Leftover Palin lapdog Sean Parnell agrees to "allow" Alaskans to benefit from the Obama health care law, until he can rip the benefits away from us at a later date.

From the ADN:

After allowing the application deadline to pass for $1 million in federal health care assistance, Gov. Sean Parnell said Thursday he will begin implementing the new health care law after all, now that a Florida judge has told the states to do just that.

That same lower court Judge, U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson of Pensacola, Fla., had earlier found part of the new federal health care law unconstitutional, a decision cited by Parnell as justification for walking away from the federal money to assist the uninsured get health insurance. But Vinson stayed his order Thursday to give the Obama Administration time to appeal, leaving Parnell no choice but to begin putting the law into effect in Alaska.

"We will begin moving forward with state funds, rather than federal funds," said Parnell's spokeswoman, Sharon Leighow.

Parnell is talking tough so that he can get high fives from the teabaggers who scare him spitless in this town, but everybody knows that Parnell is completely full of mooseshit.

In fact if he were really capable of challenging the health care law there is a provision for doing so written right into the law.

Earlier this week, Parnell said he has moved to implement some aspects of the federal health care law into health insurance plans for state employees, including the requirement that children up to age 26 be allowed to stay on their parents' insurance policy.

But he wouldn't say whether he would pursue waivers for Alaska to design its own health care program, an option that opened up to all states earlier this week. On Monday, President Barack Obama told Parnell and other governors at their winter meeting in Washington that he supports a move to let states use waivers to design their own health care systems starting in 2014. Those state systems must meet the goals of the president's health care law, which previously wouldn't allow state waivers until 2017.

Parnell on Monday said he wouldn't apply for waivers because that would be an acknowledgment that the "the law is currently in place."

Please, Parnell has no where near the amount of intelligence it would take to design a health care program for Alaskans.  Hell, the guy has a cabinet full of Palin administration leftovers to tell him how to tie his shoes and wipe his own ass.  If it was not for people behind the scenes pulling his strings he would probably just stand there looking dazed and confused most of the time.

Come to think of it.

I am not sure that is a change.

That any of us would even notice.

Sean Parnell, the only reason you even know his name is because Sarah Palin quit her job.

Try and put THAT on a resume.

This is just one of hundreds of examples of Republicans SAYING they are against federal funding of something, then taking the credit for having supplied the money for whatever it was.

And it isn't exactly difficult to catch them at this...its reported in the local newspapers (which no one seems to READ anymore)...and on television (although, probably NOT ever on Fox channel).

So, go on, America: prove to the half of us who ARE intelligent enough to see what a circus the Republicans are putting on, that the saying "a sucker born every minute" is still sadly true--by ignoring facts like these, and continuing to wave your "Don't Tread on Me" signs, oblivious to what is really going on.

    Gryphen,

OT Check out the link below. Laid off and fired Indians, grab boss and burn him at the stake! Really, they also clubbed another one to death.

I guess we "civilized" 'Mericans would never do something like that (even when highly tempted!)

I think Governor Parnell just gave his Democratic opponent in the next election a gift: turning down that million dollars of federal money.

Nice of him to let Alaskans use their own tax dollars. Develops character, right?

He is a fool and a nimcompoop - a truly sad combination because it combines the worst traits of both. He even looks the part.

And he and Palin flack lyin' Leighow said now the state would use $1,000,000 in state funds because Parnell deliberately missed the second (extended) deadline for federal funds.

Think what $1,000,000 could have done to help some Alaskans in need.

If Parnell truly believes in personal responsibility, he should fork up his own money, not use money from patriotic hard working Alaskans.

    ---------------

They're either a fighting fist, or a pointed pistol.

Sarah Palin Defends Husband: Prostitution Ring Accusations Were "Big Lie"

    January 27, 2011 1:57 PM

On the radio show this morning, Palin added, “heck all they needed to do was ask me or ask Todd himself, ‘hey Todd, you been hanging out with hookers in Anchorage?’ And he’d tell the truth and obviously it was a big lie.”

Calling Kent Jones (Rachael Maddow show laff guy)!

Calling out also too for some answers.

‘hey Todd, you been hanging out with hookers in Anchorage?’ What about hanging out with hookers in Spenard? Or anywhere else? Some more questions along these lines are waiting as followup after the first questions have been answered.

Time to do some online shopping right now.

Just remembered: Paging also too Ken Morris to the online garage sale. Buy the right stuff and maybe the Palins will make some time for you in that busy schedule of theirs.

Parnell needs to be recalled as does the Wisconsin idiot!

I can hardly stomach either one of them. They do not operate 'for' the people as they swore to do.
