You know I did not think I could like the people of Madison, Wisconsin any more than I already do. But I was wrong.
THIS is what should happen every single time a Fox reporter shows up to vilify unions, demonize Democrats, and spread GOP propaganda. (Read more over at the Huffington Post.)
By the way speaking of propaganda and lies, the Grizzled Mama is trying to attach her name to the Wisconsin situation in a desperate attempt to get some media attention. (Oh, don't worry dear Sarah, soon you will have more media attention than you can possibly stand!)
Her Facebook post is ghostwritten like usual and therefore not worth covering, but here let me quickly identify some of the most obvious lies.
"Months ago, I penned a message." No you didn't. Somebody wrote that for you just like they have since back when you were first running for Governor.
"I am a friend to hard working union members and to teachers." Total bullshit!
"My own children attend public schools." Really, which one? So far none of us can find a public school in which any of your kids are enrolled. Another lie.
Of course even a broken clock is right twice a day, and so Palin accidentally slips a little truth in this next sentence.
"As goes Wisconsin today, so goes the country tomorrow."
Amen to that sister. Which is why ALL Americans should support the teachers, firefighters, police officers, and other hard working people of Wisconsin who are standing up to the union busting Governor.

I know one thing for sure: The good hard working honest people in my beloved state of Wisconsin will have no problem telling Sarah or any other "outsider" who tries to spout their tea party garbage to get the HELL OUT OF OUR STATE!!! I am so proud of these Wisconsinites for standing up for their rights. This isn't about balancing our budget, it's union busting plain and simple. The Koch brothers are busing in some tea party supporters today to start some problems. Well it's not going to happen. We are a peaceful bunch, no guns, no violence, we just want our voice to be heard and be able to bargain collectivley. Thanks for the words of encourgement it means alot to know we have people like you Gryphen in our corner.
ReplyDeleteAs a resident of WI this is quite a mess. Sarah Palin needs to keep her uneducated, ignorant @$$ out of an issue she has no understanding of. Naturally this is just one of many issues she's ignorant on though and she still plows forward with inane thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI actually posted a few thoughts on my blog this morning about this issue here in WI. It's unbelievable the number of people blaming unions 100% on this issue. The naivety of people never ceases to amaze me, on both sides of this issue.
Don't look now but the teabaggers are about to descend on Madison this morning.
ReplyDeleteI love the "Fox lies" guy. What a terrific man.
ReplyDeleteSharon1943
Did you see what Sarah said about breastfeedibg? Does this mother of four/five really not know that babies don't drink cow's milk? Did she have any of her kids or is she just that much of a pisspoor mother?
ReplyDeleteYes, let's all look back at Sarah's record as a model contributing member of her PTA days. . .no? Okay, how about her childrens illustrious Best Attendance awards for school? No? Their good grades and H.S. diploma's?
ReplyDeleteHow about the humbling respect they universally share as a family toward teachers?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9lA1s4LUYA
As Sarah says, don't let the liberal media slant her record - we only have to use our own eyes.

Maybe she was writing about her thug/boss hubby?
Older_Wiser
Using Facebook as her way to get herself out there is about as lazy as it gets. Let me guess, she was on her way back from LI yesterday and her newly boosted staff say to her, "You need to comment about what's going on in Wisconsin", and she said "OK, say whatever it is you think I should say" and then she, maybe, gave it a cursory read, since it sums up for her how they want her to feel about the issue, and then they posted it as though she was acting alone. And then she gets a headline "Sarah Palin comments on Wisconsin". Give me a break. Any nitwit can run a campaign, that way. Oh yeah, she is.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Russ Feingold when you need him?
ReplyDeleteAnother "Palin" penned piece? Nope. Too comprehensive and well written, not her style. If we had to "verify" that she could back up her words, she'd display that flustered deer in the headlights look and hope to god she wore her good push-up bra that day.
ReplyDelete"As goes Wisconsin today, so goes the country tomorrow."
Does it singe her hair extensions to come up with such wise sayings?
No.
