Uh oh! It looks like Mayor Sullivan has been a very, very bad boy.

There have been murmurings aplenty about Dan Sullivan and his philandering ways but nothing definitive enough to post.

But today cocky newcomer AlaskaWTF seems to have the scoop.

Well gee I was going to attend tonight's Assembly meeting just to see Sullivan's face when he was confronted with the two resolutions demanding evidence of a contract to prove he should have received that $193,000 payment on his father's pseudo life insurance policy. But now with THIS story breaking I would not miss it for the world!

One thing about Alaska politics, it is NEVER boring!

Update: I received more information that this story is gaining even more momentum, and we should have more details by tonight or early tomorrow.  Is there not ONE Republican in this state who is not a corrupt hypocrite?

That should be an interesting meeting.

Not that I am any wiz on life insurance, but a question that begs to be asked is.....

how are the proceeds to the family trust to be taxed? Normally, life insurance is not classified as "income" ergo not taxable. However, as we have read throughout this epic - technically, this was NOT an insurance policy.... may want to ask a life ins. agent or cpa.....

Hey, if I pay back the $193,000, can you make this new story go away? I don't want to end up like Tiger Woods! I'll even go to sex addict therapy. Would my resignation help?

Wow - and this is why people all over the world read Alaskan blogs. Not that their politicians are any better, but people in Alaska seem to be better at catching them in their shady stuff. If these stories pan out, congratulations Anchorage!

I think the whole flap about the previous mayor, now Senator Begich, was just a distraction while he slimed all over the city coffers. It was all a ploy. Hey, did he watch the basketball games starring Palin while she knocked gals out and did the bait and switch routine of passing the buck, oops, ball?

They sure sound a lot a like. Slimy, lying, creepy (have you SEEN Dan?) crawlers who have been hiding in Alaska, waiting to take over the world.

Well, hate to tell ya Pallivan, but we have your number. And it's going to be called.

  7. Oh it is panning out alright.

I will post links to the media outlets about to bust this thing wide open as soon as their stories hit the air, the blogs, and the newspapers.

When the dust settles Danny will not be able to get elected hall monitor much less Senator.

I wonder if because the state had a split tax system and it looks like the state would have been partially contributing if it were an actual insurance policy instead of a pretend insurance policy if that part of it was supposed to be taxed as income all along. But, I am neither an insurance or tax expert. The whole thing is fishy. It has been reported that the money in the trust does not go to Dan Sullivan, so that is perhaps why he felt what he was doing was not wrong, but as we have learned from Sarah Palin the republican definition of money that isn't their's has very small parameters.

  10. This is why I wanted to live in Anchorage, I would love to go to that meeting tonight just to hear Sullivan say, "I did not have sex with that woman".

I just checked at AlaskaWTF and there is now a photo and name for the alleged mistress and mention that she was hired for $7,000 as a 'party planner'.

If I interpret it correctly, this money was paid by the city.

BTW, she is quite a nice looking gal. Pssst, she is married although it sounds like her husband filed for divorce YESTERDAY.

She is very attractive. But what the hell does she see in this dirtbag? That's one of the reasons I was kind of glad to leave Alaska. For some reason, there were many incongruous couples- very ugly men with beautiful women.

Does anyone know how old Dan Sullivan is and was he born in Alaska. He is the spitting image of someone I know in Alaska. In fact he is the spitting image of that persons son too.

The AK court records have many Dan Sullivans, but one of the birthdates listed is 1960--that sounds about right. The woman mentioned on Alaska WTF is getting divorced from a man who is 28 years old, so she is likely near that age. So 28 yo woman with 50 yo creep mayor w/ f'd up eyes/soul.

I'm waiting for more proof but.......I heard a long time ago that good old dad was a philanderer too. He propositioned a friend of mine several decades ago. Like father, like son, I guess.

  23. I livetweeted the Anchorage Assembly meeting; my post about it mentions a little of what went on re: this at tonight's Assembly meeting -- no names mentioned, but it seemed to have something to do with this.
