Sarah does Haiti.

From the New York Daily News:

The former Alaska governor and one-time GOP vice presidential candidate is visiting Haiti as a part of Rev. Franklin Graham's charity mission.

What the Mama Grizzly plans to do in Haiti remains unknown as details about the trip have been scarce. A spokeswoman for Graham's group cited security reasons for the lack of information, The Associated Press reported.

Palin has not made mention of her Haiti trip on her Facebook or Twitter accounts. The trip was first reported on Friday.

I love it that the journalist for the NY Daily News has NO idea just what in the hell Palin is doing in Haiti. Is it to give the impression of getting some foreign policy experience?  Is it to adopt a child for Bristol? (Oh yeah, THAT would not be transparent or anything!) Or is she trying to distract the media from noticing how horrible her new book sales are doing?

Well one thing we do know is that she brought her girls out for the Haitians to admire.  No NOT her children, these girls. (Somehow I doubt that the Haitians will be all that impressed with her water bra unless she is willing to stick a pin in it and let them all get a drink, you know to avoid the risk of contracting cholera from THEIR drinking water.)

She did bring one of her actual girls with her as evidenced by the very appropriately dressed Bristol in this picture.

What IS it with the Palin women and scarves anyway?  Do they really think they have the magical ability to camouflage ANYTHING?

It certainly does not appear to be helping Bristol stay cool in the heat, if this photograph is any indication.

Just look at the sweat plastered hair and sheen of perspiration on this poor young woman's face.

But that is Sarah for you, drag her kid out into the spotlight while refusing to let the media photograph her in a vain attempt to put the rumors to rest, only to have it do the exact opposite.

If my sources are correct, Palin is headed to the UK pretty soon after she is done showing the Haitians the miracle of American undergarment technology.

I hope she leaves the bra in the hotel for that visit.  I think poor Maggie Thatcher is suffering enough without having an eye poked out by one of Palin's augmented boobs.

It looks like Barbarella does Haiti.

Getting pictures of herself with black people.

That is the reason she is there, I have decided.

  4. I read an earlier version of this article, also, too from the NY Daily News. The article mentioned that there were pictures posted on Samaritan's Purse website of Sarah in Haiti and those pictures were subsequently removed with no explanation.

You must admit the scarves are magical. What 20 yo dresses like that? It can only be magic that can make her wear those darn things in the heat. Cissie looks much cooler.

Now Sarah's water supply makes total sense, they also double as a portable AC.

WGE Palin could have made brownie points if she'd gone there sooner (without film crew) to actually help and donate to the Haitians.

    But, no....

We can see right through you, Sarah, using needy Haitians to keep you in the press. You feebly attempt to appear relevant but you're just too ignorant, self-centered, and money-hungry. Sarah, you are a deplorable excuse for a human being.... so disgusting.... so pathetic.... so typically palin.

This would be a fantastic time to examine baby boy Franklin's toy charity business. His dad couldn't just let him run a ministry - he needed a luxurious jet-setting life with a hint of danger. So Frankie flies around the globe with his carbon burning pet projects to profit off of people's misery.

The costs associated with having his three Lear jets bring the grifting soon-to-quit-Governor out to meet her own constituents suffering under her watch was enough to finance a regional energy plan far superior than her retarded $1200 energy rebate popularity project which did nothing to alleviate fuel prices, energy consumption or create solutions toward energy independence.

The only time it occurs to Sarah to be charitable is when Frankie calls, the first was to deliver cookies to the struggling Eskimo (Todd's 'people') and the other is this opprtunistic sham on the heels of Barack Hussein going to Afghanistan.

Remember, Sarah doesn't play that elitist Golf game cause she's so busy helpin and care-in for all those poor people with so much joy at having America be so blessed to decide to be responsible for them.

She's an evil genius! Do you really think she would bring her pregnant daughter to Haiti? Yes, she sure looks pregnant, and the strategically placed scarf supports the suspicion. She wants us to keep suspecting and then make us look bad when it turns out she isn't. Poor put upon Sarah. I think we should give up this pregnancy angle. As juicy and hysterical that it would be, I think it just isn't so.

Gosh, we're in Haiti, let's smile so pretty for the cameras, shall we? Never mind that people are dying from disease, lack of shelter or potable water, and starvation. Desprerate Sarah and Bristol goes to Hait to score political points with the black community. Good luck.
The only reason Sarah is in Haiti, is to have the photos to show the minority that she cares. This woman has no shame at all. She is an idiot.
She is trying to win the black evangelical to vote for her.

