Joe Miller quickly denies any ties to Alaska militia terrorist.

Courtesy of Alaska Dispatch:

Miller Responds to False Allegations

Former US Senate Candidate Joe Miller is disputing the media's characterization of him as a “close friend and associate” of arrested Alaska Militia leader Schaeffer Cox. Mr. Miller became acquainted with Mr. Cox through Republican Party politics, not unlike many other State leaders. Mr. Cox offered no tangible support to Miller's run for the US Senate; he was neither a campaign contributor nor volunteer; and, save for public forums during the campaign, has had no contact with Mr. Miller subsequent to his run-ins with the law early last year. To the contrary, Cox himself was critical of Miller during last fall's campaign. ("Schaeffer Cox of Fairbanks, commander of the Alaska Peacemakers Militia, tells Salon he isn't a Miller supporter.") Mr. Miller has never had any connection to any of Mr. Cox's militia organizations, and in no way condones any lawless behavior.

Says the man who hired his own personal militia members to rough up the local media, whose buddies at Drop Zone provided supplies to local militia, and who illegally used North Star Borough computers, and then lied about it,  to try and hijack an online poll.

No Joe Miller can deny until he his blue in the face, but we know that he has deep ties with the militias in Alaska, and that they have been fomenting this kind of violence against the government for decades. Only now that somebody has actually followed through on that rhetoric does Miller decide to run away from them as quickly as his spindly legs can carry him.

Too late Miller. The stench of your association with these dangerous Rambo wannabes covers you from your vaguely bearded face all the way down to your Khaki colored GI Joe Underoos.

  1. Another thing he has in common with SisterSarah: online poll activity

  2. Excellent post. Love the underoos comment. Run Miller run! You can run but you cannot hide (your past)!

His quick distancing was pretty predictable. Since Todd does not know how to speak for himself, I expect we will soon hear from his beloved, Sarah, who will lambast anyone who might even suggest any ties to any Alaskan militia terrorists. Of course, we already know of Todd's involvement - which they both try to ignore. Also the video of Sarah speaking at the opening of one of their sessions. Aren't videos great?

    Doh! Damn those incriminating photos!

Miller is such a feckless clod. It's like he's living in the 14th century and doesn't realize that there are things like the internet, pictures, and even newspapers that can all be easily accessed to debunk his bullshit. The picture alone pretty much deflates his claims. He really is an ignoratamus.

He's arrogant AND stupid. Sounds like your run of the mill GOP politician to me.

Just a small off topic note...I was driving down the highway in Juneau yesterday and was passed by a red Prius with a bumper sticker that proclaimed "Gingrich/Palin 2012". At first I laughed and couldn't believe it was anything but a joke, and then I thought what if it wasn't? That Prius must be so embarrassed!

Joe Miller, Shaeffer Cox and Coleman Barney were among the men Pimping Todd sent to Shailey for a happy ending Massage... They all are friends. Todd and Joe have connection to these guys.

Joe has hidden, distorted, and lied about lots of uncomfortable facts in his past, so this is not surprising.

    Squirm, Joe, squirm.

Every time I see Joe I remember how Todd and sarah campaigned for this guy against Lisa.

Then I chuckle thinking about Lisa beating their asses.

Lisa just might be the one kicking that palin ass all the way to AZ.

"...that Prius must be so embarrassed!" So now I'm wondering if those Priuses that were involved in crashes-and subsequently triggered a recall-were sporting embarrassing bumper stickers. Maybe the cars were trying to commit suicide.

By properly crediting in this story, the information/pic was extracted from Alaska Dispatch, I went to their blog to see if any other info may be available to read/see.

With just a quick glance at the Dispatch site, I was blown away to see another story there that leaves me shaking my head as in 'What the hell is up with AK and stupidity'. Sorry Gryph, but it's an ongoing thing in AK in many pockets. The story I refer to is "Alaska Bar Association taps John Yoo as keynote". WTF???

    http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/alaska-bar-association-taps-john-yoo-keynote

Yoo is: the "controversial Berkeley law professor John Yoo who wrote the memos justifying U.S. torture of prisoners during the Bush administration". Yoo, Miller, Cox, Drop Zone (the list too long for here) - they could all be BFF's. They're cut from the same cloth.

