Fox News contributor on Sarah Palin: "She's a joke even within her own party"

From Politico:

At the Roll Call/CQ election analysis session at the Ronald Reagan Building this morning, Roll Call Executive Editor and Fox News contributor Mort Kondracke blamed Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint for Republicans' failure to capture the Senate.

“The people who got slapped the hardest in this election — besides Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama — are Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin,” he said. “Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin are responsible for the fact that the Senate did not go Republican. They’re the ones who are responsible for Christine O’Donnell. They’re the ones who are responsible for Joe Miller in Alaska. They’re the ones who are responsible for Ken Buck in Colorado. They’re the ones who are responsible for Sharron Angle in Nevada.”

Then Kondrake discussed whether Palin could be the 2012 nominee: "She's a joke even within her own party," Kondrake said. "The idea that she would be the presidential nominee is unthinkable."

Uh oh!  There are Pee-bot heads exploding and poorly written e-mails being written all over Sarah-land.

"DEER MR. KON-MUNIST!

HOW DAR U CALL THE LUVLY SARAH PALIN A JOKE!  SHE IS THE BESTEST THING THAT EBER HAPENED TO THE REPBLICANS AND U NO IT!
OBVIOUSLY YOU R JUST JELLUS COS YOU CANT F**K HER!  OR BETER YET YOU R A GAY NAZI ADN YOU HATE YOUR YOURSELF AND BLAM IT ON PALIN!

SINSERLY ME!

PMS, WHY DON'T YOU JSUT DIE!

Personally I think we are going to see more, and more of this as the days go by.

Palin is an albatross around the neck of the Republican party and they are more aware of it now than ever before.

(P.S. If you think I was overly creative with the fake e-mail I posted up above, believe me I have received more of them than I can count that did not even make half that much sense.)

PMS. Tee hee. It's funny because her dolt followers, male and female, act like a bunch of PMS sufferers. Over emotional, reactionary, irrational, unstable, etc. (I'm a woman, so I know what I'm talking about.)

A blind man in Anchorage saw this coming Sarah. The election is over, these thugs got (almost) what they wanted, and now the gloves are coming off.

She really can't be so thick in the head that she didn't know this was exactly what was going to happen.

I love it!! The amusement that I'm finding in the GOP going after Sarah Palin almost makes up for the fact that if left up to the GOP I'll never have affordable health insurance. Well, no it doesn't really. But I'm still very entertained and it makes my heart lighter (perhaps that will hold off the heart attack that I can't afford to have)that Sarah can no longer count on the GOP to prop her up. Come on, Repugs - take her down, damn it!!

Mandrake was surely speaking more on behalf of himself and "Roll call" than as a Fox employee: the Rupe clearly favors someone more radical than Mittens, and is clearly keeping the grifter on the substitute's bench as an apocalyptic threat. For the time being, no one at Fox puts baby in the corner.

It is interesting that the douchebag-y DeMint is finally receiving his share of the blame for the Fundamentalist flameouts by Angle, O'Donnell, teabagger Joe, and the Buck dude from CO.

We have, then, a fairly even GOP match-up: the Rove "machine" vs. Rupert & God. Release the Kraken!

During the early days of the Republican Convention in 2008, Peggy Noonon, Reagan's speech writer, was caught with an open mike. They just played a clip of Sarah Palin, who had just been chosen by John McCain. "We are so screwed," remarked Peggy, not knowing that the microphone was still on. She later tried to take it back, but it was clear from the beginning that they were so screwed. In those days, Daily Kos said of Sarah that she was the gift that kept on giving.

Sarah doesn't have to open her mouth. Look at the damage she has done to the Republicans and their chance for the Senate. They were so screwed, again! As long as they keep her for her limited crowd appeal and to motivate their extreme right wing base, they will continue to be so screwed. Thanks Peggy for saying the right thing before anyone else.

  24. Anonymous12:47 PM

In reality, this isn't news because it's obvious to anyone with any kind of substance at all in their skull that Sarah is a joke (an understatement for sure).

The GOP tried to use her in the latest elections by holding their breath and hoping to ride some of the anger she instills in her worshippers, but it only ended up showing them that, even for the GOP, for as much as she can work up a certain segment of the population, Sarah Palin is ultimately a disease.

I really hope they start circling the wagons soon. It may be long overdue, but I hope we're starting to see the momentum slowly pick up, where more and more will not be afraid to speak the truth, and more will decide that trying to profit off of her celebrity comes at a damaging cost to their reputations.