Good luck Sarah, I am black and Christian. I am still not attracted to your lies.

You might want to check out that much of Samaritan's Putrid Purse is primarily a conversion effort and a denial of indigenous beliefs and lifestyles. Operation Christ CHild Shoebox has evangelical tracts put in (unbeknownst to donators) before they are given to the kids. Much of it is the type of CHinese made plastic landfill that makes 3 y o ugly American conspicuous consumers.

And gee, two scarves in Port au Prince where it was a humid 80 degrees today?

Adopt a Haitian child? Gryphen, I seriously doubt that even $carah, stupid and arrogant as she is, would think we'd miss the uhm, fact that the child would not be recognizable Haitian.

This makes me so sad. Haitians had been through hell and a celebrity like Palin visiting for a photo op is beyond the pale. I don’t believe Palin, Todd, Bristol, Franklin Graham or Greta gives a damn about these people. Where were they after the earthquake? Did they fly down there to help? These Haitian kids are being used for some political motive, whatever they may be, probably to stick it to the President and the First Lady. If that is the case, the Palins are disgusting human beings and I hope they go straight to hell. But I’m guessing they will be in hell sometime soon, because all good things don’t last for very long. They will hit rock bottom pretty soon.

I’m telling you people, the only way to get rid of this beast is to either expose her and I’m not talking about gossip or just completely ignore her pathetic shenanigans. The beast thrives off of publicity good or bad and if we continue talking about her, we are only feeding the beast.

O/T but Maria Litman's blog (Joke is on Sarah Palin) is an excellent must read. Is it possible that Sarah's book was sabotaged subtlely by her ghostwriter but was too stupid to recognize it or didn't actually bother reading the whole thing. (For example, the book extols the virtues of quantity of time being more important that quality time with one's children. Also, to avoid poverty one basically has to follow three rules: 1. finish high school. 2. marry before having a child. 3. produce a child after you are twenty years old.) A definite head scratcher.

  26. Sarah is, once again, conveniently too busy to put any effort toward the family Christmas celebration. And, once again, Franklin Graham comes to her rescue in an attempt to give her the appearance of making an humanitarian gesture.

I expect Sarah, a Fox News contributor, is getting paid for participating in this Fox News production. It's also possible Samaritan's Purse is paying the Palins.

The media needs a giant, collective smack across the face. Why do they insist on following her around like sick puppies in spite of her low book sale numbers, under-attended book tour, falling tv ratings, diminished crowds for her speeches?

She will probably try to state she was in the capital but evidence everywhere states she was not.

"No Haitians interviewed had heard of Palin, but when told she is an American politican, they said her visit was welcome"

Well, since we're all pretty much anonymous, we can't look bad if Bristol isn't pregnant.

    Except that she is.

Bristol is wearing her Hollywood undergarments and a scarf on top of them. It's not to fool us, it's to cover up the truth.

Sarah can rant about "those evil bloggers" who made up stories about Bristol (notice she never mentioned that at all in these recent interviews...) but unless she is going to get specific - which she won't 'cause she's actually quite afraid of all of us - no one will care anyway. She knows we know, and she doesn't want to draw any additional attention to any of these blogs.

An interview between an ADN reporter and Governor Sarah Palin, moments before she flew with Franklin Graham of Samaritan's Purse to a couple Lower Yukon villages affected by the Western Alaska energy crisis visible to the world and everyone except Sarah Palin.
She was satisfied with her cronies going out and making noises she could tweet about re: recovery and progress. Until Franklin invited her to go on his fleet of private jets.

    Q. But just as governor, why not go to the region, to the lower Yukon earlier, to see if things are as bad as they're being described?

(Palin and Parnell looked at each other.)

PARNELL: Frankly, the first weekend that this particular regional hardship hit the web from Emmonak, both the governor and I tried to get our there and we were hampered due to weather. But a team did go out there [snip.]

Scared to be confronted by the vocal Emmonak residents that brought worlwide attention to their food vs. fuel plight - they decided to go to other Lower Yukon communities. . .

