Taking a tip from Sarah Palin, the National Tea Party Nation bans MSNBC host Rachel Maddow. Well they TRY anyhow.

This was on Talking Points today:

Please be advised that over the coming weeks, as the National Tea Party Convention draws near, we will in all likelihood be invaded by liberal trolls looking to disrupt the site.

Rachel Maddow joined this morning and we banned her 7 minutes after she joined. I have little doubt she will mention this on her show.

Per our FAQ's:

Note to Prospective Liberal Trolls: TPN does not tolerate liberal trolls. If your sole purpose is to join this site in order to disrupt the flow of constructive dialogue against liberalism, you will find your time here very short. You can and will be banned for being a liberal. If you wish to debate the virtues of liberalism (as though there were such a thing), there are many other sites on the web who will tolerate you. TPN is not one of those sites.

Tea Party Nation reserves the right to ban anyone for any reason we feel necessary to ensure the well being of the site and our members.

When they show up - ignore them, report them and we will ban them.

Thank you all for your patriotism and support!
Tea Party Nation

You know I am guessing the NTPN could save a lot of time and trouble if they would just have an IQ test for all of those who try to join their site. So if you score over a 70. you are simply not allowed to join.

"Sorry you have too many of them there....uh...brain shells...so..uh...we don't want you here ...uh..corecting our gramma..and such. Just take yore intel..uh..your..intallig.....uh...yore damn big ole brain...and git!"

But do you want to hear the funny? Rachel Maddow DIDN'T APPLY!

"I used to be an activist, too, so I understand the strategy of using the name of a well-known person to try to get publicity," Maddow told TPMDC in an email.

"Of course, this idea of me trying to join their listserv is completely made up, but still -- I'm flattered the Tea Party folks think I'm well known enough to help their cause," Maddow wrote. "I wish them all best luck with their conference."

Now that my friends is funny! Gee it kind of makes me wish I could find a group of teabaggers to mess with today. Hmmm now where would I find such a group?

Isn't this the day that the Teabaggers (a/k/a The Barracuda Brigade) are supposed to be messing with members of the third branch of government - and trying to get their ruling changed in the Bristol / Levi custody dispute?

  3. Toilet paper Nation is now in the process of banning the heck out of people. Plus they are deleting whole threads! LOL Paranoid much? They think it's a psyops thing. ZOMG the libruls are invading! LOL Morons.

  4. I was so confused when I read TPN was against Liberal trolls! I, of course, was thinking TPM. Nice to see they are creating a new american tradition - banning anyone who disagrees with you from your organization. How novel.

    Hint: Rhymes with "Weedom"

I am so proud, so humbled, and so moved: I just now joined TPN.

Let's see how long it takes the TPN Gestapo to figure out that I live in a notoriously liberal/progressive--and politically active--enclave here among the cornfields of central Ohio.

About the t-baggers (no, I will not call them tea party, I still like their original name, they had it right the first time).

The irony is that when they hold up their hate-filled placards showing Obama as Hitler, they claim their rights under "freedom of speech." But, asked to accept other people's right to exercise their freedom of speech, they are intolerant.

We just had eight years of "my way or the highway." Voice a view contrary to GWB, and one was declared a traitor. Yet these people utter some really nasty stuff against the current president; they let their racism show at every opportunity.

The same goes for the Sarah Fan Site that sounds like a liquid waste product. It is too bad that they cannot tolerate any other point of view except their own. Like their flawed hero, they cannot accept criticism.

It is worse than just having a thin skin and not allowing another point of view. When it comes to a judge's ruling that didn't favor Bristol in the custody suit, they act like children, throwing a tantrum, having a demonstration to protest the judgment, as if that is the correct legal procedure.

The good news is that the more extreme their behavior, the more the t-baggers and peepee's attract only the base, scaring away any moderate or independent thinkers.

I just read an interesting article at Huffington Post. It seems that the Secret Service is taking a serious look at some of the birthers. Orly Taitz found some of her "believers" at a machine gun rally, which attracted military types, and some of their comments and actions have inspired visits from the Secret Service.

It is good to know that the Secret Service does take these threats to the President seriously. The tea party people had better watch their language!

The teabaggers are fighting for Freedom of Speech! Mind you, that right isn’t for everybody, for it says in the Declaration of the Constitution that, “All men are created equal, but some are more equal than others.” They are exercising their GOD GIVEN right to criticize liberals and if you question that, then by God, then they will exercise their GOD GIVEN right to silence you!

Only a Kenyan, Hawaiian, or some other foreigner would question their right to engage in “constructive dialogue against liberalism.” The teabaggers merely want to freely engage in discussions regarding the denial of rights for others. Can’t you understand that it’s all about freedom?

  21. "If your sole purpose is to join this site in order to disrupt the flow of constructive dialogue against liberalism, you will find your time here very short. You can and will be banned for being a liberal."

