Wait! Is there a glaring omission in this Fox News promo?

Okay I watched it twice and I can't help but notice that one of the Fox channels talking heads is clearly missing. I believe I saw Megyn Kelly, Bret Baier, Shep Smith, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Greta Van Susteren all prominently displayed but  I can't shake the feeling that somebody did not make the cut.

Hmmm, who could it be?

Let me go through the faces again.  Okay pretty blond who may be psychotic, check.  Guy that looks like Sean Hannity's kid brother, check. Guy that clearly belongs on a REAL cable news station, check. Arrogant prick, check. Sarah Palin panty sniffer, check.  Sister of the beast, check. Wait...

Where is the little pudgy developmentally delayed guy who is always crying?

Where is the Beckster?

Isn't HE like one of the biggest draws on the Fox network?  Why would he be excluded from the promo?

Is it because he is hemorrhaging advertisers like a gutted pig!

Is it because Rupert Murdoch finally realizes that he has created a monster bent on world domination and does not want the Fox News viewers/villagers to come after HIM with torches and  pitchforks when they finally decide they don't want to be terrorized by Beck's insanity anymore? (Of course he might take solace in knowing that the crowd that turns on him will probably be larger than the crowd that Beck can actually attract on his own.)

Or is it because they have finally realized that Glenn was really only in it for himself all along?

Hmm could it finally be that Beck has gone too far even by Rupert Murdoch/Fox News standards? Could be. Even Rupert Murdoch must have SOME limit to how much poison he is willing to spread on the airwaves.

By the way sources are telling me that there will be a fairly impressive group of protesters outside of the Dena'ina Center during Beck's appearance along with Sarah Palin this Saturday.  Perhaps I will be able to bring you some footage of that so you can see for yourselves that not ALL Alaskans are crazed Teabaggers and Sarah Palin acolytes.

be careful about that protest gryphen.. you know it's going to be spun as "anti-military un-patriotic liberals - how can they protest against a vigil/memorial service for the 911 victims???"

Bexk & Palin together in Anchorage 9/11.....is this when the Beck - renowed religous leader - blesses Sarah Queen of the North (Star) before she triumphantly rides into Montana to await the monment when she leads the faithful against the evil hord?

Why are we all living in Sarah's fantasy?

Maybe its because Beck has resigned from the station, for a higher calling... And it hasn't been made public yet??

  5. There may be an impressive group of protestors but it remains there is an impressive number of people who wanted to pay to hear Beck, the new evangelist as of two weeks ago.

Palin and Beck are a twosome looked up to by many to be the saviors of our country convinced some are the evil doers falsely.

My religious upbringing did not teach anything about the disciples of God telling blatant lies nor hauling in millions terrorizing people via lies spinning dramas the false prophets claim they shall deliver people from.

No doubt only "real Americans" will attend the Beck Palin fest profiting from 9/11. C4P will ridicule Obama he did not charge people, make money or arrange for a huge crowd. He who rakes in the big bucks is superior in the See pond.

If people in Alaska are going to protest the Palin/Beck/palooza, I would like to suggest that some big blue "Worst Governor Ever" banners be included. I don't think that Sarah likes them. If someone is creative, they can think up a blue banner for Beck, such as "Worst Crybaby Ever."

    woo-hoo!!

Looks like you found an excuse to go outside and get some fresh air.

Don't forget to wear a disguise so Sarah won't recognize you.

Hmmmm, I won't believe Rupert has given up on Beck until he no longer pollutes the airwaves. I didn't see their top political analyst either - the quitter twit(ter).
Could it be? The gruesome twosome being dropped by Faux? Don't we wish. LOL!

Have a wonderful protest. I'll definitely be there in spirit. Carry a sign for me.

Beck was never considered to be on the "NEWS" team.
Maybe that's why he isn't there.

I feel that if repubs said or did nothing from now til the nov election, america would surely vote repub across the country.

Also, I have a feeling Glenn wasn't rejected but as decided to go solo. And his anchorage rally thing is the starting point. He needed a fanbase. Fox gave him that base. Now its time to really start working. And going to the most controversial state right now right after his controversial dc rally is telling.

I think is in very poor taste to have a picture of Rachel Corrie's dead bloody face on your front page with no warning. None of your other blog links have pictures why this one from Phil?

I imagine being a citizen of Alaska living in the torturous shadow of Sister Sarah, must not be unlike what the brother of Ted Kaczynski (Dave), must feel. My heart goes out to you all, for your pain.
But know that all of us, in the lower 48, are bolstered by the strength you display, and your fortitude in plugging along doing your best to unearth the pertinent information needed to bring Sarah down.

Carry on,and stay strong. It is not for naught. We will rejoice with you when the job is done.

I wouldn't say that Beck is becoming unpopular. Unfortunately his popularity is soaring because he is saying what his followers want to hear. What's the point in denying that truth that his ratings on Fox are rising continuously?

