God the beginning of this clip is almost enough to make me spew.
Hah! He mentions her Hawaii vacation! I wonder what "same thing" she is talking about?
Now when you listen to Palin's response to this blowhard about her Facebook post, you can tell that she is not completely sure what it says. Listen as she simply puts forth a couple of vague talking points and does nothing to expand on what was written by RAM.
"I don't know, I don't know". Who else thinks that when Hannity mentions Janet Napolitano that Palin suddenly gets that deer in the headlights look because she has no idea who that is? There is a reason she does radio instead of television interviews.
It is worth noting that Palin's opinion about dealing with American security is to keep right on frighting in Afghanistan and other places in the Middle East regardless of its effectiveness or how it impacts the opinion of America in other countries. Once again this feeds into her brand of Christianity which requires massive wars in that region to pave the way for the Second Coming.
Don't you just love it that suddenly Hannity acts like the Senate is JUST NOW making back room deals where money is promised to certain states to get their Senators on board with their vote? You see he is counting on the ignorance of his listeners when saying things like this. The Senate has ALWAYS worked that way. My old senator, Ted Stevens, was a master at those kind of deals. That is how Alaska was able to receive more federal money than any other state for all of these years.
Wow, even after having it labeled the "Lie of the Year" by Politico, Palin simply CANNOT admit that her "death panel" claim is completely mooseshit.
And that absolutely reinforces what my source told me just the other day. What I heard was that "Sarah does not listen to ANYBODY" and that she always "wants to do things her way". When Sarah is criticized, rather than listening to what is said and using it to make a better decision in the future, she just digs in deeper and keeps right on screwing things up just to spite her critics.
Well if you made it through that whole segment than good for you, "What does not kill me, makes me stronger". If you could not make it through do not feel bad, that just means you are an intelligent person who has been lucky enough not to be subjected to enough "Palin poisoned talking points" to make you immune.
Now wait until you stomach stops churning and have a little something to eat. It will make you feel better.
Sarah helps Sean's ratings. Neither one gives a rat's you-know-what about facts, informed opinion or, bless, the state of the union.
ReplyDeleteHeard about 3 minutes of the shrill. I am a conservative mother, and I can't stand this woman. I call her the 'bimbo that breeds'. Now Bristol has taken on the sleep aroud bimbo badge and is running with it.
ReplyDeleteShannity should just go ahead and "do" the daggone thing....and get it over with!
ReplyDeleteSheesh.
*shivers* I couldn't finish.
ReplyDeleteShe. Is. So. Full. Of. $hit.
Yeah, it does come from the top down, Sarah. That's why Western Alaska STARVED for five weeks while you twiddled your thumbs.
She has the nerve to call Obama out on crisis management? I heard my president respond, take responsibility and then action. When did Sarah EVER respond to anything but a photo-op?
I was going to comment on Youtube, but comments were disabled. Typical.
She should KNOW who Janet Napolitano is. Sarah was interviewed with her when they were both governors.
ReplyDeleteYou know your readers well, Gryphen -- I couldn't listen more than halfway to that snake oil salesman and the puppet reading off their "Talking Points Manifesto" at either end of that phone interview -- and my stomach was really churning by the time I stopped listening.
ReplyDeleteProbably because I'm hungry.
I'm a former teacher and can spot Bull Shit whenever I hear it. That woman does not know anything but a few talking points. Sarah, go on Meet The Press and actually debate some of these issues. Quit hiding behind Face Book and one sided entertainment shows like Hannity.
ReplyDeleteHey Gryphen,
ReplyDeleteI read this blog everyday, waiting for this charlatan to go down. I know all the details you have posted, as well as other sites. Though Palin clearly has skeletons to surface, I can't quite get on board the Trig pregnancy conspiracy -though I am confident, that "the wild ride" story is bullshit, but this embellishment by Sarah is simply that. Her usual exageration to glorify herself.
You and the other bloggers have shined a light on the myth of "sarah Palin", but are you certain Trig is a part of this myth? I am just concerned that........well to be more frank, I love this blog, but I sometimes feel like I am getting my "facts?" from the National Enquirer, when the Trig birther stories arise. To me, the wench does look pregnant, and I can easily see Trig's disibility being part of the reason she kept it low key. Her taking a trip to Texas that late in her pregnancy, also understandable for the unknown governor, who desperately wanted attention to grab an opportunity to get a little spotlight and get out of Alaska. And Trig's birth story, pfft, Sarah just trying to be the dramatic heroine. You have no idea how much I want to be wrong....
I just had to vent that. I do appreciate your work.
Too early...no can do. I haven't even finished my first cup of java, but you know what, I've got a pretty good idea what she will say. She's pretty predictable in own little nazi way.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that countries with govt.-run health care all had death panels! That's interesting, because the United States is ranked 38th in the world for life expectancy. We are behind ALL other industrialized countries, many which have a govt. plan, like England, Canada, France, etc.
ReplyDeleteSo obviously people live longer in countries with govt. health care because everyone is covered and they receive good health care.
So Sarah...maybe having your so-called death panels is a GOOD idea, because it looks like people live longer in countries that have them!
