Not that one photo can predict the outcome of a dance contest but....Update!

On the left you see "The Hill's" Audrina Partridge with partner Tony Dovolani and Bristol Palin with her partner, the clearly delighted, Mark Ballas.

Now I am NOT making any judgement based on body types, however as somebody who actually DID dance on stage (It's a long story and no I am not going to elaborate) I would say that there is an observable, and very distinct, difference in how these two young women hold themselves that does not exactly bode well for Bristol's chances.

Of course this IS a popularity contest and there are tons of Palin-bots who will vote like crazy to keep their favorite Mama Grizzly's daughter on the show.  And remember Kate Gosselin lasted all the way until the fifth week and SHE danced like this.

(You can read more over at the Huffington Post)

Update: According to the Chicago Sun Times it looks like Bristol is having significant difficulty facing the realty of life outside of Wasilla.

Things keep getting interesting behind the scenes on ''Dancing With the Stars.'' A show insider says, ''Move over, Michael Bolton! Bristol Palin is now out-diva-ing you!''

The source said the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has become a constant pain in the rear for "DWTS" staffers. ''Clearly she didn't read the fine print on her contract -- and that's just a figure of speech. There's nothing hidden in the contracts,'' said the ''Dancing'' source.

She's learned a lot from her mother.

What is she wearing? On my iPhone....it looks like a saggy grey diaper with purple tights ;-)

When I enlarge the pic I see that its a saggy grey tshirt....aren't there any gays at DWTS that can dress this girl properly ?

I lover her facial expressions- "Oh, my God, oh, my God, this gay dude is touching me and it feels so good..."

Bristol's partner is clearly trying to get her to show some happiness and enthusiasm for what she's doing. Look at her. 20 years old and obviously out of shape, no interest. Other dancers are doing skilled moves and Bristol is still learning to start on her right foot. The payday was the $125,000 to sign on. After week 2, they only get $20,000 a week more.I say she quits in week 2 with an injury or illness. She keeps the 125K, cha ching. Money for nothing.

There was speculation that Bristol was pregnant when people saw her appearance earlier this year, plump and with a visible pudgy gut at the abstinence event when she wore the floral dress for example.
Alaska WTF even reported that they had more than one source saying Bristol was definitely pregnant.
    I wonder what happened?
Do those sources want to come out and tell everyone what they think happened?

I really have doubts she can stick with it. It's really hard work -- I remember Kate saying that they practice 8 hours a day just for the dancing and also need to be available for photos and appearances, too. I can't remember if it was Kate that was complaining of the time or who.

So with those long hours practicing and appearances, who is taking care of Tripp? Some example she's trying to set.

I'd really like to find out how long she's known she was going to do this show. Was Sarah involved, and did the breakup with Levi help Sarah get involved? If they film Tripp at all, she's a liar.

Oh, Holy God. I don't watch DWTS, so I never saw Kate actually attempt to dance. That was the most cringe-worthy attempt I have ever seen. I can't believe Kate could show her face after that farce.

Bristol can surely do better than that? Or are we to learn that talentless nobodies can earn their fame by overexposing their uteruses?

As is the Palin ability to illicit empathy (for them, not for others, servants heart my ass) I almost already feel sorry for Bristol - until I remember her nasty and horrible texts and FB posts to Mercede.

Yep, them bots will vote for Bristol to make their conservative North Star shine and represent.

As for Sarah co-opting the true meaning of feminism, iconic representation of maternal love, commonsense and everything Alaska, we need to nip this North Star brand in the bud. It's the f'ing North Star Sarah, it's not yours you NP-oD'ing megolamaniac!

Bristol is just like her mother; neither can read and neither one of them thinks that the rules apply to them.

Bristol is just like her mother. Sarah is paid $100,000. to deliver a speech. Sarah does a p*ss poor job of it, reading notes, stringing phrases together, refusing to answer questions, and Bristol has the same work ethic in preparing for a job.

Dancing with the Stars generates tremendous publicity, and is among the top rated reality shows. The reason that Bristol was hired is because she was supposed to be the Sarah-like-diva who stirs up trouble and draws attention. The unpaid benefit is all of the publicity from Sarah's tweets.

Look at Bristol! For 19 or 20, she is not attractive and she is chunky. She was no actress, and she doesn't look like she can dance, either. No wonder she said that she would be modestly dressed. But, it won't cover up the fact that she was cast for publicity value, not because she was going to be a good performer.

Again, I find DWTS stars unwatchable but the nightly tabloid shows like TMZ, ET, Access Hollywood, and E News are all over this show and it's contestants like flies on shit. That is the reason it does so well. They cook up fake romance rumors, wait outside rehearsal and cast parties. It is part of the "dill", and now Bristol isn't so happy...just like her mama when she can't control everything.

Bristol will bail, and use her little money maker baby as an excuse after she collects the $125K

    ReplyDelete
  18. Anonymous7:25 AM

She'll be 'sleeping with the stars' before her star is dimmed. She's grifter, pure and simple. And as far as 'modestly' goes in her dress. Guess the tight pants are 'modest' in her narrow view?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Those pictures are very telling. On the left, a dancer, not just body, whole pose, dress, attitude. On the right, a little girl with a "see Mom, I did it" look on her face. No contest here.

Las Vegas oddsmaker puts Bristol Palin at the bottom of the pile to win Dancing With the (Who Are These People?) Stars with odds of 35 to 1. Even 76-year-old Florence Henderson comes in ahead of her. Ouch…that’s gotta hurt!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anonymous7:41 AM

From the sound of it, she may actually quit before the show even starts. What exactly did she think she was getting in to?

