When Palin-bots attack! One California University student's account of what it is like to be on the wrong side of Sarah Palin and her minions.

Okay well obviously I am one of the few people who do not need to read this article to understand what it is like to weather an attack from the crazy right wing supporters of Sarah Palin.

But for anybody who has not made a trip through that particular shredding machine you will find the article below quite informative, and not just a little bit frightening.

From Politicususa:

An exclusive interview with Alicia Lewis, who found herself the unwitting victim of the Sarah Palin attack machine during the Palin Stanislaus speech shakedown. Sen. Leland Yee (D-SF) and others were wondering, among many other questions regarding the university’s transparency and financial dealings, why Palin’s speaking fees for her June 25 engagement were not being disclosed per the state’s public records law. In the course of following a lead about documents which were being disposed of suspiciously, Ms. Lewis stumbled into the middle of another Palin drama and found herself being labeled a “dumpster diver and “political operative” by Sarah Palin during Palin’s nationally streamed speech last weekend.

Sarah Jones: Sarah Palin accused you of being a “political operative” during her Stanislaus speech. Can you talk about what your intentions were when you found the shredded contracts and what your reaction was when you heard Palin’s spin on your intentions? Palin seems to be saying that you could not have had a motive other than political differences. Do you agree with her characterization?

Alicia Lewis: At the time we found the documents our intention was to find out what the heck was going on a closed campus day. All we knew was that our campus administration has been under constant criticism for decisions and actions it has made in recent years plus we had a tip from an alarmed source making us even more concerned that something fishy was taking place. We did not know it would lead us in the direction of anything concerning Sarah Palin.

When I heard what Palin said about those that found the documents I was immediately furious. I know both myself and Ashli Briggs have consistently stated that this was an issue about transparency and have advocated that changes be made in the CSU system regarding how donor money is handled.

I always made a point to not make a criticism about Palin because I knew it would undermine the argument we were making and would only add to the political divide already taking place in our community. So to hear Palin making such a bold statement was a demonstration that her only goal is to create a wide political divide.

She took the situation and made it solely about her instead of focusing on the REAL issue. It seems to be part of her gimmick, show how “the left” is attacking her from all sides and she is the victim (don’t forget to add in the catchy phrases!). All the while she ignores the real issues and topics being discussed….wait never mind I’m sure she has an out of context quote to use to help her seem knowledgeable. Considering that she presents everything as black or white (American or un-American) I am not surprised that she said it’s all about political differences because that’s all she knows.

I disagree with her characterization about me entirely, she obviously did not look into or comprehend what was being said and should maybe try thinking before speaking.

Well I really appreciate that there are still people in this world who are not so terrified by Sarah Palin and her gang of thugs that they allow her to intimidate them into letting her get away with ever bullshit thing that she does.

Personally I think the more people we have like that in this country the better off ALL of us will be.

Alicia Lewis, you are a hero.  And do not let anybody tell you different.

And Sarah Jones? I know you sometimes read this blog, so pelase make sure to let Ms. Lewis know how much her bravery is appreciated.

Typical Palin. Demonizing those who dare expose the real person.
People wouldn't 'dive' in dumpsters if you were an honest and upright person, Palin.
But you're not, so keep crawling on your belly in the dark.

In her speech, Sarah said: Students who spent their valuable, precious time diving through dumpsters before this event in order to silence someone ... what a wasted resource.

A suggestion for those dumpster divers: instead of telling people to sit down and shut up ... spend some time telling people like our president to finally stand up.

Now what the HELL does that mean ?

"spend some time telling people like our president to finally stand up"

Sarah, what do you think he's BEEN doing !

Hiding from the press and dodging non-friendly interviews like you do ?

If anybody needs to sit down and shut up, it's YOU !!

How about this for "standing up" Sarah:

President Barack Obama announced Saturday the awarding of nearly $2 billion for new solar plants that he said will create thousands of jobs and increase the country's use of renewable energy sources.

Obama disclosed the funding in his weekly radio and online address, saying it is part of his plan to bring new industries to the U.S.

"We're going to keep competing aggressively to make sure the jobs and industries of the future are taking root right here in America," Obama said.

The two companies that will receive the funds from the president's $862 billion economic stimulus are Abengoa Solar, which will build one of the world's largest solar plants in Arizona, creating 1,600 construction jobs; and Abound Solar Manufacturing, which is building plants in Colorado and Indiana. The Obama administration says those projects will create more than 2,000 construction jobs and 1,500 permanent jobs.

