I have no idea WHEN Trig's actual birthday is for sure, nor do I know exactly WHO his real mother is for sure, but I do know that I am very glad that he was born, and that he appears to be a healthy and relatively happy little boy. And I am pretty sure I speak for the majority of Americans when I say that. And yes, that includes the liberal Americans.
My favorite current fantasy is that someday, when Sarah Palin says to Trig that the Liberals "wanted me to abort you," that he will turn to her and say, "Listen Lady-who-claims-to-be-my-mommy, I may have Down syndrome, but I am not a fucking retard! Nobody wanted me aborted, and I would really like it if you would stop using me as a political prop!"
And my other fantasy is right at that moment somebody snaps a picture of Sarah Palin's face so that I can use it on my blog. Wouldn't that be the best picture ever?

Trig's 3rd birth has come and gone ending the largest, most explosive learning period in his life Zero to 3 and unfortunately his millionaire parents never had him in an intensive Zero to 3 developmental program. I also agree with the disgust on reports that the millionaire grifters haven't had him going to special classes. My husband had a younger brother who was was a Down's child and he started going to classes 5 days a week from the time he was 6 weeks old. When I first met him at age 5 I was captivated by what a joy he was to all who were around him. He grew up to be a responsible, loving adult who lived every day to the fullest. He is gone now and we miss him dearly.

Sarah doesn't have a more recent picture with him because now he's a big STRONG three and a half year old...who is a killer judge of character. He gravitates toward those who truly care for and enjoy him.

And sadly, Gryphen...he may not even get cake. Sarah is too lazy to follow the required schedule of occupational therapy for Trig (which is SUPPOSED to be twice per week- but Sarah acts like she never heard that and when questioned, blithely shrills about how "we do his therapy with him!") he still eats mostly babyfood and still gets a bottle.
Trig may have been born developmentally delayed, but it is unequivocally Sarah Palin who has willfully, purposefully, CRIPPLED that child.
Trig, I know it's not your birthday...but I hope you have a happy day anyway. Maybe one day you really will see this and you'll know that even though your "mother" kept you away from people, without your glasses and hearing aid (so you can never learn to talk and tell her secrets) there were people out there rooting for you and praying for you.
Sarah is super sensitive about how Trig HATES her now that he's realized she is just a rarely present user...so I expect she will be parading Trig around in a public fashion any minute now. Mark my words...he'll be in a stroller or backpack to emphasize his "baby-ness" and make him seem smaller...and IF Sarah is holding him, he'll be benadryl'd to the hilt...he literally won't tolerate her any other way.

However...and this seems horrible now....for many many years, his condition was called "mongoloid". It was not called "Down" until he was long grown(he would be in his late 50's now). ReplyDeleteIf it was Down's complex, Down's disease, or Down's anything that doesn't begin with an "s" the apostrophe-"s" denoting association, discovery, characterization, etc, would stay. But some people have a problem pronouncing a word ending with "s" followed by a word beginning with "s".

ReplyDeleteAmidst the zillion comments on the business insider coverage of B.Schar's article...there is one comment which says that Britta's facebook once had a photo of Britta in a hospital bed/gown with Sarah by the bed holding a baby, and it was captioned "grandmother and child".
Is this just a wild red herring? The reason I even bring it up is because if it WERE a red herring...I would think it might've been promoted more than just one post among six hundred plus.
Has Britta ever really been looked at as a serious component of this story? I have heard that she has been Trig's primary caregiver at least twice...(meaning I've heard it twice, not that she has been his caregiver twice)
Britta was in Europe during Trig's "baking process". However, I have no idea if she and Track have a child. They are practically engaged and have been dating forever.

ReplyDeleteWhen Gov. Palin was announced as the GOP VP candidate on that Friday, I was curious about her and dug around on the internet. There were already suggestions that Bristol was the mother of Trig, BUT there were pictures on her older son's girlfriend's Facebook page showing the girlfriend in a hospital gown and the Gov. in a track suit holding the baby. The picture was labeled "Grandmother holding baby." The baby was Down's, so it was Trig. The next Monday it was announced that Bristol was pregnant. All the pictures I saw on Facebook were no longer available.
I think Track is the father of Trig and his girlfriend is the mother. Sarah and Todd convinced the young couple to let them raise the baby as their own. Remember, they tried to convince Bristol and Levi to do the same thing with their baby.
I have been in maternal-child nursing for 31 years, and I agree that there is no way that she would be allowed to fly that late in a pregnancy, especially if her membrane had already ruptured. It was "her" 5th baby, so she would have given birth pretty quickly.
Track went off to war, and I don't know what happened to the girlfriend.
Off subject..are there any pictures of Bristol full term pregnant?

That's just the family image that I want to follow, having a teen aged son get in trouble for vandalism, ship him out of state for a little while and then have him serve a while in the army, instead of facing any consequences for his actions.
ReplyDeleteI want to have an unmarried daughter give birth while she is still in high school. Then, I want her to tell other kids not to make the mistake that she made, a wonderful message for her kid to read in a few years. I want her to treasure celebrity over responsibility and motherhood.
I want another kid to get in trouble for vandalism so I can cover up for her. I promise to keep my kids out of school, because, well, there is no good reason to keep kids out of school. They might learn something and actually question what's going on with their family.
There is a little boy who needs to wear hearing aids and glasses. Whenever we see a picture of him without these items, we know that he isn't seeing and hearing what is around him, and like his sister who was kept out of school, he will have less exposure to the world, and as a result, he won't be able to cope. He needs therapy on a regular schedule, and it is doubtful that he will really be a fisherman. He will be luck to function at a basic level in society.
So, there is nothing about that family picture that represents strength. The parents are not offering good guidance and direction. And, there is nothing about that family that seems "right." None of us want to see our personal life splashed across the tabloid pages, and I don't see the lawsuits against them for printing lies.

