How does she look tonight? I stand by my theory they are not binding her up with girdles anymore, they are putting sleeves made of interfacing in her costumes to cover the bump. Not too stiff, but rigid enough on a moving target to give the illusion of a straight waistline. The still pictures give it away though. She hasn't just gained weight, she looks like she looked when she was pregnant with Tripp.

Honestly, it seems like *every* paparazzi photos we have of her is coming out of McDonald's (and THAT is a direct commentary on the parenting). Maybe it's just me but Bristol looked huge to me this week. Once again someone dresses her in a light color (pink) and that just seems to enhance the fullness of her body. Her face and arms looked plumper also.

Watching the show tonight my kids commented on how Kyle has noticeably lost weight which really made me crack up. Bristol is the only person to ever do this show and not lose weight. Something is really wrong. She never seems to exert enough effort either in the performances or in the practices to sweat. And they showed her in practice again tonight wearing a sweatshirt jacket and not sweating a bit. It is really strange. That said, I think she is cruising to the finals of this thing despite her poor dancing.

I have my own problems with Bristol being a hypocrite regardless of whether she's pregnant now or not. But, yes, it would be so much sweeter if she was. I'm just trying to say here that we should be SURE.
This site does a lot of good and I don't necessarily think it should become the center point of Palin gossip when there is plenty to deride the Palins on anyway.

The fringy number worked ok, but certainly not as well as the first week she wore a similar style.
The rehearsal footage, minus the Alaska hoodie stuff for the team number, is absolutely revealing. Some of those shots just took my breath away. (Damn those hoodies are good for hiding things.)
I am one who has been insisting there was a high possibility of pregnancy, but I have also wondered if I weren't being unfair. No more, I am certain my instincts and my senses were accurate in this case.
Again, I personally could care less about Bristol and another pregnancy. I don't judge her, in other words. But, it obviously poses serious problems for her Candie's work (contract null and void) and it surely makes one wonder why this keeps happening. I think some of us believe this is at least her third unplanned pregnancy.
I suppose they could try to say she planned it, but I doubt that sincerely. And she is single, that part they can't sugar coat. I guess her earnings on this dance show will help her support these kids, so she's lucky she was considered celebrity enough! Hear that, Bristol? Your celebrity helped you out, girlfriend.

ReplyDeleteThe blue dress is the clincher for me. Spanx can only hold so much in. Ya can't hide pregnant forever with those magic undies. That bump is round and low. That isn't weight gain. That is baby gain. If that was weight gain, Spanx (or other magic underthingies) would smoosh the weight evenly across the belly and hips; that bump is in front and peaks in the navel area.

KJinGA, you said that diet is 80% of weight loss, and you are right. But, in this case Bristol is exercising several hours a day, not just 30-60 mins like most dieters. Unless Bristol is eating 3-4,000 calories a day, I can't see any other explaination for such weight gain in just one area. She is tone everywhere else for the most part.
I honestly hope we are wrong. There are some not-so-pleasant sides to Bristol, but that is to be expected when one is raised by wildlife. I wouldn't wish a single-parent pregnancy on any girl. She doesn't need another child, nor does her son need a sibling right now.
If the "We're Engaged" fiasco hadn't happened, I would be a lot less willing to believe that Bristol is preggers again. But the timing is just too convenient.
When was it first rumored that Bristol was pregnant again? I know it was before the engagement announcement. I just don't remember when it started and where she might be if she is preg now.

When you compare the first pic from Sept and the second pic from this week, it is obvious that Palin has toned up. Her upper waist appears thinner; it is her lower waist that has expanded. The upper waist may appear smaller due to the magic of Spanx (for which I am eternally grateful personally).

She's got an odd body shape, but I think it's hard to say for sure that it's a baby bump. She looks bigger through the upper arms and in her face, too--just like all over weight gain. I'm a bit more convinced that this is a pregnancy. Admittedly, Bristol is not nearly as energetic but she's putting in many hours to learn the dances. One burns A LOT of calories dancing and even if she were eating a supersized McD's meal a day she'd at least be holding her weight stable. More than likely though we'd see a trimmer Bristol....I agree that the money shot is 1:33 on the performance vid. Thats all belly and it looks pretty solid...not flabby. She is definitely preggers. Even with her lack of dancing talent, you could see it during certain moves that her balance was off. Her center of gravity has shifted with a 5 plus month pregnancy. It is after you know Palin that she bites ya. Remember those 6 friends that spoke together on one of the MSM nightly news shows right after Palin was selected by McCain? How many of those 6 still call Palin their friend? How many people call Sarah a real friend at all. Sure, some Repubs use the word friend; that is politics. But when have you heard of one of her long-time girlfriends? No one has heard a peep from any of her friends for some time. Why is that.
But great first impressions are meaningful. Which is why so many of us work so hard to make sure that no one forgets that a first impression is meaningless.

