Christine O'Donnell continues to demonstrate why she earned the Sarah Palin "Stamp of Approval". "Debates? We don't need no stinking debates!"

From the Delaware Liberal:

The first candidate forum of the 2010 general election campaign is tonight at the Siegel Jewish Community Center, located at 101 Garden of Eden Rd., off Concord Pike in the Brandywine Hundred. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the debate starting at 7. The forum is sponsored by the Wilmington Chapter of Hadassah and the Jewish Community Relations Committee of the Jewish Federation of Delaware.

Expected to participate are all the candidates for the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House seats, as well as the state-wide races for Auditor and Treasurer. However, Christine O’Donnell’s spokesman Evan Quietsch went on the Rick Jensen Show yesterday afternoon on WDEL, and said that O’Donnell will not show up unless she was provided all the questions to be asked of the candidates before hand. Jensen, a right wing conservative radio host, was absolultey shocked and said that has never been done before at any debate that he attended or moderated.

Wow! Is she going to make a certain "Mama Grizzly" proud or what?  After all this is essentially the advice the Queen of the Teabagggers gave O'Donnell on the Factor last night.

Since when do candidates get to simply skip the debates?  I hope the people of Delaware refuse to let her get away with that crap. Don't let this woman hide behind Twitter and Facebook like her idol Caribou Barbie, call her ass out!

Of course one can hardly blame her for staying home and hiding under her bed as more, and more scandalous tidbits come pouring out of her closet.

Like the fact that she pays her mother to be a consultant.  "Hey Mom, does this dress make me look fat? No?  Gee thanks Mom, here's $500.00."

Or that the openly homophobic candidate has a lesbian sister.  Well at least according to her recently out of the closet gay ex-employee Wade Richards.

Or that O'Donnell believes that those evil old Jesus hating scientists are combining human DNA and mouse DNA in order to create super mouses...uh...super mice...uh...would you believe Mighty Mouse?  Look I am not making this up, see for yourself:

"They are -- they are doing that here in the United States. American scientific companies are cross-breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains. So they're already into this experiment."

And don't think for an instant that the Republicans are going to do anything to stop this wingnut. After Karl Rove appeared on Sean Hannity and told the truth about O'Donnell he was virtually chased out of of town with pitchforks and torches by the Teabaggers.

No Christine O'Donnell and the other Sarah Palin brand of conservative Republicans are here to stay, and it falls to the REAL journalists, and progressive bloggers to reveal just how dangerous their ideas are for the future of our country.

Update:  Apparently O'Donnell put on HER "man-pants" and showed up for the debate.

Wow, just read the article on the debate. She actually sounds a little more coherent than Palin. Answering questions. Putting together sentences. (If you can believe that!)

Sarah may lose a little attention over this woman.

Todd, look out for flying cans of creamed corn!

Of course, I still think she is a crackpot. But it is fun to think about Sarah losing some airtime!

  13. Okay well obviously I am going to post the Stewart/Colbert information about the rally in the morning AFTER I can get the embeds from their shows where they announce it.

It is not even going to come on up here for another hour. Stupid Alaska!

Oh, man...just watched A Cooper trying to not guffaw while interviewing the latest teabagger wingnut to come on the scene...

the scary looking guy the mentally challenged voters of New York propped up as the Republican governor candidate.

Yet another bid for smaller government: Rounding up all those lazy bastards who refuse to look for another job, just because the one they had is now being done by some kid in Bangladesh--and putting them into work camps where a new army of government workers will teach them personal hygeine. Great idea, huh?

Shouldn't add much more than 10 to 12 billion to the already overstretched state budget.

  16. O'Donnell showed up to the debate.
Although I disagree with everything she stands for, I will give her credit for showing up. I do NOT believe that Palin will ever have the guts to show up for a debate (unless it is faked, with questions/answers in advance, and on FAUX).

Palin seems to have NO idea what she stands for, using same old tired cliches, like "commonsense."

O'Donnell DOES know what she stands for, and she talks in complete sentences. Nutty? Yes.
But she does not exude the anger, nastiness, and evil that is Palin.

Christine will be the darling of the xtain taliban - watch and see.

I think sarah was counting on O'Donnell to follow her advice (FOX only + facebook - no interviews).
O'Donnell will face the public and answer questions - this is going to make Palin look very very bad, and cowardly, also, too.

Let's worry about mrs. O'Donnell 's politics instead of her religious beliefs. Would someone of a dif religion with such beliefs be as villified? Her financial problems shouldn't be an issue either. Focus on the issues, this is coming from a liberal. And man pants? Kind of sexist no?

Ok, listen up Sarah. Christine is younger than you, just as charismatic as you, and prettier than you. Plus, even some of those on the left like her (Bill Maher)! But most importantly, as crazy as she is, I think she actually reads and studies (albeit from the book of crazy), while you are too lazy to do anything but repeat the same old, tired talking points on your hand. In short, move over, Sarah, there's a new Tea Bag Queen in town. You're not that hot and soon the guys will no longer be that into you.