Sarah Palin pretty much represents all that is ugly and backwards about our current culture in America.

Sarah, your days are numbered, and there are many of us who will do our part to ensure they are few.

We WILL have the last laugh. You have no clue who I am, but you can mark my words.

How can the Republican Party take her seriously as a potential candidate for anything? She polls below 50% in her home state, so state level offices are out.
She has polled below 50% on the national level with tons of national exposure, for about 2 years so she can't be seen as a viable candidate on the national level.

The only part she can play is the one that she is playing now and the only people who are responding positively to her messge are the same people who responded positively 2 years ago.

She is not increasing her base and has alienated many who might support her her.

Citing Reagan in every misunderstood and incomprehensible non sequitor does not make Sarah a Presidential scholar.

Saying all the founding fathers and mother's are her favorites doesn't boost her creds either.

We've been saying it for years, even at the height of her Gubernatorial popularity (secured by peak State revenue surpluses and purchased with the Energy Rebate attached to the PFD) Sarah Palin is stupid. Stupid is fine in the community, but she is stupid and mean. Stark raving unstable, unpredictable in no calculating way, destructive and brings out the worst in supporters and detractors alike. That this small-time grifter is an influential household name boggles the mind.

The meme is out, 'Draw the line in the sand.' 'We aren't coming to Washington with this Tea Party Mandation to sing Kumbaya with the CIC, we are going to be obstructionists for the good of the country.'

Mitch McConnell said so this morning with the Koch bros. Heritage Foundation. Mitch should know better, he's not new to the Inside. Presidents come and go but Parties do carry ugly failures and are eventually spanked by the voters.

These are grown-ups. These are wealthy, powerful grown-
ups with influence and keys to our future. They think this
cyclical blip in their favor is going to pay-off in 2012? They
    are naive, irresponsible and childish.

The thing is, they can't have it both ways. Yes, at first glance it appears they could have taken the Senate if not for Palin and the Teabaggers. But by the same token, the GOP was dead in 2008 and their supporters were humiliated by the Obama landslide. So nothing would have really gotten them out to vote, and all excited, unless they went the Mama Grizzly/Witch/Anti-Masturbator/Brownshirted, Anti-Gay, Anti-Immigrant route. Moderation doesn't get people excited and out to vote. So if the leaderless GOP went Moderate the past 2 years, they'd be dead by now. Either way, they couldn't take the Senate.

Thing all must understand about the RW, and especially her..with the RW it is always personal. Always emotion.
With the dem/left its more actualizing concept, more
actual 'work' putting a concept together, implementing such.

The RW is a popularity contest, a snarkathon; it is always personal and always vindictive emotional word salad; like high school.
    No action just button pushing.
flagcommonsensecrusadecompeteconflict, just words; they dont 'say' anything, simply 'evoke' an emotion.
Like watching leave it to beaver; ah the good ole daze.

When she starts with the raygun crapola, she is going di-rectly for the emotion meme's. When Bohner weeps on air about how hard *he* worked to get 'thru school' it is all about 'him', his struggles; not the publics.
He has no understanding of the 'public'...but he knows what emotional button to push; i mean its enuff to make me cry...isnt it?

No, it is not. Words are fine but living is more than just the frickin word salad.
For the RW its all personal popularity and theyll say or do anything for popularity.

like bachmans entire new face. ROF, she had it ALL done...eyes brows cheek filler lips.

    This is unbelieveable.

The Republicans won the House and are alternately acting like they won the world and at the same time they're eating their own.

The Democrats just lost the House, kept the Senate, and hold the WH and they're all acting like the world has ended and the Republicans own them. Course they had huge minorities and they acted like the Thugs owned them too so who knows.

The big winners on Tuesday were the corporations and the rich. If the people actually paid attention this might not be the case but Americans always tend towards not being the brightest when it comes to their own self-interests.

What's interesting about the tea party "surge": by choosing unelectable (aka "crazy") Senate candidates in Alaska, Delaware, Colorado & Nevada the GOP establishment is now royally pissed off.

Now the battle between the elite, ivy-league-educated GOP establishment (who earned their money the old-fashioned way--by inheritance) & the true TPers will be waged out in the open, on the floor of the House.

By the next election cycle, when all House members are up for re-election (as well as Pres. Obama), both sides within the GOP will be seething resentment & seeking vengeance against their own party. I think the American people will tire of this quickly. Hopefully the Dems will be smart enough to nurture their talent and will be in a position to offer a slate of sincere & qualified challengers to incumbent GOPers.
