Now Sarah claims to have given birth to Trig in Anchorage. What is wrong Sarah can't keep the lies straight anymore?
There are numerous lies in this clip. From Sarah's claim to have "caught" a caribou (when as we learned from Malia Litman's blog she would have been breaking the law to have done so), to claiming that there were "half a million people" at Glenn Beck's KKK rally, to Palin's biggest lie about giving birth to Trig.
If you don't want to listen to the whole clip that is fine and I certainly do not blame you, after all it is mostly the same cookie cutter speech she always tells,
However I would like you to listen to the portion that starts right around 14:38. This is the beginning of her ever evolving tale of the birth of Trig Paxson Van Palin. She brings up the "sourdoughs" that she felt would belittle her pregnancy. She mentions that she hid it for seven months (listen for the audible gasp that emanates from several women), and that it was easy to hide because of the layers of clothes that she was able to put on due to the weather. She again mentions that her staff were too nice to mention her getting "chunky". (I addressed many of these lies in my post from Saturday) Then she makes fun of the bloggers who still challenge her birth story (The "haters" she calls us).
Then she adds a new wrinkle to her mythology when she nonchalantly mentions that she and Todd flew home ("Can't have a fish picker born in Texas") and had the baby in ANCHORAGE!
Anchorage? Okay well that is not right now is it? Everybody knows that Trig was born in the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Wasilla.
So what is going on?
IS it possible that Sarah Palin FORGOT one of the important elements of a story that she tells over and over again?
Did she confuse Trig's birth with the birth of another of her children? (Unlikely as I believe ALL of her children were born in the Valley.)
Or is she subtly changing the story, one detail at a time, so that it does not sound so insane when it gets reported during her run for the Presidency in 2012? (That will some trick since there are hundreds of news reports and blog posts that lay out all of the details of her "Wild Ride" and miraculous delivery in Wasilla. Not to mention on pg. 195 of her own book.)
That seems like an awfully big detail to get wrong to me.
Get the baby's birth weight wrong, I can see that. Forget the time you delivered, could happen to anybody. But forget which hospital you "gave birth" in, after telling the story a hundred times, and writing a book about it?
Nope, I don't understand that one little bit.