"We want to give the same hope to Russian Mission and Marshall now." Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell

A native leader said when hearing about her resolving to show her face:

"About time she shows up with someone who she can hide behind of. The Governor, after being incognito much like her Commissioner of ADF&G finally makes a trip. She finally realizes that there are villages between her house and Russia. Lt. Gov Parnell has made trips to villages and each time the Governor tries, the Good Lord prevents her due to weather. Now she has Franklin Graham to shield her from the weather that has prevented her from making a trip to Western Alaska."

Thinking about a trip to Haiti?

To 'help' or make some commercials?
Here is what the Centers for Disease Control has to say about it.
"Guidance for Relief Workers and Others Traveling to Haiti for Earthquake Response. This information is current as of today, December 11, 2010 at 20:53 EST"

    http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/content/news-announcements/relief-workers-haiti.aspx

"This notice is to advise relief workers and other personnel traveling to Haiti to assist with the humanitarian response following the January 12th earthquake near Port-au-Prince. Conditions in the area remain hazardous, including extensive damage to buildings, roads, and other infrastructure."

Other details as to recommended vaccinations, various disease and other health risks present, and preventative measures that some people might take may be viewed there.

Let's look at what the CDC has to say about visiting Haiti and Malaria.

    "Insect-borne Diseases
    Malaria

Malaria occurs in all parts of Haiti. Ways to prevent malaria include the following:

    * Taking a prescription antimalarial drug
    * Using insect repellent and wearing long pants and sleeves to prevent mosquito bites (Remember those pictures posted today? )
    * Sleeping in air-conditioned or well-screened rooms or using bed nets

No antimalarial drug is 100% protective, so it is important to use all three ways to prevent malaria."

There is more information on antimalarial drugs at a link at the CDC site.

    http://www.cdc.gov/malaria/travelers/drugs.html

Of the five choices, three are not to be used by pregnant women (in case that might matter), and the remaining two must be taken prior to the trip. From the CDC site- some info on the choices for pregnant women:

    Chloroquine:

    * For trips of short duration, some people would rather not take medication for 4 weeks after travel
    * Not a good choice for last-minute travelers because drug needs to be started 1-2 weeks prior to travel.

    Mefloquine
    (Lariam):

    * Can be used in second and third trimester of pregnancy and in first trimester if there is no other option (i.e., postpone travel)

    * Not a good choice for last-minute travelers because drug needs to be started at least 2 weeks prior to travel
    * For trips of short duration, some people would rather not take medication for 4 weeks after travel"

The summary by the CDC on Malaria is:

"Malaria is always a serious disease and may be a deadly illness. If you become ill with a fever or flu-like illness either while in Haiti or after you return home (for up to 1 year), you should seek immediate medical attention and should tell the doctor that you have recently been in Haiti."

Still planning to go to Haiti?
    There is Dengue Fever too.

"Dengue is a common infection in Haiti. Dengue is a disease caused by a virus transmitted to people by the bite of an infected mosquito. Some important information to know about dengue as you travel to Haiti:

    * No vaccine or medications are available to prevent dengue.
    * The best way to reduce your risk of dengue is to protect yourself from mosquito bites (see Insects below for more information).
    * The mosquitoes that spread dengue usually bite at dusk and dawn but may bite at any time during the day. (Remember those short sleeve pictures today?)
There are no specific medicines to treat dengue, so treatment is supportive with fever-reducing medicines and fluids..

Would you think this is a good place to take your family? There is important work to be done- but by these people??

"She's an evil genius! Do you really think she would bring her pregnant daughter to Haiti?"

Yes, actually I do. She expects people to say Bristol must not be pregnant because it would be nuts to take her to Haiti. Well, she's nuts and evil. I'm not convinced Bristol is pregnant but taking her to Haiti makes me suspect it even more.

Pictures on the Samaritan's Purse website show Sarah interacting with some of the patients. This is the woman who thinks healthcare is a privilege for those who can afford it or who get charity from a Christian organization.

Palin and Graham's first stop is scheduled for Russian Mission, a village of roughly 335 people on the Yukon River. City clerk Agnes Housler said Thursday that people there could use the help. "With the high cost of living, it's hard to say no," Housler said. "We can't go out hunting and fishing like we used to to get our subsistence food because gas and oil prices are so high."

It's quickly become a familiar tale: Towering fuel costs and poor fishing led to reports of families in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta struggling to afford food this winter. Starting with a letter from an Emmonak man about hard times in his village, the news eventually led to a flood of private donations to the Lower Yukon in recent weeks, not to mention political finger-pointing.

