Here is a fundraising letter that Miller's campaign has sent out:
Greetings,
We don't want to loose the momentumn of this great campaign!! We are going to get Joe Miller elected, it's just that for reasons we don't understand God wants us to have a waiting spell. :) We need to be wise as serpents (Since when are serpents "wise?") and gentle as doves, and keep the campaign uplifted in constant prayer.
In order for Joe to keep campaigning he needs funds. So far the Lord has always provided the money in this grass roots campaign (And by "God" they mean the "Tea Party Express" who provided $600,000 in funding for thie "grass roots" campaign. Isn't "God" great!), and this time God is going to use you to provide!
A fundraiser will be held at Campaign Headquarters on Monday from 5:00-8:30 pm. We need as many people to show up and make this a great event for the campaign. Joe and Kathleen will both be joining us, let's encourage them by showing all the support we can. The one way they need us right now is through donating funds!! It cost alot of money to run a clean campaign and we all know that Joe's campaign isn't receiving any monies from corporations or from out of State entities.
Refreshments will be provided

Hmm an Open House on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00? Gee I guess I know what I am doing Monday evening.
By the way it looks like if Joe Miller gets his way that those who are born in the near future will not have access to the same Social Security benefits that their parents will enjoy when THEY retire.
KING: "It is an issue that you well know can be easily demagogued, so I want to deliver a statement. You tell me if it's fair or not: That anybody in the system or close to the system is fine. We won't do anything significant to change your benefits. But how about an American born tomorrow or born the day after Joe Miller was sworn in in Washington? Would that person perhaps grow up in an America where there is not a federal Social Security program if you got your way?
MILLER: "Absolutely.
KING: "That's a fair statement?"
MILLER: "No demagoguery there at all."
So apparently any Alaska parents, or future parents, that vote FOR Joe Miller are voting AGAINST their children having social security when they reach 65. Or perhaps they simply assume that "God" will provide for their offspring in their golden years just like He did for the Miller campaign?
Gryphen, I gotta tell you. "Butt Boy" will definitely make it into the next VF Palin expose. Just sayin.
ReplyDeleteWhomever wrote that drivel never graduated high school. Jeebus, teh stoopid, it burns!
ReplyDeleteOmg! Gryf....that headline is your ALL TIME BEST!!! I am still laughing. Sarah's Butt Boy....hahaha! Is he limp and impotent.
ReplyDeleteMana from heaven.....:)
Excellent post as well!
Is that his typo "loose" momentum? Because really? That's just damn sad. If it's yours, that's fine - I love ya Griff. :) You can typo all you want.
ReplyDelete(Love you calling him a butt boy!)
Obviously since they haven't been running a clean campaign, "God" must'nt have given them enough money in the past. Is that what they are trying to tell us? At least we know the demographic crowd he is aiming for. If that also includes the older population, they better take a look at what he wants to do with Social Security.
ReplyDeleteits not like anyone under the age of 50 will see SS anyhow. Why not privately save for your future? Self-reliance is the only way. What are we teaching our children?
ReplyDeleteTea Party Express = out of state entities...
ReplyDeleteI caught this on Keith & found the story on HuffPo:
ReplyDeleteAlaska Republican Joe Miller is telling his supporters that he is refusing to take corporate and out-of-state money, yet the Tea-Party-backed candidate has hired a prominent K Street fundraiser to help with his bid for the Senate.
Miller, to date, has relied extensively on the Lord to raise funds for his Senate run, his campaign told supporters in an email sent Sunday evening that was obtained by HuffPost.
"So far the Lord has always provided the money in this grass roots campaign, and this time God is going to use you to provide!" Miller's campaign told supporters, inviting them to attend a fundraiser with Miller and his wife. "It cost alot of money to run a clean campaign and we all know that Joe's campaign isn't receiving any monies from corporations or from out of State entities."
That pledge, however, runs counter to news, broken by Roll Call, that Miller has hired Mike Gula, a high-powered Washington fundraiser with The Gula Graham Group. K Street will now be supplementing the Lord's work. "Gula is in the process of assembling a K Street steering committee on behalf of the Miller campaign, and sources say he would not have taken Miller on if he didn't think he could raise political action committee money for him," Roll Call reported Friday. Gula and Miller did not immediately return calls requesting comment.
Gee all that God sends me is letters with plastic crosses and asks for money. Isn't SarahPac money suppose to go to Joe?
