Fox's "legal eagle" Megyn Kelly and two other female attorneys try desperately to come up with some law that author Joe McGinniss has broken. I don't want to give away the ending, but they fail.

I don't want to be overly judgemental but are we sure that Megyn Kelly actually WENT to law school? (Yeah I guess she did. AND she was the editor of the Albany Law Review?  Wow I guess when they say too much peroxide kills brain cells they are not kidding are they?)

Well since she has some knowledge of the law then there is simply NO excuse for this incredibly shoddy attempt to smear Mr. McGinnis by jumping to ridiculous conclusions.

Let's take another look at this picture that they so completley misrepresent.

Okay now this picture was taken from the edge of the Palin property.  As you can see Mr. McGinnis is all the way on the OTHER side of his balcony, literally only a few feet away from the property line, and as far away from Sarah and her family as his deck allows him to go.  Now the geniuses on the Fox legal panel make the accusation that he is looking through binoculars.  In fact he is talking on his CELLPHONE and had no idea his picture was being taken.  (By the way Mr. McGinniss  is a college graduate so I am pretty sure that he could figure out that he would need to be facing the Palin house while looking through the binoculars in order to spy on them. But once again kids, it is a CELLPHONE!)

And you know Megyn Kelly has a history of this kind of ridiculous hyperbole.  As some of you may remember she gave similarly poor legal advice suggesting the Palins go after your favorite blogger, and mine, just last summer. (By the way, and I always feel I need to explain this, the comments about "dressing my boys up in skirts" was a completely tongue in cheek response to rumors that the Bush administration was going to reinstate the draft and to news that they were lowering the recruitment requirements for the US Army to allow in people with substance abuse issues and mental health problems, yet they were still kicking out gays at an amazing rate. And I should also mention that my only biological child is a 23 year old female, and to be honest I could not even get HER to wear skirts after she turned four years old.)

Trust me Joe McGinniss is NOT going to do ANYTHING which would justify the Palins taking any legal action whatsoever.  He is here to write a bestselling book, and I believe that is exactly what he is going to accomplish, despite any attempts by the Palins to scare him off the story.

For security maybe Joe should give Mike Wooten free room and board.

After Megyn beats this story to death... maybe Hannity can use it as a new basis to call for Obama's impeachment.

Beck will see the initials JM on the liberty bell and say it proves Joe is taking away Sarah's freedom.

Joe.. stay safe and please dig up all the dirt.

The really cool thing is that if Sarah hadn't required the landlord to build that deck that Sarah later refused to pay for, Joe wouldn't have nearly as nice a view!!!! Karma or what?

This incident proves again that Sarah cannot be POTus. She does not think ahead. She has known that the house was 15 feet away, that she cannot control who lives there because she does not own it and yet she did not act or apparently even think about what might happen if she got a neighbor that she did not like. Any thinking person solves problems before they arise. Any POTUs must be especially alert for problems and try to avoid them.

Look how silly the USA would look if she carried on about something this insignificant, or something that had been so easy to avoid, in such an hysterical way on the international scene if she were elected. Good GOD Sarah. ANyone would have bought the property next door since it was so close to avoid any problem. this reflects most badly on her decision making rather than on Joe. Shame on you Sarah.

PS I thought Bristal was in fear of her life because their compound was so isolated. Now we find out there is a neighbor 15 feet away. Lies and tantrums. No substance in this family. Go away.

Sooo....when we were all kids and were learning that lesson about ignoring people who give us negative attention, where was Sarah? Somehow I get the impression that the Heath family has never been much into ignoring people who bug them. They are about dishing it out, not turning the other cheek.

This "legal" reporting is merely positive narcistic supply for victim Palin from surgar daddies (and mommies) at fox. Fox is protecting their very expensive investment in Palin by feeding her mental illness. Fox personnel are cheerful in their moral and intellectual abyss because they want and get big dollars to wallow.