Back to Bristol. I don't feel like Bristol is hiding her pregnancy. I just don't think she is talking about it. Most public figures don't talk about their pregnancies until it is obvious to all that they are absolutely pregnant. I do think that Bristol is camouflaging well, but that may be DWTSs doing.
We will know eventually. But god I wanna know NOW!!!

The articles in Vanity Fair, Politico, and other places in the last couple of months are laying the groundwork for removing her credibility as a 2012 candidate. With the mid-terms over and Republicans poised to take the House, she's no longer necessary for the cause.

She can be lovely, and I suspect the outer beauty is what has you in rapture (as many have said, were Sarah homely, we wouldn't be having this conversation), but that doesnt mean there is not a devious aspect to her nature. We don't have to be in "the flesh" to see it. We see the real Sarah from our porches.

I think that maybe Mama Griz is hoping Bristol will mis-carriage so they can hide the fact and say it was God's will. Had nothing to do with dancing...for money while you are pregnant. Although with that said I did more then she is doing on the dance floor when I carried both of my children. AND if she wasn't pregnant why would everyone else have to sign a contract not to speak of anything they know about her! Is she pregnant? Maybe. Despite the workouts (of which I'll bet she ditches and doesn't work that hard) she may still be overweight. She always seemed to be a bit on the heavy side to me. After her first pregnancy, I'm sure that weight hasn't come off yet. And it could be she's using the excuse of "working it off" to pork out uncontrollably, thus gaining rather than losing weight.
I do think she is wearing a girdle or corset. Whether because of weight or pregnancy, only time will tell.

AKPetMom: Amen. Abstinence only education has backfired and young teens are paying for it. The Purity Pledge has been shown to be dangerous. Teens who have taken the pledge don't postpone sex and they have a higher incidence of STDs because they weren't prepared for sexual activity. Since they were going to remain chaste, they didn't keep condoms around. Those who have taken the Purity Pledge have been given false info about the effectiveness rate of condoms so they don't use them. Many teens don't use condoms or birth control. Those who take the Purity Pledge use condoms at a much lower rate than their peers.

Bristol is an excellent example of this. Since she "won't have sex before marriage", she doesn't keep condoms around just in case (nor do her partners who are just as much to blame for not using condoms). She doesn't need BC because she isn't going to have sex. Right? Wrong. Teens have sex; they should have contraception available even if they are encouraged to abstain from sex.
I taught my nieces how to use condoms properly and gave them a variety of condoms to keep. Their mom (my sister) was fine with that because she was a teen mom as well. We discussed other forms of BC and discussed that they must use 2 forms of BC; condoms for safety and other forms for additional pregnancy protection. Contraception can fail, esp in teens who tend to be less careful with how they use contraception. We even discussed where they could find a free clinic if they wanted to get BC on their own.
In the 21st century, there is no reason to keep a teen from knowing how to use contraception. The data is clear; few teens reach the age of 20 without being sexually active. Ideology doesn't match the reality of teen sex. "Just say no" just ain't workin'.
I can't tell if she is pregnant or overweight. I certainly have suspisions. When I was saying Bristol could have binded herself down before to hide her past pregnancy there were lots of nay-sayers. We are now seeing evidence that whatever the cause of the protrusion from her abdomen she is wearing garments to squish it down. Women have been hiding pregnancies for thousands of years.

IF Bristol has known she is preggers during her DWTS run, she may be trying to spontaneously abort. Any OB will tell you that starting a NEW strenuous physical excercise (that your body is not used to), is a big no-no - especially in the first trimester, it puts you at higher risk for miscarriage. Perhaps I'm giving her too much credit.

ReplyDeleteI think just like all of SP's schemes, BP went into this with a plan A and a contingency plan B. Either she will (A) successfully hide the pregnancy on DWTS, and then say she wants a break from the limelight (for the last trimester) or..(B) this pregnancy will be acknowledged. She will say that because of her strong work ethic, she didn't want anybody to cut her any slack just because she was pregnant. Just like her momma, she wouldn't want anyone to focus on the pregnancy instead of her (work, or dance) performance.

