Yep, she's still running!

From CNN Politics:

Sarah Palin has added a veteran Republican strategist to serve as chief-of-staff for her political action committee, Sarah PAC, CNN has learned.

Michael Glassner, an attorney and longtime adviser to former Kansas senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole, has signed on to steer the former Alaska governor's political operation as she considers a possible 2012 presidential bid.

"We are happy and excited that Mike is joining our team," Sarah PAC spokesman Tim Crawford told CNN.

Despite everything that has happened recently Palin is still plowing ahead with her desire to throw her hat in the ring of GOP hopefuls for 2012.

Hey if there are P-Bots still dumb enough to send her their children's college money to help pay for her next botox injections, I guess we could not expect her to turn them away now can we?

After all we don't call her Grannie Grifter for nothing.

She can't lead a dog-sled let alone a country such as the U.S.
Can you just imagine her SOTU word-salad speech? I can hear Americans now saying, "WTF did she say!!??"

Or that she is another Bush who'll get in because

sure die hard repubes will still toe the line on

this is for the PAC. And this guy's career is at an end. Perhaps this is his 'swan' song?

Perhaps making Palin run, is the best. Then when she gets creamed in a primary, we'll not hear from her again?

It seems this new Chief of Staff is just as dirty as Grifter Dumbass. I don't believe she is going to run. This guy is hired as a front to swindle Palinbots into giving more money. It's a front.

If stupid Palinbots want to continue sending dumbass their hard earn money; then they deserve to be swindled for every dime. I don't feel sorry for them what so ever. They have been warned about Grifter Dumbass on so many occassions, yet the mindless zombies continue to send money.

Grifter Dumbass is the media's cash cow and that is why she is still in the spotlight. Believe me, most of these talking heads in the media know she is not fit to take out the garbage.

This just sickens me. She is such a toxic, putrid, hate-spewing, mean, vindictive, ignorant, vile, pathological lying piece of human garbage. All she will do is lower the discourse of the campaign conversation and we will have to witness the global embarrassment of her hoisted herself onto the world stage with all her trailer trash snark and snarls. Oh PLEASE someone take her DOWN!

I've always thought she would run. She's going to run a completely incoherent, imcompetent kind of campaign from the sidelines- tweeting and facebooking and appearing only at very carerully selected "safe" venues where you have to get tickets from the local Party to get in. She's not going to be interviewed by anyone except Fox. She'll screw it up, of course, because she has the habit of failure and she's too dense to know what she's doing wrong- but it's going to be funny as hell to watch.

The silly woman does not realize the guy is in it for the $$ and the press, nothing more. His criminal record does not worry them. Grifters don't worry until they are caught red handed - that's how they roll.

Some people have a real dislike of those who do not take their marriage vows seriously. Mrs. Palin cuckolded Todd and he cuckolded her. That may be okay with them, but NOT the majority of folks who vote in the lower 48.

i would almost be willing to bet a penny to anyone who thinks she could get nominated, just to see how many think she has a shot at that level of interaction. beyond the nomination she will never go.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Anonymous7:48 AM

Of course she is going to run but not because she really expects to become POTUS. This extends the cash flow just a bit longer because "ya gotta get it while ya can." The gig is just about up and $arah knows she must pad the bank account for when she just kind of goes away like Anita Bryant. It's all for personal gain, besides - the POTUS salary isn't enough money plus you have to actually do a job, and spouting out ramblings just won't cut it.

Of course this won't all happen without creating more chaos in uncertain times. $arah isn't really concerned about the welfare of anyone but herself. Whatever uprising she incites, she will just take her money and run when it's time to do so.

    7:20 A.M.,

I'll count her out. She may not even win the republican nomination. That is not a slam dunk for her, either. She would be crushed in the general election. George W. Bush had the backing of the republican establishment to pull off all those tricks. The establishment republicans can't stand Palin, and don't want her to run. If she runs, she could further divide the republican party. The republican primaries could be a bloodbath.