I could only make it to about 5:33 before I started gagging. As usual she contributes NO specific policy ideas or solutions. It's all so simplistic in her world: what we need is a CIC who understands what terrorism is. WTF? That's it, that's all we need and everything will be better? Does anybody REALLY think she knows what she's talking about? I didn't make it to the death panel part, but I distinctly remember this during the campaign: after her "bridge to nowhere, thanks but no thanks" story was universally discredited, she continued to use it on the campaign trail at least 9 more times (wish I had kept the info to back this up). The point being, if something is "real" in her tiny little pinhead, there is no convincing her otherwise. It's called MENTAL ILLNESS.
ReplyDelete"Hannity mentions Janet Napolitano that Palin suddenly gets that deer in the headlights look "
ReplyDeleteI think the deer in the headlights look is because Scarah knows that Janet can out her on the pregnancy - BIG TIME! It's fear baby - FEAR!
Here's the link for a Newsweek panel interview of Palin and Napolitano. Videos and article wherein the Interviewer writes it was conducted on the day before Palin announced her pregnancy - the interviewer saying she had no idea.
This is also the same interview that Palin talked about all the whining the Hillary did and how it was a disservice to women in politics -- that from the mouth of the Queen of Whine - The Beeatch of the Palin Clan. For her to say Hillary should just work hard - come closer palin while I fix your face!
Anybody find the Clan's white hoods anywhere yet as they appear to have misplaced them!!
http://www.newsweek.com/id/156190
For the life of me, I can't seem to find a single instance where Sarah Palin has ever admitted being wrong. Can anyone find any links?
ReplyDeleteWell, I listened to the whole thing. What's my reward ? All I heard was America,Americans and oh, world salad.
ReplyDeleteSean is a putz too also.
I know that you are working hard behind the scene to bring her bullshit to the surface. God I hope it's soon.
This broad is clueless, accusations are being made about her, her kids, their parentage, her morals, her scruples & she doesn't respond. World affairs she can respond to. It boggles the mind.
Hey Granny Palin, you are a Little Leaguer trying to hit a homer at Yankee Stadium.
Give it up,everyone is laughing at you.
For someone who doesn't listen to anyone she sure does a good job of taking the neo-cons' talking points from Cheney and Bill Kristol. I wonder how they manage to "handle" her? Could it be the likes of them are the only ones she looks up to? Everyone else is just an underling? She clearly sees Obama that way. It puzzles me how the neocons manage to use her to spew their message of war war war. ( I couldn't listen, I can't stand to hear that phoney voice anymore.) Heh, I read a great comment at Bree's blog I think where a poster pointed out you can always tell when Sarah's lying because when she lies she uses that sing-songy voice. You should ask your sources about that, Gryph!
ReplyDeleteANON: go to palingates now for a series of photo comparisons. There is no baby in there.
ReplyDeleteJack Nicholson was lied to about his real mother who was his sister. It happens way more than anyone knows.
Mooseshit!
ReplyDeleteAnon at 2:43 -the question of Trig is just a tiny portion of what Gryphen writes about. It's pretty insignificant. I don't know why you would bring it up. Look at a history of his posts - they're mostly concerned with politics.
ReplyDeleteGryphen - you read me perfectly. I made it half way through and now it's time for lunch. Thank you for listening and commenting so we didn't have to endure the whole 7 minutes.
@Anon 6:43
ReplyDeleteBut here's the deal: if she did really give birth to Trig, here's a woman who not only makes horrendous decisions regarding her own and her child's health, but may be amplifying the story to give herself . . .what? Moxie? Stoicism? *cough* Attention?
So on one hand you've got a faked pregnancy to cover up goodness knows what, on the other hand you've got a woman so in love with drama that she leaves the state during her eighth month of pregnancy with a special needs child for no better reason than a *speech*.
At best, she is an irresponsible drama queen, at worst, she perpetrated a charade pregnancy on the Alaskan public. Take your pick. Neither one speaks of a person capable of making rational, reasoned decisions in the best interest of the public.
Bleh. I made it through the whole thing. I almost punched the screen when she was talking about Islam. "Evil beliefs...their God, Allah..." Someone tell the nitwit Muslims believe in the Old Testament and the Virgin Birth of Christ, and that Allah is the Arabic word for God.
ReplyDeleteShe is starting to sound old. Listening to her voice and not seeing her face, you'd think she was a woman in her sixties. A cranky, old-before-her-time woman in her sixties.
As for her bloody "war on terrorism," in the last five years nearly 100,000 Americans have died of MRSA; none have died of terrorist attacks. Seems to me our billions are being misspent and our fear is misplaced. Can we declare war on staph, maybe?
Oh, and Sarah, nitwit, my family's health insurance--like that of millions of other Americans--is paid for by the government already. You'd know that if your family was half as patriotic as you like to pretend. You see, we're retired military. And we like our insurance just fine, thank you.
Hey guys, have you heard Palin's audio book? Howard Stern played some *ahem* clips...HILARIOUS! :)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de1cYd5Zylc
FYI, the sea4pee main page has a clip of Greta van Cesspool discussing Granny Pee's FB rant with Karl Rove.
ReplyDeleteI was not able to focus beyond the point where Karl opined on the queen's "very interesting use of modern technology."
