it as well.

If we keep bringing this up over and over again, it should start getting harder and harder for the MSM to ignore it. At least that is my theory.

By the way it looks like Andrew DID get a little face time with Levi today.

Just a reminder that I'll be on the Joy Behar show on HLN tonight after Levi Johnston at 9 pm. Johnston, his aide, Tank Jones, and I had a fascinating chat in the green room. It was all off the record but I hope at some point to be able to interview Johnston on the record as a way to get some first-hand fact-checks on the Palin book and public statements.

Levi made a point to mention his book and it looks like nobody is going to get any serious dirt until it is published. Or about to be published.

P.S. I know that some of you are trying to leave comments and they are not appearing. Blogger is having some kind of fit today, and they are not getting to me so that I can approve them. I apologize for the inconvenience. If you need to contact me just e-mail me at Gryphen2009@yahoo.com. I will check that throughout the evening and hopefully Blogger will have things sorted out soon.

Wow! Indeed - I knew that Levi's interview would go that way, but I honestly didn't think Andrew would "go there" with such a vengeance.
Joy's show is growing, and I'm glad she's invited him for another interview, because Andrew Sullivan's message needs to get out.

Gryphen, can you give us an ETA on when Levi's book will be released?

Levi said, he likes to visit his kids, not kid!

Although I understand the perspective that if we keep bringing it up over and over again, the MSM will have a hard time ignoring it, I believe it is just the opposite. Constantly discussing this story without providing the details or any facts just makes everyone lose credibility. In other words, if you cry wolf enough times without real supporting details, it will have the opposite effect.

Geez, waiting for Levi's book or for somebody to spill the dirt on $P is worse than being a kid waiting for Christmas. It's like knowing Christmas is coming, but nobody will tell you when. It's starting to make me very edgy...

interesting that levi defends bristol when she won't let him see his kid.

makes me wonder about the truth of this whole absurd situation.

Levi didn't really say anything new--no suprise there.

I love it that Andrew actually talked about the batshit crazy Wild Ride story!

Joy may not have a huge following yet, but I would imagine the Quitter watched, or had her minions watching!

Waiting now, for the FB rant against Andrew.

I would think that it is time to offer a bounty for information regarding the truth regarding Trig. I am totally confident in the overpowering nature of human greed. If indeed Trig is not Palin's biological child, those who possess the factual truth regarding Trig's birth are sitting on a gold mine. Somebody will cash in and the first to do so is likely to get the most publicity and the biggest haul.

How much is that information worth? At minimum, there would have to be 2 or 3 dozen people who would possess such information: family, the delivery team, people involved with the adoption, etc. I know rules and ethics should preclude most of those folks from talking, but we are also talking serious money and fame (or notoriety) for the person that confirms this story.

  11. I think Levi said (re the Palin house):
"I was there for three years."
I do NOT think he meant that he LIVED there for three years - just that he was in and out for three years (he has previously said he lived there for a few months).
I thought I heard him say "kids" vs. "kid" too!
Let's stride while iron is hot - write to "The View." Joy Behar is one of the hosts, and that show has high ratings. Please ask them to discuss
"the wild ride" - in Sarah's own words - question HOW it is even POSSIBLY true....
    Contact "The View:"
    http://theview.abc.go.com/contact_us
No need to jump to "fake pregnancy"- PLEASE let the public come to this conclusion after analyzing the absurdity of the "wild ride" (just like most of us had to). One step at a time.

  13. THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU Andrew Sullivan!!!
Notice he never said ONE THING that SP herself didn't tell the ADN, so she can't do a dang thing about it. Notice how astounded Joy was,, and thank goodness she 'went there' and kept asking what do you mean...? Next stop, "The View"?? Will Barbara and Bill let her bring it up there?

    Popcorn, please!

If Levis lawyer is smart, he's probably told him to make no remarks about his childs mother until custody is settled.
Gryphen is Levis book being written now? does he have a publisher? any info on release date?

I LOVE Joy Behar and will have to check this out. However, (and slightly OT as I meant to post this earlier): I was listening to Stephanie Miller's show yesterday morning (Monday) when they mentioned Sistah Sarah's "birther" remark, and the fact that she turned tail alomst immediately and tried to retract it. I admit that at this point I was only half-listening, but then I heard Steph's sidekicks talking about the Trig "truther" movement--FIRST TIME I've heard this on progressive radio! The only problem is that the "Mooks" (Steph's sidekicks) basically pooh-poohed the Trig story as retaliation for the good Sistah getting involved with the crazy train of Obama birthers.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that WHEN the story becomes mainstream, can we expect this kind of reaction--even from those who are supposedly anti-Palin--and will it make a difference in the end?? While I didn't expect anyone on the show to suddenly start shrieking and pounding their chests about what a scandal it would be if it were true, it was a little discouraging to hear the possibility being tossed aside almost immediately.

