I loved the expression on Beck's face (multiple times). It didn't quite work out for him.

ReplyDeleteOh Glenn thought he had his Watergate. All the right wing was pumped up about this interview yesterday, today they started to have second thoughts. Idiots! Jumping the gun as usual. But Glenn had to go through with it. First thing Massa says? No one forced me out. LOL, it was hilarious.

I am newly impressed with Mr Massa. He didn't pander to Mr Beck, or advance his previous claims of undeserved unfair treatment. He has won few points in Washington, but surely negative points in Glenbeckistan count for something!

Unfortunately, he doesn't realize that he ALWAYS wastes his viewers time.
I particularly enjoyed hearing Beck say "he apologized for wasting an hour of his viewers time"-- frankly, they should add that line to EVERY show!

Massa has resigned his seat in Congress. In doing so, does he relinquish access to government health insurance? This is especially significant since his medical history includes cancer.
If insurance companies were still allowed to deny coverage because of pre-existing conditions, he would be up the proverbial creek, now wouldn't he?
Oh, and by the way, just how much will his premiums cost him--this cancer survivor?
In all of Massa's insanity, he stated the most sane reality of all. Until there is campaign funding reform--nothing will change. I noticed that this "reality" was downplayed, if not blatantly ignored, by Beck during his feverish quest to smear the White House.
At some point, my hope is that reason will win out. Yesterday, Beck admitted that he had wasted his viewers' time. Now, all his faithful viewers have to do is comprehend that wasting their time is not the Glenn Beck exception--it's the Glenn Beck rule.

This is what Beck gets for relying on his shoot-from-the-hip, zero research, zero preparation style of television. Beck was flailing pitifully for nearly the entire show. Beck's staff obviously had not spent much time talking to Massa or else they NEVER would have given him an hour of airtime.
ReplyDeleteI've said it many times before and this episode proves it, Beck's ad lib talk radio show style does not work on TV. His lack of preparation is readily apparent in the amazingly high number of screw-ups which regularly pop up on his shows. A staff which included researchers and some real program planning would fix this. However, Beck is so arrogant, he simply feels he can bluff his way through life. He's not stupid, but rather incredibly intellectually lazy.
Beck is beyond arrogant and his own hubris is proving to be his worst enemy.
I REALLY enjoyed watching Beck squirm.

ReplyDeleteI cannot decide if my favorite part is where they refer to the liberal bloggers as the "Alaska Mafia" or the part where they contend that Levi is being paid by a billionaire to stay in the spotlight.
It is so histrionic and fact free that I sent it to my friends to read for fun.
Massa brought his xray showing the tumors in his chest from the recurrence of his lymphoma. Could he have lesions in his brain too that are making him crazy or has he always been like this? He sure punk'd Beck though. It's not even like Beck had anything or anyone else to go to where he could have cut the interview short and gone on to something else. The harder he tried to get Massa to give him something he could manipulate, the more Massa pee-d on Beck's shoes. I wonder if this will spell the end for Beck?