Not only that, Palin can't handle the scrutiny. She thinks it will be easy. Running for president is different than being a VP candidate. She's already got so much baggage, and her negatives have gotten worse over time. And, many of her views are out of the mainstream. Palin thinks medicare vouchers are a good idea. Good luck campaigning on that.

Crappy poll numbers such as Palin's are very hard to overcome. Hillary Clintion's poll numbers were headed in a positive direction by the time she announced that she was going to run for president. Palin's numbers are still headed in the wrong direction.

Anyway, Palin running will just give the G.O.P. more headaches. She, and Michele Bachmann could make things worse. There is already trouble brewing between the tea party and the republican establishment in congress. The G.O.P. establishment v.s. the tea party in 2012 could get very interesting. If they are divided, that's good for the democrats.

  32. Obviously when Sarah was a little girl her parents told her that anyone who picked on her (or criticized her, etc) did so because they were jealous of her... and Sarah has carried that advice into adulthood and she now thinks that all of us who are making observations like "Sarah Palin is an IDIOT! She couldn't run a Dairy Queen let alone the USA!" are secretly jealous of her superior intelligence and beauty. She is clearly delusional! Sarah Palin is a joke and it seems that she's the only one who isn't in on the laugh.

Does he know that she is a two-faced lyin' hyporcritical money-grubbin' grifter?

A bipartisan crowd of 900 Alaskans showed they do last week.

I wonder what RAM has to say about her boss's latest effort to add to her string of tax-payer financed personal benefits, like family travel and per diem for living in her own house.

Now we have small government lovin', deficit hatin' Palin with her hand out for yet another taxpayer subsidy- this time to have 40% of her huge salary from her reality show paid by taxpayers in Alaska.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqhWhBGOEr8&feature=feedlik

And now we learn why she was paid so much for her "reality" show- because she was going to have 40% of it paid through a taxpayer subsidy. Yup- she sure believes in small government and deficit reductions- except when she has her hand out!

She may want to run. She may think, in her deluded mind, that she has a chance to win and can actually do the job.

However, the Republican Party will not allow her to get close to the primary. I have no doubt that there are boxes of files and documents in some office somewhere, just waiting for the day she makes her grand announcement. They may allow her to keep hauling in the money and hogging the spotlight, but the moment she makes a deliberate move towards the nomination, she will be taken down by some carefully leaked scandal.

They know she cannot win and will make the party a laughing stock. They've worked too hard to make the gains they did in 2010 to throw it all away when it would be so easy to take her out of the race.

You got to wonder if she thinks she can overcome all the hurdles that are still waiting for her ahead. The Palins have got to be one dirty bunch, there's no way around it--they are typical of small-town politics.

If she really believes her own delirious mind, then it should be quite amusing to see her go for it. It could hopefully destroy a unified, lock-step GOP. That's all they've anyway, a uniform veneer with nothing underneath.

Still say a Palin-Bachmann ticket would be fricking hysterical.

Time to shyt or get off the pot.

I think Palin is doing this little exercise, but is not serious about going all the way like she did before her marriage to Todd. Look at what that got her, Todd!

Palin is going far enough to make some more money before her 1 minute is up and then she will say that she sees the lay of the land and feels comfortable with the teabagger's candidate. No pun intended, but the lay of the land Sarah's sees are Todd's bed buddies.

I also believe Sarah will go far enough to get the title President Candidate Sarah Palin, something FOX can also use to introduce her when she talks to Hannity. There is no way Palin is going to let the press invade her privacy or see her children's birth certificates or educational transcripts. This new guy Palin hired is expendable and will be thrown under the bus when she gets what she wants, a new title.

For the record, Palin does not want no part of Donald Trump if he decides to run. He won't pull any punches. In the Donald's famous words, "Sarah Palin, you're FIRED".

Sigh...I wish she would just fade away.

