Commercial featured in the Superbowl goes viral, and the game has not even STARTED yet!

Well I have my snacks. The big screen is all fired up. And I am in my "watching the Superbowl sweatpants."

All I am waiting for is my brother to get here with the beer, and we can get this party started!

Update: The Doritos commercial where the grandfather comes back to life is my favorite so far. Damn funny!

I hope you survived the Star Spangled Banner as butchered by Christina Aguilera.

Her voice clearly doesn't have the range for that song and she should never have tried.

Other than that, enjoy the game!

Obama Owns Fox News and Bill O’Reilly in Super Bowl Interview

...Instead of challenging the President, these supposed hard questions were a gift to him. They allowed him to smile, address his critics on the right, and most importantly appeal to the 70% of the country that isn’t Republican. Obama was able to reinforce his image a consensus seeking moderate. It was also important that he didn’t take Bill O’Reilly’s bait on what happens if the Supreme Court throws out healthcare reform.

These Fox News interviews are a Godsend to Obama politically. They are the gift that keeps on giving. Every time Obama appears for an interview with a Fox News personality, he helps himself politically. Obama is too smart to play along with the Fox News line of questioning, and he always manages to turn the discussion towards his way of framing things. This president owns Fox News, and even as the network keeps trying to trap him with biased questions, he will continue to dominate them.

We used to do something similar when my granddaughter would visit. She was really into Harry potter, and used to wave her wand and say the charm to unlock the car doors. We always acted like it was a big deal--especially when it worked on slow elevators, too. She just accepted it as natural. After all, Grandpa is a magician.

I did not like the propoganda piece during the pregame show...Fox is trying to gear Amerikins up for another war. Also, while I am watching the game with my family and enjoying the commercials, it does kinda sicken me to think of the ridiculous amount of money spent on this event, when there is sooo much hunger in the world tonight.
    Go Steelers.

That commercial makes me so happy to be a Volkswagen driver.

Also, it's not a little boy. Our little Darth Vader is clearly a girl. Why else would she be trying to move the doll with the power of the Force? :)

Hey this is the Superbowl maiden journey for that infamous sofa your daughter twisted your arm to get. How's it workin' out for ya? Looked to me like it would be just about perfect for a Superbowl Sunday. Maybe a little pic would be in order?

Bill O'Reilly did himself no favors by attempting to interview our President. What a jackass - and could he have been anymore flustered?

President Obama just smiled throughout like the cat that swallowed the canary. Until, O'Reilly suggested President Obama didn't understand football. Wrong move Bill-O! Although no fan of O'R's, I am feeling both embarrassment and a little sorry for him right now.

Go Green Bay, in support of our good neighbors to the east.

The members of my household viewing the coverage on 2 different screens came to the same concensus. We found it offensive, and consider it Fox propoganda.
Channels were changed because of it.

An oft repeated sentiment in our house is that Professional Football is America's national religion.

This was cute, it was probably the best. I didn't find alot of humour in any of the Superbowl commercials this year.