  19. No, Levi did say something revealing...he said Bristol is the main caretaker of Trig and Tripp, and actually confused the two boys names when he was referring to his son.

Now I know Gryphen has said the Trig is not Levi and Bristols child together, but never said he wasn't Bristols and somebody else's. Regardless, it is obvious Bristol is the defacto mother in the Palin house.

Wow is right. I was beginning to lose faith because of the lack of people willing to come out with what they say is the "truth" about Sarah. I was even begining to believe her story somewhat because no one is willing to "come out", that is until Sullivan got on behar's show last night and gave me hope again that the true story may come out. I just can't understand why people do not tell the secrets they know. I began to believe that there is no secret because I am sure someone could sell the secret to the National enquirer or other MSM for millions. I cannot believe that one of you holding the secrets don't want or need the money you could get. I hope someday I can understand better why we have to wait so long to bring Sarah down to where she should be: Just a normal American with opinions and not the Queen of Heaven who can walk on water. I protested at her book signing in Columbus and was called terrible names and wished terrible things by her Christian worshipers. This is an evil thing that is happening and it needs to be stopped. I love America too much to watch this happen.

It can't be that Andrew Sullivan is the lone journalist trying to expose Sarah Palin's (many) lies. The Trig story is just one of many. He needs reinforcements so he is not attacked as obsessive about this story. Why can't Christopher Hitchens get on TV and talk about this? He wrote an incisive article about Palin in Newsweek (the issue with the "sexist" Runner's World photo on the cover). Where are the rest of the intelligent journalists who possess the credibility Andrew Sullivan has? Come on people! Accept the challenge Andrew Sullivan has laid down. Do your jobs and break this wide open! Don't leave him standing out there alone.

Levi is taking the high road on the mother of his kidS, and I applaud him.

Three years he lived with them?
Why? Parenting his butt off maybe?

Loved Andrew Sullivan. Joy needs to learn to ask questions and let the person answer - she interrupted interesting segments of Andrew talking for a joke or to get her own politics in. Grrrrr. Andrew was a gentleman about it.

Your ingenious plan to bury Palin is working just like you thougth it would Grypehn and Gryphogs:

    This from Today's L.A. Times:

"Lordy, Lordy, Lordy, look what the pollsters just brought in.

A pair of new surveys revealing that President Obama is still declining and has hit a new low in job approval among Americans just 56 weeks after they elected him with a decided margin.

And -- wait for it -- Republican Sarah Palin is successfully selling a whole lot more than books out there on the road. Even among those not lining up in 10-degree weather to catch a glimpse of pretty much the only political celebrity the GOP has these days.

First, el jefe. Facing double-digit unemployment, rising spending, deficits and Afghan war casualties plus a keystone but stalled healthcare reform effort that caused a rare Sunday presidential visit to Capitol Hill, Obama recently fell below 50% job approval for the first time.

Then, last week's deft dance of rhetoric over sending reinforcements to Afghanistan but, on the other foot, bringing them home quickly maybe gave him a brief boost. That, however, collapsed with equal rapidity.

Obama's new Gallup Poll job approval number is 47%. Last month it was 53%.

Regular Ticket readers will recall how in this space in late November we pointed out that Obama's closely watched job approval slide was coinciding with Palin's little-noticed rise in favorability. And it appeared they might cross somewhere in the 40s.

Well, ex-Sen. Obama, meet ex-Gov. Palin.

The new CNN/Opinion Research Poll shows Palin now at 46% favorable, just one point below her fellow basketball fan."

I haven't figured out the exact differentials yet but my estimate is every time Sullivan or Johnston opens their mouths. the President's approval rating slips .0016 of a point.

At the same time when you weigh in with another Palin "bombshell" or
scandal the effect is virtually negligible (+/- .000000004000342 points.

To put it in a visual context, imagine you're in the middle of the Sahara with a thimble. Every time you fill the thimble with a sand you're having about the same effect on the Sahara that trotting out a link to Sullivan
or Johnston has on Palin's escalating popularity.