The plagiarist is at it again, playing on the famous musings of Winston Churchill. Her Palinbots are already orgasming to her sage wisdom. Vomit.
OK I had to click on this HuffPo article. It is just too funny and scary. This is the type of stuff people need to know about how stupid Sarah really is:
ReplyDelete"Sarah Palin: Bristol Googled Information On The Economy For Me"
Although, they forgot to add... "So we could bill SarahPAC for Bristol's trip"
I forgot to add that Sarah will say the "Googling Bristol" story was just a joke but we all know it wasn't. The only joke I can see is Sarah.
ReplyDeleteWhat is going on in Wisconsin Is union busting. The unions have agreed to financial concessions,Governor Walker has rejected their offer and wants to take away their rights to collective bargaining.Nothing more then another attack on the middle class by the right wingers.Stand tall Wisconsinites we are with you.
ReplyDeleteShe better kiss up to unions involving police, teachers and state troopers. If not, they could level her with their information. We wouldn't want to piss off those public servants, would we, Sarah??
ReplyDeleteO/t but stupid Sarah says she had Bristol google the economy for her. There is a story in HuffPo about it and the comments are hysterical.I had to stop reading because my sides were aching from laughter.Just when you think she couldn't say any thing dumber. Her ignorance is staggering.
ReplyDeleteWisconsin workers are willing to pay more their benefits and sacrifice some pay raises. It is the dismantling of the unions themselves, and the loss of collective bargaining, that is the issue of the protests. Sarah, have Bristol go back into the Google, please.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could be in Wisconsin. Well, maybe Palin's right, and this will spread to every state in the country, including my own. And I can show up to stand against the union-bashing barbarians like Palin.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I hear they're going to bus in the Tea Party to protest against the unions. This should be interesting. I hope it will broadcast to America just what side the Tea Party is really on. When push comes to shove, they support the elite governor against the teachers and the social workers and the nurses.
First They came... - Pastor Martin Niemoller
ReplyDeleteFirst they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
GO UNION WORKERS in Wisconsin!! The sane amongst us have your backs!!
I love it! It's all great, hearing the crowd yell "Fox LIES!", but I particularly LOVE the guy in the knit hat at the end. He gets right into the reporter's face and won't quit. He represents soooo many of us who yell that at our TV's! I don't personally watch Fox News...can't stomach it, but if I DID, I'm sure that would be what I would be yelling, at the very least.
ReplyDeleteThis rich celebrity is lecturing union members marching in the freezing cold for their basic rights about sacrifice??
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin, take note: Working people are fed up with shouldering all the sacrifices in this country. Now go fly a private jet to one of your overpaid speeches somewhere; you bring NOTHING to this issue.
Sacrifice by all, my foot. If Walker is so concerned about a balanced budget (he isn't), then he shouldn't have just given a huge tax break to corporations.
Standing in solidarity with WI!!
ReplyDeleteWish I could be there.
I just KNEW that Simple Sarah never found a controversy that she wasn't willing to inject her ignorant self into. This proves to be no exception. She is a well-paid parrot who echoes the nonsense that unions must sacrifice in the name of national solidarity. Until she is willing to sacrifice one penny of her millions, or the wealthy are willing to sacrifice, I refuse to take any of them seriously. I also refuse to take Congress seriously unless they are about cuts in our bloated military budget.
ReplyDeleteScott Walker's efforts at union-busting are painfully obvious. His manufacturing of a budget crisis by giving tax breaks to his cronies only add insult to injury, as do his efforts against unions that didn't endorse him for election. Fortuntely, there are even police officers in Wisconsin who are standing by their fellow union members as a measure of solidarity.
I am a public service worker here in DC, and for now, we are taking furlough days on holidays. Our mayor and our councilmembers are also taking furlough days, which gives me respect for them. Unlike Scott Walker and others, they lead by example and at least they listened to our union reps.
I understand that the same thing is brewing in other states, particularly Ohio, the state that Crybaby Boner hails from.
"You need to comment about what's going on in Wisconsin", and she said "OK, say whatever it is you think I should say"
ReplyDeleteActually, she probably first said, "What's going on in Wisconsin?"
