From Huffington Post:
STATEMENT REGARDING KEITH OLBERMANN - SUNDAY, NOV. 7
From Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC:
After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night's program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.
Well good, then as of Tuesday everything will be right with the world again.
Phil Griffin you are a jerk! Welcome back Keith!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt would be funny if Olbermann pulls a Jack Nicholson (from "Cuckoo's Nest") and starts off acting all dumb and mellowed out, like he's been given a full lobotomy, for his first show.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I bet all of us will be watching with hesitation, to see if he indeed HAS been emasculated, even slightly, by this experience.
That never should have happened in the first place... double standards for sure... Beck, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. ALL need to be suspended to justify that nonsense!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Tuesday, YES!!
ReplyDeletePhi Griffin sucks!

It was fantastic waking up to this great news! Thanks to all who signed the petition.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, back at HuffPo, the trolls are busy hijacking KO's headline thread. They truly seem disturbed about this positive turn of events. Wonder why? ;-)
Was it all a PR stunt co-ordinated by Phil G., just to boost Keith's ratings? Well, I'll be watching. Since Friday, I've felt like my favorite prof suddenly disappeared from campus.
ReplyDeleteI imagine a few days off was a rather well deserved break for Keith. I think he should demand back pay.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, saria737...Phil Griffin is a jerk! There are several more words that might fit as well.
Actually, this turns into a great talking point showing how much more biased Fox is than MSNBC.
ReplyDeleteThink about it.
A reporter on MSNBC quietly makes a donation and no one finds out about it until after the election. He gets suspended.
Multiple reporters on Fox not only make donations, but actively campaign. They are encouraged.
