There have been a lot of theories about how this sudden change in Levi's relationship with the Palins took place. Was it organic, and the he and Bristol simply fell back in love? Was it some strategy on his part to get close to the original source of his "fame". Is Sarah behind this and simply using her daughter to keep Levi under control while she plans for her 2012 Presidential run?
One of those, all of those, or none of those may in fact be the truth.
However there are some other additional facts.
Sources confirmed that as recently as two months ago Bristol Palin and Ben Barber were still seeing each other.
Five weeks ago Mercede was called in to give a deposition for Levi and Bristol's custody case. During that deposition Thomas Van Flein's goal seemed to be to convince Sadie that she needed to stop talking to me. It was also at that deposition that Mercede first learned that Levi and Bristol were seeing each other.
Less than a week later was when I first spotted Levi's truck over at Bristol's condo when I drove by in the morning.
It was only days later that Mercede launched her blog. The rest I do believe most of you have witnessed, or can glean from my posts and Sadie's posts.
Now yesterday I spent a great deal of time on the phone talking to other people researching Sarah Palin. A common thread that ran through my conversations were that sources who were willing to talk at first, would suddenly clam up later. Personally I have run into this time and time again, and apparently my experiences are not unique.
So is Sarah, or her people, tying up loose ends and preparing for something big? Yeah, I think that is safe to say.
Is Levi part of that tidying up process? That might very well be the case, especially since the jumping off point for a lot of critical articles written about the Palins was his Vanity Fair piece. Discrediting Levi takes a lot of damaging information out of the arsenal of those writing about Sarah Palin and her political aspirations.
However I would like to remind the young Mr. Johnston that the people at Vanity Fair paid him for the truth. If he now claims to have manufactured that story, he may find himself with much bigger problems than facing the wrath of a certain Mama Grizzly in Wasilla.
I am sure the editors and lawyers at Vanity Fair are gritting their teeth in anger when they watch segments like this:

By the way, just in case any of you are wondering, every time I have talked to an independent source about the things that Levi has said regarding the Palins, their marriage, and how they treat Trig, they have supported his version of events. The boy did not lie......at least not then.

Thanks for continuing to keep us informed, Gryph. But where do we go from here? Aren't there any others out there as brave as Mercede? If everyone with knowledge is now clamming up, being threatened or bought off, is there no avenue left for the truth to come out? Or are Palin and her shadow controllers unstoppable?

I don't believe Levi lied in the past. But no one will EVER believe anything he has to say again. He has publicly branded himself a liar. Whether it's because Bristol is super hot in bed (doubtful) or because he's too stupid to realize he can use the law to enforce visitation with his son, or because the Palinators are threatening his mom again, the fact remains that Sarah has forever neutralized him. So who is left to tell the truth?

How much you wanna bet that Bristol and Sarah have told Levi that the only way he'll see his son again is if he completely renounces everything he's ever said about the Palins? Bristol made a big point to say that she didn't need Levi, but as soon as Mercede starts her blog, there is a big effort to bring him back to the Palin flock, most likely by using his son as bait. Then he tells Mercede to shut her blog down or he'll never see her again. Has anyone here ever been the victim in an abusive relationship? I have. I recognize the signs. He is being cut off from his family. He is forced to say that he lied when talking about the Palins. I wouldn't be surprised if he will be unable to speak (or even be seen) in public. I wonder what price he pays to see his son.

When I got the facts of life talk from my father, he told that sometimes with women you have to aware that that pu**y can be expensive. Sometimes you pay a high price before sex and sometimes you pay a high price after sex. The key is to know is there a too high of price to pay. He's probably signed contracts with these people. The guy is going to wind up living lazy with the SP's, fishing and hunting and making occasional appearances as they want him to.
Bristy will have a huge wedding and she will get tons of press as she and Sarah shop for a gown, sneeze, etc. It will all be so nice and seemingly better than we all have it.