My bad: " ... she probably first said, "What's going on in Wisconsin?""
ReplyDeleteIt was: "Bristol, google what's happening in Wisconsin."
She is one sicko (crazy bitch) . Riding on the backs of hard working folks who want to have a say and be involved in the process, and not dictated to by the Governor who wants to be the boss of everyone.
ReplyDeleteShe has no soul . She needs to back off ! and quit trying to take personal credit away from the true heros .I can't wait until She is truly exposed for the Vermin tht she is and shunned by everyone .She will die a haggard, lonely, old vindictive shell .
I LOVE the Fox Lies Guy!! I paused and replayed his section. Still LOL over here. Loved when the "reporter" asked if he had an opinion and in a slightly different tone and raised eyebrows, he said, "Fox Lies." Yeah.
ReplyDelete...or maybe, "Where's Wisconsin?"
ReplyDelete@ 6:09
ReplyDeleteWhat she really said was "What's Wisconsin?"
Ok, here's the thing...people go into public sector jobs specifically for the benefits...they make substantially lower wages for comparable private sector jobs because benefits (paid holidays, vacation time, etc)are part of the overall compensation package. Without that, no one would even take them...I mean really how much would it suck to work at the DMV?
ReplyDeleteIf Scott Walker wants to play this game, he needs to systematically go through all the public positions and pay grades, and put them in line with private sector pay. End of story. He can't, and won't, because it is impossible.
I listened to this douche give his press conference last night, and he is hell bent on union busting, just doing his Koch overlords' bidding. This should be a wake up call to everyone who ever votes Republican, is too lazy to vote, or thinks they don't matter. I can guarantee you that a surprising percentage of people in these protests actually voted for this guy, or even sat out the election. Lesson learned....vote, volonteer, make phone calls, get the word out, or this is what you wind up with.
Hurrah for the people of Wisconsin!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Opportunist PaYlin - just shut up before the Koch brothers take notice and cut off your $$$.
The quotes you provided from her recently "penned" Facebook post make her seem reasonable, Gryphen. Her actual post is much more inflammatory since she asks public employees to make sacrifices. LMAO at the grifter asking nurses, firefighters, teachers, police officers, and snow plow drivers to make sacrifices.
ReplyDeleteWhat about 2/3 of corporations that don't pay taxes in WI, Sarah? What about the billions the Koch Brothers make in WI, Sarah? What about another Republican Governor who is bought and paid for by Koch!
Republican Governors = THE NEW CORPORATE LOOPHOLE!
Just as an update the two major unions in WI are willing to accept the wage/benefit concessions but the Gov is unwilling to talk or negotiate with them. It's all about busting the unions, nothing more.

Ironic: http://www.ecorazzi.com/2011/02/18/shocker-sarah-palin-hires-vegetarian-as-chief-of-staff/
ReplyDeleteAdvice to Glassner, since yours doesn't seem so good these days: You may want to start sending your resume out, or skip that and go straight to turning in a 2-week-notice since the Good Ship Lollipop, I mean Of Suckers, has hit an iceberg. Titanic comes to mind. I know the crew has been "milking" Sarah's hysteria for all it's worth, but if ever there was a time to jump ship, it's now.
...I mean really how much would it suck to work at the DMV?
ReplyDeleteI take issue with this. The PA DMV is staffed by handicapped people . Physically and sonme mentally handicapped people. They do an excellent job and take pride in their work. It is a wonderful fit for these people. Not sure how it goes in other states, but PA has found a nice solution for handicapped people who want to work and can work.
I always think I couldn't dislike Scarah any more than I already do but she always proves me wrong. No matter, because Scarah, you are about to be taken out with the trash.
ReplyDelete"people go into public sector jobs specifically for the benefits."
ReplyDeleteI don't think this is true one bit. I know many teachers, firefighters, police, and other government workers. They went into their chosen fiend because there was NO private sector equivalent. They wanted to teach all kids, not just ones whose parents can pay. They wanted to fight fires or help make our streets safer. They wanted to help people stay out of jail.
