Justice Arizona style! The toughest Sheriff in America, launches attack on dangerous chickens using a tank, and his secret weapon, Steven Seagal! Arpaio heard to say, "As God is my witness I thought chickens could fight!"

From KPHO in Phoeniz:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio rolled out the tanks to take down a man suspected of cockfighting.

West Valley residents in the neighborhood are crying foul after armored vehicles, including a tank, rolled into their neighborhood to make the bust.

Neighbor Debra Ross was so worried she called 911 and went outside where a nearby home had its windows blown out, was crawling with dozens of SWAT members in full gear, armored vehicles and a bomb robot.

“When the tank came in and pushed the wall over and you see what's in there, and all it is, is a bunch of chickens,” Ross said.

Yes but what this "neighbor," obviously a Muslim loving, anti-American Democrat, failed to mention was that these fowl creatures had in their  possession oval shaped potential projectiles that could have put Arizona law enforcement at risk. You know it only takes one small piece of eggshell to take an eye out!

So clearly Arpaio realized that to protect his officers he needed to bring in the "big guns."

Steven Seagal.....in a tank.

(Llovera’s attorney Robert) Campus said he believes the entire scene was basically a stage, to help actor Steven Seagal’s TV show, “Lawman.”

Seagal was riding in the tank.

Thousands of dollars in damages were made to the property and 115 birds were euthanized on the spot.

Okay so one hundred and fifteen chickens were slaughtered.  But what did they expect when they were "palling around" with a criminal like Mr. Llovera?  By the way what criminal activity was this guy involved with again?

Llovera was convicted of a misdemeanor last year of attending a cockfight and has no history of owning weapons.

I'm sorry, what?

So let me get this straight.  The guy attends one cockfight and they send in Steven "Above the Law" Seagal  to take him down? In a chicken crushing tank no less?

What do they do when you jaywalk?  Stand you in front of a firing squad?

Holy crap, no wonder Sarah Palin is drawn to this place like a moth to a flame.  These are her people!

Just in case reading this was not amazing enough, there is also this video.

(P.S. For those people who are confused by my headline, take a little trip to WKRP in Cincinnati for clarification.)

The Phoenix New Times is investigating whether Seagal has the credentials to work with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department, and so far, it seems that the answer is NO. The sheriff in the LA county where he was doing his reality teevee series reported that Seagal is no longer employed there because when the department wanted to investigate the sex trafficking/assault charges one of his former employees filed against him, he resigned. Seagal told people in AZ that he was still associated with the sheriff's department in LA, but he's not. There's a possibility that he is breaking the law by participating in these raids with Arpaio.

Gryphen, give Arpaio a break. I mean, I heard that Llovera was REALLY deep into cockfighting. It is just fortunate that he didn't unleash his big, mean old cock against Arpaio and his men! Think of the slaughter which could have ensued!

I can see the headlines now:
"Arizona's Biggest Prick Slain By Cock"

Thank God that Arpaio is still alive and well.

Lawsuit coming.I want to see PETA get involved in this slaughter of innocent chickens too.

OT.....this is the kind of guy Sean Parnell thinks should be helping choose the judges in Alaska.

'Sorry, but anyone that would behave like Arpaio, abusing the powerless as he does, abusing his authority to enforce the law as he does, obviously has something lacking. And I don't think most here doubt what exactly is "lacking".

    Pathetic "little" man

  7. You don't use chickens for cockfighting, you use cocks.

There was no reason to kill the chickens. I hope the guy sues for restitution because that many chickens was probably that guy's livelihood. You can't just buy new chickens because you can only get chicks and it takes months before they'll lay. That means this guy is essential "out of work" until the chickens are old enough to start laying. And being most likely self-employed, I'm not sure he'll qualify for unemployment.

Not to mention the damages to the house.

Oh, I would so have a lawyer sue Arpaio's ass off.

  8. PETA won't get involved with this.

PETA believes that parents that feed their children eggs are child abusers.

