I don't know about the rest of you but my money says that when it comes to a demonstration of support the Colbert Nation would wipe the floor with the pudgy pasty white Beckerheads.
What do you think?
Absolutely ~ Even though Stephen has this amazing ability to show the humor in his own way, I would definitely prefer Jon taking the lead :) but hey, Stephen is good none the less
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!
ReplyDeleteIf Colbert (and Stewart, I hope) do the Truthiness rally, I will be there.
ReplyDeleteI can envision what they're planning...
ReplyDeleteColbert and Stewart will announce that they're holding a joint Truthiness Rally* right here in Alaska. First, there will be a stop at Lake Lucille just long enough for some geese to fly overhead. That'll be the sign from God that Colbert and Stewart are the chosen Soldiers of Truthiness. The geese fly-by will be followed by an exclusive meet and greet at the Menard Sports Center for the movement's inside track. Afterward, truth fans will drive in a giant motorcade from Wasilla to Anchorage to hold the rally at the Dena'ina Center. Speakers will inspire the audience with tales of verifiable honest truth. Upon hearing the truth, the worthy will achieve enlightenment. Cookies and milk will be served immediately following the speeches.
* Tickets available at Ticketmaster.
I am so there.
ReplyDeleteI'd be so there...10/2 and then this...it would be the best way to invalidate Beck's rally...
ReplyDeleteYou guys realize Colbert and Stewart are only comedians, right? I hope you get your news from more reputable sources.
ReplyDeleteI hope they join up with the One Nation rally on the Mall on Oct 2. It would be great to bring Truthiness to all the other great Progressive groups already lined up.
ReplyDeleteDoing this takes a lot of planning and ON already has all the permits and stuff lined up.
Let's join them. I think there are GOTV events planned in many more cities that day.
Please oh Please oh Please let it be so!! I live 1 hour from DC and my ass is there!
ReplyDeleteGryphen, the guest room is yours if you wanna fly down for it. Epic with a side of geese, kids!
Religious vomit, under most circumstances I would love your name.....your comment though requires a response.
ReplyDeleteThey are comedians, yes.....but for the past 10 years they have been some of the few people on prominent television shows who have actually spoken the truth about what is going on in our country.
If it takes a comedian to do that, I am all over it.
Al Franken has turned out to be a great senator for the state of Minnesota, hasn't he?
i will drive the 12 hours to dc and drag my chronically pained and body to join in such a demonstration!
ReplyDelete"pudgy pasty white Beckerheads"
ReplyDeleteI, sir, am proud to be a pudgy, pasty, white COLBERTHEAD!
I like it.
ReplyDeleteDeewicket? That's ColbertTete--coalbear-tet
ReplyDeleteReligious Vomit? Why yes, you are.
ReplyDeleteI would be there, cause they are America and I can too. Also.
ReplyDeleteA la Liz Lemon, but ironically can pass for Gov. Brewer and quarter-timeQuittySpanx: I want to go to there.

Is ReligiousVomit saying at least by implication that Glenn Beck is not a comedian? I prefer my comedians to have some gravitas, and Stewart and Colbert certainly beat Beck in that regard.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go witness Stephen out Beck Beck on the Lincoln Steps. Especially if Jon Stewart should happen to show up to do a Beck imitation. But alas school started yesterday and there is no way I could take time off from work to fly to D.C. just to see the Colbert Nation show them how it's done.
ReplyDeleteBut I would be there in spirit. And I'd love to see it televised.
