From Mediaite:
Here are the key moments from their live blog:
8:28: J.R. Hoeft: Sekulow introducing Palin – applauding her discipline and decisiveness.
8:29: Brian K: Sarah Palin hits the stage to a standing o
8:31: Brian K: Sarah cheers the Lady Monarchs. Good choice
8:34:J.R. Hoeft: We’re being kicked out. So much for transparency.
The comments on the blog quickly turned into a fight between conservatives who like Palin and assumed that the bloggers broke some rules and those that defended the writers. Eventually, Bearing Drift’s J.R. Hoeft gave his version of the events.
Rude? We were at the event at the request of the event’s organizers.
Then, with no warning, as soon as the speech began, it was “lights out” for us and all I was doing was taking a couple photos and live-blogging the event.
Other media were present taking notes and there were cameras all over the Convocation Center.
We were told at the beginning we could live-blog and take photos, just not stream or record the speech in its entirety – and I had no problem with that policy.
However, I will say this, if she plans on running for president, she ought not to be concerned about a couple of former pro-Palin bloggers!
See? Dennis and I are not the ONLY bloggers who get kicked out of Palin events!
What a perfect follow up to my post from yesterday. And some people thought I was exaggerating Sarah Palin's thin skin and rampant paranoia! Hah!
I do believe this story will have me smiling all day long.
Paranoia usually starts wars.
ReplyDeleteThe media should walk away from her and give her no more visibility.
When no one hears from her for a year, she'll be forgotten.
Oh my Gryphen.
ReplyDeleteTypical Palin.
You know, there are so many low information voters who ultimately have caused this country so much pain. Sarah is along the lines of George W Bush. If people had looked at his adult life they would have seen that he failed in absolutely everything that he did. The ring gets handed to incompetents and they still can't do the right thing.
I absolutely believe that there might be a few well meaning pro-Palin supporters that have absolutely no idea who she is. But that's their fault. You have only to hear her speak (oops--not so much, huh conservative bloggers?) to know she's got nothing. Most of the support for this no nothing is Obama Derangement Syndrome. These people would absolutely pick a drooling, trashy idiot in a short skirt as long as it was white and waved a christian banner with a gun on it.
Three years ago this nightmare would have been laughed off the stage.
Now most people laugh at her in the wings and let her finish her babbling to ovations. The more Sarah is out there the more afraid she gets, the more power mad she gets and the more delusional she gets. Remember she wants to ride this train until there's no more money in it for her. And now that corporations can fund candidates—well let's just say Sarah will be on her knees servicing Big Oil and Rupert until they tell her to stop.
I love when deluded people see through the cheap facade of the Palin creature. With all of the money behind her--this woman still has borderline intelligence and definitely a sociopathic personality.
Feeling the love yet former pro-Palin bloggers?
"This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault."
ReplyDeleteRobert M. Hutchins
That woman is an idiot.
ReplyDeleteWhat does this have to do with the missing baby "Ruffles"?
ReplyDelete@ angela: The best quote about GWB was that he was born on third base and he thought that he had hit a triple.
ReplyDeleteSarah cannot face an open microphone to answer a question because in the back of her mind, it is all one Katy Couric gotcha moment. She hasn't studied; she isn't prepared, and she knows that she can't bluff any more. She wasn't that bad in the Zaki interview, but she has gone downhill since then.
She also lives in fear of someone taping another speech. Look what they did to her in California, fact checking Reagan and Eureka College, and making fun of her.
Think Progress had a 5 minute clip of her speech in Tyler, TX where Sarah referred to the United States as "this most exceptional country in the nation." Shades of GWB foot-in-mouth disease. Yes, it was nothing more than an innocent slip of the tongue, but Sarah does not practice her $100,000. speeches; she reads them. Her delivery is becoming increasingly frantic; she mispronounces words (de Cokeville for de Tocqueville).
Paranoia! How many body guards did Sarah have in her entourage in California? Try and get near her now, with those big guys ready to take down your license number and fix your clock.