Palin's critics accused the state of being slow to react. They slammed the governor for not visiting the region herself or declaring a disaster.

Palin, who sent state officials to villages, responded that the state was looking for solutions and was doing what it legally could to help.

Rep. Jay Ramras, R-Fairbanks, has been organizing food deliveries to many Western Alaska villages and was among Palin's most vocal critics.

"I applaud her for following in the footsteps of what Alaskans and nonprofits and churches have already been doing over the last four to six weeks," he said Thursday. "I think she's setting a great example for the next wave of giving."

The relief group has four planes it can use to deliver food to the region and is collecting 44-pound "food kits" for families, said Luther Harrison, director of North American operations. On Thursday afternoon, he was in the Wasilla National Guard armory where volunteers were packing food for shipment.

Graham and Palin will travel on one of the charity's planes, he said.

And Palin's role in the trip?

"She will be participating in the actual work of the food drop," wrote McAllister, her state spokesman. "Her goals are to help the specific individuals she will be seeing and to express moral support for all of those in similar circumstances."

McAllister referred questions to Samaritan's Purse. Calls to the organization's North Carolina headquarters were referred to an Atlanta public relations agency. A spokeswoman there said Graham might be available today; Palin has scheduled a news conference in Wasilla this morning.

Alaskans received larger-than-usual Permanent Fund dividend checks and a $1,200 "energy rebate" in 2008, but some lower Yukon River villagers say rocketing energy costs quickly consumed the money. Poor commercial fishing last summer compounded the problems in the region.

The Association of Village Council Presidents, which represents 56 Western Alaska communities, has been calling for the state to declare an economic disaster in the area because of poor fishing.

A statement from the governor's office said the Department of Fish and Game is "reviewing concerns" with the commercial king salmon fishery.

Fishermen in the Wade Hampton census area, which includes Russian Mission and Marshall, made about $1,700 per fishing permit in 2008, down from about $4,400 per permit in 2007, according to the state Office of Economic Development.

I have rarely been so sickened by the actions of a celebrity.

The photos of Sarah Palin, her husband and daughter Bristol smiling for the cameras while next to tents where human beings lie ill and dying from cholera simply defy adequate expression.

I could call them contemptible, but people such as the Palins and their entourage who use the abject misery of others as a means to extend their own ignorant and obscene sensibilties in an attempt to gain traction with the public simply render language useless --polite or othewise.

Palin's little visit to desperate Haiti reminds me of Queen Victoria who kindly donated five pounds to the starving Irish during the 1840's "famine." There was no real famine; the Irish starved by the millions because the English forcibly took their food to pay the rent England demanded of the Irish It was all engineered by the English government to depopulate Ireland of its native inhabitants and turn it into an English colony to supply the avaricious crown with the plundered wealth of a land not their own. Ditto Haiti--the international corporations have been plundering it since the slave rebellion led by Toussaint L'Ouverture. Of course, Srah Palin being a tool of neoliberal economists, neocon politicians, and so fond of corporatism, will never ask the questions needed to really begin to help Haiti recover from several centuries of exploitation, particularly enabled by the US.

And on the subject misanthropic queens, divas and ex iron ladies: had Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher retained her senses she may have welcomed Palin. (Does Sarah know that Thatcher is execrated by the Irish for (among other things) having the blood of Irish political prisoner Bobby Sands (among others) on her hands.) Thatcher and Reagan were in the mutual admiration club.

Yes, Thatcher was probably brutal enough to please Palin. Though Thatcher, having been socialized at Oxford, might not have found pleasing Sarah's boorish manners and Snopes-like (see William Faulkner) ugly, mean and anti-intellectual grasping. But then the only real difference as far as those who suffered under Madame Thatcher's policies and Sarah Palin's "ethics" is in the delivery, not the content, the form not the substance.

I could call them contemptible, but people such as the Palins and their entourage who use the abject misery of others as a means to extend their own ignorant and obscene sensibilities in an attempt to gain traction with the public simply render language useless --polite or otherwise.

Of course, Sarah Palin being a tool of neoliberal economists, neocon politicians, and so fond of corporatism, will never ask the questions needed to really begin to help Haiti recover from several centuries of exploitation, particularly enabled by the US.