She doesn't want to do press conferences? Well, that's part of the job (the one you're getting paid way to much to do). She wants more "modest" clothes? Why? Because anything sexy won't look "abstinent" enough? I guess she didn't know what you were getting into.

Maybe Bristol should have "blinked" before saying yes (whoa, deja vu!)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Anonymous7:54 AM

Something seemed off when it was reported Bristol said she had worked 9-5 in AK, so she'd have more time to spend with her son doing DWTS. I thought she is clueless about the time needed by even professionals to rehearse for performances much less any publicity, wardrobe fittings, and on stage tech rehearsals.

A sensible person who had a clue of reality would have chosen to prepare for the physical demands of this opportunity. Anyone who has not had dance training and is unfamiliar with terminology like Kate Gosselin will have a difficult time.

At least Bristol has some acting experience to bring to her performance. Oh wait, she said acting is not for her. Oops, another lie she's sticking to speaking gigs. This will be a huge learning experience for her. By this photo she is learning to look happy and show some expression other than contempt of her teacher. lol (couldn't resist)
    Does he have a title?

    ReplyDelete
  24. emrysa7:56 AM

hahaha that article in the sun times was funny.

maybe that's why they signed her on the show, tho - there always has to be a difficult person whose purpose is to stir up the drama, a whining complainer. and really who better than the daughter of the biggest whining complainer of all?

jeezus how embarrassing to know that's the only reason you are hired for a job.

I hate to say it, folks, but Bristol's dumpy, frumpy, clumsiness will only endear her to the Bots. And we will be accused of being mean.

Meanwhile, backstage, Bristol is pulling hair and sabotaging outfits.

Ain't that the way it always is with Palin-Heath girls?

As a chunky single mother who had a child out of wedlock, I agree with Mercedes that Bristol is sending the wrong message to other teen-aged girls about being a teen mother. It is hard as hell but somehow I have ended up with a intelligent, thoughtful child.

But, don't "slay" me here, I don't think her weight should be an issue. She is a somewhat attractive girl (on the outside) with beautiful skin. Because she is a stone or two over a size zero, shouldn't be an issue.

Dancing with the Stars needs more plus sized dancers.

Instead of slamming her for being a diva, brat,& terrible mother, we should focus on how wonderful it is that she is a role model for plus sized 20 year olds that want to get more exercise & hang out with attractive gay men in really tight pants.

Good for you Bristol!!!!You can be the spokesperson for the rest of us!!!!

Isn't this the first time in her young life that she is going to have to do real work? 6 hours of dancing a day is a lot of work, and she must be exhausted. That will up the whining just like Kate "this is to hard" did on the show.

Even that Pussycat doll who won had meltdowns. Get the popcorn ready for some great fireworks. They have the cameras on the "stars" all the time so there should be some good stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Per Bristol re DWTS:
-chance to demonstrate her work ethic
-spend more time with her toddler
-be a role model for Moms to balance work and family
    -family values
    -be modest, dress modestly
    -lose weight during the show
    -worked 8-5 when not traveling
alot being gone for days to a week at a time
(how does a person work full time, 8-5 while not being in town?)

Is it 'diva' to be adamant to wear what she usually wears when hired for a performance/costumed show?

If instant fame came one's way for whatever reason and you chose to seize it, it's a choice. However playing the regular 8-5 working folk, struggling teen mom 'regular' person BS while playing the christian card goes way too far. Also speaking malice of someone doing the same, bad mouthing is outright malice toward others. Yet they demand preferential treatment, envy for the same while seeking someone else be ridiculed and spit on.

It is obvious who seeks the limelight. Their duplicity shsall do them in.

    Hipocracy here???

From Candies website: Teen girls who have been exposed to the foundation and its messages are more likely to view teen pregnancy and parenthood as stressful and negative, and they are more likely to be skeptical of the media’s portrayal of teen pregnancy and parenting. They also think teens should wait longer to have sex than girls who are not aware of the foundation and its messages.

  38. When the celebrities hit the floor in September on Dancing With The Stars, America's most famous unwed mother, Bristol Palin, will be shakin' what her mamma gave her...and better still, her mamma, that Russia watching, moose shooting, pageant winning, president-in-waiting, Sarah "Grizzly" Palin, will be front and center right next to the first dude, flanked by six burly guys in shades and ear-pieces. It's a blogger's wet dream.

With any luck, Kathy Griffin will show up courtside with Levi Johnston, and we'll be treated
    the first televised DWTS catfight.

You know what my guess is on Bristol having trouble adjusting and not following her contract? Todd and Sarah headed there to spend the weekend w/her - wanna bet it will be to jump in and help their baby daughter get what she wants and to hell w/the written word on the contract! We all, in Alaska, know how Palin operates and I feel sorry for the folks working behind the scenes w/DWTS. Why would anyone even want to work w/the Palins. Mark, her partner, uses humor to make her more comfortable, as she is naturally shy. I think she'll do fine. And please, aren't you all above mocking a woman's weight? Because not only is that middle schoolish (what yall accuse Sarah of being) but it's morally repugnant.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Anonymous5:56 PM

I wish people wouldn't snark on Bristol's weight. Yes, she' a little pudgy, but so was Kellie Osborn. She shaped up quite a bit during the show and did a great job.

Now the diva business I can totally believe, especially after the Homer episode. It will be interesting to see if the Elder Palins try to influence Bristol's contract to limit her press exposure (for the sake of the child, of course). Like her Mom, I don't expect that she has much of a work ethic, so I could also see her dropping out early after guaranteeing the initial money.