Seriously. How many of you think that the real reason Levi did this was that he was tricked into believing that Ben's Baby (who will be born in about 8 months) is his baby. Sarah would never let Bristol get an abortion. And it would be scandalous if her "abstinence only" daughter got pregnant by another man during her abstinence tour. Cue in Levi. Her "true love" and the father of her children. We should know in a couple of weeks. After the baby is born, Levi's ass will be dumped again, and this time he will have NO CREDIBILITY whatsoever. ReplyDeleteSarah Palin never asked them how they would feel if she ran for VP and explain how it would impact their lives. They never had a choice. Now they are just trying to make do with what can only be described as a shitty situation - Sarah Palin should be apologizing to them.
She could have admitted her shortcomings and said, "Thanks, but no thanks" to that VP nod, but she didn't. And that is the cause of everything we are discussing, talking about, arguing here.
She should have practiced abstinence. She should have "Just Said No" to John McCain.
Grypen, if Sarah thought that forcing Levi to retract his story AND threaten never to talk to his family if Sadie didn't quit the blog, was going to make it easier for her? Think again. All it does is confirm that she and her tribe threaten people. The world will see that Sarah has forced this young man to choose between the family he loves and who love him and his little boy. Thats it. The longer Sadie holds out and shows her courage, the more petty Sarah looks and Sadie doesn't have to do a thing to expose her. How many people stayed in a relationship with an emotional or physically abusive family members? When they've reached their limit and understand it will NEVER improve - then there is help. Until then, not much a person can do, except let them know you are there.
Unfortunately, Mercedes is finding out that the men in her family aren't stand-up guys. She gave plenty of clues that Levi cares more about Bristol and cash than he does about his own sister and mother. She doesn't talk to him very much. He doesn't open up to her very much. He dropped her for Bristol. He didn't stand up for her when Bristol was threatening her (on multiple occasions over a number of years.).

Mercedes, you may be the only one out there who understands that the best thing for Tripp is to not be raised solely by the Palins and their minions (including, apparently, your brother). You owe it to your nephew to keep on writing the truth. It shall set you (and your brother) free.
Call a lawyer, record your phone conversations, keep impeccable records of every comment from Levi and anyone involved with the Palins, and, while you're at it, call Kathy Griffin. Learn from her. There's no reason to be scared of the Palins.
If your mother is doing a good job on probation, get her in front of a judge and see if you can get her travel restrictions lifted. Go to college. Get away from Wasilla as soon as you possibly can. But, before you do, pay a visit to Joe McGinnis.
So some of the things he said were not completely true. Does that mean he lied about being at the hospital when Sarah gave birth to Trig?

I have concerns about all the folks who indicate they have info, and then clam up. Why is that?
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it was payoffs. But that doesn't work. There's just too many of them now, and Sarah couldn't possibly be paying THAT many people. Besides, that's a dangerous route. People will just keep coming back for more and more money. No, Sarah would not choose this option. Sarah might have made $12 million last year, but that was before taxes and she's not likely to repeat that figure anytime soon.
So then I thought of blackmail. But this doesn't work either for similar reasons as above. There's just too many people to cover. Do they all have deep, dark secrets that Sarah was able to uncover and use against them? Some -maybe, all? uh-uh. Besides, some people just get so pissed and miserable, that they throw caution to the wind and talk, figuring they don't have much more to lose.
That leaves me with only one thought left. Threats. Serious threats. Serious enough to be coercive and permanently persuasive.
Any other ideas that I missed?
And anon @ 7:56 - are you kidding me? Haven't you been reading any other posts? People have been talking about Bristol being pregnant again, ad nauseum.
I am SOOOO disappointed that Levi would fall down and play dead just because Bristol has invited him back into her bed. And I'll be even more disappointed in Levi if he thinks Bristol and he will live happily ever after! Muzzling Levi is definitely part of Sarah's tidying up process! But once Sarah is no longer in the running for POTUS, Levi will find his bags packed and sitting outside the door, the locks changed and Bristol no longer speaking to him. The Palins are using him just like they used him in '08.

Any person with the questionable mental problems revealed since SP came on the scene, is going to continue those questionable mental behaviors. Family, friends, acquaintances, working colleagues, aides, managers will all see the continual schitzophrenic displays, the blame gaming, the histrionics, the inconsistent patterns, the adulation cravings, the highs the lows, the silent treatments, the hurtful painful psychological verbal abuses, the vicious tongue, etc.
It won't be long before no one can stand being close to this kind of individual. Repeats of stories like Steve Schmidt and others will keep coming out. Time will tell whether SP is a hateful con artist, or a poor innocent persecuted, misunderstood loving person with a servant's heart.
The truth cannot be hid in the darkness. The truth is a light that exposes the darkness. Don't worry, if there is darkness, it will be exposed. Keep checking under that bus!

ReplyDeleteAlthough I deplore Bristol's behavior, she is a victim too. My own mother is very much like Sarah. When I was in my early twenties, I remained controlled to some degree by my mother even though I hated her for what she had done to me and my sisters. In college I was astonished to learn that some of the techniques she used to control us were employed by the Nazis.
The book Will I Ever Be Good Enough: Healing the Daughters of Narcissistic Mothers by Karyl McBride will shed light on some of the insanity coming from the Palins and on Bristol's behavior.