    Palin contemptible cont.:

I do care if she's going to use this trip as foreign policy experience after doing nothing more constructive there than a few photo ops, and I do care if she's claiming this as a work of charity while keeping all her cash, and traveling at the expense of others.

As for Bristol, I see that once again she's not working or being a full time single mom, so she better stop claiming she is. I certainly understand that it would not be a good idea to bring a young child into an area with cholera, but wasn't she just on camera at DWTS whining and crying about wanting to be home in Alaska and spending time with her son? So, why isn't she home now, and who's watching Trig while Sarah? Somebody needs to tell the Palin women that there's a lot more to parenting than giving birth.

  101. Anonymous9:49 PM

Bristol is certainly chipmunk like with those cheeks where the girl is forced to be photographed with the insensitive happy Americans. I am one who isn't convinced she is currently pregnant. Nor do I think she is getting an abortion on this journey to Haiti. The chances that she did get an abortion after the Ben Barber affair I can totally believe, I'm not as sure about the second abortion after that. It is possible with her psychological problems and the way she has to be in the public eye. Sarah did say Bristol was in mourning, the time fits an earlier abortion. She sometimes looks bloated and sometimes not as much. I think some of the growing gut is poor eating habits and drink, or anxiety medication, something in that realm.

I've known several people with Hepatitis C. Todd is a dead ringer for that disease. They can look better at times, they can also bloat and deflate. He could live another 10 or 20 years. If he is doing the treatment even longer. I say he has a bad liver. They don't always look jaundiced. If he did he could cover that up with make up and shades. HIV is another possible answer to how he looks. I don't think it is cancer.

  105. First thing I noticed in the pictures is Sarah has 2+ edema to her ankles...lay off the high sodium junk food. Of course the heat would contribute to the swelling. To be safe to go to Haiti in the conditions they have all of them would need expensive and somewhat risky vaccines. They may be on antibiotics and perhaps are taking a drug to prevent malaria. I would have spent a great deal of my life in places like Haiti or Africa, but due to my immune system problems it would be high risk. I explored all the options because I really wanted to go. When I read The Coming Plague by Laurie Garrett I stopped trying to find a way to go. Nurses in Africa can end up dying in a shed behind the hospital. This trip is a disgusting display of use and abuse of third world people to promote agendas of people in the first world. Haiti has been controlled by the U.S. for a long time because they have oil and gas, to be used as a last resort as we run out of oil. Since the U.S. is in control through militarization, who made the decision to allow her in Haiti? Oh, I forgot the religious based NGOs have more power than the military.

This photo link has been posted more than once. There's no photo of Bristol there. It's Sarah and Greta.
And really, folks. Sarah's going to adopt a Haitian baby? Ya think? C'mon now.

    The Grahams.
Billionaires several times over and have refined the art of revival meetings and passing the hat. They are also masters of 21st-century charitable organizations' tax exemptions with the IRS.
Their personal wealth is comprised entirely, 100%, of donations. Mostly from the poorest of America's middle and lower classes.
    They're teaching Sarah Palin well.
I think it's so strange that we Americans buy into this.

$484,875,625 between 2004 and 2008, from IRS 2008 tax records. That's just one of the 5 tax-exempt non-profit charities, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada - $5,188,698. Donated by Canadians in 2008.
Graham Fund for Evangelism - an endowment worth $15,985,080.
Blue Ridge Broadcasting - $18,863,996, 2004 to 2008, of which $14,988,746 was donations. This "charity" has no actual employees, according to IRS records. But they paid out nearly 2 million in "compensation" to board members. Billy Graham, Franklin Graham and a few choice folks.
Cove Charitable Trust - $76,766,686. Same compensation to all the same people.
Samaritan's Purse - $703,306,550. Almost 3 million in "compensation" to the Graham family and inner circle.
There's two more. International and no U.S. tax records:
Organizacao R.E.B.G. Brasil, Sao Paulo, BR
    BGEA Pte Ltd., Singapore
These have the same kind of money donated.

Roughly 2 billion in 5 years.
Each of these organizations is under the mothership, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. They share an accounting firm, the same financial officer, Daniel Allen, and almost identical compensated boards.
Franklin Graham has modernized the old Billy Graham Crusades even further. They help a local venue incorporate as a "non-profit". The non-profit solicits donations to stage the revival meeting. Franklin Graham shows up, fires up the crowd, shakes everybody down for more money for his causes, and flies out of town with his pockets full of more cash. Quite literally.
    So the Grahams pay nothing.
Franklin Graham Metro Maryland, $1,323,625. 100% contributions. Other People's Money.
And that is what they've tutored Sarah Palin to do.
That's probably the reason she doesn't do speaking gigs in Alaska; 'cause ain't nobody gonna pay to bring her to town.