Obama's announcement came a day after the Labor Department reported that employers slashed payrolls last month for the first time in six months, driven by the expected end of 225,000 temporary census jobs. Meanwhile, private-sector hiring rose by 83,000 workers.

The unemployment rate dropped to 9.5 percent.

Obama said that while it may take years to bring back all the jobs lost during the recession(Bush era), the economy is moving in a positive direction. He placed some of the blame for the slow pace of recovery on Republicans, saying GOP lawmakers, "are playing the same old Washington games and using their power to hold this relief hostage."

Obama has said that to bring the nation's economy back from the brink of a depression(Bush era), it was necessary to add to the country's debt in the short term.

Republicans have tried to capitalize on that growing sum. Georgia Sen. Saxby Chambliss said in the Republican's weekly address that the country's $13 trillion debt is a national security issue that will leave the U.S. vulnerable and force future generations to "pay higher taxes to foot the bill for Democrats' out-of-control spending."

(added words in parentheses are mine - anon)

And to Chambliss: Maybe the unnecessary wars in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, etc had something to do with accumulating that $13 trillion debt - you think ??

    Thank you President Obama !

Congrats Gryphen, because Alicia just defined EVERY politician, dead and living. My question for her: Did you vote for Barack Obama? Because we all know transparency is as foreign to him as the word fair is to Hillary

And Sarah, since I'm on a roll this morning, here is a website that lists Obama's accomplishments so far:

    http://thehistoricalcontext.wordpress.com/2010/05/10/obama%E2%80%99s-accomplishments/

    I especially like # 84 and 85 Sarah -

    84. Returned money authorized for refurbishment of White House offices and private living quarters

    85. Paid for redecoration of White House living quarters out of his own pocket

How about that Sarah ? How much was that tanning bed and redecoration you did while Governor again ?? How much did it cost the Alaskan taxpayers ?

Nothing to say Sarah ? Cat got your tongue ?

  7. Kudos to this young woman and congrats to her for standing up identifying the truth that Palin avoids the issues. In AK debates she did not answer the questions nor did she as VP. Palin was incsensed asked questions by Couric and had an attitude with Gibson when queried farther. The issues are irrelevant to Palin nor need she be informed. Controlling her image while controlling others are black demonizing them in opposite extremes is her sick game to posistion people as the opposite of her setting them up for assualts and threats. meanwhile as shse victimizes people she claims the opposite of reality that her chosen victims 'attacked" her.
Palin is divisive in extremes (distortions) of white and black. She paints her self white e.g. branding her self pro life while lying the Potus is black as a murderer..anti life intending to kill people. Freedom? Palin positions herself pro freedom and lies the Potus and administration seeks to take away all freedoms.

Personalities like Palin get off on controlling people to turn them against others and manipulate them with words to go after others and don't care if doing this results even in death to someone. Plin's sole interest is maintaining her white image not by actions nor deeds but by painting others as black. AKA demonizing or villifying others.

She is not an idiot for she knows what she is doing and crafts her lies of others to achieve what Palin seeks for Palin using and victimizing others. Palin projects and by doing so she knows others will suffer the consequences of her behaviors which is a "win" to personality disordered people. Palin's actions are equite the opposite of her personal claims projecting her malignant personality onto others. Jekyll Hyde personality.

As an alumnus of CSU, and as the wife of a CSU employee, I can state emphatically that those young women are completely right about a lack of transparency in the CSU system. Sarah Palin just happened to be an example. We wouldn't be faced with that particular example up here, given that HSU and the surrounding community is much more liberal than Turkey Tech and the valley. But our administration, their bosses, and the very private donor system have all been playing fast and loose with our old and famous school. The employees have taken a beating. The students have taken a beating. The community has been hurt by the choices they've made. Yes, some of it leads directly back to the budget crisis in California (yes, I am a student of California political history and I do know it started with prop 13), but many of the poor decisions have come directly from the chancellor's office and the local school administration.
Sarah making it all about her is typical. She knows NOTHING about my state (or my birthplace, Eureka)but sticks her big ugly nose into it and insults everybody.

Sarah darling, you're just an old, has-been, never was, uneducated, irrelevant, ex-beauty queen with a rich sugar daddy.

Those determined young ladies have their moral compasses pointed in the right direction and are determined to make a positive impact with their lives and their endeavors. This is something you will never achieve nor do you aspire. After all is said and done, you're just irrelevant.

Sarah Jones and Ms. Lewis, real Alaskans apologize for Sarah's typical mislabling and deflecting tactics. There are granola eating, falafal ladies, haters, effete young men, delicate little starlets and community organizers that she thinks are on the bottom of her naughty monkeys. That they make fun of people on food stamps and have to Fast for mommie's ambition should speak to the level of maturity you are facing.