Palin's facebook post on McGinniss and the hilarious hillbilly fence were steps in the right direction. Palin's handlers were NOT in control. The Memorial Day tweet mess and lame facebook pull-back also appear to be lax handler control.

What we can not tell from outside the Palin bubble is whether Palin's pyschosis is eluding the handlers or whether the handlers are relaxing the leash deliberately. Either scenario is just fine with me. Joe McGinniss's contribution is greatly appreciated.

  14. I am not a lawyer nor do I work in law enforcement. I do have common sense.
Where is a blown up photo zooming in on McGinnis on the deck furnishing evidence of Fox reporters or Palin alleging e syed with binoculars? Where are the police reportss the Palin's filed due to actual peeping, spying, stalking activities? Where are the "continued hit pieces?". To my knoweledge McGinnis wrote two unfavorable pieces.
Have the other people who bid in the auction been accused of "stalking"? Has it been investigated if any bidders also attended book signing tour?
Who received thousands of emails and death threats consequential to Palin posting her concerns, allegations of voyeurying children, used recording device (camera)? Palins or McGinnis? Who went public, radio, tv that resulted in harm, threats of bodily harm to whom?
Who contacted and gave permission to ABC to use recording devices from the lake, the Palin property and to go on the rental property? Who is guilty of invasion of privacy using recording devices inclusive of cameras and microphones that they solicited? Did ABC barge in or first contact the Palins?

By definition of the laws for criminal and civil suits Fox presented, if I was a juror the Palins would be guilty both civilly and legally of "stalking" as defined by the law.

How did the Palins handle the situation they allege was "going to happen"...for no one is guilty of acts they have not committed. Yet persons who commit the acts as defined by law as civil and legal crimes need to be held accountable. Where are emails harassing the Palin's from Joe, the "ongoing harassment" they accuse him of, threatening letters.Did the police search Joe's house finding the alleged binoculars, recording devices..evidence of sexual perversions..the Palin's nationally ave alleged e intends to commit sexual offenses?

  15. Another misrepresentation: the deck does not overloo from the Palin'sk the Palin's kitchen window.

I detect rage, venemous rage as if they are victims to erect a more private fence, ever draw their blinds, be responsible for their privacy like any one else living in a neighborhood. Oops, they lied under oath they live in an isolated area "middle of no where" so it makes sense they'd be angry as if it's Joe's fault they got caught in their lies under oath to tell the truth! How dare Joe humiliate them therefore he deserves a heavy dose of veiled accusations of pedophilia voyeurying and "hit pieces". Now, in Palin world Joe must be punished for what the Palin's have done. O my, ppoor Sarah Palin..poor Trig...can't be in danger of lawnmower rocks taking an eye out or worse! The Palin's must have alot to hide.

These women are just some of the enablers who have contributed to perpetuating Palin's nonsense.
Of course, FOX Noise has a long list of enablers of Palin's psychotic behavior. If she goes off the deep end about something as trivial as having a neighbor she doesn't like, she is not only providing a poor example for her kids to follow in similar situations. She is also the one subjecting them to unwanted attention with her ugly, unfounded accusations about McGinnis spying on them. What she would have faced here in Washington, DC, would be at least 100 times worse. The Palin family sideshows would have been an undesirable distraction, and the rest of the world would have looked at this country as a never-ending source of laughter.

She is impulsive, immature, and just plain dumb. The women in this video are just as stupid as she is, and their unwarranted sympathy for a woman who keeps digging a hole for herself reflects just as poorly on them as it does on her. Has it occurred to any of them that McGinnis would have been on solid ground if he had decided to lodge complaints against the Palins and their human pit bulls like Glenn Beck for threatening to harm him?

Recovering addicts next door for three years- no problem. Meth lab in the basement of the house next door- no problem. Secret Service next door during 2008 campaign- they really had to watch the Palins and listen to everything- no problem. Levi living in the Palin house- no problem regarding Willow and Piper.

One legitimate writer known for doing good background research on his subjects- freak out!