They are in Haiti to generate donations. But there is a core underlying mission. They are launching their international signature program called "My Hope".
"My Hope - With the goal of broadcasting the Gospel throughout every country of the world, My Hope World Evangelism Through Television works with churches worldwide to bring countless people into a relationship with Jesus Christ."

2011 Haiti - Plans are underway for a broadcast project in 2011. Stay tuned for more details.

2010 Dominican Republic - The My Hope World Television Project launched in the Dominican Republic in April 2009. Approximately 320 pastors, key denominational leaders and parachurch group members formally invited the BGEA to conduct the My Hope project in their country at the largest launch meeting in the history of this project.

In March 2010, My Hope broadcast programs into thousands of Dominican homes, where friendship evangelism took place after massive organizational, promotional and training activities. Some 40,000 Christians across the Dominican Republic shared their faith during the largest evangelistic outreach in the Caribbean nation’s history.

    3. Why is Bristol running off to yet ANOTHER adventure, instead of going home to take care of her child? Is this family a band of gypsies?

There is only one reason Bristol would wear that scarf, especially in Haiti where it is so hot, and that is to try to cover her baby bump. Sarah knows everyone is watching Bristol, waiting for an announcement, but she still parades Bristol in front of the cameras, literally rubbing our faces in it. She cares about herself first and foremost.

Bristol is already tired of being a single mom. She's had a taste of living the rich and famous lifestyle, and she likes it. Tripp will spend more and more time with the nanny while Bristol does her own thing.

And I don't see Bristol wanting to be tied down with another child. There may be no big announcement. Bristol will quietly disappear for a while, and return in the spring to start her new reality show career or as spokesperson for Weight Watchers (look at all the weight I lost this winter!) The baby will be adopted out or given to some family member to raise.

Sarah knows she can do whatever she wants and get away with it. She always does.

I have one thing to say. I've been to Haiti several times in the past 4 years. And if you all don't think you'd be able to hold back tears when standing next to these people, please do not go. They, like New Orleans folk, are a joyous bunch. They love laughing with visitors and receiving visits from any and everyone.

Just thought I'd give my two cents since I've been. I dread any of you venturing down there with your poisonous minds but I also wouldn't want to deprive those great people the chance for future joyous moments. I have faith in all, even negative, condescending koolaid drinkers who read this blog.

So what do you all think of our Presidents tax plan, you know the one where low incomes folk pay more than the rich? The socialist friends I have are pissed, as you all should be. Pretty speeches can't continue covering for Obamas sheer ineptitude, even if the media still turns a blind eye to his vileness

About Bristol's appearance. Nope, no doubt it. The bump, the scarf, her hands...also look at her legs, she can't even sit with them together any more. I do think the photo proves that she did get toned on DWTS, hence the relatively thin arms, face, bust. This in turn shows that they were padding her all over towards the end of DWTS, to balance the size of the belly.
About adopting a Haitian baby. I think people who aren't trolls get the point, but clearly the suggestion only makes sense if the Paylins know the color of this baby will be hard to explain, so then 3-4 months from now they can present their "newly adopted" bundle of joy to the world. It would be an outrageous ploy for 100 different reasons, so no sane person would consider it. But these are the Paylins we're talking about.

What a joke, in all the pictures Sarah is just looking at the poor pitiful people and doing nothing, what a useless waste of their time. It's like Bush at Katrina doing a photo-op while people were dying around him while he seemed oblivious.

The description said Palin was on a "brief humanitarian" visit, yes we could see that it was brief and had no positive impact on the people. Seems that it was merely designed to shift the negative press on the Palins into a positive direction. So when she says she's too busy to golf like Obama, because she's been helping people, this will "prove" that.

Well aren't the Haitians blessed to have endured a year of hell on earth just so that they could have a few joyous moments like the ones they've had with you, deigning your good superior heart to come on down and grace them with your presence.

Maybe The Plague will warrant another visit from you, so you can clap and sing and spout off to the predominantly French speaking citizenry about how socialist American's are bringing the country down and that we give Barack Hussein a pass for his ineptitude and keep Sarah Palin from being President.

