Protest song for Wisconsin.

Here are the lyrics courtesy of likala.

Scott Walker works for multi billionaires
John Boehner works for multi billionaires
while corporations get billions in welfare
and millions in this country been out of work for years

Sarah Palin works for multi billionaires
American workers vs multi billionaires
they wanna end social security and medicare
while millions in this country don't have a dime to spare

Can main street get a bailout
Tell the president our checks weren't mailed out
Tell the house of representatives and senate
And whatever business got the stimulus and spent it
Now they getting record profit that's tripling with no limits
But they cutting jobs and unemployment benefits have ended
How we gone live with no income coming in
And the little help we get is cut from the budget then
What's the role of government
Do workers stand a chance if multi billionaires are running it
Oh now you worried bout the deficit and cutting it
But when them banks needed billions you had enough for them.
Them car companies you had bucks for them
2 wars rebuilding 2 countries guess we stuck with them
the average citizen just ain't lucky then
cause we be getting pimped so I guess we getting fucked again

Rush Limbaugh works for multi billionaires
Bill O'Reilly works for multi billionaires
while corporations get billions in welfare
and millions in this country been out of work for years

Sean Hannity works for multi billionaires
Crazy Glenn Beck works for multi billionaires
they wanna end social security and medicare
while millions in this country don't have a dime to spare

When did the American worker become the enemy
Why is wanting a living wage such a penalty
What happened to justice and liberty
These billionaire haters wanna crush us literally
On the box is Murdoch and his foxes
And if you watch it you might as well be an ostrich
They terrorists cause they hold facts hostage
24 hours straight of we hate what Barack did
If you want to unionize your a communist
But if you buy a congressman they just call you a lobbyist
It's so obvious but here's where the problem is
they act like regular Americans but they sloppy rich
Why you think they wanna cut taxes
cause every single one of them in the higher brackets
This ain't white or black it's class warfare time for action
Just look at wide the gap is

American workers vs multi billionaires
The middle class vs multi billionaires
while corporations get billions in welfare
and millions in this country been out of work for years

Rupert Murdoch is multi billionaires
the Koch brothers are multi Billionaire
they wanna end social security and medicare
while millions in this country don't have a dime to spare

By the way it looks like the Madison police chief has some real concerns about what Governor Walker said to that fake Koch brother:

"I spent a good deal of time overnight thinking about Governor Walker's response, during his news conference yesterday, to the suggestion that his administration 'thought about' planting troublemakers among those who are peacefully protesting his bill," Wray said in a statement." I would like to hear more of an explanation from Governor Walker as to what exactly was being considered, and to what degree it was discussed by his cabinet members."

"I find it very unsettling and troubling that anyone would consider creating safety risks for our citizens and law enforcement officers. Our department works hard dialoging with those who are exercising their First Amendment right, those from both sides of the issue, to make sure we are doing everything we can to ensure they can demonstrate safely," he said.

A Washington Watchdog group has some real concerns as well:

The Public Campaign Action fund alleges that this represents an effort to coordinate spending with an independent entity, which may be illegal under Wisconsin law. The group also alleges that such a call may not be received on or made from state property.

It appears to me that Governor Walker may have quite a lot on his plate.  Perhaps trying to bust the unions was not quite as good of an idea as his corporate overlords told him it was. Ya think?

It does not look like he will back down any time soon. Unless and until the majority of the people of his state demand he end the confrontation he will stand his ground. He sees himself as the leader of the republican governors who are working to eliminate power in the hands of the middle class via unions.

Me thinks the Republicans are doing a super job os assuring that in two more years they'll all have their assed voted out. Good riddens.

Now union workers in Wisconsin, STRIKE! Shut down the whole fucking state - transportation, airports, trash, police, sports, shut it down, and let the Republicans suck on that for a while! Strike! Strike! Strike!

What's the difference between Muammar Gaddafi and Scott Walker?

    Gaddafi has some principles.

Perhaps, but so far this has not stopped the Wisconsin Assembly from ramming anti-union anti-worker legislation through. It is now headed for the Wisonsin senate.

Have these people in the Wisonsin assemply been compensated for doing the Koch brothers biding?

  6. Great job on the song!!

Does anyone have a news site that is covering the real issues of the day they can recommend? I am sick of going on MSN and seeing the daily "garbage" they think we should be interested in...now they are suggesting people scramble to eat it.

Gleaning? A Way to Get Free Groceries

Gleaners rescue boxes of produce & other expired foods before they hit the garbage. See how much money this practice can save you & why you may want to start.

Congratulations to the Koch Brothers! You now seem to own Wisconsin. And if you like what you've bought, perhaps we can interest you in these other nice 49 states. Sorry, by the way, for those pesky public employees in Wisconsin. You can get rid of them if you want to.