If she doesn't tell, she isn't being duplicitous. In fact, no one has said she isn't pregnant. Not her parents or PR folks or handlers. And no one has asked her directly.
Reasonably assuming good health, there isn't a reason that DWTS would not have her on the show. Why would they care? They're not a social program; it's a television production. For them, more drama draws more viewers. In fact, without the "baby watch" element, Bristol is the least interesting cast member there. Without the side bar, she would be quite boring and no one would watch.
The production. It's crystal clear that everything about Bristol's appearances are staged. Every camera angle is intentional. It's not random. We are given the impression that this is filmed off-the-cuff, real-time, documentary style. But it's not. It's a weekly series shot on-set. Nothing is spontaneous. ALL of it is planned and staged. They don't just have dance studio practice time; they have camera rehearsals. The final finished production footage shows full body and side views of Bristol are edited out.
On stage, they know where they cameras are. They've choreographed around the cameras.
Whether she's pregnant or just has a big floppy stomach, it's obvious that costuming is tailored to contain her midsection. She has great legs and they are attempting to refocus the viewer's eye on her legs.
Ballroom dancing is not strenuous physical activity for a rookie non-dancer. She's not in dance class. This is not ballet. This is performance, not professional dancing. Obviously some of this show's cast takes it all-out. I have no doubt that some of them actually start dance class when they accept the contract for the show. And work out. And do all kinds of stuff for a better appearance.
Professional dancers typically learn a combination in a few hours at a master class or an audition. Not polished performance quality, but they've got it. She has a week of full-time practice, studio time, professional dance coaches. And she still can't learn simple 2-minute routines. Every school child in Alaska learned the Macarena in PE class once a week. Most recreational dancers learn line dances and complicated Country & Western dances just hanging out in the bar.
It has nothing to do with talent and looking good doing it. Not mastering the steps means she either isn't really highly motivated, or she isn't putting the time in.
Her most emotive moment so far was when she got judges' approval last week. Her face just lit up. She looked like she had some fun dancing and she looked thrilled at better scores. So she does care about "winning", even if she doesn't care to put the necessary time in.
I genuinely hope that this will be a success learning experience for this jaded spoilt Alaska princess. I hope this will open up the world for her and create a sense of accomplishment and triumph with bold new horizons.
Ivy's presence is a disadvantage for her. You don't take family servants with you to college. It interferes with personal growth. Even the grandsons of the Queen of England don't have live-in retainers. Send her home, Bristol. You'll do better without her.

If that is who you know, they could be lying to you. Yes, everyone knows she is a politician who uses charm when on. It means nothing except that is how they bait suckers. You can listen to Sarah laugh about Lyda Green's cancer. To each his own, but Sarah is low life and she has proved it to many. People go to see her b/c the Republicans are bores who have sex issues, they love Viagra and promoting her as their rock star. Many of the men are like old man Heath, lounging in their recliners with a six pack while the women folk cook up some sweets. Most that go to see Palin go to see a freak, some of them think she will get their message across.

The people that paid Bristol to come speak about abstinence as the SOLE method of birth control for unmarried teens might very well expect at least a maternity announcement so they can fabricate a story to retain at least a shred of claim to sanity.
Bristol is being introduced on DWTS as a "teen advocate". It's true she is not a politician but she is selling herself as a spokesperson. She has the responsibility to be honest with her buyers.
When is Bristol scheduled to give another one of those abstinence speeches?

Bristol's first pregnancy started in 2007. After that birth, she was quite slim in the "Triggy Bear" pictures, but, of course, chunkier again in Sept. 2008 at the RNC. After her second child, Tripp, was born, Bristol again looked slim(mer) at the Iron Dog race. However in the "we're getting married" photo spread (with Levi) this year, Bristol again appeared heavier. At the beginning of DWTS, Bristol was slimmer than she is now.
It would be very interesting to know the dates of Bristol's "first pregnancy" if you would like to share any documentation you have.
Being in the entertainment industry and having associates who actually work for ABC there are several disturbing things people should be aware of... 1st, there will be several members of the DWTS staff (mostly behind the scenes production and operations people) who will not be re-signed with the next season of the program because they were forced not to reveal any of the "secrets" of the show and were instructed not to speak about anything Bristol related. 2nd, Bristol has every week received nearly the exact same percentage of votes. This is supposedly because she has the same people (her mothers base) voting for her every week. This number has remained within a percentage point every single week (accounting for the diminishing number of votes allowed each week). 3rd, Palin was also guaranteed that she would not be eliminated during the first four weeks no matter where her scores or popular support ranked. After the season ends do not be surprised if there are several employees who spill the beans on the dishonest goings on at DWTS this season. Since there are rules concerning the administration of game shows which DWTS falls under, ABC could face some extreme scrutiny (and sanctions) for its actions.