Yoo "has has been very controversial, but he's willing to talk about it," Weiner said. "And that's pretty neat."

Really. These are 'Lawyers' and they seriously believe he will speak the truth about them. IMO it looks like the years ahead in the AK justice system will be as corrupt as ever if these kinds of statements and choices are any indication. Think even further beyond that - these may be some of the potential choices for Court judges. I've never been known as someone that 'thinks inside the box' and could see the Rethugs & Baggers pushing for choices like this.

Hazardous clean-up on Aisles 1, 2, 3 - Oh hell - the whole friggin' place!!

Excellent job of calling Miller out on this Gryphen. One thing that is obvious is that they (Miller and Sarah)have no "integrity" not one ounce of it. Alaskans should thank their lucky stars he's not their senator.

  16. No one gets that close to a political candidate, in this day and age, without knowing him pretty damn well.

Can the button on Cox be read? Looks like it says Miller...do people wear a candidates buttons if they are not huge supporters??

This photo should be kept in a safe place in case Miller makes any further attempts at political office.

So, to boil down his response: "Other Republicans rub elbows with the Alaska Militia, too, and I haven't talked to him since he was under investigation."

I think Francis -- none dare call him Schaeffer -- Cox was marching behind the Miller Hummer this past summer in Fairbanks. You can see some of his gang in there.

Joe Miller needs to stop the selective memory and be honest, for once.

I think Francis -- none dare call him Schaeffer -- Cox and some of his gang are in the Follow That Hummer Parade this past summer in Fairbanks.

I think I can see Coleman Barney in there. Surely the FBI will be interested in talking to those heavily armed yahoos.

In the Bronx or Oakland or Watts that would have been construed as gang behavior.

    O/T Sunday Funnies

Many of you will remember Media Insider who has commented on this blog and created much controversy over the validity of her comments. Awhile back she stomped off in a huff and started her own blog - where she could be as "inventive" as she wanted.

So yesterday she posted this topic:

Guest Interview: Model/Actor Talks About the Casting Couch

    http://mediainsidergossip.wordpress.com/2011/03/12/guest-interview-modelactor-talks-about-the-casting-couch/

I recommend you read the post just to see how innocuous it really is, then read the comments. Two comments down, she has a total meltdown and it is hilarious. You think Sarah is thin skinned? She could take lessons from Media!

All of you who thought she was out of left field will feel totally justified. Enjoy.

  21. Please remind me: Were any of the militia people guarding Joe Miller, those guys who roughed up and handcuffed Tony Hapfinger, named at the time? Are they connected directly to Cox? Is Drop Zone connected to Cox? What exactly are the connections you can draw between the Palins and Cox? thanks so much...

Well now, that's just simply not true, is it. Sorry, Joe. Documentable association and support. Evidentiary, ya know?

I wonder what personal emails Joe dumped off of the Northstar Borough government computer? Hmmm?

Joe, how's that disbarment-thingy workin' out for ya? Haven't heard much there. Is it time to visit that?
What about Todd's hooker? Should you maybe make a statement about that as well? Are you gonna deny that. Or just let it stand.

O/T, but something very weird is going on with Media Insider’s blog.

She starts the blog a few months ago called Media Insider GOSSIP with a tag line that reads “The dirty, ugly truth about the media and media stars” and dishes a lot of behind the scenes Hollywood/media/Palin gossip. So from the outset, this clearly wasn’t intended to be heavy prize winning journalism. Seemed more like a fun side activity. And it was great fun and we thank her for that.

But once in a while someone would (often rather mildly) disagree with her and out of left field she’ll totally slam them with very strong language and rant about how ungrateful they were blah, blah. Other times, someone might disagree and no rant. Totally unpredictable, even a little Jekyll & Hyde. I even seem to remember her first posts at PG and IM and how irate she’d get at anybody that had any hesitation about her claims, like they were disrespecting her somehow.