Gryphen - Sarah knows exactly who Janet is. Remember back in early 2008 when she and Janet were both on the Charlie Rose program. It's one of the most revealing tv interviews b/c is clearly shows Sarah WAY out of her depth while of course, Janet, who knew what she was talking about, discussed in an adult like manner the topics Charlie brought up.
ReplyDeleteThis is the interview that is telling on a couple fronts. First, while Charlie and Janet are in no way condescending, you can see the puzzlement in their faces when Sarah repeats her little talking points, esp when they don't address the questions he asks her. It's like they're confused and taken back, but trying to remain kind, almost like, "what's going on here?"
The funniest part to me is when Charlie asks Sarah about health issues in the state. Sarah has the total deer in the headlights look, she stumbles around and says something about, "...it's a really, really, really big problem.." and then looks desperately, pleadingly, helplessly towards Janet, who very kindly steps in and starts talking about health care in Arizona.
Oh, Sarah knows Janet alright.
Thanks for posting this. I have no stomach to hear Sean once again, create a little platform for Sarah.
I was thinking yesterday about the tale of the Emperor's New Clothes. So many have referenced that yarn as highlighting exactly what's going on with Sarah in the country right now.
But I actually gave it a bit more thought as to the exact players in the story. While we know Sarah is the Emperor and the fawning, idiotic masses are those Republicans who refuse to get their news from any sources other than Fox, the little boy in the tale would be steadfast bloggers. But the character who fleeces the Emperor and hence the townsfolk - the tailor - who is this?
I'll tell you exactly who it is: Rupert, Wendy (wife #2), Rush, Sean, Pat, Ann, Michelle, Glenn, Greta - anyone with a national audience who knows absolutely that Sarah is in no way a leader - but who sees an opportunity to use her as a puppet.
Thank goodness that more and more and more and more Republicans are finding their backbones and speaking out about what a catastrophic disaster it would be to have Sarah Palin near any real seat of power.
snowbilly said...
ReplyDelete"She should KNOW who Janet Napolitano is. Sarah was interviewed with her when they were both governors."
Maybe, but Sarah's short-term memory is only about 30 minutes, due to limited space. After that any information has to skedaddle to make room for the next vapid thought. This also explains why she can't even remember previous versions of her OWN lies!
Sarah probably thinks Napolitano is a brand of tomato sauce.
ReplyDelete643-
ReplyDeleteIf Sarah gave birth to Trig, then she spent months doing her best to cause a "fundie abortion",or miscarriage,by taking riska with her pregnancyPutting it in Gods hands by doing anything she could think of to lose the baby, including risking a premature birth of a child with a heart defect while on an airplane .It started with the amniocentesis that no pro-life expectant mother would have agreed to,fiirst because it had a risk of losing the child, and second because she would have no reason to do one so early unless she was contemplating abortion, the earlier the better.
Mocha,
ReplyDeleteBill Kristol is one of the Palin puppet masters that pulls her strings.
Fred Malek used to be one, he may still be, but I get the feeling he pretty much gave up after trying so hard to make her understand certain courtesies and ethics when spewing forth right wing talking points.
There will never be a shortage of puppet masters regarding Palin. Too many disgraced rethugs want their policies back on but can't run for public office because of all their scandals.
(I'm the one who can barely hear, so I couldn't listen to the tape). But I think from reading the comments, I got a pretty good idea that Palin had really nothing new to say. (Thanks Commenters!)
If reality ever does hit poor little $arah from Wasilla, be ready for a very dramatic public meltdown. It's bound to happen. It's only a matter of time.
Sorry, I can't listen to the Ass and the Ass-kisser without an adult beverage and it's only 11:48 AM here in Central Virginia. I'll have to wait until after 5:00 PM to stomach this garbage.
ReplyDeleteLaProfesora, and don't you doubt that Palin would've kept on repeating the Bridge to Nowhere lie if McCain's people hadn't told her to cut it out. She is that stupid and stubborn.
ReplyDeleteAnons6:58, 7:28, oh yeah - Sarah knows Janet. Thanks for the info on the Charlie Rose interview, 7:28. I missed that.
And finally, the look on Hannity's face as he gazes at Sarah Palin? It triggers my gag reflex. Sean, you need to climb up Palin's butt and be done with it.
Do you have the link to the C.Rose show?
ReplyDeleteI havent seen it.
Here is a link to the Charlie Rose video referenced above--Mrs Palin has not changed a bit, same old talking points and babble.Totally out of her depth.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.charlierose.com/view/interview/8736
Mocha, up-thread you asked how "they" are handling Sarah Palin. I don't think it's because she looks up to them. I think it's because they know EVERYTHING about Ms. Palin. Maybe a little blackmail going on, eh? She does what they want, they keep quiet.
ReplyDeleteUgh! She still refers to the President as "Obama" in this clip, which is disrespectful in my opinion, and as a Canadian, find this shows no regard for elected officials. The Administration was voted in, and she seems to forget that. She thinks she represents all Americans, speaks for them, uses language that creates an illusion that everyone thinks her way.
