Sarah Palin's new book "I Stab America Through the Heart" or something like that, is yet another book filled with petty, vindictive attacks on the people who irritate her.

We were led to believe by the publishers that Palin's new book would be this uplifting, inspiring book about "faith, family, and patriotism.".

Did anybody really buy that?

Instead we learn it is this nasty vitriolic slam on everybody who Sarah Palin thinks pissed on her parade.

From my friend Geoffrey Dunn on Sister Sarah's attack on the President and Michelle Obama:

In a passage on perceptions of racial inequality in the United States, Palin slams President Barack Obama, who, she asserts, "seems to believe" that "America -- at least America as it currently exists -- is a fundamentally unjust and unequal country."

And then she goes after Michelle Obama:

"Certainly his wife expressed this view when she said during the 2008 campaign that she had never felt proud of her country until her husband started winning elections. In retrospect, I guess this shouldn't surprise us, since both of them spent almost two decades in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church listening to his rants against America and white people."

Who even brings up Jeremiah Wright anymore? You know unless they are trying to gin up a racist response against the President of course.

For reasons that seems a little bizarre considering Bristol's pathetic performance on DWTS, Palin also goes out of her way to attack "American Idol."  This was brought to the attention of creator Nigel Lithgowe on the View yesterday and he delivered a wonderful smackdown of his own.



Apparently, though she left him completely out of "Going Rogue," the Grizzled Mama has also decided to go after Bristol's favorite pinata Levi Johnston.

"Of course, we all had to bite our tongues — more than once — as Tripp's father went on a media tour through Hollywood and New York, spreading untruths and exaggerated rhetoric," Palin writes. "It was disgusting to watch as his fifteen minutes of fame were exploited by supposed adults taking advantage of a lost kid."

You know I have to agree a little bit with Palin's assertion that Levi was exploited by adults, but NOT that he spread untruths.  Every single time I have had something that Levi claimed about Sarah independently verified it has been proven accurate. (I still have some questions about the timelines in which events took place, and the reason for some omissions, but the information about Sarah appears solid.)

Now getting back to her point about "adults exploiting Levi," As I wrote back in August of this year, Levi did indeed suffer due to a lack of competent management.  If you go back and read the post you will also be reminded that I wrote about a meeting that I had with Rex Butler concerning the plan for Levi to write a tell all book.

One of the things that came up during that meeting was Sarah's book "Going Rogue." Rex asked me if I had read it, and when I said I had, he wanted to know if she had mentioned Levi.

When I told him that she had essentially left Levi completely out of the book, Rex looked surprised and then pleased.

Now as many of you may remember Harper Collins had said that "Going Rogue" was originally supposed to be 432 pages long, but when it was printed there were only 413 in the published edition. Which means that 19 pages were excised right before it hit bookstores.  I have a friend in the publishing business who told me that such a thing was highly unusual after the publisher had already announced the number of pages, and we both kind of assumed that, at least some, of those missing pages were about Levi, and that Palin had decided to have them removed so as not to give him any reason to spill his guts about her.

And since the publication of her book Levi has really said nothing more.

As a matter of fact Levi has been extremely quiet as of late.  And his silence is deafening considering how often he has been smacked around by Bristol, and now Sarah herself. 

By Bristol's own admission Levi has not seen Tripp in four months. So I guess my question is, if Levi has not been paid off to be quiet, why NOT start talking now? What has he got to lose?  Time with his son?  For all intents and purposes they have already taken the boy away from him.

Yes I know that Levi shot himself in the foot with that stupid statement to People Magazine, but I STILL believe he has more credibility with most people than Sister Sarah.

As far as I can see there is NO reason for Levi, or for that matter anybody who knows things in Wasilla, to wait any longer.  Sarah Palin IS running for President, and she IS going to attempt to crush anybody that gets in her way.

Well I for one am going to continue to stand right here in her way, and there are many others doing the same.  Won't you come join us?

(BTW I would be remiss if I did not give a H/T to Palingates.  They are the ones that published the pages to the Grizzled Mama's upcoming Bitch-a-palooza and they deserve the credit.  Good job!)

Update: Some have brought up that Palin did not "completely" leave Levi out of Going Rogue.  That is true. She simply could not resist getting at least one dig in, though I still believe she left a lot out for fear that Levi would retaliate.  In fact she even took the cowardly approach of putting the words in her son Track's mouth instead of her own:

"He talked about watching his sister be humiliated on national television as her former boyfriend went on his fact-free kiss-and-tell media tour.  Track knew the kid was making things up."

No I did not forget this, and in fact DID share it with Rex that day, but considering what we expected the book to have in it, I believe it was received by Team Levi as fairly inconsequential.

I am sorry if omitting it left the impression that I did not remember. However I was very busy this morning and was late for everything I was supposed to do, and every phone call I was supposed to return, while trying to finish the post before I left my office.  Trust me there was much more I would have liked to add but simply did not have time.
