The Alaska media is slackjawed at the incredible hatred and violence promoted by Sarah Palin's supporters. Gee guys where have you been?

From the Frontiersman:

The story went up on the newspaper’s website. Minutes later, dozens of Sarah Palin-related sites had linked to the story. On Monday, our website had about 4,300 hits. After the story broke Tuesday, that number climbed to 8,700. Wednesday hits spiked to 75,000 and by Thursday afternoon we’d had more than 200,000 hits, mostly from new visitors.

Even after we broke the story that Christy is not in Alaska and has never been to Alaska, threats against him continued on our website and Facebook page. Many comments were not approved because they suggested hunting Christy and killing him.

Folks asked us to post a picture of the young man so “decent” people could hunt him down and kill him. And that is exactly why we won’t publish a photo that could identify him.
We were shocked at the number of people from across the U.S. calling for his death and offering to pull the trigger on a .45 loaded with “liberal lead.”

Apparently Christy has not only been threatened on the pages of pro-Sarah Palin websites and the Frontiersman,  it has reached his hometown as well.

Based on his public trial and suggested execution, his hometown police department has brought in patrols from neighboring towns to help protect his family.

No one in the Christy family denies Shawn Christy made more than 100 threats to various public officials. Even his parents aren’t sure why he hasn’t been arrested.

The Christys are conservative Christian people who heat with wood and homeschooled their son through high school. Shawn Christy is not liberal. He does not hate Sarah Palin; he’s a fan — a young fan obsessed and then frustrated because he wanted to make contact with the Palins and be part of their phenomenon.

“I was in the wrong,” Shawn Christy admitted from his parents’ home in Pennsylvania.
His speech isn’t clear. But his ideas are.

There is no crime this young man could have committed, been charged with and convicted for that would give anyone the right to hunt and kill him as so many of the commentors suggested.

Now are Alaskans finally starting to see just how dangerous the people who support Sarah Palin are? Good, because there are people in this state who can actually do something about it!  And you know who you are.

And for all of you who want to know why I spend so much time calling Sarah Palin out on her lies and revealing the unflattering truth about her, hopefully this story will give you some idea of how important it is to put a stop to her influence in politics and her ability to foment this kind of violence and hatred.

Please click the link to read the entire article over at the Frontiersman, especially the comments as they are very interesting.

  1. My hope is that a lot of Palins followers are "all show and no go".
I really wonder how many souls would be stupid enough to pick up a gun and do her bidding if she asked them. My guess is she doesn't have the nerve. Does Todd?

    Take her down Karl..enough already!

Many politicians and celebrities have fans who are so crazed with their affection that they stalk and sometimes even kill the one they love. I have no doubt that during the 2008 campaign, Sarah, John, Barack and Joe all got their share of threats, real and crazy. And, Sarah (and her BFF) have every right to request a restraining order to protect themselves.

But, Sarah is making an issue out of an 18 year old kid who clearly has mental problems. Sarah shows her immaturity and mean queen nature when she snarled in reference to Joe McGinniss "the freak." No, Sarah, Joe is not the freak. It is freakish behavior to issue a juvenile slur at some whose professional credits in journalism put yours to shame. Joe actually does write his own books, and the reason that Sarah feared him is that he is such a good reporter/journalist that he digs until he finds the truth.

McGinniss wrote with loving praise about an Italian soccer team until he discovered that some of his idols had feet of clay. He still published the book, warts and all. He was hired to write a book praising an Army doctor accused of murdering his wife and children. Joe followed the trial and the doctor until his opinion changed, and he began to feel that the doctor really did commit the crime.
    So,

Sarah had every reason Joe writing about her. He didn't have to live next door; that was icing on the cake. That provoked Todd the Fence Builder and unleashed the Hounds of Hell, probably worth an additional chapter that he hadn't planned on.

It's hard to feel sympathy for Sarah being stalked by an 18 year old kid who wrote threatening letters to other politicians in addition to Sarah. Sarah really tore into a prankster in Tennessee. She kept up a week long campaign against David Letterman for making a joke about Sarah's unwed teen daughter who is famous for having a child out of wedlock (not Willow). Sarah is so busy calling people names that when it comes to leading the Hate Parade, Sarah is finally showing what kind of leader she would be, a despot.

The Frontiersman's learning curve must be pretty flat since it was their paper who offered the threat of "deadly force" as an option against Joe McGinnis when he moved in next door to the Palins. McGinnis received over 4,000 threatening emails by Sarah Palin's "Christian" fans.

