Republican party admits manipulating its donors into giving more money.

Oh give me a fucking break! Michael Steele is not upset that his party uses these tactics to raise money. He is upset that the press found out about it!

The GOP has been using this practice for years. Whether it be gay rights, abortion rights, or fear of terrorism, these assholes have no problem scaring the ignorant people who still support their broken party into smashing open their piggy banks and sending them their hard earned money. Hey simply frighten their constituents into curling up in the fetal position and then pick their pockets while they are too frightened to resist.

Even ex-Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean is stunned at the lack of respect the GOP demonstrates toward it's own donors.

  1. A lot of their individual donors are Evangelicals - people who volunteer every week to have the shit scared out of them with the threat of hell and then they buy some temporary relief from their own fear. And next Sunday do it again, 'cause you know, they only bought a week's worth of protection last time. There's nothing new about the Republican party using fear - it's kept the party afloat since the New Deal, and they're not going to change now. They have nothing else.

Hey Gryphen... THIS caught my eye in the papers this morning out of Phoenix (home of sister's running mate)..

Looks like he and his party are trying to flash back to 1960 and suppress the vote trying to manipulate the result for their own purpose... Wonder if sister is helping out??

Hey, I'm sure Steele is unconcerned that these moron donors have found out about the ruse. I mean, come on, if they ALREADY were major donors to the GOP, how smart could they be? Steele simply assumes that they are too stupid to realize that they are being used.

Steele plans to keep going to that well no matter what. Let's see if they might be a bit smarter than Steele gives them credit for.

Just a little thing, Gryphen, the possessive is "its." Otherwise, you are using the contraction and saying "...toward it is own donors."

    I love the website.

I know a few of these donors.

They are egotistical, for sure, and not overly bright.

But they are (usually) bright enough to see that Sarah Palin is a total disaster.

I'm just waiting for the time that the donors (the rich ones, some with IQs over 100) totally bail on her.

I would guess it won't be long now...

The only thing new about this issue is that the contempt that the GOP has always had for its supporters is now out in the open. There is no way, now, for them to backtrack.

They reek of the very same elitism that they are fond of accusing the Democratic Party of showing.