You are as vile as you think we are. Fair enough?

    ReplyDelete
  134. Yeah, like Sarah can't find a soup kitchen in the US to volunteer at. She gets to ride on the private jet and stay in luxury while she views (from a safe distance)pre-screened victims of the Haiti disaster. They're all in a remote, scrubbed-down "charity shelter" away from the press (except for Greta Van Suckup.) Notice that Sarah sorta smiles at the patients, showing no compassion. Diana Spencer she is not. Those children who posed with Bristol and friend were also pre-screened and disease free. Such a sham! And the people of Haiti will be no better off after Palin's visit.

Something is definitely not right with Bristol. She's wearing a scarf over her white t, and probably another layer under it. In the ADN photo 11, where Bristol is messing with Sarah's 'do, the t is catching on something. I don't believe it is the panel on maternity pants, I think it is a cotton tank top.

I've spent lots of time in the Carribean at this time of year. No one ever wears scarves like that down there, even the natives who consider Oct to March to be "winter," no matter the temp. The girl is seriously overdressed. I can understand she may not want to take off the white t to reveal the tank and her love handles, but she would at least take off the scarf.

I also highly recommend this article... http://www.alaskadispatch.com/dispatches/news/7773-palins-record-vs-palins-facebook ... finally someone takes a hard look at the reality behind the hype. Hopefully others in bigger media outlets will take up his cause.

I agree the skinny T-shirt logo says it all. That picture should go viral. When John Edwards looked vane doing his hair they wouldn't let that go. Sarah's vanity and ill will toward the less fortunate is a millions times worse in this display.

All I saw in the pictures so far are some white people on a vanity trip and having a good time for the most part. They do stop to gawk at desperately sick people and make grimaces. I don't know of another more perverse and sick display of ugly Americans in recent time. There is no 2 day humanitarian trip to a place on the verge of civil war, that has been destroyed by a natural disaster and has out of control infrastructure and medical problems. She should have spent 2 days in Washington to see about releasing funds. The US hate and discrimination against our neighbors in Haiti is not new, educate the public about the history. Stop the ugly Americans from spreading their vile.

Today, December 12, they are to allow other cameras and maybe we will get to see photos that make them look more human.

Anonymous@5:26 AM - What do we think of the President's tax plan, where low incomes folk pay more than the rich?

I'm a bit confused. Are you talking about George Bush's tax plan? The one we have? Are you talking about the tax plan where middle-class Americans pay a higher tax rate on income, than people who make more than $250,000 a year?
President Obama's tax plan intended to equalize the rate of tax, so that middle-class Americans with modest incomes didn't pay so much.
The Republican Party and Sarah Palin calls that "redistributing wealth" (as if that's a bad thing) and insists that Americans with incomes over $250,000 need to keep that tax advantage because somehow that personal wealth creates jobs. I never have figured that out - do they mean "job creation" like housekeepers, gardeners, maids, massage and skin care services?

I mean, come on, how stupid are we?
A married couple, both well-employed making $100,000 a year each, still falls under that income cap of $250,000 a year.
An executive with a $175,000 salary and a stay-at-home wife falls under that cap.
An executive with a $175,000 salary and a spouse that earns $50,000 a year, still falls under that cap.
A married couple both employed in typical jobs - receptionist, middle management, accountant, auto repair, store clerks, retail sales, etc. - are waaay under that cap, even with extra part-time jobs between them.

Obviously, Anonymous@5:26, you are one of those few Americans who take home more than $250,000 a year in personal income. As you can see, there aren't very many of you.
But don't worry. Because the Republicans aren't going to change your tax advantage. You get to hang onto your lower tax rate. People like me with college degrees and middle-class jobs will continue to pay tax at a disproportionately higher rate, in order to accommodate your lower rate.
I'll continue to pay tax for you.
Because our Congress isn't going to allow President Obama's tax plan to happen.

Is that the tax plan you mean? Is that what your "socialist friends" are bitching about?

Celia Harrison did not say she lived in Haiti or Africa, she said she explored options. I have found her to be very thorough and her information is accurate and sincere. You on the other hand need reading comprehension if you want to be believed. You may fear what Celia says and are only playing dumb to misguide others. Or you may just be out to discredit a good person because you can't handle the truth.

    Celia Harrison said...
