HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Today is the day to tell that certain someone that they fill your heart with joy and you could not imagine your life without them.

Hopefully you did not just give your partner some lame store bought card and a box of candy and figure you were off the hook. And if you did you understand nothing about romance or love.

Instead you should take them in your arms, look deeply into their eyes and tell them that you can see your future in their eyes. Take their hand place it on your heart and tell them it beats just for them, and that every breath you take is simply so you can spend one more moment in a world made perfect by their presence.

Remember that love is a gift which needs no wrapping nor ribbon to give it beauty, and if presented by one you adore it simply cannot be matched by even the most exquisite gems or expensive baubles.

So hold the one you love close today, for sadly love can be fleeting and it leaves such terrible scars.

I think I will spend today listening to my favorite sad song about love and watching my favorite movie about love.

Namaste my friends.

It is a made-up and commercialized holiday.

Don't buy into it! You should treat everyday as if it were Valentine's Day.

Like Christmas it just leaves the unfortunate or forgotten feeling as if they are missing something when in reality someone probably went into debt (the American way) in order to make that special someones day "special".

Be loving, kind and see the future in your partners and children eyes EVERYDAY!

I feel the media needs to ask the Cheney's/ Paylins of the world to outline and provide supporting facts to back up what they say...instead of taking the time of our VPOUS to tell them why Cheney talks like he does, ask Cheney....a third grader could do a better job

Shout out to VP Biden...we love ya...keep fightin'

    Happy V Day

  8. For my valentine, I made a slide show of pictures I took for my blog last summer, and set them to my favorite Ella Fitzgerald rendition of "Embrace Me." It's there for all to see and hear!

Thanks Gryphen for your blog that has given me so many laughs and thoughtful moments too.

I know lots of couple celebrating their wedding anniversaries today, too.

This song was responsible for my earliest awareness of a thing called romance.

Wow, Gryphen, that was beautiful, and so well said.

It's easy to forget that the blossoms of love require a careful blend of nutrition, pruning, and fertilizer, especially when we are bombarded by FTD and Hallmark ads which suggest a much quicker "fix".

Looking deeply into our loved ones eyes, and connecting with their soul as you suggest, is such a better way to connect and celebrate this most special day.

    Thanks for the reminder!

    Thank you Gryphen

I have tried hard all day to try to forget the day, but you really did sum it up quiet nicely. But in the end it was a great day, spent over 7 hours with my dad getting ready to watch the Daytona 500, but I was forgetting, I was spending the day with the person I love most in the world.

Man didn't that song bring back some old memories, but I have to say I have not seen that movie. Have a good evening and take care of yourself...Tewise

That song brought back memories! You're so right, Gryphen. Love should be nurtured and expressed all year long.

We did what we always do for Valentine's day.

We made dinner and danced to the song that brought us together in the first place