Ya know, I've had the "work camp" theory for awhile now. I believe that it's going to be the big ol' Neocon Solution for the jobs crisis. They'll target terrified people who are unemployed and owe big bucks to the Rethug's banking buddies. I didn't watch the debate, and am not clear if one of the Xtreme Candidates mentioned this concept or not, so don't quote me. I'm sure people will be earning a dollar a day, working and living in rotten conditions (no annoying Big Gov't regulations, right?), and kids will probably be working long hours alongside their parents as well. The Koch puppets will present it as competing with China, and if you don't want to comply, you'll be "unAmerican™."

And, does the "hygiene" thing sound a little, uh, scary? Hmm.

History only repeats itself if we let it. Tin foil hat off.

Uh oh! Guess who's "pro-life" with Pro- choice tendencies....Mama Grizzly won't be happy

O'Donnell did say she would support abortion in cases "where the life of the mother" was at risk. She recalled that her own family faced that situation with her sister in the past, though she didn't elaborate. O'Donnell called instances where the life of the mother is at risk "a personal family decision."

Last night I looked at a clip of an interview that Sarah had with Bill O’Reilly. Her face was so expressive, that I decided to watch her with the volume down; and her expression that stood out, I replayed it with the volume back to see the reason for it; and boy I did I learn something about Ms Palin.

    1. Palin is really angered that O’Donnell is not allowed to be speak by her handlers / advisors.
    2. She truly believes that the tea party is a movement. You know it is so sad when people believe their own lies… (Some people are angry about..– I do not want to digress so I’ll address this in another post soon) but the point is yes, there are angry people, the GOP ran ahead of the angry mob try to tell them why they are angry; with propaganda really. That is all it is, so I can see where she continue to fool herself to believing her lie.
    3. She really cannot fathom that the Tea Party message isn’t deep in the psyche of the American people. And she really do not believe that the tea party message will not be embraced by the Independence and other democrats… so called Regan Democrats
    4. Just look at her reaction when O’Reilly told her she had a lot of power… I do not want to taint your opinion of it; so I’ll refrain (with all my might) from divulging my observation! Aaah.. Sorry; she is like, She threw her eyebrow up (a weak attempt of acting surprise seeming to say to say really), but look at the smirk, just look at it! And it was a delayed reaction as well, trying to think of how to react, but that smirk gave away her true thoughts
    5. You know, that woman truly told a lie about going hunting with for a Caribou. So there I was looking at that 5 minute tape without sound, and I saw her talking out the side of her mouth, shaking her head, but I could see that she wasn’t believing what she was saying; I thought this is some absolute BS she is trying to sell; I was going to ignore it, but decided to replay it to see what she was talking about; would you know she was talking about killing a Caribou! Another thing Ms Palin isn’t genuine about; her true feelings for Beck! Look at when she is talking about Beck, firstly her face relaxed from combat mode, but what I could read by her reaction was that she is friendly with him, but she has him at arms length; I thought I would see some fondness there for him, but I was really surprised by that.

I use to laugh at Sarah thinking “God this woman is Dumb! What an idi@t, well that is true, but she is a motivated idi@t with an agenda! It dawned on me that Sarah believes that she lost the election bid, because Team McCain didn’t do as she wanted (control issues); now she is using the Tea Party movement to prove to Team McCain that if it is done her way, then the result would’ve been different.

  29. Yes, I heard this morning on NPR that the Republican nominee for Florida's governor, Rick Scott, has cancelled the first of two debates with Alex Sink, the Dem nominee. Why? I can't quote it, but it had something to do with Chris Matthews being an Obama Liberal.

    Nice.

I'll bet that when Sarah runs for President she will do the exact same thing. She may very well be the first candidate in history to refuse to participate in a debate. Of course, she will get creamed my the media and other candidates but her ego is so big that she thinks she can get to the White House from Facebook and Fox News.

Anon. @ 11:00 - "Man pants" is a direct quote from COD that she used when attempting to insinuate that her opponent was gay (as if that were a bad thing and reason not to elect.) But for me, it's not so much her religious views, but that she has proven herself financially incompetent and devoid of any real accomplishment. And I think those mice with human brains have stolen hers.

London, I'd agree that Palin is evil. That woman has a heart of hate and her vicious and vengeful nature is legend in Alaska. SHE is every bit as bad as Rove, Bush, Cheney, et al.

Christine O'Donnell may be a bit dim, a bit nutty, a bit of a mess financially, but she strikes me as a very sweet woman who is genuinely likable. (Maybe that's why 41 on her looks like 35 - she does have a good heart). Plus, I give her big props for doing the debate. She did well by accounts. It will come down to whether or not she can actually articulate real solutions instead of platitudes.

I may not agree with her, and I may frown on some of what she does, but she does not trigger a negative visceral reaction in me.

Please let's not go overboard and call her unwarranted names.

Hours late Ms. Anti-masturbation and I will not lie to Hitler about Jews in my house goes on I only fake support the troops wearing blue. It is almost like a scientist made her out of SP DNA and oh lets say a rat. SP should watch out either Americans will like O'Donnell more or she will try and take over SPs life.