PETA believes the only good domestic animal is a dead domestic animal. They just want to be the ones to personal push the plunger when they're euthanized.

    To PETA-
    Ethical Treatment = euthanasia

  15. I just don't understand why the people of Maricopa county keep electing this man. When we lived there, I was afraid of him even though I never had any interactions with him. He is all about him, and his "image". I don't think he is mentally all there.

arpaio is such an idiot. i am originally from nj, but now live in northern new england. i had to put up with my homestate being called the armpit of america for years. i vote az gets that crown now. it should at least win psychiatric ward of america.

Move over AK!! Appears AK is not the only state now that looks to hide secrets in emails and make a profit fortune from it!

Mississippi just stepped into the arena. $53,460 but closer to $200,000 to produce under FOIA emails on Gov Racist Barbour. That it would take 30 minutes to retrieve emails for each day of his term adding up to 832 hours and that's only for IT. There would be the lawyers review too on top. Just think of all the Sharpie costs!!

    http://motherjones.com/politics/2011/03/haley-barbour-emails-mississippi?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+motherjones%2Fmain+%28MotherJones.com+Main+Article+Feed%29&utm_content=Twitter#

The article makes reference to the comparison for their FOIA request of the Palin emails which Corn notes is to be released at the end of May. (My reading elsewhere sets out May 31st which would be 986 days from the FOIA request date).

Love me some David Corn of MotherJones as he keeps digging in the shit pile of these morons and keeps exposing and writing and talking about them!!!!

I am a lifelong Arizonan and thought myself quite cynical, but I must admit that this just astonishes and disgusts me. Can we request the UN to establish a no-fly zone over Maricopa County, so that we can get rid of this guy? PS to all IM readers - please don't suppose everyone in Arizona is this crazy or a supporter of Arpaio. Pray for us, please.

And wasn't this atypical fuking t'bagger retard getting investigated for "misappropriated" funding ? Hopefully he is and he knows he's going down and this is his last hurrah. But then maybe his butt buddy Segal will take asshole arpaio's place ? ...man , i used to really like going down to AZ, guess i'll have to change up and hit New Mexico instead for my desert southwest fix, AZ's gone T-totally insane...

Somewhat like Arpaio's career after this little stunt....I hope he gets sued by more then the home owner. I suggest every person denied medical treatment by the State of Arizona sue for the miss use of their taxes....and the neighbors.

    http://tinyurl.com/4euuqso

Appears AZ is operating the Sheriff's office under a 'confidential' contract with Segal's reality show. A clause being the show can review and offer suggestions - Really?? The show gets full open access - Wonder how many citizen's have had their private information disclosed to the Show too as we all know Arpaio does not operate legally. The 'confidential' sounds just like a Palin contract we all have come to know.

Gatto's bill would not ban Sharia law from Alaska courts but would ALLOW the courts to follow RELIGIOUS law over the LAWS of the USA and that State of Alaska.

OMG, here in Kansas we have as our Sec.of State the infamous Kobach - he of the AZ immigration law nastiness. He wants to turn Kansas into an AZ-like compound. With Gov. Opus Dei Brownback, it could happen - plus, remember we also have "shoot 'em (immigrants) from the helicopters State Rep. Peck)

I fully expect tanks to roll in Kansas by this time next year considering this seemingly contagious freak-out mentality.

Anyone know if Canada will grant political asylum to mild-mannered Americans afraid of their own politicians?

I just ask that you return the favor for us in Kansas. The GOP is trying to turn us into AZ-crazy.

We all need to be ready to get out the vote of sane people come 2012 or we might end up in a society like the one in the novel The Hand Maiden. Just saying.

I have to confess I watched Steven Segal in lawman .. I had to look up the word they used to describe what kind of deputy he was, he's not a paid officer. I'm getting old ,but I can remember there was some domestic violence when married to Kelly LaBrock, and other things. Which would lead one to think that would keep one from law enforcement. Blends right in with all the right hypocrites. Great family values despite lots of marriages, children affairs all becomes mute and they are the best. How dare anyone question them.
