First Joe Miller uses Palin's attorney, then possibly her ghost Twitter'er, and now her Fox News backdrop? I wonder if we will see him sporting a pair of her Naughty Red Monkey Pumps next? Update Murkowski concedes!

Okay seriously THAT is the exact same backdrop that Sarah Palin uses when she says the stupid things that she says on Fox News.  See?

No matter WHERE Palin is broadcasting from, THAT is what you always see behind her.

And now that is the same thing you see behind Joe the Teabagger.

And not only that but Miller also has the exact same Sarah Palin paranoia about the GOP and mistrust of the media.  He even went so far as to have Sarah Palin's pet attack attorney write a letter asking for the State Troopers to be posted outside of election headquarters in case somebody tries to steal back the election that he finagled away from Murkowski.  Paranoid much?

Wow! Same backdrop, same attorney, same paranoia, hmmm.  Has anybody actually SEEN Sarah Palin and Joe Miller at the same time?  I mean if Palin deepened her voice, didn't shave for a couple of days, and bought a more realistic looking wig  they could almost be the same person.

Update:  It looks like Murkowski has conceded.  So now it is Sarah Palin surrogate Joe the Teabagger VS the intelligent Alaskan voters.  Let's see if my people can finally get their heads out of their asses.

Suspicions will be confirmed when Joe turns up wearing Sarah's circa 1968 lip gloss...

  5. Holy guano batman!! We have to find McAdams the money to run this new great race for Alaska. Looks like the folks at the DNC are not going to be much help-from what i have read today. Not to forget there are lots of smart GOP out there who would rather see intelligence than some immature nut job.

As to the stationing of guards outside the polls so the election wouldn't be rigged - ahem, Mama told me "you don't usually look behind a door unless you've hidden there."

    Just saying.

People get out and work for McAdams or you will regret it for six years or more.

Just watched the news conference and I have to say she has class and kept her dignity.

I am a republican but will be giving money for the first time in my life to a democrat candidate, in fact 2 of them both , Ethan and now the mayor of Sitka.
There is no way in hell that I would vote for anyone associated with Palin or her Teabagger friends.
Notice I said I am a republican. Wonder how many other s feel the way I do?

As a Democrat, I appreciate your willingness to break ranks with your party. I'm registered Dem,and have done the same.

Sadly, I have to admit I did that very thing with Palin. I was a low-information, new to AK voter, had loose ties with the family and stronger ties with those who knew the family, and I heard from other folks that Murkowski wasn't nearly cutting it. Never again. People ask why I'm so interesting in digging into the policies of the candidates and I cite this exact reason.

I've already given money to McAdams and will do so until November. I pray that Alaskans think this through before they send someone like Miller to represent our interests. Its a damn scary thought.

Lets HOPE that the people who have been sitting out on the primaries, decide to get busy and at least LOOK INTO what these candidates are proposing...especially the Republibaggers who want absolutely NOTHING more than to extend the tax cuts to the rich, and maybe to kill Social Security and Medicare.

Their only other agenda is to try to UNDO all the reform legislation the Democrats managed to get into effect...because we all KNOW how important it is, to let the insurance companies go back to being TOTAL pirates, for the banks to continue making stupid moves and needing more welfare from the taxpayers, and for the oil companies to be unhampered in their zeal to destroy the planet.

The mainstream R's are going to go to bat for Joe. Bat-shit crazy for Joe and tranny Sarah.

They are going to spend an unimagineable amount of money to buy this seat just to make 20% of a fear mongering populist movement fad and an ex-half-term Governor look good.

You know Sarah, Joe and her bots are crowing tonight.

It looks like 50% representation for Alaska for the next six years. What kind of job do you have when you are the "No" Man? When you kick sand in the face of the very hand that feeds Alaska?

Say what you want about Lisa, but she had our backs in very much the way Stevens did. She was NOTHING like her useless father in the U.S. Senate.

    Shit. This is awful.

