Jon Stewart on Sarah Palin's "Mama Grizzly" video: "What conservative traits do bears possess?"
Though Palin doesn't make sense, you get what she is saying. In spite of her ugly facial and body tics and gross vocalizations punctuating her speech - she still manages to capitalize on her good looks to deliver her confounding verbiage.
Excerpts from a great article below:
Palin is given to meandering phraseology of a kind suggesting someone more commenting on impressions as they enter and leave her head rather than constructing insights about them. Or at least, insights that go beyond the bare-bones essentials of human cognition.
What truly distinguishes Palin’s speech is its utter subjectivity: that is, she speaks very much from the inside of her head, as someone watching the issues from a considerable distance. The there fetish, for instance — Palin frequently displaces statements with an appended “there,” as in “We realize that more and more Americans are starting to see the light there...” But where? Why the distancing gesture? At another time, she referred to Condoleezza Rice trying to “forge that peace.” That peace? You mean that peace way over there — as opposed to the peace that you as Vice-President would have been responsible for forging? She’s far, far away from that peace.
The issues, American people, you name it, are “there” — in other words, not in her head 24/7. She hasn’t given them much thought before; they are not her. They’re that, over there.
This reminds me of toddlers who speak from inside their own experience in a related way: they will come up to you and comment about something said by a neighbor you’ve never met, or recount to you the plot of an episode of a TV show they have no way of knowing you’ve ever heard of. Palin strings her words together as if she were doing it for herself — meanings float by, and she translates them into syntax in whatever way works, regardless of how other people making public statements do it.
ROFL - Jon Stewart and company exposes that woman for her idiocy and her crazy insinuations about democrats and children. I think she's too stupid to even realize most of what she is saying let alone how it may be percieved. God I don't know why but she makes my blood boil. I'm glad that the Daily Show chose to expose her lies and hyprocisy.
I can't believe it. I was a Hillary feminist and want nothing more than to have a thinking, intelligent and aware woman to run for President. Sarah is none of those things. A grizzly she is: mean, vicious, unthinking, selfish, and out for only HER cubs. I need someone who thinks of the future for all the children, even the brown ones to be my leader. I love the fact that Obama does his work without all the DRAMA in the tabloids. God save us from this terrible woman who is determined to wreck our country for her own benefit.
Be careful, Jon. The same six protesters outside Letterman's studio asking for his head on a platter are now going to be in front of your studios. LMAO.
If Sarah is such a Mama Grizzly, she certainly hasn't been taking very good care of her kids.
I can't imagine any parent humiliating their daughter by outing her pregnancy in front of millions. Sarah continued to use Bristol as a spokesperson for abstinence when that was such a joke. (Look at my wonderful condo and my pretty baby. Do as I say, not as I did).
Even in this latest chapter of the Wasilla Soap Opera, she did not support her daughter' brief choice to get married to the guy they claim is Tripp's father. (Levi, get a DNA test!)
Sarah has used Trig as a prop from the moment that someone gave birth to him. He represented her "right to life" values. In speeches, Sarah talked about making the choice to have Trig, while she denies that same choice to other women. I am glad that Trig has finally grown too big to be dragged around as a photo prop. However, I wonder how much therapy that poor kid is getting.

This inept governor Sarah Palin has a high approval from the un educated, sound bite crowd. Sure it's all fun and games to terrorizing and taxing private industry 400%, successfully becoming the highest taxing regime in the world. Chavez would be Proud Palin invited 1200 new friends to ride the government gravy train and help grow government. She has continued giving every special intrest group just what they want or more. Sarah has created an atmosphere of hate and discontent in the state of Alaska between the people and the legislators. She continues with baseless accusations and directs negative media towards the Alaska House and Senate Members. She just recently tried to oust the Chairman of the Republican Party of Alaska. Side Note: The Lt Governor announced he was running against the Senior Republican Congressman. This guy has provided no service in his present position. She can't accomplish a simple task as a governor of a small state so she has created an atmoshpere of hate and pitting groups against each other. You people think she can be a VP, how with her looks? You have lost your FLIPPIN minds! Ignorance KILLS! She is not smart, conservative or prolife. She is not an upstanding parent or community member. I know that Sarah Palin is the most insecure individual that I have ever met! All I can say is too bad Syrin was wrong about the stupidity of the National GOP and John McCain.
Yeah Palin "Mom's just know when somethin's wrong." Like you know, when your water breaks or leaks and you have had like 6 other pregnancies and like you know how mom's (Rill Moms not you MINO, MOm in name only Sarah) know that you sort of have to actually SEE a doctor to have them CHECK you before you hop on a flight from one end of the world to another, in labor with your special needs kid, the one with a hole in his heart and who decided to come early. You know, like THOSE moms.
Or like when a Mom just knows when their teenaged daughters are trying to get knocked up? You know, REAL moms, the ones who pay attention to their kids, know where their kids are. They don't take them out of school to pose as props, or take them in the cold without proper attire. A Mama Grizzly ought to slap you upside your head and offer some REAL common sense to you, in the form of a refudiation of your idiocy!

Funny, but those mamma bears have been a real nuisance out west this year. They've had to kill 30 of them in my state alone and relocate a slew more.
