Conan O'Brien features Sarah Palin explaining why many Americans find the idea of her as President "a little scary."

Now THAT was funny.

And if any of you needed yet another reason to love Conan, you should know that one of the reasons that there was tension between O'Brien and the network is that he refused to yield to pressure to have Palin on his show.

Yeah!  How much do you love him now?

Well done Conan! Finally, someone in the LSM who isn't soft, weak, limp, and impotent!

It's refreshing to see these reminders that most of us know better when it comes to Palin. The "lay of the land" is clearly not in her favor. Certainly not the "rill dill" :)

Okay then, I now have a reason to stay up and watch his show (or tape it)! I've always liked Conan, but I have respect for him now as well.

Grumpy Grannie shouldn't be using talk shows for cheap publicity because she expects softball questions or an opportunity to just blow smoke up everyone's nose.

    Conan rocks!

Didn't he already have Palin on his show? Remember the one where Shatner was reading her tweets like they were poetry? She walked on stage while he was doing his thing, and then she read out of Shatner's bio like it was poetry. Original!

    ....Kate says Sarah is "crazy."

"Crazy," says Willow after mom bellows with junbridled joy after blowing away a target.

"That's just what I was gonna say," says Kate. "She's crazy."

    Watch! And cringe!

Kate Gosselin Cruelly Punished Her Kids by "Disowning" Them -- Telling Them They Were Palins, Not Gosselins!

Kate's shocking response: "Goodbye, you're now a Palin, not a Gosselin!"

With that, her dejected Gosselettes followed her out of the wilderness and headed back to civilization.

God bless Conan for not feeding Palin's insatiable ego.

On the other hand, it would be a joy to see Conan humiliate Palin on national TV - that is, even more than she humiliates herself. She would be unprepared to eat a whole big ol' can of whoopass live on TV. She wouldn't know what to do. Would she cry? Would she stomp off the stage? Would she crawl up in the fetal position and suck her thumb?

That kind of smackdown might make her go away in perpetuity.

Oh well, a boy can dream, can't he?

Sarah is wrong. Alaska hasn't been the farthest east state since the International Dateline was redrawn to pull all of the U.S. to the west. That was more than 20 years ago.

Also, on any camping trip I have ever been on in Alaska, one person was responsible for the the bear gun. The grub was stored away from the tents / camp site. I saw none of that in this. Also why would anyone who is clearly gun shy take the gun into her tent. You do not want to be sleeping near that person.

Is Sarah trying to imitate Michelle Obama with the sleeveless look? It's not working for her. Michelle Obama is buff in the sleeveless look but granny Palin just looks all flabby. Wear sleeves, Sarah.

She was on his show, albeit very briefly. As someone else said, Shatner read her tweets as if they were beat poetry while she sat on another stool. I still love Conan, though.

I have a question for Barbara Walters as well as the entire Fox News team:

How long does one have to serve to be awarded an honorific such as "governor"?

Obviously half a term is acceptable, so...
How about one fourth of a term? Six months?

If you're elected governor and quit the next day - do we still refer to you as "governor"? If you get elected and then immediately call up and say you don't want it? Still "governor"?

Exactly where is the cut-off point, if it's not completion of your term in elected office?