I know. I'm wasting my breath. I'm preaching to the choir, here...
but I feel compelled to express it:

George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were liberals. The Founding Fathers authored the Constitution, which is a liberal document. Had those, then, young men not been liberals, given a damn about learning, knowledge and the value of education, America would, right here, right now, be a monarchy.

...as to the, "You can and will be banned for being a liberal," part? If those young men were alive today and were to read that statement, my guess is that they might have a thing or two to redress in front of the TPC. It might start out a little something like this:

Okay, you intellectually lazy fools, you eat, drink and sleep ignorance and love to wallow in and flaunt your stupidity...

...and so on and so forth....

And in conclusion, although you will no doubt lack comprehension of its meaning, we need to warn you that those who cut off their nose to spite their own face never know how really bad they smell.

Now, if you will excuse us--we need to step out for a breath of fresh air, because you folks stink to high heaven.

I do like Lady Rose's idea of tweaking with them. If the Wonkette people get wind of this... the floodgates will be open and the Dam will burst.
Are they against ALL women or just certain women..? Hmm
Maybe Michelle Bachman or Ann Coulter need to sign up... by somebody.
And speaking of Ann Coulter....Craig Ferguson had her in his monologue. Was she in a scuffle at the airport recently or did Craig make that up to fit the Joke. As the joke was told... he says Ann is against those ' full-body scanners ' at the airport. The reason why..... she doesn't want them to see her 'Penis '. I found the clip on Mox News. Maybe you could use it. http://moxnews.com/?p=226

  25. Gryphen:

I'm a regular reader and fan of your blog.

I'm also the mother of a teen with Down Syndrome and I have to object to your comment that "NTPN could save a lot of time and trouble if they would just have an IQ test for all of those who try to join their site".

People with Down Syndrome are developmentally delayed and in almost all cases, have an IQ of less than 70.

My daughter with Down Syndrome is a staunch supporter of Obama (and Kerry before that). She is most definitely a liberal, in spite of having a conservative father! My daughter insisted on watching the election returns right until Obama's late night victory speech from her hospital bed the night before she underwent a pulmonary valve replacement.

So please don't categorize the tea baggers with her. It is such an insult to my wonderful child!

  31. They should be tired of making fools of themselves by now, but they never learn. Each of the times that the WH has released visitors' logs, they've made false accusations and drawn false conclusions. One year after I lost my application to have the tags on my cars renewed, I had the clerk at the tax office look up my name in the computer. There were pages and pages of people living in GA with the same name. It is difficult for some conservatives/teabaggers to understand this.

These people definitely do not know Rachel Maddow. If she had signed up for the site and had been rejected, she would have made it her business to mention it on her show. No shrinking violet is Rachel Maddow.

So much for the big tent that Steele says is the Republican Party. The teabaggers have made it official. They are purists. No dissent/different opinions allowed. The head of Tea Party.org told Steele in a Fuchs Noose interview yesterday that he is not welcome to participate in tea party activities. On the previous day, Steele had followed Senator DeMented's lead and had welcomed them into the Republican Party.

Thanks for this post, Gryphen. It made my day. It has begun snowing here, so I'm going to make a hot cup of coffee and enjoy watching it fall.

  56. Haha, good show razzing the 'baggers as if they don't have enough mental issues already.

To resonance, something struck me as oddly funny and touching about your remark, not the down syndrome child part, just that you defended a down syndrome child in reference to tea baggers...think about it.

But yes, I'd like to draw the line between developmentally disabled people and wingnuts, developmentally disabled people didn't have a choice in their disability, wingnuts do and choose stupidity. So while I'd hesistate to place any child with DS onto the wingnut express ('cept Bristol's first child errrr...Sarah's baby trig) I would like to state that generally children with DS are more emotionally mature and intelligent than your average wingnut.

That being said, did you all hear about Sarah and Biden? It seems that according to Steve Schmidt, Sarah "Naylin" Palin was so lazy in debate prep that she had this odd habit of calling (then) Senator Biden "O'Biden". So her bizare behavior along with asking if she could call him "Joe" kind of makes sense now...(Rich Lowry saw "starbursts" in his pants, I saw a moron winking).

Palin is the ultimate anachronism. Bush was a drunken son to a very prominent family whereas Palin apparently was the pretty girl in class who didn't like "learnin' and stuff". She probably passed her classes by blowing half the faculty and a quarter of the football team (we all know the type, hell when I was on the football team I dated one just like her).

The hilarious part is that tea baggers are all peaved that the gubmint spends money on "frivolous" social programs and then they turn around and spend 100k so Sarah can come talk to them (she doesn't make speeches, she says whatever is on her demented brain at that moment). Kind of places the entire movement into perspective doesn't it? money for poor people to buy food= bad, money for some lazy snowbilly to prattle nonsense= good.

By the way, I'd appreciate if you'd all come check out my inaugural blog. Comments are appreciated and updates are imminent, thanks to anyone who does check me out.