I was an everyday poster on the Anchorage Daily News well before McCain tapped Sarah to appeal to the base and my observations were of the governing skills of a person who had little care for issues beyond big ticket items that helped catch the national party eye. But the moment my comments weren't 100% supportive of the Governor as a VP candidate (again, nothing was different in my criticism) Alaskan posters jumped on me and others like me that weren't eating the cake. Those bots had me blocked and I haven't posted since that good six month run. I have a record to be proud of because it was always consistent and fair. But just because we were supposed to support Sarah because this was good for Alaska (how?) I was labled the inflammetory title of a Hater.

Now at the IM, I hide behind Anon and gleefully get as nasty as they are, but not so much. : )

Know that you have legions of supporters that aren't as vocal as the bots.

I read the interview on politicus, and I am so proud of Alicia Lewis and her fellow students for standing up for what's right. These women, young as they are, illustrate all the intelligence, class, and integrity that Palin is sorely lacking.

It angered me to learn that while certain things were cut, and the students' tuition was increased, the university had no problem overpaying the loud-mouthed bimbo for her predictably hateful and ignorant screechfest.

The university got egg in its collective face as the direct result of getting caught being dishonest, and these young ladies deserve immense credit for not backing down in the face of Palin's well-known penchant for vindictiveness. They are the strong women that Palin only professes to be, and they give me great hope for the future.

I have found the perfect comparison for Sarah's actions. It is the soccer player who is bumped or nudged in the course of play, then falls down, groaning loudly, clutching his arm or leg, screaming foul! I was watching interviews with the American Soccer Team's Captain on TV, and he was asked if all of those theatrics on the pitch were part of the game. He laughed, but the comparison with Palin is perfect.

I am willing to bet that Sarah learned how to do this while playing basketball. People described how Sarah turned into a barracuda because she had to have the ball. I can hear her now when she fumbled a dribble or missed a throw, "Ref, they fouled me." It is the same response to a Letterman joke that should have just been ignored. It was always another person's fault when she set up an illegal defense fund trust or took money from the state for her kids' travel.
The students at CSUS were not telling Sarah to "sit down and shut up." They were making public the Diva's demands for bottled water and bendy straws, high speaking fee and lavish treatment while their own services and scholarships at the university were being cut.

I say that it is time to call Sarah out. Not, Sit Down and Shut Up, but Bring It On. Heap insult upon insult on sensitive Sarah, bad joke upon bad joke. The way she reacted to Joe McGinniss moving next door was text book Palin, immature and laughable. Come one, Sarah, sue somebody because they think that someone else gave birth to Trig. Scream at someone because they quoted your flubs in speaking. (I was only three months old in Idaho, but I remember Daddy's bowling league.) And, please do it by tweet (juvenile) and face book (ghostwritten) because, Sarah, you don't have to guts to sit down for a real interview. Those girls were doing original research at a university that should applaud initiative, while Sarah never does her homework. Happy Fourth of July!

Sarah Palin's brain is iced with hatred.
She attacks and attacks with her little knowledge on issues.
She blames the left and President Obama, while she plays victim.
Well she criticized the girls for not paying attention to how Obama is destroying the country. May be it is Sarah herself who suffers from attention deficit.

She needs to study who destroyed the world economy:May be this would help her since I know she reads this blog everyday. The video in the article below, will help Ms quiter to learn who destroyed this country. It is not President Obama.

Anon 6:42am - I think the members of Sarah's 'Cult
of Personality,' at the ADN have had to back-off
in recent months. Some amazing anti-'her' comments
have been allowed through. I got removed once in
re to the Sarah instigated Joe McGinniss hoopla
when I referred to how she got 'Glenn Beck's
testosterone roiling,' over her new neighbor. But at least 10 others were censored, too. Now,the ADN is called 'liberal' by the bots due to the overwhelming negative Palin comments being permitted. Good,eh!

Please tell me why these two "young heroes" lawyered up and refused to cooperate with the investigation as to how they obtained these docs.

They broke in a locked office and stole them.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Anne In DC11:37 AM

@Anon 2:32: I don't yet know the reasons for their "non-cooperation," but they still deserve credit for exposing the mendacity of both the administration and Palin. At a time when their tuition is raised, and programs are being cut, there is no excuse for paying Palin such a large fee. If the administration had nothing to hide in the first place, there would have been no effort to shred the incriminating documents. I, for one, am glad that the administration is being held accountable for favoring this dingbat over the students whose presence is the very reason for the university's existence. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened, and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving human being than Paln.