Anon @4:56. I did my best to keep Feingold in office. I knew WI was going downhill fast when Feingold lost to the slimy teaparty and Walker won. I'm a life long WI resident and am very proud of how the people are standing together against Walker and his imperalism.
ReplyDeleteWe have our own version of Palin here in WI - Rebecca Kleefisch, Lieutenant Governor who during the campaign refused to debate the democratic Lt. Gov candidate.
maybe Gryphen can give me a few tips on starting a blog so I can try to bring Kleefisch down - she is a nasty, dangerous piece of work.
Walker is just reading out of the Gipper's playbook. Saint Ronald busted the air traffic controllers. And now this. I hope that Wisconsinites are now sorry they voted out Russ Feingold. And the far right blames Obama for destroying America.
ReplyDeleteSarah's been given a way to back out: http://lynnrockets.wordpress.com/2011/02/19/mann-coulter-says-sarah-palin-is-more-powerful-than-the-presidency/
ReplyDeleteGryphen... give us a hint.
ReplyDeleteDoes Frank cover babygate?
Sarah..ask Bristol to google where Wisconsin is on a map.
ReplyDeleteBristol is such a hard ass worker.. hard to believe she has time to fly to NY and google for her dumb ass mom.
Bristol ... you grifting gig is about to come to an end. Get all the money you can out of SarahPAC before it dries up.
Today will be my third day of protesting. I am a teacher - and regardless of what Sis Sarah says, all of the unions agreed to the cuts yesterday, but Walker said it's not enough, collective bargaining has to be gone. SO this is all about union busting not shared sacrifice. And since when did Sarah sacrifice for anyone? I've posted some protest blog entries at http://open.salon.com/blog/nsec if anyone is interested (not trying to spam for my blog, so feel free to delete the link if you wish!
ReplyDelete"maybe Gryphen can give me a few tips on starting a blog so I can try to bring Kleefisch down - she is a nasty, dangerous piece of work."
ReplyDeleteThe only good thing that may come from the fiasco known as Sarah Palin is that it has reminded and encouraged people to recognize that people like her exist and call them on their shenanigans.
Did you notice the fox guy. While they are chanting that "fox lies" the reporter told them he was doing the business news. I guess that was kinda telling them he had nothing to do with the other news. I didn't hear it in the clip you posted but I heard it yesterday in one of the clips. I guess maybe it was some sort of mental slip because he knows fox lies.
ReplyDeleteWisconsinites, stand strong, we are with you! I wish I lived closer, I would be proud to join you.
ReplyDeleteThe arrival of the teapartiers on their Koch buses will cause an otherwise peaceful protest to become violent. You would think that they would support collective bargaining, but you just can't fix stupid.
ReplyDeleteStay safe Madison! (my hometown) On Wisconsin!
Why is the media not making more of a point to explain that this 'budget crisis' was created by the governor's corporate tax break? Before he passed this break as a favor to his wealthy friends, including the Koch brothers who donated big bucks to his campaign, Wisconsin was anticipating a budget surplus.
ReplyDeleteNow the unions are willing to negotiate on issues that will directly affect the budget, but he wants to eliminate the power of the unions to negotiate everything. Clearly, this has nothing to do with budget shortfalls and everything to do with destroying unions so the Koch brothers can make even more obscene profits than they already do...and damage more of the environment on the process.
I'm in TN never have marched for anything before. I'm ready to march for women's rights and for workers. My very small pension is due to UAW workers who gave up money, cost of living, which was never gotten back. They ended up giving up lots of benefits andby the way, it never stops what they want back, just to keep a job. I've looked can't find any marches around here.
ReplyDeleteOT but LOL...
ReplyDeletehttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/19/kathy-griffin-glee-guest-star_n_825493.html
I hope the people in this country wake up. FOX News has neatly woven God and Country into their propaganda until the low information voters cannot tell the difference. And of course, don't forget how FOX feeds into their fears of "the other." Those who should know better are sucked in by the promise that they, too, can be millionaires. And none of these idiots comprehends how everything they have today they owe to unions. Somehow the idea that shareholders speak through a common voice is good, yet if workers do the same, it's "bad for America." How does this make sense?