ReplyDeleteThis interview clearly shows she has no understanding, or specific ideas about what she's talking about. Why won't she specifically address the health care initiative that was presented and voted on. Why can't she discuss who and what this initiative is all about. Right now, isn't this first phase about creating a way to get access for the millions who are without health care? That's what's on the table now? Doesn't seem to care about accessability, but rather pick apart proposed plans that need more time, and it's not "Obama" that makes the final decision, which she seems to present to the public, as though he's a dictator with a gavel, and says, "it is written, it is done".
She needs to up her meds.
Sarah Palin = machine gun bursts of sound bites spewing forth from an unmanned fire hose.
ReplyDeleteSarah can't remember the points written by someone else in her FB posts, op/eds and her book. Shoot! She can't even remember the fathers of her children.
I have given up listening to Sarah Palin for the New Year. And it's so much more pleasant!
ReplyDeleteThe woman has rage and contempt on her voice. I would not subject myself to listen to her now, no. But I'll listen to her peddling her way up, it's incredible the change in her pitch and the sugary tone then, now she is just nasty, you know she is and she knows you know, she has come into her own.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to revisit the Charlie Rose interview with Janet Napolitano. As Anon @7:28 said, it shows how out of her league the ex- GINO is. I particularly like when the camera shows Sarah giving a dead side glance to Janet who was having a convo with Charlie. Sarah seem insignificant and ignored by the other two.
I CALL Bullshit on Sarah PAYlin. I think this woman just loves to hear herself talk.
ReplyDeleteShe goes on Hannity, knowing that she wouldn't be challenged and that Hannity would let her get away with whatever she wanted to say. He even led her a few times to make sure HIS point was made, and PAYlin just babbled on like a little baby. That pretty much shows the lack of knowledge and intelligence she has, and how easily she can be manipulated. She is definitely NOT a leader, but certainly can be led. They can get her to say or doing whatever they want.
Practically everything she says is just dripping with hatred, lack of substance, little or no merit, and with the shrillness of her voice, makes listening to her virtually impossible to follow let alone comprehend.
With PAYlin, it's either love or hate. There is no middle ground. Look at her polls of late, either you like her or you hate her.
And finally as a runner, she shouldn't have that damn cottage cheese on the back of her thighs either. I'll bet she wished that none of the photos from Hawaii had ever been shown. Too late to airbrush the photos now. (sorry I had to say it)
Maybe the perfect title for PAYlin's next book (God forbid) would be
"Going Gullible"
Teabaggers Guide For 2010
Off Topic, but please take a look at the story about Rachel Maddow being banned from the Tea Party Nation-- currently reported on Talking Points Memo. Their hate filled scree allows for no liberals, in fact, for no one who disagrees with them in any way. (So much for freedom of speech. That only applies when they are speaking).
ReplyDeleteThe way that Grypen and Zaki were treated at a recent book signing was nothing compared to the T-bag nasty rhetoric. When you read it, it will remind you of another group who openly displayed their hatred in Germany in the 20th century.
When the T-baggers ask to get their country back, it is obviously a country that will not tolerate any reasoned discussion of other points of view. Like Hannity and Palin, it will trade on talking points, empty phrases, and hatred. Please stay alert; these people are really dangerous!
Anon 7:28-- Those tailors (well, at least the male portion of that list) would rather their
ReplyDeleteEmpress remain unclothed. (ahem) Suits them just fine.
Sean gets a stiffy when anyone just mentions her name. I'm surprised he's able to contain himself in an interview. There must be a lot of ice water involved.
And she wouldn't know a policy idea or solution if it walked up to her with moose antlers on it. That's not her bag. Her schtick is still to get the testosterone flowing and throw in some code words, then leave them flustered and completely unaware that she said nothing of any significance at all.
And why wouldn't she keep using it? It's proven to be extremely successful so far. And no one of any public stature is "brave" enough to point out the fact that she is completely devoid of any concept of reality, intellect, or professionalism.
Perhaps in Nashville, the teabaggers will begin throwing their underwear on stage when she speaks, and someone in the press will have an opening to begin to show that she's really just the Republican's pole dancer. The Britney Spears of politics....right down to the poor parenting skills.
And btw, anyone who claims to have seen the photos of her "miracle abs" that can still disguise the presence of the "blessing from God" at 7 months gestation and still claim that they "just can't buy it" that she faked the pregnancy is either someone who's never even passed a pregnant woman on the street, or a sympathy troll. If the "wench" looks pregnant in any photo but the Gusty one, then she must be about to birth twins any day now. If she gets any thinner, I'll expect triplets.
I'm a cranky, ticked off Southerner this morning--and I have no patience for people who would rather live with their heads firmly ensconced in the sand...or their own ass. She needs to be exposed. NOW.
Didn't someone say that the Pee'ers were pissed off that Hannity was plugging his upcoming interview with Nicolle Wallace on the same show? I couldn't watch the clip to see it, but wonder what's up with that!
ReplyDeleteAnon at 6:43:
ReplyDeleteReally?? You look at that picture of Palin wearing a gray skirt and jacket with a scarf and you see a 7 months pregnant belly??? Really??
That is mind boggling to me. Truly. Also. Too.
First question to Palin by Rose was about education. She immediately segues to her memorized spiel about energy development. Wtf?