Knowing her history it must have been bad news. If people lose contracts- that is bad news. But everyone knows reality shows are lies to make money. Perfect for Palins.
And the birth control- when you go to your 15th high school reunion and there are classmates with grandkids- you know the lack of birth control is passed on in some way. Candies sells sex-not abstinence. Bristol is a good spokesperson for their purposes.

She certainly looks pregnant to me and she looks more pregnant each week. She's not gaining all over as she would from overeating; she's gaining only in the places pregnant women typically do.
ReplyDeleteAnd there's no doubt in my mind the reason why and I wouldn't be surprised if she reunited with Levi for just this reason - to get impregnated by her erstwhile fiance, then dump Levi after he served his purpose (the plan WAS to get married to him, but Bristol's jealousy reared its ugly head too soon again), and then once the pregnancy was assured, go on DWTS.
Then when it's all over - Bristol/Sarah announce to the world that if Bristol could do DWTS with a concealed pregnancy, it proves that Sarah Palin could TOO conceal HER pregnancy with Trig until the last minute WITHOUT going on a dancing show and shaking her guts, so there!
Because that's what this is all about, of course - having Bristol prove that Sarah's pregnancy was the real thing, just like she "proved" it two years ago with her Tripp pregnancy.

If somebody goes around being PAID to say "be abstinate" and goes on Oprah and says she will be abstinante until she gets married, then if she appears possibly pregnant while on a CELEBRITY TV show, then it fair to talk about it.

First of all Brisket has made her self a public/celebrity figure, so all questions AND speculation are game.
Secondly, most importantly, she is a spokesperson for Candies, promoting abstinence.
She is PAID for this promotion for them.
She is a huge influence for young girls all over the country.
YES, she DOES owe an explanation to everyone.
Being pregnant and promoting abstinence, while being paid for it is THE most "duplicitous" thing she could do.
She in breach of her employment contract, and because she set HERSELF up as a role model for all of these young people, she is DELIBERATELY using THEM every day to line her pockets.
Doesn't THAT sound familiar.
Just like her mother.
While $Arah makes millions of $$$$, her followers are asked to live on Ichiban soup or rice for a month so that they can afford to contribute to her "defense fund".
$arah abused the entire state of Alaska, by breaking her trust with the people, in order to make millions from the notoriety and celebrity that the position they TRUSTED her with, gave her.

They call her an activist. The abstinence matter is very political and she is used by politicians. She is not only doing the activist act but she speaks out about her mother running. I don't think she is a genuine activist but that is her brand. How can anyone say she is not political? Bristol Palin is a politicians tool.
As a sincere activist that cared about teens she would address the questions about weight. She can't help other teens if she can't even address her own issues.

You didn't get the point. Here it is:
- Nobody has denied she's pregnant.
- She doesn't have to say if she is.
I have no doubt that her agent, manager, mother, whomever, is in regular communication with contractual obligations. You and I have no way to know what those obligations are, nor details of contracts. Do we. Duh.
Have a look at the red carpet photos. She's not fat at all. She looks great. Part of what makes her more attractive here isn't the makeup and clothing. She actually looks like she's having fun, instead of her usual phony-baloney coy I'm-so-painfully-shy thing.

ReplyDeleteShe is (by her choice) a public figure. As part of the public, she's in my territory and hence fair game. If she wants to stay a public figure which is very $$$, there are certain expectations she will need to fulfill.
As to some of the more recent commentary....Sarah projected herself to be a certain person and it is proven she is not that woman. Bristol is doing the same thing - if, in fact, she is pregnant w/baby #2 or #3. She has projected herself to be a certain way for the teenage population, so if she is pregnant again she is not who she has projected herself to be.

Of course, poor Brandy has been in a couple of scandals herself. Remember she got pregnant and lied that she was married just to try to maintain an image that no one cared about. LMAO! ReplyDeletei keep seeing commercials on TLC for "Sarah Palin's Alaska" and in the clip they show Sarah telling Willow that "No boys are allowed upstairs" as Willow storms away to her bedroom. And I crack up every time I see it. Yes, let's pretend Levi never lived with them and Bristol never had boys in her bedroom. Even funnier- Sarah's never even home! No way in hell she's keeping track of her kids. Willow is no saint either. I love this facade that TLC is trying to create.