ReplyDeleteGryphen.. be a good neighbor and take a bottle of aspirin to Sarah.
ReplyDeleteShe may have a headache from reading what Frank is now saying.
OT, but it brought a huge smile...
ReplyDeletehttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/19/kathy-griffin-glee-guest-star_n_825493.html
"The only good thing that may come from the fiasco known as Sarah Palin is that it has reminded and encouraged people to recognize that people like her exist and call them on their shenanigans."
ReplyDeleteIt is not all about Sarah. It is about something much larger..... our future and how to take a part in it's unfolding.
You know,I cannot think of one television station that epitomizes a "state-run network" more than FOX News.
ReplyDeleteDuh, 7:08 you just made my point for me, and so did you 7:12...do you think there is a private sector job you can work in for twenty years and retire at full pension? I have no doubt these people love what they do, but would they be willing to put their lives on the line every day for a measley 401k match and health benefits that cost them $1000 per month? Get real.
ReplyDeleteI have tons of family and friend who are teachers, firefighters, cops, etc, and they all tell me they would not do the jobs they love for such low wages if it weren't for the benefits and union rules that protect them.I support the unions.
To the post at 7;08 regarding handicapped workers. My daughter worked at a grocery store that had a handicapped worker. Some other workers were making fun of him and my daughter told them "Seems strange that he supposed to be handicapped yet when he is not here, it takes TWO of you so-called "normal" people to do his job"
ReplyDeleteWisconsin = Satan worshiping commie-pinko sheep-humping cheese-eating libruls.
ReplyDeleteVirginia Voter: "...do you think there is a private sector job you can work in for twenty years and retire at full pension? I have no doubt these people love what they do, but would they be willing to put their lives on the line every day for a measley 401k match and health benefits that cost them $1000 per month? Get real."
ReplyDeleteEXCELLENT points made here. I'd also like to add that whenever you hear someone bitching about what union members make compared to what they make, tell them to quit coveting other people's wages and join/form a union of their own if they want to make a better life for themselves - and their families!
Is it the union's fault that these people won't man up/woman up and start going hardball on negotiating their time and talent? NO.
Been whistling the University of Wisconsin fight song all morning -
ReplyDeleteON WISCONSIN!
"Hard working, patriotic, and selfless union brothers and sisters: please don’t be taken in by the union bosses."
ReplyDeleteThat sentence is just comical.
Since a lot of the rill 'murika Palin tryss to keep i a perminentstate of PMS is blue color, red neck, construction, transportation, civil servants, teachers, nurses etc., I would say Sarah is a fool to throw her hat into this ring.
She can't be a part time Republican, party time Tee Peeer, part time woman of the working class all at the same time, people will begin to notice some conflicts of interest if she doesn't.
Sarah you either have to believe in the right to unionize and have collective bargaining or not.
Answer
Y
or
N
there is no other possible correct answer.
You wienied out Sarah and it will cost you supporters.
Of course the spineless Dims are doing the same thing.
Sigh.
Even if the battle in Wisconsin is ultimately lost, I have a gut feeling that something is re-awakening in this country. People are tired of just complaining, it looks like they're getting read to start taking to the streets again, en masse. Don't think the protests around the world aren't impressing on them what needs to be done and what can be done when people take to the streets. Watch how things unfold in this country over the next few years. I'm hopeful.
ReplyDeleteAnd God bless those wonderful students who joined the union protestors in Wisconsin. When you have the majority of the youth on your side, you know you are on the right side. Young people know when they're seeing BS, they know what's right. Remember, it was a child that called out the emperor was wearing no clothes.
@ 4:56 am-
ReplyDeleteOh, christ, I know. It just broke my heart.
I never thought the db Johnson would wing the election with his "hard work and perseverance" bs. I cannot believe the previously apathetic GOPers & t-baggers who came out of the woodwork to vote.