So recently she has been dropping big hints about a juicy “casting couch” gossip post with some people she knows, which she did publish the other day. Turns out it was a guy (a friend of hers) who sounds like he had actually managed to avoid falling prey to that situation (although faced with it) and while interesting, the blog post was pretty tame. Not really “juicy” like she had been seriously hinting at. Someone rather mildly pointed that out and asked if there were other examples she could maybe write about. She absolutely had a fit (ostensible because this guy was her friend & how ungrateful we were, blah, blah) and now has announced she is suspending the blog next Thursday.

Also a big rant about how she will not beg for money like other blogs and how she had all these big plans to offer a paid subscription service to go more in depth (and had invested money in some technology/site hosting services, etc. already), but now WE’VE screwed all that up because WE’RE so ungrateful and cheap and spoiled. Cheap because she has now determined (based on what evidence isn’t clear) that we absolutely won’t pay $9.99 per month for a subscription.

And how her blog wasn’t supposed to be simple gossip, but for some higher purpose. And she was going to risk openly identifying herself and take a big risk with her official career to be giving out insider scoops and how this blog takes up 20 hours per week and takes away from time for paid work etc. etc.. Like all those choices she made were OUR fault and she ASSUMES we would never support a paid model. Serious multi-part rant over the past couple of days!

This all feels like she realized that it was taking up too much time and she really just needs to focus on paid work. No big deal. She needs to do what she needs to do. And most people would wish her well.

So why the huge rant and finger pointing at the readers & blaming them and not soliciting any ideas about how to maybe keep it going without such a time commitment? Sounds to me like she’s just looking for a fight as a convenient excuse to end the blog (like people pick fights, sometimes unconsciously, to justify ending a relationship).

And wow, the flying off the handle -- like an emotionally abusive person trying to blame everybody else and somebody you have to walk around eggshells around since you don’t know when they will erupt. Or she just gets a kick out of manipulating people. Of course, now everybody is begging her to keep the blog up and groveling.

Too bad. It was a great blog.

She posted about a necklace which a friend of hers made and "someone" (whom we all know very well...and for the newcomers here...NO it's not Gryphen) used that as a starting point to identify her.

She got a vague threat a few days ago...said she was going to delete her blog in a few days. Then today she got a more detailed and menacing email. And bingo bango...her blog went down quicker than a teenage Palin on a mattress.

to 12:32, while she probably shouldn't have handled it that way I can understand now, given that that person just said "well that was lame" and given that I bet she had to beg her friend (whom I bet certain "people" know now that he was talking or "snitching" to her) to break his confidentiality for the whole world to see. And yes to 3:34, she said so yesterday (Sat) that some various "men in black" types were trying to make it be known that they were "watching and alert" to her game. Well if that little site was enough to have certain eyes on her then I don't blame her. But really "who else" was trying her, besides the folks "in the know" a certain lady that we don't love at all... Before this gets out of hand - Media Insider here. I decided to delete my blog because it wasn't working out for me and I realized that most of my readers probably wouldn't be comfortable moving to a paid version, which would be the only way I could really support the new site with all I wanted to do with it. (I really had lined up a lot of insider type interviews with people; then when a commenter bitched about my newest insider interview being too "tame," I realized it wasn't going to be worth risking them being exposed if people didn't think the interviews were good enough.) I had a great time doing the blog and I wish everybody involved who stopped by the very best. I'm just moving on to other things. And yeah, there has been a little "noise" on the outer edges of my life since starting the blog, but I had actually planned to face that full in the face and out MYSELF as I launched the subscription version. I just ended up realizing that the cost/benefits ratio wasn't going to work out for me as far as the work that was going to be involved, and I also realized I would probably be "disappointing" my loyal readers if I tried to move to a paid model, so I decided to let it all go and release it to the universe. I don't care if people know who I am or not. So no conspiracies here, folks. I apologise if I have angered people and I wish everybody the best - including Gryphen who is king of the blog world in my book! MI