So these guys are now "former pro-Palin bloggers" because they got kicked out? Do you see how shallow these people are? No sympathy here.
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA!!! That was awesome.
ReplyDeleteGet it yet, Palin supporters? It is ALWAYS about Palin and ONLY about Palin.
She can't have anyone see thru the thin veil of her deception. She's throwing sequins in your eyes to distract from her lack of....anything.
Yeah, you guys are right, she COULD study. It's not hard to memorise a couple of facts here and there and build it up. It's the minimal amount of prep - but Palin is SO LAZY and SO ARROGANT, she doesn't even do that! She knows people come to worship her, they don't care what gibberish comes out of her mouth! And she is right.
It's a sad day in America when laziness & stupidity is not only celebrated but encouraged.
Did you see how the C4P people rushed to her defense? As if Palin were some poor withering flower! HA HA HA!
ReplyDeleteI tell you, Palin could literally be caught with her hand in the wallet of these C4P people and they would find an excuse for it. Delusional!
I love how in an instant the C4P peeps just TURNED on Bearing Drift (just like their dear Sarah). Welcome to under the bus, fellas! Plenty of room. And oh - get ready to be smeared as liberal/Democrat spies. It's coming - count on it.
Alexis de Cokeville?! Priceless. I believe his homeboys called him Cokey D. Her book, America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag, debuts in November. I wonder how many "de Cokeville" quotes she'll have.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she'll include this famous quotation: "I know of no country in which there is so little independence of mind and real freedom of discussion as in America."
Well said, Cokey.
lmao anon 7:09. cokey d, that was good.
ReplyDeletethis post is yet another example of how sarah "DO YOU LOVE YOUR FREEDOMS" is a total freaking hypocrite. to go on and on about freedoms and freedom of speech, while you kick out bloggers covering your event is just perfect. what's absolutely stunning is that her followers don't even see it, when it could not be any more obvious. gawd we've got some dumb shits here.
If Sarah is serious about 2012 she cannot rely totally on Fox and the miriad Repo talking heads to do her campaigning for her. She'll be preaching to the choir and her opponent with press in tow will get most of the coverage. There is almost 2 full years of presidential campaigning, eventually most people will realize that to candidates who talk to the media, allow access to the media, and address citizens who oppose their views and talk to those citizens rather than shun them, eventually most folks will figure who is best able to deal with complex problems.
ReplyDeleteThe danger is in Repo Cheating, they got puppets like Nixon, Reagan and the two Bush's in by doing things like subverting peace talks, selling arms to an enemy, artifically lowering gas prices, and flat out cheating. They can get an oiled pelican into the WH if the spineless Dims don't fight election related cheating.
Even with the ruckus about the CSU speech, the contract negotiations - creative students conducting research - the Attny Gen. getting involved.... Now that the "event" is over, the speech is done, perhaps the fence will come down and allow students campus access again.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they feel the $93K was worth it?
Apparently, it raised more money than it spent
(creative bookkeeping). The speech was not notable nor memorable, not moving (roller coaster ride), or insightful, or even accurate. Am sure we won't hear it at High School Speech events, altho it may be heard in Speech classes!
Palin was forced to allow the media at CSU, and will again deny all media while blaming her poor performance as their fault.
Did anyone notice (or care) that in the video of her Tyler Oil Palace speech, she appeared extremely thin? In Tyler, she was flat-chested once again even though it's only been a couple of weeks since the silly display at the Belmont. No more boobs, no more butt enhancements. Anybody but me notice that?
ReplyDeleteI'm convinced that she's on drugs. Her behavior is becoming more bizarre by the day. I don't believe that she has any intention of running in 2012 but also, too, believe that she's going to keep up the charade to rake in as much money as possible until the well runs dry.
Her speeches used to contain at least a few references to Chucky. Didn't hear him mentioned in the CSU speech. I think he's in the dog-house since his "Sarah doesn't make the decisions" remark.