Palin is the most self-serving "celebritician" ever to fog up the political landscape, and that's quite a feat in itself given the current cast of characters.

Politics, speaking for money, and being her royal, righteous, reloading self is now her bread and butter. She knows a great money making machine when she sees one. She will not give that up, but will milk it for all she can until her loyal fans desert her.

I just wonder what it will take to wake them up from their stupor?

I think she knows she can't win, but is hoping for a "Sarah Palin Movie" to come out of this. Becoming a presidential candidate, and the drama that follows, in addition to her wild life since the 2008 campaign, has enough intriguing fodder to warrant a movie interest.

Really, I think in her head, she's hoping her roguish lifestyle will precipitate offers to make a movie about her and her family's life. Is that why she applied for a trademark?

But now, one of the formerly untouchable IDT officials has resumed a new, more prominent, role on McCain's team -- specifically, overseeing Sarah Palin's travel, schedule and communications operations.

As Portfolio's Lucy Komisar reported in July, IDT head Jim Courter served as one of McCain's "trailblazers," meaning he had raised over $100,000 for the GOP nominee. But soon after news of his company's shady business dealings came to light, he stepped down as a fundraiser, and his name disappeared from the McCain campaign's website, as did the name of Michael Glassner, another McCain bundler who served as a corporate communications official and vice-president at IDT until April. At issue was the company's alleged deal made with former Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide for a monopoly on telephone service in exchange for kickbacks paid into an offshore shell corporation. If true, that would represent a violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The company was tagged with its FCC fine for having failed to disclose its contract with Haiti.

But now, according to a report in the New Jersey Star-Ledger, Glassner has taken an arguably much more plum role in McCain's universe.

"Glassner is the head of vice presidential operations for the McCain campaign, overseeing Sarah Palin's travel, schedule and communications,"

  98. It will be interesting to watch how the Republicans respond if she throws her hat into their primary race. I often thought that Palin would forgo the primaries and run on the 2012 ticket as a Tea Party Independent, thus she could keep doing things as she has been; avoiding real media and only addressing like minded supporters.

Whatever her decision she will fracture the Republican Party, the base will rally 'round her but that won't be enough. I'm wondering if she isn't entering the race to legitimize an actual Tea Party by pulling the base from under the GOP and bringing them over to the TP realm for good. This could be a good thing for Progressives as it would create a GOP that becomes more centrist in an ongoing effort to distance themselves from the Tea Party.

Whatever happens it will make for some interesting internet and TV, I'm sure!

Sorry to be a buzzkill/ Debbie Downer and harsh your mellow, but…WTF? Why this guy? He’s never managed a winning campaign and most likely hired Nicole Wallace and the rest of the backstabbers and Democrap moles who sabotaged the McCain campaign. Anybody who would greenlight a six hour inquisition by a hostile and openly leftist propagandist hack like Perky McBitchy (and allow it to be edited into what could only be described as an Obozo campaign commercial) is not to be trusted. I have a lot of other things to bitch about too. They never even attempted to counter any of the lies put forth by the media, and since they gave Sarah the mushroom treatment (fed her sh!t and kept her in the dark) she didn’t know about the lies so she could counter them herself. Then, after the campaign was over, they made up more lies and used her as a scapegoat for their own miserable failure.

I have no problem with her hiring people like Recher (who was basically an advance-man/ assistant and wasn’t making major decisions), but that campaign was horribly managed and I don’t want my SarahPAC donations going to any of the incompetent jackwagons, moles, and trolls who were managing it.

I’m not at all pleased or encouraged by this development, and I’m not donating any more money until i find out more about it.

I just laugh at the fools who continue to throw their money at her. She's using them, and they don't even know it.

I've been a regular reader of this blog since 2008, and I would love nothing more than to see Sarah Palin crash and burn. But I'm also a spiritual person and I hate to see so many people angry or upset by this news.