Now we're supposed to believe that the Frontiersman has finally bought a clue about Sarah Palin's nasty fan base?

Joe McGinnis said it best MONTHS ago: "Sarah Palin pushes a button, and hate comes out."

Hate and encouraging hate/violence starts at the top with their leader, Mrs. Sarah Palin.

Sarah has more to fear from her followers than her enemies. The unhinged followers who believe Sarah to be a saint will turn on her and eat her alive if she doesn't run for office. Her enemies do not wish to hurt Sarah, they only mean to expose her lies so that the whole world will see her feet are made of buffalo dung. Sarah opens her mouth and hatred spews. Sarah is more Medusa than saint. When you build your empire on hatred, sexual innuendo and tease, expect trouble from your followers.

Exactly why I originally thought this story was a setup to deflect from Sowah's obviously being "booed" earlier this week. As in: "See? Pity poor me! I have a stalker who 'loves' me enough to have to get a restraining order against him!" Now, it's "See? I have a stalker who I have a restraining order against, and all my true fans who ADORE me want to rip him apart. All for ME!!!"

I hope the local media publicizing the scope of this insanity will prove to the general public the deranged mental state of SP's devoted cult that we knew all along. I also hope that this is all being saved for future (2012) reference.

Celebrities and politicians are not responsible for what their loyal fans do. Remember eminems biggest fan? The guy who put his pg girlfriend in the trunk, drank a 5th of whisky and drove off a cliff? And all because eminems response to a fan letter was too late. Its not sarahs fault people are drawn to her passionately. People admire those who are like themselves. To say she incites hatred is wrong. She only is trying to hold obama accountable for his misdeeds and lies. For the moment sarahs record is not under scrutiny. If she runs, it will be. Obamas record and lies have been ignored by the MSM and that is wrong and unfair to honest America.

Well, yes, many people do. But even if she is killed, she will probably still pop up on the news each and every day. And Team Sarah will see to it she is elected president posthumously.

With all the incendiary words Sarah and her buddies use to incite hate and violence toward her "enemies"it is sure to confuse some of her supporters. There is also a problem of friendly fire.

Much has been said about the Palins being vengeful and throwing people under the bus who dare to tell the truth about Sarah. But aren't the Palins also involved with some AIP people who are bullies and threaten anybody who speaks up? I remember reading about how these bullies helped her get elected as mayor of Wasilla. I wonder if the Palins have goons running interference between Sarah and anybody who might speak out against her.

I'm not sure who Palin resembles more -- Saddam Hussein or Jim Jones. She turns her "Republican Guard" on anyone who even stares at her the wrong way. And her followers seem so willing to do her bidding that I'm sure there would be a huge number ready to move to the jungle with her and drink the kool-aid if ordered. But now, for the first time in my memory, her own hate has been turned back on her. This kid was a "fan". She stoked the crazy and now she's reaping the reward. I'm sorry for this boy's problems, but Sarah, you deserve every ounce of fear and insecurity that this incident has given you. He's one of yours.

Sarah has her share of crazies among her followers. One of them is a teacher in up-state New York. Posting her name would not be a kindness to her, but many people recognize who she is by her fan-worship blog devoted to Sarah, and the fact that she traveled to Alaska to see Sarah at her farewell picnics. Recently, the devoted fan requested the opportunity to interview her idol in person, and she was turned down. Instead of interviewing Sarah, the fan interviewed a Sarah-look alike, not quite Tina Fey quality, but a Sarah Stand In. That's creepy.

  23. Sarah Palin lies to manipulate people to hate her opponents, anyone who speaks truth which threatens her web of deception. Palin is not like those she preys on who are weak, trust blindly and have come to only listen to her sucked into her pathalogical con job. It is frightening how many would murder for the one who has pulled the wool over their eyes.

I honestly believe Palin has no human emotions and would be glad if those who threaten her fraudulent existence were physically assassinated.

Excellent point that Palin was not the only person who reeived calls and threats from Christy.

Palin won't stop talking about McGinnis just as she would not cease the lies Obama is a terorist etc. despite the escalation of threats. It is another lie she is not responsible for the poisonous to murderous thoughts she puts in people's heads purposefully so people will hate another person and love her.

1:04 says "For the moment sarahs record is not under scrutiny."

This is not true. Mrs. Todd Palin's political record is now and will remain under scrutiny until such time as she withdraws all possibility of her running for an elected office or seeking an appointment to office.