My reaction to Levi's "apology" was/is that he didn't do it. Is it possible (anything with SP is possible) that she (SP) or someone she hired, wrote up this whole thing and submitted it to the magazine without Levi's approval or possibly knowledge? It just doesn't sound like him. And he didn't announce it, it is just in print.

I have a sister who is a master at manipulation. So, I'm sitting here remembering how my sister works her 'victims'. First, she makes you feel that you are important, that others don't have your best interests, and maybe you should stay away from them - only trust me, is what my sister will say.

So here we have Levi, worried about his son, wanting to be a part of his life, and maybe some old feelings for Bristol still remain. The Palins know his emotional turmoil, are banking on that turmoil, so they put the abusive squeeze on him. They welcome him back to the fold, and isolate him from those, that they, the Palins cannot control - Levi's family.
I remember back after Bush was installed in 2001. You could find very little on him that was negative. His family had scrubbed just about anything negative on him. Bush, Laura both had brand new driver's licenses, their old driving records removed from Texas databases, his business career cleaned up. Parts of his military records were shredded. I forget what all was done. When Sarah was tapped as McCain's VP, I started saving things about her to my hard drive because remembering what they did with Bush, I figured they'd do the same with Palin. Heaven only knows what she scrubbed when she was governor, and with Parnell, he'd prob help her clean up things she didn't revealed.
Ah not that I am sticking up for Levi or anything like that...

ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely fairytale. The whole clan reads like they can use some addiction therapy, except that does not work for psychopaths. As a man, Levi would not of been putting his little pee pee FIRST, that is a baby boy in action.
I can't forget when Mercede mentioned her relationship with her father. He had a mistress for 15 years. The early internet chatter about Levi was that he is like his father, he was a jerk and substance abuser. He and Bristol have been off and on for like 4 years now? He once mentioned how they would 'see other people' and go back together. They are both well cemented in their patterns of behavior. Not likely to change.
It is the Sarah people's job to do all the PR spin and to create the imagine and brand that will make Levi and Bristol fit into the fake family that needs you to send money to pay off legal bills. There may be crazies that will do anything to see she runs for VP or whatever again but even the most delusional might be getting a bite from the Palin's reality as this progresses.

NOTHING about Sarah Palin is genuine or honest. Not even a supposed apology from her daughter's boyfriend.
When Palin's stock plummets ... and it will, just a matter of time ... Levi may decide that he doesn't like being so close to the failure of Sarah Palin after all.
Hopefully, he can learn to apologize HIMSELF to his own mother and sister at that time.

Very sad to say this but I think Sarah has used Bristol to manipulate Levi. It is even sadder that Bristol may have gone along with it and that Levi is so stupid.
ReplyDeleteLevi saying this makes him even less credible than he was before so I don't see this is anything big for Sarah except the fact that Levi probably wont write a book or talk about the Palins.
There is also the possibility that he was threatened to never see his child again unless he played by Sarah's rules.

ReplyDeleteLevi once said he knew what Sarah had on him and it didn't amount to much. IMO it has to do with the drug situation in the area. Remember there were two friends and unnamed informants that worked with the authorities to bust Sherry. Not once have these two friends been mentioned by name. Rumors have it that Levi was once a kid that was part of the scene in the Valley, not just a toker but getting stuff for friends. Mercede may not want to mention this b/c she might have to bring up a bigger issues. She may have forgiven the friends that turned on Sherry. Being Christian and forgiving can be an effective tool when the Palins work people over. Believe me a day does not go by that someone is not working on Mercede. I don't mean the ugly threat people. The ones that are 'nice' and pretend to be her friend.
Mercede is one courageous woman if she keeps her blog going and makes it viable. Sarah would not want the blog to end as a violation of her freedoms. Sarah wants it to end with no reflection on her.
The only one that does not look like an idiot is Mercede.

Seriously, the "apology" scheme is a sorry one the way they did it. They are only targeting the weak that are possible donors to the cause of Todd and Sarah. First they did it in People magazine which is known to flack for Palin. Second they did not try to camouflage that someone wrote it for Levi, he may have been told what they said for him or not.
The funny part is to imagine the actual behind the scene goings on around all this. They can't just stop with the apology. They will need to speak to Bristol's disappearance or about her public speaking schedule, her abstinence-only work of today and how Levi is reuniting with the family. What a happy joyous occassion for the Palins that love Tripp, there is much to celebrate! But how do they feel about him not having a job? Why can't the good extended family find work for him in one of their businesses? Bristol has her own PR firm and she can help get him a reality show. I've seen his friends and they fantasize about being the next Jersey Shore, hockey is a big player in all things Bristol and Levi.