Sarah herself has affirmed on the record, in public, Trig's need for glasses and hearing aids. While Todd valiantly tried for several months to keep Trig outfitted with the hearing aid in particular, due to Sarah's perseverance AGAINST him wearing these therapy devices he gave up.
Trig is loving, affable, good natured, and sweet sweet sweet...to those he KNOWS love him. But he is indifferent to what he doesn't know, and as with Sarah....he is forty pounds of back-arching, kicking, screaming PISSED when interaction with someone he doesn't like is forced upon him.
As for the people defending Sarah and the Palins...I have strong suspicions that it's Sarah herself here to defend her own "honor". And if WHOMEVER it is telling LIES about sweet, lovely Trig keeps doing so, details about some of the knock down, drag out fights you, I mean "Sarah" have had with Todd...IN FRONT OF Trig and sometimes Piper...might find their way to light.
In fact, the "well kept" secret of which TWO of your children have been caught buying or selling MTF in undercover ops...might cease to be quite so well kept.
Sarah, you may think every time you scream "DON'T YOU DARE BREATHE A WORD OF THIS" to your older children...they take it to heart. But trust me, they don't. Many posters wrote of serious and negligent parenting of the Palin's. Chilling information. I am inclined to believe it for Palin does not ever speak about the needs of her special needs child . My nephew was born with a hole in his heart and hearing problems.
My sister's doctor came in to her hospital room the morning after his birth and informed her that her baby was a MONGOLOID and made suggestions about "his well being would be better served in an institution for babies like this".
He made it sound mandatory. "This is what is done in cases like this..."
Then the doctor simply walked out and left my sister there alone.
My sis called me from her hospital bed shrieking and crying. She was absolutely hysterical, bewildered, in shock. She'd frantically started dialing family for help, believing her baby was being taken away and institutionalized.
Her husband and my Mom were on their way back to the hospital and could not be reached yet, so I was who she reached first.
I calmed her down (tho I was sick inside at hearing this news about a somehow "deformed" baby)and knowing nothing about "Mongoloids" myself (at THAT time), I told her to start thinking about whether she could give up her child, or if she'd be willing to put in the kind of work and effort it takes to raise such a child. How would this affect raising her 5 year old?
And I assured her that she did NOT HAVE TO GIVE HIM UP to an institution and that no one could take him from her. It was up to her.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, my sister was a stay at home mom back then with just a high school education.
Obviously, she and my wonderful brother-in-law kept my precious nephew at home and immediately my sister began to learn all she could about this mysterious extra chromosone that had caused her child to be born retarded.
We all learned that a kid with Down Syndrome is a particular delight. Happy, sunny, cheerful, full of good humor, giggles, pranks and especially with trust and love.
It seems to be a uniform personality that is found in all people born with this particular condition. When I say that this child was the light of our family, it's not just homespun or sentimental blather. It's true. These kids are just so happy, so full of laughter...
My sis and bro found grass roots projects and ideas with other parents of Down Syndrome kids and they all worked with the kids and their therapy together.
Our whole family worked at teaching him new signs, new words, how to do new things...repetition is key.
My sis and bro-in-law got him ear surgery as soon as medically permissible. I remember how he gasped and looked wildly around every time he heard new things like footsteps in the hospital hallway outside his room.
We would laugh and jump up and show him what these new sounds were... He enjoyed it immensely.
Before that point, my nephew's hearing was good enough for him to hear and answer most questions and to speak, he'd learned some sign language, but he NEEDED surgery or a hearing aid to hear properly.
Btw, back then a hearing aid was not an option for him. Not "deaf enough" and plus, ya know...'just another retarded kid'.
Programs and aid for handicapped were not as good as they are now, obviously...
And my sister could not afford such a thing then. Thank god, her husband had good medical insurance several years later for the hearing surgery.
My sister eventually became president of her tri-state area of the Down Syndrome association and also earned a dual teaching degree in Special Education and Elementary Education.
She has had her Master's degree for about 15 years and is finally working on earning her PHD.
All of that stemmed from her determined endeavor to learn everything possible about her precious child's condition, needs, abilities and potential.
To this day she believes she'd have never even gone to college were it not for trying to learn what she could about her special needs baby...

ReplyDeleteSo, now I compare my sister with Sarah Fucking Palin and the way Sarah treats HER child with Down Syndrome.
I've seen how Sarah haphazardly hoists her kid and carries him around like an unaware sack of potatos.
I see Sarah's boy photographed in 40 degree weather barefoot, no coat, no hearing aid, no eye glasses...while Sarah is wearing HER eye glasses, HER coat, HER socks and shoes.
That poor child is completely dependent on SARAH'S care for such things, much more than any so called 'normal' kid and during Sarah's entire book tour, he did not get it.
Not even ONE time was that poor boy presented in proper attire for the weather or for his needs as a hearing and eyesight impaired child.
In Sarah's crap faux-reality show, where were Trig's hearing aid and glasses?
Where is Trig's speech therapist? Children with Down syndrome have larger than normal tongues, making normal speech difficult. Speech therapy is necessary and certainly available!
It makes me want to spit on Mrs. Todd Palin. She is NOT a fit parent for ANY kid, let alone one with special needs. Rotten bitch.
I apologize for the length of this missive and I doubt that most Immoral Minority regs will read it all the way through. (I probably wouldn't myself)
But I am betting that the PALIN camp will devour it, as they do with all negativity about themselves and that is the point of this.
So once again...Sarah, you unfit mother. You SUCK at parenting and you've already ruined your 3 eldest kids.
Shouldn't you RELOAD and focus on a new TARGET; raising the final two the right way?