How could you think Mitt Romney and others are not scrutinizing the Palin record? Do you have ANY idea how campaigns are planned and run? Even Mrs. Todd Palin would say, "of course my record is under scrutiny".

The most glaring problem in the Palin record is that she QUIT her job. She can't fix that problem and she can't make the electorate forget it. Only sad little trolls scrub the fact from their memories.

You might want to consider how many powerful and capable Republican potential candidates stand between Mrs. Todd Palin and the chance to campaign against President Obama. It'll help you see the world as it is and not as the fantasy world you are dreaming.

Palin says 'union thugs' back Murkowski write-in
    http://newsminer.com/pages/full_story/push?blog-entry-Palin+says+-union+thugs-+back+Murkowski+write-in%20&id=9751628&instance=blogs_editors_desk
Former Gov. Sarah Palin said that the backers of Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s write-in campaign are liberals, Democrats and “union thugs.”

Speaking on the Mark Levin radio talk show Friday, Palin said Murkowski has a “liberal mindset” and said she agreed with Levin that her write-in campaign is “pretty cheap.”

Palin said Murkowski is “pretty far left” in the Republican party and should be “fired.”

“She has the backing of the liberals in Alaska, of the Democrats, of the union thugs. And it just amazes me this transformation that we have seen of her. But really it’s a revelation of who she’s been all along,” Palin said.

“What Lisa’s polling right now is again quite eye-opening, revealing to her character,” said Palin.

Levin said, “What? It’s low, I hope.”

“Well, it’s not good,” Palin said.

Palin said Joe Miller is a Reaganite and is for the “little guy,” a group she defines as those who are not asking much of government and want a “fiscally and physically secure nation.”

“What we’re seeing is a detached, distant and arrogant ruling class that doesn’t listen and doesn’t care and really treats the Constitution kind of like it’s nothing more than an old piece of paper with words that can change or be ignored when it’s convenient. And these Tea Party-backed candidates, Tea Party Americans are being called extreme of course. And Joe Miller and others, Christine O’Donnell, others being called extreme. But I have to ask, why exactly are we extreme for wanting to adhere to the Constitution or for believing in American exceptionalism, instead of an endless apology tour. Or Mark just for wanting us to live within our means and not mortgage our kids’ future. What the heck is so extreme. What am I missing?”

I would like to believe that the whole story would go global. The media picked up the first part when Cole got the restraining order, that part got traction. Sarah said something like "he wants to kill me." Has the extended story gone far? IMO this is mostly contrived from Team Sarah. The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman is their go to paper. Didn't they just BREAKING NEWS the Bristol at Rum Runners investigation for alcohol, only to learn it was a nachos story? The Rum Runners night turned out to be "good girl" Bristol wrongly attacked and the photo to prove she was pigging down nachos.

My memory is faulty on this but was it the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman where one of their writers wrote a snarky piece that sounded like a threat to McGinniss' life? I think the writer was fired.

The Frontiersman did an excellent job with this last article. I know they can do it, I hope they don't quit and go back to only carrying her water. It will be interesting to see if the media will continue to report on this or bury it now that it makes Sarah look the fool that she is. Alleged, maybe prez wannabe and her handlers couldn't talk to the authorities that were watching the boy?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous6:07 PM

This is not about a celebrity responsible for their fans actions. Of course, they are not responsible for another. Unless they do something intentional to rile the fan. I have no clue why Cole or Palin didn't communicate with the Secret Service or other police to find out what was the latest and if they knew if Christy was in Alaska. It would have been a thousand times better for Palin if she had handled this like all the other threats the authorities investigate and no one hears about any of them.

So why did Palin and Cole want to stir this up by getting a 20 day restraining order on a kid. Didn't I read that the other person must answer in court for the permanent restraining order? Van Flein must have told them how that works. Getting the 20 day restraining order makes no sense in this incident. Unless they only want the drama to fit one of their agendas.

Thanks to Gryphen for keeping up with all this. If it weren't for you more people would miss the second part. I hope the national media follows your lead.

How many people have tried to look at Palin's records and been refused access? It is fine for Palin to complain about Obama's record, but AK should prevent her emails from hitting the light of day. Many of the records at the Wasilla city website have been removed to make access to her decisions more difficult to obtain. If Sarah kept her mouth shut, her fingers off her Blackberry and stayed in AK, then I would say people should leave her alone. But as long as she thinks she might be a candidate or any of her loyal flunkees believe she is a candidate for national office, place Sarah under the microscope.
