That was hilarious! The only problem I had with both Jon Stewart and Colbert (btw - I have a terrible feeling that my half sister's husband is one of those that thinks Colbert is a conservative and not a comedian - time will out) was that I had to put up with so much BECK. OMFG - people believe that?? I suppose women marry murderers on death row, but gah, the stupidity!

    Thanks for everything,

    T

  3. Okay I just went to Huffpost and saw that they also posted Stewart's take down of Glenn Beck, and I noticed that they also used the word "eviscerate" in their title.

Now I realize there is very little chance anybody is going to believe me, but I SWEAR I wrote my post before seeing theirs.

I would totally accuse them of ripping off my idea for a title and then contact my lawyer, "Stinky" Gambino, to sue them but I noticed that the post already has over 11,000 comments and I am pretty sure that does not happen in less than four hours.

  6. I keep wondering just how much we are going to hear the rightwing crap about how letting the ultrarich continue to evade paying their fair share of taxes, will solve ALL our problems, before it dawns on Mr. and Mrs. Average American, that they are being conned.

BUT: then I think about how many people who otherwise seem semi-sane, tell me they find Glenn Beck to be a voice to be listened to--and I realize its all pretty hopeless.

Even when Beck comes right out and ADMITS he's putting people on, and doesn't for a minute believe his own schtick, they STILL want to believe in this buffoon so badly, that they DO.

It makes you want to shrug it off with a "Serves the dummies right," but unfortunately, we ALL get dragged down, and suffer the consequences together.