It's my belief that Sarah, in her bizarre, twisted way, is doing a great service to us all - just as the universe has planned. Because maybe it will take the extreme lunacy and radicalism of a Palin campaign to actually wake Americans up and let them finally envision a progressive, sensible plan for the future of this country.

Sarah Palin represents everything that is wrong with the US - greed, media manipulation, racism, arrogance, failing education. She is a tool for the rich, and the perfect wake-up call for a nation that has become largely apathetic. So I say run, Sarah, run!

God has opened a door alright, but I think it's for the soul of our country, not the personal enrichment of some bat-shit crazy narcissist.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Sarah Palin has never gone through the primary process. If she gets that far, she will try to bluff her way through and control the media exposure. She knows that probably won't work; the primary season is bloody and it's survival of the fittest. She is just teasing some more money from her avid supporters and, at the last possible moment, she'll say that she weighed the options and decided that her family needed her or some such malarkey. And her bots will believe her. In fact, they would believe her if Todd were found shot and she held the smoking gun. No matter what proof is offered of her immoral and illegal activities, there are certain people who will believe she was framed. We can only hope to convince the vast majority that she is like Kryptonite to real democracy.

  111. I'm not surprised at this development. It's the pathology of Sarah Palin that she MUST run.

Even knowing that her poll numbers are in the toilet and that 72% of Americans just don't want her anywhere near the White House will not deter her. Sarah Palin's narcissism won't let her fade into the background while the Presidential candidates take the limelight.

Her options are to run and lose, with the upside of the added prestige of having been a presidential candidate, or not run and feel like a loser. Palin will fight tooth and nail against being the has-been that she actually is.

Maybe the GOP wants a few early resounding primary victories to give someone clear frontrunner status. That might make the primaries less painful and bring the candidate to the convention just glowing with possibility.

Palin in the first couple primaries would be the sacrifical lamb for that scenario. So maybe the GOP is going to try to bury babygate possibly permanently.

After Palin has served her purpose, whatever made her quit the governorship will every so gently rear its ugly head again.

Palin will be relegated to fundraising until it's clear that plastic surgery can even fool the old fat cats anymore. After that, a comfy ride on religion TV.

I've seen this poor slob's comments on various sites, but it never fails to amaze me when I witness the crazy, delusional ticking of their brains.

First the irony is searing: on one hand, Palin is the Mama Grizzly, taking on her party, bucking up the AK economy, and putting the Corrupt Bastards in jail (yes, I know, not one shred of truth), yet on the other hand it's poor Palin, kept in the dark, pounded into submission by perky little Katie Couric (I understand there was very little editing done: what Palin said is what she said. Instead, only segments of the entire interview were included. Boy, I'd love to see the entire thing beginning to end. I have a feeling Katie was actually kind to Sarah) and victimized by the horribly mean McCain people. (Wah!).

Second, they are in full throttle worship mode. It's a very strange dynamic.

At that point, I expect to see her do more reality TV stints and hawking lots of products. Interesting that palinbots, Teabaggers, and Democrats are all on the same page when it comes to Sarah's possible run for US President. Everybody wants her to run and actually win the Republican nomination.

That's the best she can do since Jason Recher left her? At least, I think he's gone since we haven't heard a word about him and he was seen accompanying President Bush to book signings. Who else has she hired? It takes far more than the handful of people she has working with her to even attempt to run for President. Is it possible he's just a replacement for Recher and she's getting ready to attempt to do in 2012 what she did in 2010 although with far less in the way of results that she'll be happy with since she's washed up. They aren't talking about her much at all on the news shows when a show never went by without a mention of her name for well over a year, despite whatever stupid thing they were talking about in reference to Palin.

I find it amazing that she gets all upset with Time over an article that was mistaken for reality, it's been done at Fox more than once, but doesn't say a word about Trippgate or Babygate and the effects Shailey Tripp will have on her fake pregnancy! She's unable to say anything because it's all true.