ReplyDeleteJust watched the Charlie Rose interview. WOW! What a difference between the two women. Janet was able to discuss each topic with knowledge and confidence, while Sarah, with the exception of her same old energy talking points, didn't have a clue what to say. Sarah let Janet do most of the talking. And what's even scarier is that Sarah, being obviously uncomfortable discussing many of the issues concerning our country, should have studied and made herself more knowledable, but she hasn't. She's repeating those same talking points yet today.
ReplyDeleteSarah probably remembers that Janet Napolitano was governor of Arizona, but she obviously has not kept up with the President's appointments. You can practically hear her thinking, "What does Napolitano have to do with this?"
ReplyDeleteI just listened to the Rose interview. Napolitano comes through as intelligent, thoughtful, articulate; Palin comes off as a glib, shallow--but pretty--idiot. Also noticed how she was mirroring Rose's hand gestures. She's got the whole charming charisma thing down pat--just not anything else.
like sunnyjane said, it's a bit too early for the adult beverages I'd need to consume in order to watch the clip. I have to drive today, and the two don't mix, ya know? ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe later in the day, I can handle a few minutes of it. Meanwhile, thanks to those brave strong souls who can look at it.
omg, I just have to share this sea4peer comment:
ReplyDelete"All I can say is that it almost seems an injustice to refer to Sarah as "Governor Palin" anymore. Despite Obama's claims to be a global citizen-leader, Sarah is clearly the defacto leader of the free world. There is simply nobody else out there...nobody else even close!"
Leader of the free world...God help us all.
Ha!!
ReplyDeleteI just watched the Chsrlie Rose interview from Oct 2007. The writing was so clearly on the wall as too how suprememly out of her league she was just being govenor. In the 19 minute clip, Janet Napolitano spoke 2/3. Sarah 1/3 of the time. Sarah turfed the ball to Janet 3 times. EVERY issue was converted into being about energy so she could spout her talking points on alaska energy independence...every issue!! Health care, Education, homeland security. In retrospect it is even funnier to watch!!!!!!!!!!
She probably doesn't even know the definition of some words Janet used like "Inchoate". Sarah also did her funky jaw thrusting manuever when nervous and did her magical sweeping hand motion when trying to answer a question she clearly did not know the answer to. And she kept solid eye contact (Hey baby) with Charlie, but he kept going to Janet 'cause he saw she has a brain.
Really this stuff is fascinating in retrospect. Too bad she was not vetted. As I said, the writing was clearly on the wall in this interview
comeonpeople
I am forced to listen to Hannity (Hate-titty) about four times a month in a closed car. His lies and hate mongering has given his show the name "Radio Vomit". I can't bring myself to listen to both the hater and quitter together. I would barf.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the adoration he gave Quitter and the word salad / index card / talking points she blathered.
[[insert shudder here]]
Keep pounding on her, Gryph. I can't wait for her to go up in flames!
What a beautiful day! Did you notice? Day two of SP saying things, day two of no one in the MSM paying attention to it. It must be the worst day of her life!
ReplyDeleteRe Lilybart: Eric Clapton was also, too, lied to about his mother, and...Ted Bundy, I seem to recall from The Stranger Beside Me, but I'm not 100 percent sure.
Sorry, Gryph, can't bear to watch ShamCow and her drooling admirer without an adult beverage, or at least a big ol' Fred Flintstone club to hit myself over the head with when done. But your post does prove that she has no clue what she's being instructed to spout, and no use for learning the basics of at least acting like she does.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that they keep hammering the bitter, numbed-out sheep with misinformation via the hypnotizing and clueless Mother Sarah (along with a backup chorus of Faux's idjits) is always amusing, but bewildering and maddening as well. Will the faithful feel betrayed when she finally hits the wall face-on? 2010 ought to be interesting--
Gryphen,
ReplyDeleteI will take your word on what she says and go by your talking points. just watching the words come out of her mouth as she LIES just raises my blood pressure.
However... I DID notice this. The picture. This looks like the same place that Insanity interviewed her outside once before. Is this GrandMa's favorite place for interviews. Is it her version ( in Her mind ) of the " White House Rose Garden"..? Look at that picture again.
It's probably next to the dumpsters and the employee parking behind the Fox studio, BUT that is about as close as GrandMa will get as far as recreating her version of reality and Her Rose Garden.
Isn't she also supposed to be pregnant in the Charlie Rose video?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the truth to come out
ReplyDeleteHow long is this charade going to continue? It's time for someone to come forward and have the courage to spill the beans on X-Gov. Palin.
ReplyDeleteWell, let me tell Sarah about some end of life counseling. Just this past December we lost my hubby's 97 yr. old Father and he got great EOL counseling. In fact one of his Dr.'s said this to the man: "J, you're in charge so don't let anyone talk you into or out of anything."
ReplyDeleteDamn straight and he did just that. It was appropriate and compassionate, something Sarah clearly doesn't understand. He had all his affairs in order and HE made the choice of surgery that unfortunately ended his life. HE made the choice for no heroic measures/no vents, nada. HE was the one that determined his own course. HE knew about the risks/options because he HAD that EOL counseling. So Sarah can KMA with her drivel.
My family benefited greatly from this EOL. It brought peace to all of us. As a nurse I appreciated the honesty of giving that man his options and letting him make his choice. I was there at the end and I know how much all of this EOL helped. Geezez, I despise this know nothing woman.