Sarah is so busy playing the victim and calling attention to herself that she forgets how stupid it looks. She could never hold any kind of high political office where she would be subject to even more scrutiny. By playing the victim and acting crazy, she diminishes any value that her political endorsements might have had. Speeches- oooh, it's that crazy lady, she will be sure to attract attention!

  23. I emailed Kelly@foxnews.com re: erroneously reporting the deck. I linked to the ABC video corruborating the deck does not "overlook the kitchen". I copied a photo of the front of the rental house which clearly shows the deck was not built to the edge of the house next to the Palin's house. I also copied an aerial view of the Palin compound that the Palin's have more property to ensure their privacy instead of confining the children to the fifteen foot space between the houses. As I looked at the aerial photo, considered the BS about how the Palin's won't be able to go outside at their own home I started laughing at how ludicrous this is albeit their right to their discomfort at McGiniss's proximity. Wow, the need to control and say things, publish one photo misrepresenting physical facts to recruit people to intimidate and drive Joe off speaks a thousand words.

It is true, it is not so much what happens, but one's response to it. Given the Palins' response and actions (which others limit to so what they only built a fence)it's a good thing neither she nor Todd are in a governing position.

Ms. Kelly went too far reporting on hypothetical and alleged future crimes void of what has actually transpired on both parties parts.

Golly gee, I'd love to see pics of the children's play area between the fence and the house next to the storage sheds and the garden!
It may be an inconvenience for Sarah to not mow part of the lawn but they have a hell of alot of property for her to tend to out of view in the nude if she chose.

Joe McGinniss wrote an article that riled the former shadow gov and former employee of Bristish Petroleum, Todd of BP. The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman covers the Palin's ass in a tricky way and can get by with that in Wasilla, Alaska. But it is not enough.Others carry on the tricks and lies to smear a respected author.

The working title for the book McGinniss is working on is "Sarah Palin's Year of Living Dangerously" and according to the San Francisco Sentinel:
McGinnis, who Mrs Palin described as a “twisted” and “yellow” journalist, normally hails from Massachusetts.
The forthcoming book will not involve muckraking, and isn’t going to be particularly intrusive, they claimed. Instead, it will “examine Sarah Palin’s significance as both a political and cultural phenomenon and as an embodiment of the contradictory forces that shaped Alaska as it moved into its second half-century of statehood.”
McGinnis is “well regarded for his in-depth, up-close reporting,” they added, promising that the author, who has written several real-life crime novels “will be highly respectful of his subject’s privacy as he investigates her public activities”.
The Palin family has yet to be convinced, though. McGinnis is also a committed environmentalist who has written books condemning oil and gas exploration in Alaska, and is particularly critical of the energy policy Mrs Palin pursued as Governor.
So they suspect a hatchet-job is in the works.

The book is to examine Palin's significance as both a political and cultural phenomenon, the Palin's are buying that. What do they do? JUST MAKE THINGS UP AND HAVE THEIR FRIENDS HELP SMEAR HIS REPUTATION!

But wait! Is Professor Brinkley on to something? Remember that tiny article in the National Enquirer last summer that reported how devastated Sarah was when she thought you were having an affair? Those are trial balloons my dear and only an introduction to your future hell. They rate people's sympathy toward Sarah and in this case, you lose. Sarah is going to drop you like, well, like a piece of fruit handled by a Black person. And, you will never know its coming.

Who could it be?--Franklin Graham maybe?..His wife is getting a little long in the tooth.... What a great Christian team that would make!!! The adulation is intoxicating.

And you will be left fighting her words over yours in every paper in the US.

I am actually getting pissed at you right now for violating her love and trust!! Why would you do that to Trig???

Anyway, Whomever she chooses will provide her a great divorce attorney. You won't get a dime. No wait, maybe 500k as long as you sign an agreement never to discuss her again, thus ending the gravy train. However, that wont last long because you have to pay child support!! Chuckles will be reporting to everyone what a horrible Dad you are. Unless, Sarah insists that Mr. X adopts the kids so you will be out of the picture forever...