(Shannyn's right about painting a red state blue, one stroke at a time. Alaska used to be a blue state, a "live, let live" attitude, and people who hallowed mother earth. Then, dum de dum, the oil companies arrived. Nothing wrong with oil research and development, done properly - but so many people from that mentality (corporations and drill baby drill) moved in. )

That backdrop is actually the studio Faux news installed in Palin's castle. Miller is pallin' around with Palin who is pallin' around with Murdoch who is pallin' around with Saudi $$$$. Faux owns Palin and now Miller is in the mix. There is a huge "ick" factor knowing that Miller is hanging out at Palin's compound filming propaganda.

"So, just a quick thought, here.

Sarah helps get Sen Murkowski ‘out of the way’ — vindictive pay-back from the oldest High School mean-girl in the USA.

Miller is turning out to be a nutcase — so Alaska voters send Scott McAdams to the US Senate.

Republicans in Alaska are loving Sarah Palin even LESS now!

I can see it now! Bumber stickers everywhere, STFU SARAH!

Senator Murkowski, about the only Republican of stature who hasn’t made a fool of herself is the GOP nominee for 2012. She comes with solid experience and BRAINS too! Not to mention experience! Oh and did I mention brains?

    Sarah’s head explodes.

  24. Must read
    New article in Vanity Fair

Sarah Palin the Sound and the Fury
    by Michael Joseph Gross

"Even as Sarah Palin’s public voice grows louder, she has become increasingly secretive, walling herself off from old friends and associates, and attempting to enforce silence from those around her. Following the former Alaska governor’s road show, the author delves into the surreal new world Palin now inhabits—a place of fear, anger, and illusion, which has swallowed up the engaging, small-town hockey mom and her family—and the sadness she has left in her wake."

I am assuming that he was on the Palin compound and filmed from Sarah's private Fox studio in the "chateaux tower.

I wonder if Todd will like having Joe hanging around his castlette for the next 6 years?

Of course, maybe the Sitka mayor will somehow pull a moose out of a hat.

I disagreed with Lisa's political positions, but she always behaved as a mature professional.

It's no surprise that Palin's candidate Miller acted so disgracefully childish, vindictive, and paranoid. That's exactly how Sarah always acts. Both of them remind me of little weasels.

I don't know if Miller is as mind-numbingly ignorant as Palin, but he sure sounds like it.

Anyhow, sounds like a good chance for the Democrat McAdams in November

This will be an interesting general election.

Reading comments to other articles on this topic, I get the impression that the pro Miller folks are so over Palin and resent the idea that they voted for Joe because "Palin told them to."

I dunno, maybe the rest of us should ignore Palin too and stop seeing everything through the Palin filter. Maybe she just doesn't matter anymore.

  29. I'd missed the main Vanity Fair story on Sarah. She is not going to like this.

    excerpt:
"The intensity of Palin’s temper was first described to me in such extreme terms that I couldn’t help but wonder if it might be exaggerated, until I heard corroborating tales of outbursts dating back to her days as mayor of Wasilla and before. One friend of the Palins’ remembers an argument between Sarah and Todd: “They took all the canned goods out of the pantry, then proceeded to throw them at each other."

    (note: Levi didn't lie.)

You know, I read what Miller supporters say about him and it almost sways me a bit.

Then I see how easily Miller attaches himself to the Palin Crazy Circus and it turns me off.

If it's true that Palin had little to do with Miller's win, then he needs to develop some distance and be his own man.

Come on, you guys. Since when is James Dobson, Anchorage Baptist Temple, Wasilla Assembly of God and Franklin Graham in charge of Alaska destiny?

We are totally doing something wrong. In the last 12 years, we've collectively screwed ourselves and passed up intelligence and vetted leadership - Fran Ulmer, Halcro, Mike Gravel.
    What exactly are we proving?

I cannot believe that people actually voted for Lesil McGuire. Are you kidding me?!
Are we really this plebian and ridiculous?

It troubles me that I cannot find even one person who admits to voting for Palin or Sean Parnell. Hey, somebody voted for them, right? Own it. Defend it. Then carefully consider what it is that these positions are about and what skill set is most advantageous. Do some homework.