ReplyDelete"Sarah's Butt Boy" needs to go viral.
ReplyDeleteOh, and any nitwit who doesn't know the difference between the words "loose" and "lose" should deserve to lose in November.
I agree with 5:17. Dump social security, we should invest for our own futures. Self reliance! I put my money in some solid corporations: General Motors, Enron, Worldcom, Lehmen Brothers. My broker, Goldman Sachs, recommended them. Oops. Well, at least some of it is deposited in Bank of America. Oh right, that got bailed out with Obama's socialist dollars. Good thing my deposits are insured by FDIC ... I forget, what does the "F" stand for?
ReplyDelete"loose momentumn" what is that? who wrote this drivel?
ReplyDeleteWhere are the all CAPS? Needs more punctuation too. More smiley faces would have sold me more. And also perhaps a shout out to the troops and progressing unborn babies.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for water and chips and creepy righteous smiles.
MY GOD, these are grown-ups with jobs and influence. . .it boggles the mind, makes me sad. And then mad.
"Loose" the momentum? Some one needs spell check.
ReplyDeleteYou've read the New Yorker article about the men who are the financial backers of the Tea Party haven't you? One word: Fascists.
God lives in Kansas and his name is the Koch brothers- the billionaires who fund the Tea Party Express and thereby Joe Miller's campaign.
ReplyDeleteFor Miller to say that he hasn't taken out of state special interest money while out of state special interests spent $500,000 lying about Lisa Murkowski is sort of like....
Bill Clinton saying he didn't have
sex.
Aside from being a throwaway toy for Palin, Joe Miller is bonkers.
I find certain phrases offensive.
ReplyDeleteThey carry specific meanings.
If it is used here as a general assessment of Miller's suitability for office- then that phrase is OFFENSIVE. That may be what you intended, and it is your right to offend both persons unknown and named.
I wonder if you intend the reader to wonder- are the red Naughty Monkey Double Dare Pumps being purchased in mens sizes? Or are we to wonder something else (maybe even more graphic) along those lines? The phrase is not offensive then! Someone else says they know something in the comments.
I wanted to get the name of the shoes right- Those shoes are available online for less than $90.00!
Those are some CHEAP ASS inappropriate shoes! No wonder the "RNC GRIFT CARD" got so much use.
If he wins the election: how will they archive the etch-a-sketch that this bozoid will use on the job?
To paraphrase George Carlin God loves you but if you don't listen to him he will send you to burn in Hell for eternity and he needs money.Good luck with that you Palinbot.
ReplyDeleteNow if he can just keep his wife off of the Wild Turkey and from threatening the bar patrons.
ReplyDeleteFor a man who pretends to be a Christian, I wonder what part NOT using God's Name in Vain, doesn't he understand?
ReplyDeleteButt Boy is just plain nasty looking.
ReplyDeleteGood point, NoMooseStew - what about all that PAC $$? Is there no one
ReplyDeletethat group needs to answer too? How
could anybody vote for this guy.
Does he have a family? How about his wife, does she work? Also, he did not
complete the 5 yr. compulsory military
committment required of West Point
grads. That point was mentioned in the ADN comments about him, but not
answered.
Sharon TN
Yes, he has a family. 8 kids. Homeschooled. Wife works for him in his law practice helping abusive men take custody from fit moms in her spare time and making sure right-to-life X-tian judges are getting seats in our courts.
ReplyDeleteI dought if many people in Alaska, unless their on the internet even know about the 600k Miller received from the Tea Party. Remember this is how Sarah was elected Gov, coming in under the radar with a wink and family values...
ReplyDeleteIs this too specific for you, Joe?
ReplyDeleteJust from your August 48 hour contribution records leading up to the primary(according to FEC records):
$9600 from the Honeycutts of LA
$2000 from Rowan in PA
$2400 from Brooks in WA
$5000 via vote cager Washington Intelligence Bureau for Freedoms Defense Fund and Veterans for Victory Pac
$9600 from the Dudenhefers in LA
$1000 from Southern Media in GUAM
This is too easy, like shooting goldfish in the bowl ferhevvin's sake.
What a dim bulb.
MicMac
Plus, did anyone notice that the Miller campaign has received a Notice of Failure to File from the FEC?
ReplyDeleteApparently has not filed his July 1 through Aug 4 report yet.
They must be trying to erase the crayon marks.
Boy he gonna make sum Sennater.