Anyone who would like to know what the police chief might be worrying about should read about the union wars in Pennsylvania and the role of the Pinkerton guards in murder of people fighting. To read it with a spoonful of sugar, try the John Dos Passos trilogy.

eSkaep, Try madison.com, the online version of the Madison Journal and Capital Times.

I understand how you might be annoyed with MSN, but just know gleaning is a highly respected practice in Anchorage, where it is called dumpster diving.
When I worked for one of the richest men in the state just out of college, my salary didn't go very far. I discovered that fruit and vegetables could be had if one gleaned from the dumpsters behind Carrs and Safeway. Eventually, the stock crews got to know me and set stuff they were throwing out aside.

Such gleaning kept a woman and her two children alive one winter after her husband abandoned them.

By the way, I made sure that wealthy Alaskan got a union. He and his empire are dead and gone. Good riddance.

7:17, I don't know if I can give up my Quilted Northern. Could what I do to it be considered symbolic?

I guess if people are gleaning now , just wait until they get rid of all unions, bargining . wages will fall we will be eating out of the garbage bins. With no birth control , having to have babies every year or get charged for murder, having to stay at home to care for all the babies, they will expect you to sign years of your life over to them ,and sell them your children for the cheapest labor.

This is a great song. Thanks for posting the link.

The lyrics are posted- with no credits. They will be copied and sent- probably with no credits.

Could the name of the group and the writer of the lyrics get some credit at your posting?

Could these people also get some credit in your tags for easier searching.

Don't want to rant because I'm sure this was an unintentional oversight. But Damn wouldn't it burn if it was me or you?

Koch Execs Respond To Prank Call: We Will Not 'Back Off'

    http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/02/koch_execs_respond_to_prank_call_we_will_not_back_off.php#more

"With the Left trying to intimidate the Koch brothers to back off of their support for freedom and signaling to others that this is what happens if you oppose the administration and its allies, we have no choice but to continue to fight," Fink said. "We will not step back at all. We firmly believe that economic freedom has benefited the overwhelming majority of society, including workers, who earn higher wages when you have open and free markets. When government grows as it has with the Bush and Obama administrations, that is what destroys prosperity."

    What more can you say?

  22. Thanks, will check those out!

Have connected with DemocracyNow, love their interviews and in-depth coverage, and Media Matters...going after Faux, but I check the news six to eight+ times a day (with the occasional break with Colbert/Stewart) and know there are lots more things that genuinely matter to people of this nation going on in our country.

Of course, this blog has been one of the highlights of my day since I found it :–) I'm just done with wasting my time even looking again at Lohan or Sheen or the latest model competition, how they make front page, and Wisconsin doesn't, no longer works for me.

Won't matter what the people of Wisconsin want.We had a surplus till Walker gave it away and the public employees gave Walker what he wanted in wage cuts and pension payments from their paychecks which took care of the deficit but that is not what Walker wanted. He wants the unions stopped once and for all just like he was told by his party bosses and Koch brothers and of course Murdock who controls a lot of media.

Thank you so much, Anonymous at 7:17. I love the list! As we know, they will listen to the boycott of their products. I live in Wisconsin, and this just makes me sick. It's very frustrating knowing there is not too much we can do outside of protesting, as you can see, our new Governor will not listen to anyone except his supporters, and who he thought was David Koch.

What I find interesting is that there have been reports around the world of goons coming in during protests, for example of the WTO, and causing pillage and damage, and then the police come in and bust heads of the common people, and break up the peaceful demonstrations, while leaving those perpetrators alone. There have been rumors of these people even leaving in police cars together with the police, or being dropped off by the police before they go on their rampage.

So you wonder whether such rumors are true and then you see this idea calmly presented to Gov Walker and he responds that yes, he's considered it. He should e impeached.

  29. I am in Sacramento tonight. I will be at the big noon rally tomorrow to support unions. There is a tea party counter rally. The union my husband belongs to is not allowed direct contact with the tea party folks. I am not constrained by that because I am not part of the union. I just might get a bit aggressive tomorrow. Got my sign, got my union shirt, got my fuck-the-tea-party attitude. Go Unions!!!!

  30. Gryphen,

Any idea what's up with the onslaught of "Like Scott Walker--Vote here now!" ads that are popping up everywhere? Saw one on your site... then found more on a YouTube videos regarding Al Franken. Noticed you also have an ad for Boehner....

Looks like Republicons are flooding Google Ads. Curious if anyone knows who is behind the Walker poll (which I hope most people know to ignore)...but may not be worth it, it's probably just another Republicon annoyance...
