Holy crap! The guy does not even have the nomination yet, and he is already starting to self destruct!
Apparently Miller took this down fairly soon after he impulsively tweeted it out to the world (What is it with the Palin people and their tweets anyhow?), however there are fast, internet savvy, people out there and his colossal screw up is now preserved for all to see.
Now perhaps Joe the Teabagger is NOT aware of this but Lisa Murkowski is pretty damn popular in Alaska, and even MORE popular among the Republicans that he needs to support his candidacy.
Or does he really think that all he needs to win is a couple of supportive Facebook posts and an encouraging smack on the ass from Sarah Palin?
All I can say is I do not have NEARLY enough popcorn for this circus!
P.S. By the way THIS is where that tiny url of Miller's was linking to. I am guessing he is almost as thin skinned as his benefactor Sister Sarah.
Update: Lisa is not buying that whole, "I was talking about the Libertarian party!", defense.

I encourage all of you to vote her down should she try to run under another heading. That will not change her focus as to being in the 'party of no'!

eh, my only thoughts are, if you're going to blame him for not owning the tweet, you have to blame Obama and Gov Bloomy (ha) for the "photo op" last year in the financial district. Was the offending tweet actually part of a larger thread that dealt with Murkowski's actual discussions with the Alaska Libertarian Party about taking over that party's nomination of Don Hasse? Now, we could assume that Miller just regretted offending the entire Libertarian Party.... but that's a pretty giant step for the imagination.

ReplyDeleteI find any reference to prostitution offensive in politics. The truth is, I doubt anyone would have made the comment had not Lisa been a woman. The idea he is referring to the Libertarian party doesn't hold water. How many Libertarian party members subscribe to his tweets? No too many, I would imagine. He's talking to Republican voters he may lose if Lisa runs with that party.
ReplyDeleteHe knows if Lisa runs as a Libertarian he'll have a real opponent who challenges his values: by definition he doesn't have to respond to the Democratic candidate. He's a "Liberal." He's automatically wrong. Lisa will challenge him on his own turf forcing him to continue to actually campaign.
There is no one "touchier" than Palin, who manages to take any perceived slight so personally --even those that are from the realm of professional comedy and actual satire--that she much blow them all out of proportion and make a Big Deal of them.

3:17, No. Once you lose in a primary all that means is that you can't be that party's candidate. Just because your party doesn't want you, that doesn't mean people outside the party won't. So, if the state's rules allow, a loser in a primary should be free to seek other avenues. Let ALL the people decide.
