Oh boy is George Lopez going to get letters from the Palin-bots!
At the beginning of this video, Lopez says "la cabrona" under his breath, which is Spanish for "bitch". So you just KNOW his mailbag will be full this week!
"La cabrona"? Really? So a grown man can go on TV and call Sarah—or any woman—a bitch? Just because she believes in things he doesn’t?
I wonder what the average age is of people endlessly attacking Sarah? What do you think pop culture is? Do you think Disney girls never have sex? Do you think Lady Gaga likes all gay guys? Do you think JFK and Jackie were a happy husband and wife? Pop culture is not a magic Greek garden where perfect statues come to life. Pop culture is full of real people, everyone of those people as imperfect as you and me. The people aren’t differentiated by their manner of perfection, but rather by what ideas they promote. What ideals they stand for. Everybody knows nobody matches any ideal. Neither on the Right nor the Left. But people are judged by the value of the ideals they stand for. Sarah stands for individuality, patriotism, family and the possibility of human happiness. Is she perfect? Of course not. Is she a Greek statue manifesting perfection of any of these ideals? Of course not. NOBODY IS. Duh. People love Sarah because she stands for great ideas, ideas we can all ASPIRE to even while we understand we will all fall short—because we’re human!—of attaining perfection. Remember Chrissie Hynde? “We are all of us in the gutter. But some of us are looking at the stars.”
Sarah wins and you lose because she’s looking at the stars and you’re looking at each other snarling like animals.
Sorry but Sarah has no ideas. She touts "common sense conservatism", but has not offered one specific idea. That's not leadership or inspiration in my book.

As for me, I think the saddest part of her entire story is not that she has been foisted upon the American public, but that she has ignored her children in order to gain D-list celebrity.

You see, to me she does nothing but make money and lift the spirits of seemingly uneducated people and/or religious fanatics. I believe in the Golden Rule and helping my community. I believe in taking responsibility for my actions because as you said, none of us are perfect. I do not believe it is ok to lie and criticize and incite others to violence. I also believe in the Constitution and can see it plainly states that there should be a seperation of church and state, no matter what "Christian" beliefs some think our country was founded. So no thanks to aspiring to Sarah's ideas and ideals. I am a real American and grew up with a father who served 30years in the army serving 2 tours in Vietnam, a grandfather who served in WWII and a great-grandfather who served in WWI. Palin is a fraud. Keep sending her money and promoting what a great person she is. It must give you some peace of mind, a feeling like you are doing something to help. I commented that thousands of e-mails were sent to MSMBC showing Tawd's hand in running Ak. Several bloggers wanted more info from me, and I referred them to Ak. sites. I said palin did the hand trick as a distraction knowing MSM would run with it and forget about the e-mails, among a host of other things, including the failure to claim, or pay, property tax, and the amount of property and toys she owned on gov income. Anyway, the next thing I know Baldwin's blogg is no longer up on HP. There were over 800 comments before it was taken off. I might have overlooked his blogg, but I do not think so.
I sincerely detest what Palin represents. I'm an AA female who graduated from college in 3 years, earned advanced degrees and worked in my field for over 30 years. Anyway, the next thing I know Baldwin's blogg is no longer up on HP. There were over 800 comments before it was taken off. I might have overlooked his blogg, but I do not think so.
ReplyDeleteI sincerely detest what Palin represents. I'm an AA female who graduated from college in 3 years, earned advanced degrees and worked in my field for over 30 years. I am deeply offended by the way Palin refers to President Obama, and Anon @ 10:48, I know racism when I see it. Palin is jealous of our president, pure and simple, otherwise she'd be able to offer some of those "common sense solutions" she talks about and wouldn't be so insecure. You can follow Palin and the others to hell, but I have different plans for my afterlife. What Palin really is I won't say since I refuse to disrespect Gryphen's blog. As Judge Judy says, "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining." Anyone following Fuchs Noose, Palin, and the other liars and hypocrites is a stone cold fool.
ReplyDeletePalin stands for nothing but herself. And lining her own pockets! If you can't see that by now, I sincerely feel sorry for you. She represent to me exactly what is wrong with our country. She speaks in a hateful disrespectful and unpatriotic manner to our elected president. She would use or step on anyone to get what she wants. Sarah does what's best for herself. Her idol Ronald Reagan would turn over in his grave if he heard her dribbling nonsensical words and her using his memory for her own political agenda. Trust me on this one-I knew him and know his family. He had class and treated all with respect. He would find Sarah to be an uncouth, inarticulate empty-headed oppotunist.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a single Republican friend who hasnt finally seen the light about her. Some took while but they all see her for the greedy fraud she is. She has no future in politics and due to certain pressures even her stint on Fox will not last long.

4:00 p.m. Majii. It is good to read your post. For sometime I have wondered how educated people feel having the likes of palin belittle the educated citizens of our country. I cannot even express the contempt I feel towards her when she attacks our president. My husband is black. He had to leave the rural area he grew up in in order to attend a black school in the 40's and 50's. (See the recently released e-mails and the extent to which she DID NOT do her job as governor - her unelected husband did.) Her race baiting of the teabaggers? As to your sensitivity toward Lopez referring to Palin colloquially as a bitch, doesn’t the standard recently set by Palin absolve Lopez? When granting an indulgence to Lord Lardass Limbaugh for using the word “retard” Palin stated that if was done as satire, it was OK. Limbaugh is not a satirist or a comedian, but Palin excused him. Why is Lopez, who IS a comedian not given the same latitude? Could it be because Lopez is just a little too BROWN to be allowed to say such things about Palin? Can you think of a better reason Limaugh can say “retard” some 36 times in a single show without offense and Lopez says “cabrona” once and is demonized? Limbaugh is a wife hopping, drug addled junkie, a racist, and a known pedophile, but Palin excuses his bigotry. Lopez makes a joke and you go nuts. Grow up.

ReplyDeleteOn another note, didn't she laugh on a radio program when Lyda Green was called a bitch and a cancer? Why yes she did. And she also laughed about Lyda being mocked about her weight. That makes it perfectly acceptable to call Sarah a bitch and to point out her physical imperfections. Turnabout is fair play Sarah!

It's kind of funny that the Palinbots are fussing about the la cabrona remark but not going anywhere near George's remark that Palin is "special needs" herself.
