Sure in Alaska our ex-half term Governor was a moron, and the majority of our politicians are whores for big business, but dammit our dogs are heroes!

From Huffington Post:

Anchorage Alaska-The video on the troopers' website shows the German shepherd running to meet the trooper's vehicle, then racing to the house on Caswell Lakes on April 4.

Troopers say Buddy and his owner, 23-year-old Ben Heinrichs, were in the family workshop when a heater ignited chemicals. Heinrichs told Buddy: "We need to get help.

The dog eventually found a trooper responding to a call about the fire.

Now THAT is an anmial who earned an extra doggy treat or two.

  5. I have a couple of German Shepherds (along with a beagle and bichon). The GS are the BEST, and smartest dogs out there. BTW, Gasman is right. You'd be better off electing your dogs. :-)

  8. Whores for big business? Really?

How about just POLITICAL WHORES. BIG BUSINESS supplies over 90% of the state of Alaska's revenue!! Oh, yeah, you do know that Big Business also are who provide the JOBS! Well, except in this state the government is the main employer. That my friends is NOT maintainable!
    Just sayin...

  10. Good boy, Buddy.

    I love Buddy.

That was a pretty long run. And pretty dangerous, a German Shepherd running in the dark. Someone could have mistaken him for a wolf.

While I'm sure Buddy appreciates the new bowl and any meat that may find it's way into it, all he really wants is a pet and praise from his master, which I'm sure he is getting plenty of.

    I just love dogs.