I'd sure like to see that, but it's hard for us from the "outside" (is that what it's called?) to get a handle on the goings on up there, among the few hundred thousand residents (smaller than my mid sized metro area). If you do go, be careful! And tell anyone not drinking the Kool-Aid to be careful too.

The BEST way to protest, actually there are two ways:

    1) Signs that say, Beck/Palin personally profiting from 9/11? Where do proceeds go?

    2) bible verses about peace and love and forgivness

I watched the promo before reading the comments and my thought is the same as Angels's. Glenn Beck's show isn't promoted as a news show and the promo is clearly for the upcoming "fair and balanced" election coverage. I thinks thats why the Beckster didn't make the cut.

Just hoping it's not because he and Sarah have teamed up for 2012. I know Beck says he would never run for President and would never serve as VP to Palin, but stranger things have happened and neither Beck nor Palin are what we could call stable.

Maybe they are just going to go on a run of dog&pony shows, seeing how much support they can garner.

Maybe they will draw some attention away from that disgusting church in FL.

I just heard that the "pastor" there said he would rethink things if President Obama would call him personally. Gosh, can we say "EGO?"

Has Beck condemned the proposed Koran burning yet? Has Faux News?

Gryphen, I'm glad you watch Fox so we don't have to. That's really taking one for the team.

  23. Anonymous10:14 AM

As much as I like you, Gryphen, please don't refer to Beck as "developmentally delayed." It's insulting to the people who are. My son is FAR more intelligent than Beck.

  24. Anonymous10:29 AM

Perhaps Beck is going to join the Kelsey Grammer network. However, it sure would be a come-down in audience because, as I understand it, that network will have limited broadcast ability for a while through Verizon FiOS and will be available on an on-demand basis. I heard they only have a few shows and will run reruns of William F. Buckley and Milton Friedman's shows.

Still, Beck and Palin could be relatively Big Fish in that little pond. Grammer says RigthNetwork is not backed by "right-wing nuts."

Yeah, we'll see. I want to know where his backing money is coming from. I know I have lost even more respect for Verizon - first the Google-Verizon deal and now it is the vehicle for this ultra-conservative network. No Verizon phones for me.

    or

"9-11-01 is a day we all came together as ONE nation. 9-11-10 is a day that grifters made money off of the deaths of over 3,000 people and divide us. Shame on Palin-Beck!"

Hopefully Palin will-very patriotically-donate the proceeds of this "event" to the troops she so desperately needs for her new (and improved) neocon war in the Middle East.

I did go to TicketMaster to see if there were any left for the event on Saturday - Seats in section E, row 40 in the 'dry section' readily available.

Maybe they left Glen out because he's planning to jump ship and either start his own network or join the Palin TV dysfunctional family. Maybe that's the big announcement Saturday.

I refuse to call this Becky/Paylin love feast a memorial for the 9/11 victims. It is more of a make Beck and Palin richer rally. It should be called something like "Two pigs for the Price of One Rally."

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous12:27 PM

And, it could be because Beck is going to do his own thing as to the network? Might that be what could be announced on 9/11? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

  34. Anonymous12:35 PM

I read in the ADN today that there are 4000+ seats and all have been sold except for 1000. But, they expect them to be completely sold by 9/11. I am so sick of seeing Alaskans continue to support Palin. It is unbelievable that her being a fraud and liar has been proven time and time again and people here still are following her like sheep.

Look at the elections we have coming up in November here in Alaska. It is a f- - - - mess! It is idiotic!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous12:46 PM

The promo sounded like they had Darth Vader doing it. Correction... that crazy blond chick on Fox actually is psycho. You may be the last hope for Alaska's image & support from the lower 48. I know there are a lot of good people up there but the apathy & the "progressive Alaskans" egregious s*** is leaving the rest of us discouraged & disappointed. Onward through the storm.

"vigil/memorial service for the 911 victims" says emrysa @7:07

Maybe if the sign holders had signs saying "9/11 vigil, I'll drink to that" they wouldn't be called "anit-military un-patriotic liberals".

    ReplyDelete
  37. imnofred1:53 PM

If it is true that 3,000 plus seats have been sold, I wonder how many of those Fox and their sponsors bought so that they can show a bigger crowd. Also wonder if FreedomWorks and the Koch brothers have a hand in this. I think Beck is more of a draw than Palin.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anonymous3:00 PM

Of the 2 of them,I think Palin is the more dangerous. He's an unsavory useful tool for the fringe right, but he doesn't drag his family around as protective props like she does - her whole extended family is in on the scam & take turns flying around with her. Also, Beck is more of a bizarre spectacle - he admits he's an entertainer. Beck would have people
think that he's 'using' Palin in this
Anchorage flim/flam, but it's more likely IMHO, it was her idea & also
for the 'thing'- whatever it was - in DC. It's her pugnacious mug that certain big money power brokers want
    you to keep seeing coast-to-coast,
    24/7.

    9/11 took 3,000+ lives & thousands
more counting troop loses & innocent
Iraqi lives. Palin & Beck are using it for a money=making prop