@mommom, thanks for the link to the Charlie Rose interview. Palin's performance is so revealing in the way she dodged the questions--especially the health care one at the end. If you compare that interview with the few more recent ones she's done, it's clear she hasn't increased either her depth of knowledge (about anything) or her critical thinking skills. It's astonishing.
ReplyDeleteI can't bring myself to even watch it today. I will need a glass of wine or two, or three first.
ReplyDelete6:43 - I hear you.
ReplyDeleteAs I see it, only one of these options can be the truth:
1) Sarah is not the birth mother of Trig
2) Sarah is the birth mother of Trig but he was born at some time or place other than her official story
3) Sarah is the birth mother of Trig and he was born at the time and place she says
I happen (sorry to disappoint some of you) to believe #3 is correct. The one thing I want to know is when Sarah's doctor first learned about Sarah's leaking amniotic fluid.
Sarah and her father are both on record specifically stating that her fluid began to leak the morning before Trig's birth while in Texas.
If her doctor knew this and didn't immediately tell her to get to the nearest hospital asap, then her doctor is not fit to practice medicine.
But if you research her doctor (Cathy Baldwin-Johnson) you find her to be apparently one of the best doctors certainly in the state of Alaska, and one of national reputation as well. She is considered so superior as a physician it makes this whole story that much wackier (as if that were possible).
So, her doctor would have told her to seek immediate medical help (esp considering her age, the DS and heart condition of the child, and her prior two miscarriages).
I think Sarah and Todd never mentioned the leaking amniotic fluid to their doctor. This should prove to anyone who is reasonable and intellectually honest, that Sarah lacks the most basic level of decent judgement and that her ability to be reckless is extraordinary.
It would be catastrophic for the nation to have someone so volatile and unpredictable in a position of power.
The Rose interview is interesting for another reason: notice that Janet talks about issues, thoughtfully analyzing them, while Sarah talks about herself or tries to make political points. She does this a lot; even when she's talking about the death of Curtis Menard, Sr, she's smiling pretty and hammering home her "I'm all about family values" BS.
ReplyDeleteAlso, notice that when Rose tries to pin her down on exactly who is stopping Alaska from "progressing" their oil, she can't answer him! He tries a couple of times, but she just makes a few vague references to "east coat elites." She needs an enemy, so she can look like a warrior fighting the good fight. Only, at that point she hadn't realized she needed to identify the enemy.
I want to retract my comment from Anon. 8:04 about SP upping her meds. I haven't a clue if she's on meds. I made this statement in jest because it's so frustrating to hear very crazy rants coming from a politician who insists on ideas that have been debunked; and, who I deemed at one time as being a christian. As a trying christian-in-progress, I am looking for a woman who walks the walk, not only talks the talk. The clip with Sean Hannity, as well as her facebook entries are always negative. No positive constructive remedial solutions, ever, just striking down, putting down, and it becomes an old song with her.
ReplyDeleteI grieve with my neighbors to the south, and hope for the best, and thanks to bloggers, they reveal the crazy phenomenon that is Palin, who is the most intriguing political personality that's come along this century. Hang in there folks!
If Sarah Palin had even half a brain that functioned only intermittently, she would realize that it would be in her best interest to really listen to at least a few trusted advisors, even to the advice she does not want to hear. Hell, maybe especially to that advice.
ReplyDeleteBrown nosing sycophants may puff up your fragile ego Sarah, but they will not help you succeed. If you believe that your incredibly faulty judgement has served you well this last couple of years, then you indeed are an imbecilic, narcissistic moron who will just keep stepping on the same rake over and over again.
Sarah, you are not too bright, but your antics sure are amusing.
It was me who commented on the Hannity/Nicole Wallace thing.
ReplyDeleteIt appears there are a number of pee'ers who don't like Sean anymore because he continues to have Nicole Wallace on his show. I don't know what she did to make herself so unpopular...maybe they feel she mishandled the Queen during the election and is at least partially responsible for the cluster foxtrot we all know as Scarah? Who knows, it could be anything.
Perhaps one of the trolls who cruises through here could shed some light on this for us. John Doe, are you there?
9:10 - comeonpeople - You're right. It's a bizarre interview, esp in retrospect. Want to know something even more bizzaro? The McCain folks cited how well she performed during this interview as one of the reasons they tapped her.
ReplyDeleteCan't make this stuff up (of course, I don't believe it for a second. She was never remotely vetted. They never once saw this, except after they were all in Ohio on That Fateful Day when they started to try and piece things together.)
Please, oh please, oh please, Nicole Wallace or Steve Schmidt, or someone on the inside, please write a book, and describe in detail what is was like the first 72 hours.
Like when you learned she actually was under investigation for abusing the power of her office by a joint committee of both repubs and dems; or when you started to learn more about Bristol's pregnancy and the baby's daddy and his family; or when you actually did review this Charlie Rose interview.
What was going on?
Did you start the blame game right away? Did someone pull McCain aside and give it to him straight up (ie. "we're going to lose. Badly. The only question left is just how badly")
That's the book I want to read.
(or Frank Bailey's - if he'll write one)
The funniest part of the Rose interview to me is when she talks about her "one and only son" - b/c it always makes me think of John 3:16.