We're witnessing a melt-down whether it's from drugs or mental illness or both. Her decision-maker that Chucky referred to has either lost control of her or is as crazy as she is.
Keep talking Sarah. I love it.
It seems that the empty-vessel, "good ol' boy", sock puppet experiment that wore thin with Bush the Lesser is now beginning to wear thin with Sarah the Grifter--and that, coupled with the ever-snowballing pack o' lies, is catching up with her. So difficult for someone with even a speck of normal intelligence to keep up with it all!
ReplyDeleteI'll say it again--karma is a REAL bitch, Sarah honey. Bless your heart. Paranoia will destroy ya.
Love and knishes....
Freedom Fest 2010, Sarah Palin and her daughter, Willow Virginia
ReplyDeleteThis is the big enchilada. It is all for Trig, all about Trig. Her servant heart will pour forth like never before. Too bad reporters will be sent to Siberia if they report.
The event is to encourage and help churches to expand their ministry to include special needs members of the community.
Palin agreed to appear, in part, because she has a son with Down syndrome.
Sarah Palin's Norfolk speech from Freedom Fest in full - video and audio
ReplyDeleteBefore you click on the Youtube video below you need a couple of warnings. One - the video is nearly 28 minutes long and follows her speech wall to wall from "hello" to "God Bless the U.S.A." But the battery ran low so I wasn't able to capture the quick question and answer session at the very end.
Ted Constant Convocation Center kicked conservative bloggers from prominent partisan site Bearing Drift out the rally right when Palin took the stage. More on that later.
Freedom Fest with Palin, Allen, Sekulow, North, Greenwood, and Rigell!
If you want to skip through here's a quick hit cheat sheet.
4:15 - military and defense spending
8:33 - the Bush years vs. Obama
10:01 - "War on terror"
13:46 - Israel vs. the Turkish flotilla
14:20 - lamestream media
17:15 - Obama bowing to dictators on a "worldwide apology tour
18:15 - North Korea and South Korea
24:00 - "I say not just no but hell no."
24:50 - November midterm elections vital - need to change administrations
26:20 - Military a force for good in the world
Hilarious!
The bloggers may have gotten kicked out but they haven't achieved the status of making the Palin enemies list complete with license plate info and photo identification.
ReplyDeleteSarah's paranoia and misinterpretation of the 1st Amendment:
“If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations, then I don’t know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media.”
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/10/palin-fears-med.html
And she still doesn't get it:
"I think it's appalling and a violation of our freedom of the press."
—Speaking about the negative media coverage of Republican congressional candidate Vaughn Ward, Boise, Idaho, May 21, 2010
http://www.slate.com/id/2253337/
Can you imagine what this woman would do if she ever held the power of the office of President of the U.S.?
Haley - Thanks for the link to the 11alive.com article on Palin's speech in Atlanta tonight. The organizer didn't admit it but he may lose his shirt.
ReplyDeleteReasons why the $25-$65 tickets weren't selling and the need to slash the price in half:
""I think if somebody could be too popular, it may be Sarah Palin," says organizer David Glover."
It would have sold out "if it had been a political rally" instead of a Christian ministry fundraiser.
"It's been one of those things that people just assume that the event is sold out because of all the folks we have there, but it's not."
She'll be giving the tear-jerker account of her 7th pregnancy again. Oh, I do hope someone is able to film it so we can hear this version of the story.
Doesn't this woman EVER stay home ?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteWhy was she so worried about Joe McGinnis, she's never there !
How many license plate numbers will she run out and jot down tonight ?
Thanks Anon 8:25 for the mention of possible butt enhancements used by SP in California. They looked impossibly round and prominent to me, too. I think she has lost a lot of weight, but thin does not always equal toned. When she needs curves, I think she uses padded bras and briefs.
ReplyDeleteI know, somewhat petty observations, but they are indications of the true state of her health and the lengths she will go to prop up her fading looks.
