Hundreds of pro-union protestors surround small group of Sarah Palin supporting Teabaggers in Wisconsin. Welcome to the Revolution. Update!

From CBS News:

Hundreds of pro-union labor supporters are surrounding smaller groups of conservative Tea Party members attending a rally featuring former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Speaking at the tax day rally outside the Wisconsin Capitol, Palin called the crowd in Madison courageous for having stood up to "death threats and thug tactics" of those who opposed Gov. Scott Walker's collective bargaining bill.

"You held your ground, your governor did the right thing, and you won," she said.

Referring to herself as a former union member and the wife of a union member, Palin said, "He's not trying to hurt union members. Hey, folks, he's trying to save your jobs and your pensions!"

(By taking away their ability to use collective bargaining?  How in the hell does THAT help save jobs and pensions? Fucking idiot!)

She said union leaders don't care if their members are laid off, in order to protect their own power.

She also criticized President Obama for his budget plans, including proposals to invest in "really fast trains and solar shingles."

(Yes how dare our President work to rebuild America's infrastructure or move our country away from its dependence on poisonous fossil fuels. How un-American is that?)

Prior to her appearance, labor supporters still smarting from the passage of Walker's polarizing bill eliminating most public employees' collective bargaining rights drowned out Palin's supporters, shouting, "Hey, hey, ho, ho, Scott Walker's got to go."

James T. Harris, the Tea Party event's master of ceremonies, said that the rally is meant to drive home a message.

"We are Americans, we love this country and we do not want to see if spent into oblivion," he said.
The rally is sponsored by Americans for Prosperity, a conservative front group.

The only message these idiots are "driving home" is the message that the Koch Brothers can buy people to pose as "patriots," and use them to help steal the rights that the unions have fought so hard to gain for the working people in this country.

And Palin has also revealed her true face for all the world  to see.  That of a corporate whore ready to sell her image, and the support of her followers, to the highest bidder. NOT that of a politician for the common folk, who truly understands what is in the best interests of middle class Americans.

Thankfully we are seeing those REAL Americans standing up for their rights and showing these false patriots and their corporate masters what integrity and courage really look like.

Update: Oh God this speech was MUCH worse than I heard it was.  Holy crap!

High pitched and screechy,  I think only dogs and dolphins were able to make out everything she said.

The GOP, President Obama, the Unions, did she fail to insult ANYBODY?

But damn do I like to hear the people of Wisconsin boo her. THAT is music to my ears.

She denied via Tammy Bruce she was being paid for the appearance. Perhaps she didn't get a speaking fee, but I'm betting her expenses were covered. That's the question she should be asked "Who paid your way here?"

"Thug tactics" my behind. When a comedian posed as one of the Koch brothers and had a chat with Scott Walker, Walker confessed he had considered a number of very dirty tricks to discredit the union's peaceful protest.

Sarah doesn't understand that when union members are laid off the "leaders" care very much. Frequently, they are targeted in the layoffs, and if they do survive they are left with greatly reduced dues to fight day-to-day atrocities by the company. So she is just talking off the top of her flippin' bumpit.

You're right sir. It is pretty clear that she is now and really never has been anything but a corporate shill.

    Shrill shill! Hmmph. Like that.

The TP host of the rally in Wisconsin said the rally was to drive home a message. I guess he was successful.
Here is what Teamster Nation reported on the event. TN is one of the union go-to for most locals across the nation for information and attitude on what is happening.

I quote: Never a dull moment in Wisconsin politics these days. One senator is challenging petitions for recall, SLOBS are rallying to recall another, and Sarah Palin is making up shit in Madison in front of the Koch brothers' little army.

So much for listening to the "will of the people." How come the "will of the people" can ONLY be determined by the teabaggers? Statistically, they represent an insignificant portion of our country. Who gives a fuck what these toothless diaper clad incontinent racist asshats think? Listen to but a few seconds of their moronic rants and it becomes abundantly clear that they are deluded simpletons one and all.

Sarah darling, the people of Wisconsin have spoken and what they said was: "Fuck Off!"

Sadly the Tea Partiers Patriots don't realize they're actually attempting to usher in fascism to this country. The fact these clowns have hijacked the word Patriots to promote their misguided vision for American makes me sick and diminishes the actions of true Patriots.

The country is waking up to these people as seen by recent polls. Now if the media would stop acting like start treating them like the non-entity they are then we'd be making progress.

As far as Palin goes; go home Esther the people of Wisconsin have spoken.

    ReplyDelete
  30. From the audio, it sounded like the crowd was mostly booing. This is absolutely the best screeching she's ever done.

She also did an excellent job of exaggerating/fabricating her ties to unions and the teaching profession.

And then there was this gaff:
“The Tea Party movement wouldn’t exist without President Barack Obama.”

Tea Party leaders have worked hard to pretend their existence isn't related to Pres. Obama. After all, the debt didn't originate with his administration. So what is it exactly about Pres. Obama that got folks all riled up?

    http://newsdesk.learfielddemos.com/2011/04/16/palin-in-madison-audio/

As for her being a "union member", this link from the Alaska AFL CIO disputes that: In the post, Palin begs her “union brothers and sisters” to “seize the opportunity to show true solidarity.” She belonged to my union, the IBEW, for about a minute, over twenty years ago one summer, in a temporary position, and has the gall to call union members fighting for their basic right to collectively bargain her brothers and sisters. It’s shameful.