What's wrong with a simple, "my son" - ??
I could only stomach about two minutes. I simply have come to hate the sound of her voice. She is arrogant and stupid, which is never a good combination. Plus, the disrespect she displays every time she mentions President Obama's name makes me angry. There is nothing about this woman nor her actions or opinions that don't make me angry. And just for your information Sarah, I lived in Britain for almost three years, and had excellent health care. She couldn't discuss health care in Britain or anywhere else in the world because she refuses to educate herself on anything. In fact, it has crossed my mind more than a few times. Could the woman be functionally illiterate?

ReplyDeleteI am not giving CBJ such a free pass. Even if Sarah did not tell her about the leaking fluid, CBJ is still "out there" as having said it is "not unreasonable for sarah to take two airline flgihts". Surely a stellar physician would run, not walk, to clear her good name. No, I think there is something sinister, meaning not on the medical up and up, in CBJ involvment in this saga. I have worked with hundreds of physicians in my career, and they do protect their patients, but NOT i repeat NOT at the expense of their professional credibility. CBJ involvement will be disclosed. More of us need to place formal pressure and questions to her. Perhaps her religious beliefs have clouded her professional judgement in this case. Sher may beleive Sarah is chosen to lead the free world through end times. If so, any role she can play, even if it is not honest, is okie dokey. Thats my take on it. No physician that has that advice associated to her name should be allowed to practice medicine . Also, too, she is NOT a high risk ob/gyn so she was way out of her league to begin with.
I do not but her story.
From Anon. 8:05: I did a re-read of my post. Was jesting about SP needing to up her meds. In case anyone thought I was serious, NOT. I do not have a clue as to her taking meds. But, in frustration, like many here, I have a hard time hearing the negative feedback she gives in interviews, facebook entries, towards issues. She looks at the negative, never the positive, never discusses in depth solutions, it's always pulling down, striking down, trashing others' ideas.
ReplyDeleteIt's like a kid stepping on an ant farm.
The link to the Charlie Rose interview is http://www.charlierose.com/view/interview/8736. It is extremely clear from this video that Sarah was completely unequipped to be governor, and that she was completely out of her league. In fact, she was clearly not even qualified to 'play act' as a governor for a TV interview – quite ironic , given her claim to have been a 'TV journalism major'. In fact, based on all that I have read, she was completely unqualified to even be mayor of Wasilla.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of her 'death panel' drama game (and that is what it really is: a guaranteed, homemade way of sucking oxygen and 15 more minutes of fame from the 'media' that she claims to despise), would someone PLEASE publish a more comprehensive essay on her own family's socialized, taxpayer-funded, medical care, revealing the dollar value of the benefits that are available to them. And also, too, revealing the extent to which Todd and Sarah may have benefited from his years of 'unionized' health care. Apparently, unionized or socialized health care is evil for everyone but the Palins.
Thank for the answer Chris. Yes, Nicolle Wallace according to Sarah and her ghostwriter was THE REASON for her fail with Couric et al. Gotta blame someone. Of course the Pee'ers dislike her.
ReplyDeleteLike others have said, has there been one instance in public of Sarah being "positive" (not counting her GO WAR! or DRILL OIL! chants)
"Sarah is clearly the defacto leader of the free world."
ReplyDelete----------
Are the peelanders serious or really that stupid???
Goodness gracious but she's not even the queen of her own castle, let alone leader of the free world. Does she even know who the leaders are in Germany, Sudan or China?
The Charlie Rose interview date is Friday, October 12, 2007. Does this coincide with the Bristol/Sarah New York City trip?
ReplyDeleteAfter listening to this a couple of times (couldn't follow along due to the incomprehensible nature of s'error's speaking style), I threw up.
ReplyDeleteNot a little.
And not in my mouth.
Thank you oh so very much.
I just watched the Charlie Rose interview. Jesus, he asked her about education and she started spouting about energy, eventually telling Janet if they followed her ideas on energy in Alaska, then Janet would have enough money to spend on education in Az.
ReplyDeleteSame old soundbites she used in the election. She hasn't learnt anything.
I also listened to all of the Hannity tripe. How dare she say that countries with government health care have death panels.
I am getting very pissed off with this eedjit from Wasilla.
No wonder McCain said she was an energy expert. She is of course. Regardless of the question, she diverts to her 10 sentences on energy independence.
ReplyDeleteSo, she had adjectives (a few), adverbs (a few) and energy independence in Oct 2007. Did the early vetting not even bother to look for available videos?
I watched the Charlie Rose tape but could not get beyond the first minute of the Hannity show. For those that did, thanks for your insights.
Anon @ 10:32 AM, are you late to the party or something? Your theories and suppositions and scenarios have been disproved months and MONTHS ago.
ReplyDeleteThe only source of information about the "leaking amniotic fluid" was from Chuck Heath. Now, HOW would that old troll know such a thing, since he was supposedly 4,000 miles away? (because Sarah Palin told him -- but she's the sole source of a lot of statements that have been debunked, disproven, or shown to be outright lies)
Dr. Cathy Baldwin-Johnson is a family practitioner who delivers half a dozen babies a year. She's not a neonatal specialist nor a special needs infant specialist. Her other specialty is the field of child abuse and rape counselling. THAT'S where she achieved her national reputation.