Thanks, Doyle. You blew it for Russ.
Wisconsin = Satan worshiping commie-pinko sheep-humping cheese-eating libruls.
ReplyDeleteAs a Milwaukeen, don't see many sheep. The rest of this is cool by me! Go Wisconsin state employees.
I just got back from supporting the workers in downtown Madison ... interestingly, but not surprising, the teabaggers were given their own little barricaded off area surrounded by a number of cops. My guesstimate is that the teabaggers were outnumbered 20 to 1 (if not more). Given that it is STILL a peaceful protest it's probably for the best that they were 'protected' ...
ReplyDeleteGryph, if you'd like any pics or vids in a 'boots on the ground' sort of way, just send the word (have a couple nice Palin jabs on protest signs); I won't pollute your inbox otherwise.
She does remember doesn't she that she was a government employee doesn't she? She failed at all of her government positions and walked away from the last one because she could make more money in the private sector.
ReplyDeleteBut that's OK because God did that just for her.
She does remember that, surely.
Or has she popped so many uppers that she can't form memories.
You have got to see this video; Rep. Gordon Hintz, Wisconsin State Assembly, going after his GOP counterparts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZsOKNfNkfQ

This person's dreams must be very interesting.
Normal people ever has the thought of sheep and sex enter their heads.
I encourage everyone in Wis to stay together.People should realize that union help's not only union members with wages and benefits. At my husband's plant when they got a new contract the office workers got the same-they were not in the union. Not standing together, That was why Reagan got away with firing the the airline controllers. That started all the give backs, and the downward spiral of unions.

ReplyDelete"Note to Sarah: The wages and benefits from Todd's union job that provided for your family for years were negotiated and guarded by "union bosses." Your insults to them and the rest of us shows your blatant disregard for the fabric of the labor movement, and your ignorance of the fact that unions are the only organizations in the country looking out for the best interests of working families in America, whether they belong to a union or not. I would suggest you stop commenting on things you know very little about. Unfortunately, that never seems to have stopped you before."

I simply can't understand the idiocy of the tea partiers on this issue. What do they want...a china-style workplace where corporations have absolutely no responsibility for their workers? Do they want a system where american workers can't count on their workplace being safe or being paid a fair wage!? Totally mind-boggling, but this is from brainwashed folks who, although most depend on medicare, disability, and social security, think they're not taking gov't. assistance.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Wisconsin folks have learned their lesson when it comes to voting Tea Party People into the Governorship. All threads on this blog keep being hijacked by people talking about supporting the Wisconsin protesters. Somehow, this Tea Party Governor was elected and now in charge of busting up the unions that the Democratic populace holds dear. Perhaps making one's voice heard at the polling booth could have prevented this unfortunates usurping of the highest office in the state by a person that many seem to find reprehensible.
ReplyDeleteMake sure to vote next time, people. That's my best advice.
"Wisconsin = Satan worshiping commie-pinko sheep-humping cheese-eating libruls." @9:16AM
ReplyDeleteLMAO! This has to be a joke. If not, then the little dollop of gray matter that lives in that empty noggin doesn't have the potential of primordial ooze.
I would like to know if somehow Grifter Sarah managed to keep her government retirement pension even after walking off her job early. Is there anyway to find out? I've googled to no avail.
ReplyDeleteThanks Griffin for keeping Wisconsin in your thoughts. The Saturday protest was the largest ever, today's weather sucked so everyone was inside and much smaller.
ReplyDeleteJust saw this little tidbit and wanted to share it. The WI Law Enforcement Agency, who is exempt from the union busting move by Walker, came out with a statement that they regret endorsing Walker. You can find read about it here: http://tinyurl.com/4q9xvhd
Just so everyone knows the firefighter and police unions have been out with us every day with their support. They don't like the idea of this happening, even though Walker has exempt them. We love and are thrilled with their support.
And one more thing, there was a woman posing as a "fake" Sarah and her message was "Even I know this bill is stupid." Be more than happy to pass the pix on to you.