So, okay, if we accepted the proffered PR spin that she is not being paid for this screech, it means she is doing it just because she hates unions and working people.

    Way to go, Sarah.

You are a real piece of work, woman. Makes me ashamed to be of the same gender.

I can't wait until you tell your Jesus you did everything you could to put down families and hard-working. Jesus will be quite interested in how you wanted to lower their wages, take away their health care, and ruin their children's schools.

It's utterly sickening that she would insult the intelligence of Wisconsin's unionized workers by trying to sell them the discredited crap that Walker is trying to save jobs by jamming them so he can pay for the tax cuts to the corporations that supported him. It's just as much an insult to their intelligence as supporting the defunding of Planned Parenthood was to women.

PERFECT! And if there is anything that Trump's popularity exposes it is the utter stupidity and ugliness of America. Does he really think that his brand of ignorance and uneducated myopia will make the United States any less of a laughing-stock in the eyes of the world?!?

    Fucking idiots, all.

  90. the sound of her screech said it all - she was rattled and outnumbered, and not feeling the love/hate that she feeds on as much as her corporate paycheck from the koch bros. it is beyond insulting o the people of wi that she should come, lie about exaggerated union ties, and then pretend that walker did all of them a favor and that they are ingrates.
and then to bring PRESIDENT! obama (i am so sick of her not respecting his office as head of state, commander in chief) into her screech was not only unnecessary, but just more proof of the desperate jealousy she has for him and his success. she always acts like he has said or done something to personally insult her, but as he said, he never even thinks about what's her name. that had to sting her.
stay strong people of wi! you rock, and are shining examples of what the rest of us should be doing to counter the constant encroachment of corporations and their gop whores on our rights.

You should take great encouragement from events of the last couple of weeks. You worry that nothing will bring her down, but everything is bringing her down, every single day, bit by bit. When was the last time--in fact, never in all the footage I've seen at rallies--that you ever heard Palin so emphatically pissed on as you did at today's rally? Keep the faith.

How dishonorable it is for Miss Sarah to stand there with her fists in the air, enjoying the blessings and prosperity that America and the troops fight for; to give her and Bristol a chance to earn those high-paying salaries preaching to others. Has she no respect for those young soldiers who risk everything, to serve and protect, who pave her way to glorious wealth, yet she spitefully yells at their Commander in Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces and scolds him like a child?

So happy to see that the crowds were there in force to show her just what thousands of 'real Americans' are really thinking. But one issue I take with a few posters here --- please don't blame 'old' people for her popularity. Look at her followers a bit more closely, they are from all age groups. Many of us 'old' folks arrived here via the 60's and know a thing or two about grass-roots movements and protests to protect the working and middle class. In my little book-club there are 17 members well over the magic age and only one favors the birthers, the palinistas et al. Give us a bit more credit puh-leeze. The liberal movement didn't start in this century by any means. Thank you!

Sure doesn't seem like it's growing very fast in Wisconsin. A crowd of 500, even with people being bussed to the event, does not a large and growing movement make.

Lying Piece of Shit - another Palin exaggeration to make herself look good for her ignorant followers:

In Madison, Wisconsin today–and not for the first time–Sarah tried to identify herself with organized labor.
She said, “I’m here as a patriot, as a taxpayer, and as a former union member.”
I said, “Huh?” Lord, lordy, in all my research I somehow must have missed Sarah’s blue collar union days. But at least there’s still time to write about them in my last chapter, due June 4. So I checked.
Turns out that Vince Beltrami, president of Alaska AFL-CIO, already wrote about those glory days–on Feb. 19,in the Anchorage Daily News.
Beltrami was irked by the “utter hypocrisy” of Sarah urging (via Facebook) her “union brothers and sisters” to oppose
the protests against Wisconsin Gov. Walker’s signing into law a bill that stripped public employees of union rights.
He wrote, “She belonged to my union, the IBEW, for about a minute, over twenty years ago, one summer, in a temporary position.”
Now, again, she claims a link with organized labor by saying she’s “a former union member?”
Who does she think she’s kidding?

Yeah, she's not union. Never has been. Just a liar who thinks everyone else on the planet is too stupid to know.
Her entire family are not teachers. And definitely not her sisters! Not her mom. Not her "grandparents." Chuck Heath wasn't even a typical lifetime career teacher. In fact, the man was a teacher less than 20 years. He's been working for Department of Natural Resources, state and federal, longer than he was a teacher! Ha! That's where his pension is coming from.

Hey Sarah. Did you first learn that word "solidarity" in Bristol Bay during the commercial fishing strikes? Remember that Todd's a strikebreaker and a scab? Remember how he snuck around and went fishing, made salmon deliveries to the buyers, when 99% of the fleet was sitting out, in solidarity? 'Member that?
Oh. You don't. That's right, my bad, you weren't there. You don't fish!

She might be able to hear scerets ,and who knows maybe she's really a spy and just married Donald to get into that position, to be first lady where she could possibly do that. Hurry up someone introduce a bill, against allowing this travisitiy.