Wow. The level of ignorance is astonishing for someone whose every utterance is duly noted and quoted by the MSM. She is shallow, vapid, petty and her grasp of issues wouldn't cut it in a high school government class yet she is given all the time she wants by Fox and their coven of flying monkeys on their various radio shows.
ReplyDeleteI used to just be annoyed by her but I am getting nervous that the press holds her and Crashcart Cheney up as legitimate voices of dissent. They lost - their views were rejected and yet they command a lot of attention for losers.
tell me she won't be significant in 2012 - please!
Fascinating... I really try to listen to see if Ms. Palin has any real point to make at all, but in a few moments all I hear is, "...blah blah BLAH blah-blah... BLAH blah-blah blah-BLAH blah..." I find this ability to induce almost-instant cognitive disassociation unnerving, but it might help explain Sarah's popularity with her fans... it may some form of mass hypnosis.
ReplyDeleteAre 6:43 and 10:42 the same person? Or are there really still 2 people who have seen pictures and read accounts and continue to believe the impossible?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to assume that they just haven't had the time to read anything or perhaps photos don't show up on their internets, because there really is no other possible explanation for this refusal to accept reality.
I know it's very difficult for some to believe, but she really is NOT the holy mother of anyone, and although he is just about the cutest baby around, Trig was not conceived, carried, or delivered by HER in any miraculous way.
Give me a break. The amniotic fluid crap is the only thing that doesn't make sense? Really? The fact that she's missing at minimum 25 pounds of fluid, blood volume, fat stores, and, I don't know-- A BABY????--doesn't give one pause, but the real mystery is whether she shared the "leaking fluid" with the doctor is what is really bothersome about the whole silly mess?
I gotta have some advil with my double shot of "okay, whatEVER."
Still cranky in the deep South.
I could not bring myself to watch the video. I figured it would be more of the same, and after reading the previous comments, I was right. I stopped calling her ex-Governor Sarah Palin when she showed her obvious disdain for President Obama for no reason except that he won the election. I have no use for Palin or her sycophants and will do everything in my power to prevent her from ever occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

ReplyDeleteSarah Palin = machine gun bursts of sound bites spewing forth from an unmanned fire hose.
Actually, her speaking style reminds me more of intermittent projectile vomiting. And is just about as pleasant to witness!
"Sarah is clearly the defacto leader of the free world."
ReplyDeleteI think what they meant to say was "Sarah is clearly the verbally, emotionally and mentally challenged leader of some group of undereducated evangelical fringe nuts somewhere in small town Pro-America Main Street with those brave soldiers proGRESSin' our nation in wartime with old Glory, under the banner of abstinence, with two Blackberries, but she doesn't quite know what it is yet, and she needs to take a crunchwrap break to look at the frost heaves in the great wild state of Alaska and read somethin' put in front of her, since she reads just, like, you know, all the time, also, when she's not already busy lying or bending her flexible ethics or watchin' bristol pop out a coupla grandkids, and after that she'll find out and get back to ya."
Anon 6:43 & 10:42 is either a Palin or Palinbot. Ignore. Deflection again under a concern facade. Feeble attempt.
ReplyDeletehas anyone interviewed CBJ on tape? And asked her about the events of the pregnancy? Is she available in Alaska to interview?
ReplyDeleteGryphen - can you arrange a "luncheon"? Maybe ask her about her counseling work, then throw in a question about Sarah and the Wild Ride...
just an idea. If she's honest like others have noted, probably she won't come out and say something not true.
Anonymous 5:21, Andrew Sullivan asked me the same thing and I will tell you what I told him, "Cathy Baldwin-Johnson refuses ALL interviews".
ReplyDeleteI have tried, no go. I even tried recently to get to her through an acquaintance, no go.
And that, in and of itself, makes the whole "Wile Ride" story suspect. If she were willing to give a comprehensive interview about the pregnancy, she could put all of the speculation to rest. Of course if Sarah's version of events are true it would also mean the end of CBJ's career.
Essentially she will never talk.
10:32, is that you CBJ?
ReplyDeleteShe didn't call you at all, did she?
I can't imagine sitting though the whole interview with the lying shrill salad shooter and Sean. Sarah's coming down from the book selling ego trip, her ghostwriters are running free range, and poor Sarah, with the attention span of a gnat, hasn't read it yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to Pete Rose in the comments- I love seeing intelligent debate about real issues, and Janet Napolitano really is riveting. Sarah, on the other hand, not so much.
Defacti leader of the free world afrai9d not no one wants her but the few fundies and crazies and Gun nuts that abound. And I don't mean just people who have guns it is the ones that intimidate others with them and threaten others with them. Those are the gun nuts not most people who have and keep guns for protection hunting or whatever. The KKK people ect.The rest of the free world wants nothing to do with her
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I couldn't listen to the whole interview. I think it kills your brain cells listening to her. There should be a Surgeon General Warning *Warning listening to Sarah Palin can cause permanent brain damage and lower your IQ*. She is a slutty idiot, who sold her soul for fame and greed, bless her heart. (As the south would say.) Can't wait for her to sit down and shut up.
