(H/T to Maddow Blog.)

Does anybody else find that incredibly poetic?

I thought it was super - Truthful.

I say the same as to Alan Grayson's statement on the floor during the healthcare date, which still applies today given the facts that the RethugBaggers were going after Planned Parenthood, etc.

'Hurry up and die' - the healthcare plan of the Cult RethugBaggers.

Exquisite! Here's another bit of info on how the GOP and their (not poor) friends avail themselves of taxpayer dollars. The Housewives of Wall Street. Reality you can't buy. http://tinyurl.com/3d7yvz9

Anyone care to take a one million to one bet that this event will NOT make it onto the Fox channel? (You know, that channel that's "fair and balanced?")

BTW: They are STILL going after Planned Parenthood! Those TeaPukelicans have no decorum at all - in the 'old days' at least Republicans would lay off a topic for a few days or even weeks - now, they simply turn around and dress the same issue in a new number, and have at it again. :(

I love the NYC democrats like him, Anthony Weiner, and Gary Ackerman. They dont pull any punches. It makes me miss NY, Virginia is certainly not a hotbed of progressivism with Bob Mcdonnell as governor . We've come a long way, but it seems like we take two steps forward , when we elect successive dem governors, than take 5 steps back with Cuccinelli and Mc Donnell.

This should be a wakeup call for all of us...volunteer, make phone calls, donate if you can afford it. 2012 will be more important than even 2008 was. Citizens United has changed everything, and it will take all of us to fight back the Koch corporate overlords.

Obama Laughs At Donald Trump and Calls Birthers The GOP’s Problem

...Judging from the President’s reaction it is easy to see why Obama is welcoming Donald Trump and his birther circus into the 2012 race. The President is correct that birtherism is an effort to attack him and raise doubts about him by labeling him as different from most Americans. In the mind of a certain species of Republican, Obama is “The Other,” and the other is always something to be feared.

Republicans are hoping beyond hope that if they can scare enough Americans into believing that Obama is dangerous because he is different, so that they can take back the White House in 2012 Of course when they tried this very same strategy in 2008, it backfired and made Obama even more popular, so it’s nice to see that the Republican grassroots has collectively learned nothing since 2008.

Unlike what the conspiracy theorists portray, Obama seemed pretty happy to get to talk about the birther question, which is a pretty big sign that this isn’t an issue. None of this has stopped opportunists like Donald Trump, Newt Gingrich, and Mike Huckabee from using birther buzz words as an appeal to Republican primary voters.

It is a sign of just how far the Republican Party has fallen. Potential Republican presidential candidates have gone from arguing about conservatism to trying to woo voters by out birthering each other.

Every time Donald Trump goes off in the media about Obama’s birth certificate, it presents a problem for the GOP, not Barack Obama.

Interesting. Let's find out who and keep notes:

On the vote to defund Planned Parenthood which the Senate rejected, including 5 Republicans votes - Mark Kirk of Illinois, who I recall being a bagger who was all over the media looking for Sarah's endorsement!! Scott Brown, Lisa Murkoski, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins.

    But in the House:

"The same resolution passed the House earlier today by a vote of 241 to 185. Seven House Republicans voted to keep the Planned Parenthood funding, while 10 Democrats voted to eliminate it."

10 HOUSE DEMS VOTED TO ELIMINATE IT while 7 House Repubs voted to keep it.

    http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/04/14/6472644-senate-rejects-measure-to-defund-planned-parenthood-

Info and notes needs for future reference on the Dems!!!

    Virginia Voter at 3:00

I agree with your post. Huge wake up call for people to engage.

It should also be a reminder that ACORN is no long around to get their volunteers involved and to register voters.

This is a Factual Statement!" Gillibrand Rips Into House Republicans. Updated.

"These women ((Senators)) have drawn a line in the sand, a line we will not let you cross..."
"You will not balance the budget on the backs of women. Period."

"An entire agenda around an assault on women..."

"This is a factual statement. Current law already prevents federal money from paying for abortions. This has been the law of the land for over thirty years."

"The price for keeping the government open is this assault on women's rights."

"The Republican House is talking about how to continue this rhetoric and assault and negative effect on women and their families."

"The votes that we're going to have tomorrow, to defund Planned Parenthood, to repeal health care -- American women, make no mistake about it, this is an attack on you."

LOL: The US is One Moron Down!!

Sheen's in Toronto for shows Thurs & Friday!!

As for Obama responding to the birther Rethugs - President Clinton got it right in his interview the other day - you just let them go at it - why get in their way of them shooting themselves in the foot!!!

Although I often enjoy the loud and passionate arguments of legislators like Anthony Weiner, this was an extremely effective 'speech' because it was so unexpected.

There's a song that goes "You say it best when you say nothing at all". Perfect example of that, Representative Crowley!

He makes a very huge point that the WH and Dims largely ignore. And its a gold plated winner.

    Where are the jobs

The rich got their tax cut to create jobs, so where are they?

And I ask that of the WH even more, also too.