By persuading Levi to recant on his Vanity Fair article, the Palin camp are (rather cleverly I might add) getting Levi to discredit himself (in the past, present and in the future as well).
ReplyDeleteI'm not into conspiracy theories, but I do think there is some very Machiavellian style maneuvering going on behind the scenes with regard to Palin's upcoming presidential run. Even though she hasn't announced her candidacy yet, it may as well be the 2012 campaign season.
The lips are being sealed and the loose ends are being tied. They're starting with the ones that have the most unrevealed dirt on Palin and then they'll probably work their way out from there.
Knowingly or not (and in Levi's case probably not), by pitting the Johnston's against each other, they are being used as mere pawns in the ultimate political chess game. And no, I don't think $arah is clever enough to implement this plan. Her well paid Washington DC handlers though are.

Those emails were released by the Palin administration in the spirit of open government. HA HA HA

ReplyDeleteI always saw Levi as your basic dead-end Wasilla sperm donor who didn't even bother to graduate from high school. Low ambition, and low functioning "Valley Redneck".
Gryphen said that he had possibilities to improve himself (and granted, his dad did get him a job on the slope and Sarah ruined it for him, but since then, he's only been chasing the easy money.)
He's just a basic guy, with a basic IQ, with less than glorious prospects. I think he dumped his gig because if he lives with Bristol he has a free ride on her income and no longer has to pay for the spawn of their teenaged love.

I too agree that Levi is under threat by Sarah and her lawyer(s) and that's why he is being forced (blackmailed with the baby) to issue a very public about-face apology. Now they've forced him to threaten his very own sister. I left Mercede a supportive message on her blog. I would be also interested in seeing a visitor counter on her blog as I'm sure others would too.

So by way of explanation I will soon put up a post that will provide you all with some behind the scenes information about "Team Levi" and how I, and a whole lot of other people, were jerked around by Tank Jones and Rex Butler.
I apologize in advance for my part in leading you down the wrong path, but in my defense I have to say I really thought that Levi was our very best hope of finding out all of Sarah's deep dark secrets. It is very upsetting to realize that my faith was so misplaced.
For a long time I blamed that on mismanagement. Now I know better.
Maybe the people with the proof about Trig will see what has happened to each of the Johnstons and say "I'm not afraid".

ReplyDeleteBristol is the product of Todd and Sarah combined. She is not Sarah or Sarah's pattern. You could read in the blogs about Levi when he was with Bristol and it is aligned with what Levi said about them going back and forth and "dating" others.
Bristol and Levi have a break up to get back together to break up to get back together repeat pattern. If the Palin masterminds decide the spin is to have them marry that is what they will do. After that if masterminds decide Bristol is to get rid of or keep Levi, that is what will happen. That is how it is when you sell your soul to the devil, as they say. You lose who you are and live in a world created by others. It's like waking up one day and realizing you are castrated.
One way or the other, levi is now a liar. And there will never be a way for him to undo that.

Way back when Levi and Tank were trying to explain the Ricky Hollywood gig, Tank said something about Levi's bros in Wasilla. My impression was that it was his bros that he dresses and does everything for. He is all about the Silla and he can never leave. Tell him to get out but think of him as having no legs and dependent on only the Palin Van Flein machine.
I'm afraid Tank and Rex Butler fleeced Levi out of a lot of money. I dare them to come on here and say otherwise. They won't. The only people in this story with any balls are (interestingly enough) Mercedes and Sarah. Sarah uses hers for evil.

Levi is a dumb high school dropout. He's handsome for a small town like Wasilla, but not handsome enough (and much too dumb and wooden) to make it in Hollywood.

I come from this exact same kind of family. Some of them used the exact same tactics on me. I spent years trying to accommodate and deal with these people because they were family. Pacification seemed the thing to do, although at the time I didn't realize that's what I was doing. Mostly it was knee jerk reflexes. When it's all you know you think it's normal.
ReplyDeleteNow it's been years since I saw or talked to any of them. That was their choice, not mine.They did it because I stood up to them. It was incredibly painful at the time. I did not want to sever ties.
I have finally come to realize just how abusive these people were. It took me years to figure this out. I have also come to realize my part in helping this behavior persist. It wasn't until I was free of them that I could clearly see how this all worked. It is bliss not to have to deal with these bullies any longer. The irony is that these people are also in Wasilla. Maybe there is something in the water there.
You have to stand up to bullies. These other posters are correct. Bullies take and take and take. Every concession makes a bully bolder. You never win playing their game.
By chance, is Levi's voice now two octaves higher?
